Abstract

Professionalism is an important key to an organization in achieving their success. One of the essential factors influencing the formation of committed professional resources is the employees’ perception of the quality of their work life. This study aims to examine the effects of the quality of work life (QWL) (appropriate and fair compensation, work stress, employee participation, career growth and development, social relevance, work environment) on organizational commitment (OC) simultaneously or partially. The participants of this study were 109 quality assurance team employees at a state university in Indonesia. The data collected through questionnaires were analyzed by simple regression and Pearson’s correlation test. The results showed that there is a significant influence between QWL and OC. The six predictors of QWL showed a significant relationship with OC (r .05) with the most influencing indicators as follows: career growth and development (p = .612), appropriate and fair compensation (p = .558), employee participation (p = .515), work stress (p = ˗.510), social relevance (p = .498), and work environment (p = .422). This study suggests that a state university shoud provide wider opportunities for quality assurance employees to develop and demonstrate their abilities and creativity as an effort to increase their OC.

Abstract

This analysis has been undertaken to demonstrate the life of the impact of emotional intelligence and reward on Organizational Citizenship Behavior in the Surakarta district. The methodology in this study uses a quantitative approach to multiple linear regression. The sample was carried out on 118 Teachers in Surakarta City. A closed questionnaire on the Google form based on the Likert scale was the testing instrument. T-test and F-test hypothesis testing. The conclusions show several conclusions, namely: 1) Emotional intelligence contributes positively and significantly to Organizational Citizenship Behavior in Surakarta City, meaning that emotional Organizational Citizenship Behavior can increase intelligence. 2) Incentives lead favorably and substantially to teachers in Surakarta City's Organizational Citizenship Behavior, where the incentive will improve teachers' Organizational Citizenship Behavior. 3) Emotional Intelligence and Compensation have an effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior in Surakarta City with a determination coefficient value of 0.495 or 49.5%, namely, emotional intelligence and reward together contribute to Organizational Citizenship Behavior (Y) of 49.5%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to comprehensively describe and describe the effect of organizational justice and conflict management on loyalty of vocational school teachers in central Jakarta indonesia. This research was conducted to Private Vocational High Schools (SMK) in central Jakarta. Research methods This study uses a quantitative research survey method, as for analyzing data using path analysis. Path analysis technique in this study is to determine the causal relationship between variables or the direct influence of exogenous variables on endogenous variables. Endogenous variables in this study are teachers loyalty, while the exogenous variables in this study are organizational justice and conflict management. Data collection was carried out through questionnaire filling. Based on the calculation results obtained by path analysis 1) the direct effect of organizational justice on teachers loyalty, the value of the path coefficient of 0.425 and tcount of 6.6964, meaning that organizational justice has a direct positive effect on teachers loyalty can be accepted increasing organizational justice resulting in increased teachers loyalty. 2) the direct effect of conflict management on the teachers loyalty, path coefficient of 0.225 and tcount of 3.378. Means, the direct influence of conflict management on teachers loyalty, the value of the path coefficient of 0.425 and tcount of 6.6964. 3)organizational justice has a direct positive effect on teachers loyalty can be accepted. That is, increasing organizational justice results in increased teachers loyalty.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to answer the following questions. Is there a relationship between the level of pleasure of working in school and the professional level of teachers teaching reading literacy based on PISA 2018. The research method used is quantitative methods. The data in this study uses PISA 2018 data that has been released to the public and has been permitted to be used for research development purposes. The population of this study were teachers teaching 15 year old students who were studying in 2018, while the sample was teachers teaching 15 year old students who took PISA tests in 80 countries. The reason for selecting the sample is that teachers teach students who are taking the 2018 PISA test. The data in this study is in the form of a questionnaire that was answered by teachers in 80 countries, namely 89040 teachers from 80 countries. Based on the results of simple regression analysis, the results show that there is a relationship between the level of pleasure of working in school and the professional level of teachers teaching reading literacy based on PISA 2018 (P <0.000). The conclusion is that statistically there is a relationship between the level of pleasure of working in school and the professional level of teachers teaching reading literacy based on the 2018 PISA. Most of the respondents enjoy working in schools and professionals in teaching reading literacy.

Abstract

The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in teachers who are one of the stakeholders’ education having to quickly adapt to changes in the learning system, which were initially face-to-face and then turned into virtual faces. This sudden change also caused a lot of anxiety experienced by the teacher. Therefore, this study aims to determine teachers’ challenges during distance learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. In this study, the informants were fourth teachers of state junior high school 8 Cilacap. Data was obtained from observations, interviews, and documentation using analytical techniques in reduction, classification, and conclusions. The results showed five challenges for teachers during distance learning: planning lessons, preparing students, motivating students, instilling character in students, and unstable internet networks. The teacher finally looks for the best way or solution to overcome it, namely by discussing with students using various learning technologies or applications, collaborating with parents, and participating in training to improve their competencies.

Abstract

Peningkatan mutu sekolah merupakan sebuah upaya untuk menciptakan dan menjamin proses perubahan yang terus menerus terjadi, apalagi di masa pandemi saat ini. Sebuah tugas bersama dalam memberikan yang terbaik dalam pembangunan sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberi gambaran peningkatkan mutu sekolah melalui modal sosial. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya modal sosial yang ada di sekolah yang membuat sekolah ini terus bertahan di masa pandemi saat ini. Unsur modal sosial ini adalah norma, jaringan dan kepercayaan. Ketiga unsur itu dibentuk melalui guru, murid ddan masyarakat sekitaran sekolah. Melalui hal itulah sekolah ini dapat menambah jumlah siswa dan mutu  sekolah menjadi lebih baik lagi. adanya modal sosial ini menambah citra baik sekolah alam menggaet murid untuk masuk dan  mendaftar sekolah tersebut. Karena nilai-nilai yang dihasilkan memberikan sebuah kecerdasan karakter untuk anak bangsa

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana proses manajemen pendidikan berbasis asrama di SMK berbasis kejuruan musik. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui proses serta implementasi dari manajemen pendidikan berbasis asrama di SMK Musik Perguruan “Cikini”. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses manajemen pendidikan berbasis asrama yang ada di SMK Musik Perguruan “Cikini” sudah berjalan dengan baik diakibatkan proses perencanaan yang dilakukan sudah diimplementasikan dengan baik dalam proses kegiatan pembelajaran serta kegiatan keasramaan yang dilakukan serta kegiatan evaluasi pelaksanaan dilakukan secara rutin oleh pihak-pihak yang ada disekolah. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan akan menghasilkan berbagai rumusan lebih lanjut mengenai peningkatan manajemen pendidikan berbasis asrama khususnya di sekolah kejuruan berbasis musik.

Abstract

Performance is the result of work and the progress that has been made by someone in their field of work. In achieving good result it needs to be supported by managerial effectiveness and a good work ethic between each person has an influence in improving teacher performance Elementary School at Kecamatan Teluk Mutiara Kabupater Alor.The population in this study amounted to 229 teachers, taking research samples using simple random sampling techniques using Slovin formula so that there were 146 teachers. Data is empirical data obtained from questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability. The collected data was anakyzed by descriptive analysis, then the hypothesis used path analysis.The results of the study show that there is a Principal Management Effectiveness that has a positive direct on performance. Work Ethics has a positive direct effect on performance. PPrincipal Management Effectiveness has a positive direct effect on the Work Ethic. The research implications are to improve the managerial effectiveness

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe based on participative school to improve the accreditation of Strada Nawar Junior High School, Bekasi, in terms of (a) Planning, (b) Organization, (c) Implementation, and (d) Evaluation. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach by a case study in Strada Nawar Junior High School, Bekasi. The informants are the principal, teachers, administration staffs, all employees and students of Strada Nawar Junior High School Bekasi, taken according to the assignment or reference of the previous accreditation assessment. Data collection technique uses observation and interview. School-based management and participation management have to be applied in teamwork between the teachers, staffs, vice principal and society to write down every format according to their own task, needed in the school accreditation in Strada Nawar Junior High School. The main role is the principle as the manager to improve the school accreditation. While the resistors are: (1) Lack of information in assessment aspects and format so they still use old guidance, (2) Lack of preparation of time and team, (3) Lack of collaboration and participation of all school components, (4) Less effective management of the principle as the leader to face the accreditation assessment. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai sekolah berbasis partisipatif dalam meningkatkan akreditasi di SMP Strada Nawar Kota Bekasi dalam hal: (a) Perencanaan, (b) Pengorganisasian, (c) Pelaksanaan, dan (d) Evaluasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi kasus di SMP Strada Nawar Bekasi. Informan penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru, staf tata usaha (TU) dan seluruh pegawai serta siswa-siswi SMP Strada Nawar Kota Bekasi yang diambil berdasarkan penugasan atau penunjukkan dalam pelaksanaan penilaian akreditasi sebelumnya. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah melalui observasi dan wawancara. Manajemen berbasis sekolah dan manajemen partisipasi harus diterapkan melalui kerjasama yang melibatkan guru, staff, wakil kepala sekolah dan masyarakat dalam mengisi format sesuai dengan tugasnya masing-masing yang dibutuhkan dalam akreditasi sekolah di SMP Strada Nawar. Peran yang paling utama adalah kepalah sekolah sebagai manajer dalam peningkatan akreidatasi sekolah. Sementara, faktor penghambatnya adalah Kurangnya informasi dalam aspek penilaian dan formatnya sehingga masih menggunakan panduan lama, (2) Kurang persiapan dari segi waktu dan tim yang dibentuk, (3) Kurangnya kerjasama dan partisipasi seluruh komponen sekolah, (4) Manajemen yang kurang efektif dari kepala sekolah selaku pimpinan dalam menghadapi penilaian akreditasi. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of compensation and organizational commitment to the performance of teachers of MTs Swasta in Jepara District. This research uses survey research methods with path analysis techniques. The study was conducted in Jepara District with a total of 15 schools with 139 teacher respondents. The findings in this study indicate: First, Compensation has a direct positive effect on performance. This means that compensation results in an increase in the performance of teachers of MTs Swasta in Jepara Regency. Second, Organizational Commitment has a positive direct effect on performance. This means that with the increase in organizational commitment for each teacher, there has been an increase in the performance of teachers of MTs Swasta in Jepara Regency. Third, compensation has a positive direct effect on organizational commitment. This means that by giving compensation it results in an increase in the organizational commitment of teacher of MTs Swasta in Jepara Regency. Abstrak Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompensasi dan komitmen organisasi terhadap kinerja guru MTs Swasta di Kabupaten Jepara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian survey dengan teknik analisis jalur (path analysis). Studi dilakukan di Kabupaten Jepara dengan jumlah 15 sekolah dengan responden 139 guru. Temuan dalam penelitan ini mengindikasikan: Pertama, Kompensasi berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap kinerja. Artinya dengan kompensasi mengakibatkan adanya peningkatan kinerja guru MTs swasta di Kabupaten Jepara. Kedua, Komitmen Organisasi berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap kinerja. Artinya dengan adanya peningkatan komitmen organisasi pada setiap guru mengakibatkan adanya peningkatan kinerja guru MTs swasta di Kabupaten Jepara. Ketiga, kompensasi berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap komitmen organisasi. Artinya dengan diberikannya kompensasi mengakibatkan adanya peningkatan komitmen organisasi guru MTs swasta di Kabupaten Jepara. Kata Kunci: kinerja, komitmen organisasi, kompensasi
