Abstract

Child aggression has become an increasing problem in recent years. Children who exhibit aggressive behavior tend to have difficulty controlling their emotions, get angry quickly and are often involved in conflicts with peers and family members. If not adequately addressed, this aggressiveness can negatively impact a child's social, emotional, and academic development, potentially leading to more severe behaviors later in life. One proven effective way to reduce aggressiveness in children is through play therapy. In this therapy, children can process emotions that are difficult to understand or express verbally, including anger and frustration, which often trigger aggressiveness. The study aims to see play therapy's effectiveness in reducing children's aggressiveness. The method used in this study is meta-analysis, in which researchers reviewed 14 selected journals based on predetermined characteristics. The analysis results show that play therapy has a significant effect size and effectively reduces aggressiveness in children. Further studies could explore the long-term impact of play therapy on children's aggressiveness across different age groups and cultural backgrounds, as well as its effectiveness when combined with other therapeutic interventions.

Abstract

Each schools have the autonomous right to manage and develop an independent curriculum according to its potential. However, the implementation of the independent learning curriculum is dependent on proper management at the school level, so there may be obstacles faced by schools in managing the independent learning curriculum. The purpose of this study is to investigate the concept and problems, as well as school strategies in managing an independent learning curriculum in laboratory schools. This research was studied qualitatively with a multi-site study design. Data collection was conducted through focus group discussions (FGDs) with semistructured interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data validity was checked using source triangulation, discussion among fellow researchers, and adequacy of reference materials. Data analysis techniques used constant comparative analysis. The results show that learning activities in the independent curriculum emphasize character education and the achievement of students' happiness in learning, and schools implement differentiated learning and simplify the values contained in P5 through projects and fun learning. This research contributes theoretically and practically, by complementing previous literature and can be a guide for school managers in order to ideally manage an independent curriculum.

Abstract

Purpose:This study aims to investigate the role of trust in political candidate and personal affect on voting behavior.Methodology: The population of this research is permanent voters in Sukun Subdistrict, Malang City. While the study sample amounted to 100 respondents with accidental sampling technique. This study uses 3 scales as research instruments: the scale of trust in presidential candidate, the PANAS scale (The Positive and Negative Affect Schedule), and the scale of voting behavior. The research data were then analyzed using the multiple regression analysis technique. Results: The results showed that the variable of trust in candidate and personal affect jointly influenced voting behavior (F=61.676; p<0.05). The effective contribution made by the two predictor variables (trust in candidate and personal affect) to the criterion variable (voting behavior) was 56 percent. Based on this analysis, it can be concluded that the research hypothesis is accepted. The analysis also showed that the variable of trust in candidate (β=0.455) is stronger than personal affect (β=0.388) in predicting voting behavior.

Abstract

Cases of child sexual abuse (CSA) in Indonesia continue to rise annually, representing a serious social and public health concern. Parents play a crucial role in preventing CSA, as they can directly teach children about bodily autonomy and safety. However, many parents lack awareness, hold misconceptions, and feel uncomfortable discussing sexual matters with their children. Despite their importance, interventions targeting parents remain limited, with most programs focusing primarily on children. This study aims to identify factors influencing parental awareness of CSA prevention and to examine parent-focused interventions through a systematic literature review (SLR). Data were collected from Google Scholar, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Sage, and ScienceDirect using Publish or Perish (PoP) software, applying inclusion criteria and the PRISMA framework. Thirteen relevant articles published within the past ten years were analyzed. Findings indicate that economic status, education level, limited knowledge, and negative attitudes significantly affect parents’ ability to educate their children about CSA prevention. In Indonesia, parent-focused interventions primarily include the “Underwear Rules” program and psychoeducational sessions using lectures, audiovisual media, worksheets, and roleplay. Internationally, interventions are more diverse, including structured training and game-based approaches, which enhance parental confidence, knowledge, and communication skills. These findings highlight the importance of culturally sensitive programs that actively involve parents as central agents in preventing CSA.
