Abstract

Abstract. The objective of the study is to find out science process skills students on discovery learning in class XI of Senior High School 9 of Maros. This study was descriptive research. The groups chosen as the study sample are XI MIPA 1 with number of students 35 people.  The research data is observation of the student’s science process skills. data analysis technique with descriptive statistics. Descriptive statistics are used to describe students' science process skills. The results showed that the average increase in students' science process skills at the first meeting was 66.50%, increasing to 75.07% at the second meeting, and increasing to 81.11% at the third meeting. and is in the category of sufficient to good category. The conclusion of this research is the science process skills of grade XI MIPA  1 of SMAN 9 Maros can be improving through based discovery learning. Keywords: discovery learning, science process skills

Abstract

Abstract.  Global demands require the world of education to always adjust technological developments towards efforts to improve the quality of education. This study aims to determine the potential and needs of lecturers and students in biology classroom, which will be used as a base in the development of blended learning integrated with PBLRQA strategy (Problem-Based Learning and Reading, Questioning & Answering) on biology classroom. This research was a descriptive research. The results of this study showed that lecturers and students need a learning environment that integrates technology in learning, allowing students to communicate and obtain information from various sources. The use of technology in learning with blended learning integrated with PBLRQA strategy can create the learning environment more effective, efficient, and interesting, suitable with students' interest in the use of interactive media such as laptops and smartphones. By using technology, abstract material in biology can be more easily understood and problems related to biological learning expected to be resolved. Abstract

Abstrak. Meningkatnya  jumlah   penduduk  dunia  akan  membuat  kebutuhan  energi negara-negara  di dunia  meningkat  termasuk  Indonesia.  Ketersediaan  minyak  bumi  Indonesia  semakin  menipis sehingga untuk memenuhi kebutuhan minyak dalam negeri. Indonesia harus import  minyak dari negara  lain. Hal  ini  perlu  adanya  energi  baru  dan  terbarukan  yang  mampu  memenuhi kebutuhan  energi  dalam negeri.  Salah  satu  energi  baru  tersebut  yaitu  bioetanol.  Bioetanol merupakan  penyebutan  alkohol  atau  etanol  yang  bersumber  dari  bahan  hayati,  salah  satunya adalah  nira  siwalan.  Artikel ini memberikan ulasan tentang bahan bakar alternatif dari fermentasi nira lontar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan data sekunder sebagai sumber datanya. Adapun hasil dari telaah pustaka yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa, tingginya kandungan gula pada nira lontar yang berkisar antara 10-30% menjadikannya potensial untuk dikembangkan menjadi bioetanol. Namun, studi lebih lanjut harus dilakukan untuk menentukan efektivitas dan efisiensi penggunaan bahan bakar dari nira lontar pada mesin-mesin kendaraan.Kata Kunci: Bioetanol, Nira Lontar, Bahan Bakar Alternatif, Energi Terbarukan

Abstract

ABSTRACTEducation produces quality human resources. Thus, educational institutions are required to improve the quality of their education. The application of learning media that involves students more in the learning process is very necessary so that students will be able to understand the concepts being studied. One suitable learning alternative to further improve students in the learning process is to use mind map media. This research uses quasi experimental design method. The type of research design used in this study is pretest and posttest control group design. The population in this study were all students in class IV as many as 42 students, while the sample in this study was class IV A as a control class of 21 students and class B as a control class of 21 students. Analysis of the data used is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using anacova. The results of data analysis showed the average learning outcomes of the experimental class using mind maps media by 93% and the control class using conventional media by 79%. Anacova test results obtained p-level values smaller than α 0.05. Thus it can be concluded that there is the influence of mind maps on learning outcomes of Natural SciencesKeywords: Mind Map, Learning Outcomes, Science ABSTRAK                                                                                          Pendidikan menghasilkan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Dengan demikian, lembaga pendidikan dituntut untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikannya. Penerapan media  pembelajaran yang lebih melibatkan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran sangat diperlukan sehingga siswa akan dapat memahami konsep yang sedang dipelajarinya. Salah satu alternatif pembelajaran yang sesuai untuk lebih meningkatkan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran adalah dengan menggunakan media peta pikiran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experimental design. Jenis desain penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pretes dan postes control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV sebanyak 42 siswa, sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas IV A sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 21 siswa dan kelas B sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 21 siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial menggunakan anakova. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen menggunakan media peta pikiran sebesar 93% dan kelas kontrol menggunakan media konvensional sebesar 79%. Hasil uji anakova diperoleh nilai p-level lebih kecil dari α 0,05. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh peta pikiran terhadap hasil belajar IPAKata Kunci : Peta Pikiran, Hasil Belajar, IPA

Abstract

Higher-order thinking is one of the skills that must be possessed by students in learning in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The use of teaching materials that do not facilitate students to develop higher order thinking skills has an impact on the achievement of learning objectives. This study aims to develop an e-module based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) for high school students. The e-module was developed using a research and development design with reference to the development of the ADDIE model. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews, observations, instruments and response questionnaires. The data obtained were then processed using descriptive statistical analysis. The implementation of e-modules as a learning resource for students can be used as independent learning, both at school, at home, and wherever they are without being tied to time. The results of this study indicate that the use of HOTS-based e-modules in learning can improve students' higher order thinking skills, and can make students learn independently.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of the Project-Based Learning learning model based on ARCS motivational strategies on motivation and students scientific attitude on the environmental change in 10th grade of SMAN 11 Pinrang. This type of research is quasi-experimental research involving two groups in which one acts as an experimental group and the other as a control group with the research design Matching pretest-postest comparison group design. The sample in this study were students of class X EXACT 2 as an experimental class and class X EXACT 1 as a control class obtained using random sampling techniques by taking cognitive scores from the previous semester and looking at their equivalence with a significance value of 0.275 with a class conclusion conducted an equivalent study in terms of cognition. The type of research instruments used were the Motivation and Scientific Attitudes questionnaire. The learning outcomes test in the form of multiple choice tests is used as supporting data to prove the correlation or relationship between students' motivation with the learning outcomes they have obtained. Descriptive statistics are used to describe interests and learning outcomes while inferential statistics to test the research hypotheses carried out by covariance analysis. The results showed that (1) there was an influence on the use of PJBL based on ARCS motivational strategies on the students motivation of SMAN 11 Pinrang (2) there was an influence on the use of PJBL based on ARCS motivational strategies on the scientific attitude of SMAN 11 Pinrang.Keywords: PJBL, ARCS motivational strategy, motivation questionnaire, scientific attitude questionnaire

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasy experimental) yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media power point dan animasi terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Makassar. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah  ada pengaruh penggunaan media power point terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Negeri 1 Makassar kelas XI IPA2sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah siswa 32 orang dan kelas XI IPA3 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah siswa 32 orang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 5 kali pertemuan. Pengukuran hasil belajar dilakukan dengan memberikan tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk pilihan ganda. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan mengevaluasi hasil belajar, melalui tes tertulis yang meliputi Pretes (tes hasil belajar kognitif awal siswa) dan postest (tes hasil belajar kognitif akhir siswa) Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif dengan menggunakan pedoman pengkategorian hasil belajar menurut Arikunto dan uji hipotesis secara inferensial dengan menggunakan analisis kovariansi (Anakova) dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran diperoleh nilai p lebih kecil dari alpha 0,05 (p < 0,05) dengan sig. 0,010. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to determine the effect of PBL, RQA, PBLRQA, and conventional learning on cognitive learning outcome of students with different academic level in Basic Biology classroom. This research was a quasy experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. Cognitive learning outcome was measured by essay test. Data were analysed with descriptive and inferential statistics with ANCOVA. The result of research showed that: 1) learning strategy and academic level effected on cognitive learning outcome. PBLRQA had the potency to improve cognitive learning outcome greater than others strategy, 2) cognitive learning outcome of students with higher academic level was higher than lower academic level, 3) interaction between learning strategy and academic level did not effect on cognitive learning outcome. PBLRQA could use as basic of development of Biology learning strategy and others subject.Key Words: Problem-based learning, reading questioning answering, cognitive learning outcome, academic level, basic biologyAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh PBL, RQA, PBLRQA, dan pembelajaran konvensional terhadap hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa berkemampuan akademik berbeda pada perkuliahan Biologi Dasar. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial dengan anakova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) strategi pembelajaran dan kemampuan akademik berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kognitif. PBLRQA berpotensi meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif dibandingkan strategi lainnya, 2) hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa berkemampuan akademik atas lebih tinggi daripada kemampuan akademik bawah, 3) interaksi antara strategi dengan kemampuan akademik tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kognitif. Abstract

The 21st century learning paradigm requires teachers to be able to use information and communication technology (ICT). One way to overcome the problem of low students' activities and learning outcome is the use of ICT-based learning media such as the use of AutoPlay Media Studio 8software as one of the learning innovations. The use of AutoPlay Media Studio 8-based learning media is one proof of teacher's ability in Technological, Pedagogical, Content Knowledge (TPCK). TPCK is a framework in designing new learning models by integrating technology in teaching. This research was a classroom action research conducted at Somba Opu Vocational School, which consists of two cycles. The subjects of the study were 21 students of class X1. Factors investigated were improvement of students’ activities and learning outcomes through the use of AutoPlay Media Studio 8-basedlearning media. The data of students’ learning activities were collected by using documentation and observation sheet, and the data of students’ learning outcomewere collected by using test of learning result at each end of cycle. The results showed that the use of AutoPlay Media Studio 8-based learningmedia can improve the activities and learning outcomes of students of class X1Somba Opu Vocational School. Therefore, teachers are required to have knowledge of pedagogy, content, and technology as teaching skill so as to create innovative learning

Abstract

Kondisi topografi yang ada di Kecamatan Bulukumpa yang cenderung bergelombang dan berbatu menjadi permasalahan utama dalam bercocok tanam. Disamping itu, pengetahuan akan teknologi bididaya pun masih sangat minim, sehingga masyarakat setempat hanya mengandalkan sistem budidaya tradisional yang sudah digunakan selama bertahun-tahun. Permasalah lain adalah kemampuan masyarakat untuk mencari alternatif sumber protein lain jika sewaktu-waktu cuaca buruk sehingga nelayan sulit untuk melaut, pada kondisi ini, harga ikan menjadi naik dan keadaan inipun membuat masyarakat semakin sulit untuk memenuhi kebutuhan akan protein. Ada beberapa sistem budidaya ikan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat, namun terkadang modal pembuatan kolam ikan dengan hasil yang didapatkan tidak seimbang, sehingga banyak masyarakat tidak melanjutkan budidaya ikannya lagi. Sejumlah penelitian yang ada di Universitas Muslim Indonesia telah dilakukan termasuk teknik budidaya dengan metode aquaponik, aeroponik serta penerapan sistem tanam mina padi. Dibawah naungan Fakultas Pertanian UMI, tentunya teknik budidaya ini sangat diharapkan untuk didisemenasikan ke masyarakat agar permasalahan yang dihadapi selama ini dapat teratasi. Dengan dilaksanakannya penyuluhan ini, para kelompok tani serta masyarakat di Kecamatan Bulukumpa mendapatkan solusi dari permasalahan yang sering dihadapi dengan menerapkan sistem aeroponik, akuaponik maupun sistem mina padi, bahkan tidak hanya untuk dikonsumsi sendiri, melainkan bisa juga dijadikan sebagai sumber penghasilan baru jika dikembangkan dengan skala yang lebih besar.
