Abstract

This research is a study and development of an e-module project to strengthen the Pancasila student profile phase E on the theme of local wisdom in the Bengkulu area. This research aims to determine the feasibility level of the e-module and the students' responses to the developed project e-module. The development of this e-module uses the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Develop, and Evaluation), which is limited only to the Develop stage. The research was conducted from May to July at SMAN 1 Kota Bengkulu. The subjects of the research were 36 tenth-grade students of class X.B at SMAN 1 Kota Bengkulu. The instruments in this research were interview sheets, validation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The results of this study showed that (1) the feasibility level of the e-module had a score of 93.6% with a category of very feasible, and (2) the student response test results to the e-module obtained a score of 89.0% with a category of very good. This means that the e-module project to strengthen the Pancasila student profile phase E on the theme of local wisdom in the Bengkulu area is suitable for use.

Abstract

Providing learning resources related to the use of natural resources and the environment around us is very necessary, so that the learning process in class is more active and interesting. This research aims to develop a natural product organic chemistry (KOBA) learning module based on research results on the use of natural product compounds, so that students are more motivated in learning. Research and Development (R&D) or development research uses the ADDIE development model which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects were 24 seventh semester students of the 2023/2024 Bengkulu University FKIP Chemistry Education Undergraduate Study Program. Data collection techniques use expert validation questionnaire sheets and student response questionnaires and data analysis techniques use quantitative data analysis. The results of the research show that the validator's assessment of the developed module obtained an average score of 93.60%, which is included in the very valid category, while the results of student assessments of the developed module obtained an average of 93%, which is included in the very interesting category. Based on the results of the expert validation assessment questionnaire and student response questionnaire, it can be concluded that the module developed is very suitable for use as a learning resource in the learning process.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the content of secondary metabolites and the effect of administration and effective dose of water extract of Plukenetia Volubilis (sacha inchi) leaves on triglyceride levels in diabetic mice. The research design is experimental with the pre-post test method and control group design. The samples used were 21 male white mice which were divided into 7 groups, namely the normal group, the positive control group (given glibenclamide), the negative group (only alloxan), and the treatment group (treated with sacha inchi leaf water extract) with different doses that is dosis dosis 0,26 g/kgBB, 0,525 g/kgBB, 0,525 g/kgBB (boiled water), 1,05 g/kgBB. Taking glucose and triglyceride data was checked 3 times within 10 days using a glucometer and lipid pro. The data analysis used the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) method with the Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) Statistic IBM 23. This research began with testing of phytochemical compounds to determine secondary metabolism. Phytochemical test results with aqueous extract of Plukenetia Volubilis leaves contain tannins, alkaloids, saponins, and flavonoids. During 10 days of testing blood glucose and triglyceride levels on mice induced by alloxan, the effective dose was reduced on day 7 with a dose of 4 (1,05 g/kgBB). Based on the results of this research , it can be concluded that Plukenetia Volumbilis (Sacha Inchi) leaf water extract was detected to reduce blood glucose levels in mice and reduce blood triglyceride levels in mice for a certain time. Abstract

The common method used in population dynamics is optimal control, which employs Pontryagin’s minimum principle. This method minimizes costs, with the constraint function being the model dynamics. Unfortunately, if the main objective of the control function is to modify the population’s behavior to follow a specific pattern, this method is challenging to apply. This article introduces a control function to the predator-prey model for the tracking problem using the backstepping method. The control function drives the population from the initial value towards the given trajectory. The goal is to maintain the balance between predator and prey populations in the habitat, with the chosen trajectory being the equilibrium point. The application of backstepping to the predator-prey model is combined with input-output feedback linearization to obtain a normal form, enabling the implementation of backstepping. Simulation results show that the controller successfully drives the predator-prey populations toward the equilibrium point with a relatively small control function and excellent performance.

Abstract

This article presents the uncertain Genesio-Tesi, a third-order Jerk equation in the form of an ordinary differential equation, with the potential to exhibit chaos under certain conditions. The main focus of this article is to design a control function for the uncertain Genesio-Tesi, which has uncertain parameters with unknown values. The adaptive backstepping method designs the control function, demonstrating its ability to stabilize the system output towards a given trajectory using Lyapunov stability. To test the robustness of the proposed control method, simulations were conducted with various scenarios, including disturbances to the steady-state system. Simulation results show that the controller successfully drove the system output along a desired trajectory, whether constant or a function, and maintained system stability even with significant disturbances.

Abstract

Abstract

The integration of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) approaches in chemistry education offers new opportunities to foster active, interdisciplinary, and skills-oriented learning. However, practical resources that align with this pedagogical framework, particularly in laboratory instruction, remain limited. This study aims to develop and evaluate a STEAM-based electronic practicum guide on the topic of saponification, focusing on its feasibility, student responses, and its effectiveness in enhancing students' psychomotor skills. The development process followed the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), with implementation limited to the development stage. Participants included fourth-semester chemistry education students. The practicum guide underwent expert validation and was trialed through student feedback and performance-based observation of psychomotor competencies. The results revealed that the practicum guide achieved a high validity score (87.8%), received very positive student responses (93.1%), and significantly supported the development of psychomotor skills, with an average performance score of 94.2%. These findings suggest that the STEAM-based practicum guide is both feasible and effective as an instructional tool, offering meaningful and engaging learning experiences in chemistry laboratories. The study contributes to the advancement of innovative practicum materials and supports the implementation of STEAM principles in science education.
