Abstract

Stunting remains a major nutritional challenge in Indonesia and is closely associated with low nutritional literacy among adolescents. Schools play an important role in improving students’ understanding of nutrition and health through contextual learning. However, biology learning materials are still largely limited to conventional textbooks and worksheets that do not integrate nutritional literacy and stunting issues. This study aimed to develop a STEM-based interactive module on the digestive system to improve nutritional literacy and stunting risk awareness among high school students. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model. The participants were 36 Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 7 Makassar. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, nutritional literacy pretest-posttest, and stunting risk awareness questionnaires. The results showed that the module was highly valid (3.80/4.00) and highly practical (3.70/4.00). The module was also effective, as indicated by 94.44% classical learning completeness and a high N-gain score of 0.78 from pretest to posttest results. In addition, students demonstrated a very high level of stunting risk awareness (95.20%). Therefore, the STEM-based interactive module is feasible and effective for improving students’ nutritional literacy and awareness of stunting prevention.

Abstract

Kerusakan lingkungan hidup yang semakin meningkat menuntut peran pendidikan dalam membentuk generasi muda yang memiliki kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pengetahuan lingkungan hidup dengan perilaku peduli lingkungan hidup siswa sebagai sebagai salah satu indikator efektivitas pendidikan lingkungan hidup. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian non-eksperimental dengan desain korelasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 163 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 butir soal untuk mengukur pengetahuan lingkungan hidup dan angket sebanyak 20 pernyataan untuk mengukur perilaku peduli lingkungan hidup. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi r=0,026 p=0,743. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,026 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,743 (p), yang menunjukkan hubungan yang sangat lemah dan tidak signifikan secara statistik. Dengan demikian, tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan lingkungan hidup dengan perilaku peduli lingkungan hidup pada siswa SMA Negeri 1 Tana Toraja.

Abstract

This community service program is motivated by the still-limited competence of teachers in designing innovative, student-centered instruction, particularly in plant classification. Plant classification instruction often remains focused on memorizing concepts and does not provide sufficient opportunities for students to develop critical thinking skills, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry. Therefore, this initiative aims to enhance teachers’ professional and pedagogical competencies through mentoring in designing instruction based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and Problem-Based Learning (PBL). The activity was conducted in collaboration with the General and Diniyah Subject Teachers’ Group at Al-Bayyinah Junior High School, Al-Kindi Mas Akbar Foundation, Makassar, through the stages of planning, implementation, mentoring, and evaluation. The methods used included presentations, group discussions, and learning workshops. The results of the activity demonstrated the teachers’ understanding of innovative PBL- and PjBL-based learning. Additionally, participants provided positive feedback on the program's content and activities during implementation. This program is expected to inspire teachers to develop contextual, implementable, and student-centered learning materials on plant classification using PjBL and PBL approaches.

Abstract

Abstract Purpose: This study aimed to develop and evaluate a web-based learning platform on reproductive health as an educational strategy to prevent sexual violence among junior high school students in Makassar, Indonesia.Research Methodology: This Research and Development (R&D) study employed the ADDIE model and involved students from SMPN 21 Makassar and MTsN 1 Makassar. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and knowledge tests, and were analyzed descriptively using validation scores, percentage analysis, and N-Gain.Results: Expert validation results indicated that both the media and the content were valid, with scores of 4.775 and 4.792, respectively. Practicality testing based on student responses showed a score of 76.30 (interesting category) at SMPN 21 Makassar and 86.78 (very interesting category) at MTsN 1 Makassar. The effectiveness of the platform was analyzed using the N-Gain score derived from pre-test and post-test comparisons. The results showed that SMPN 21 Makassar achieved an N-Gain score of 0.41 (moderate category), while MTsN 1 Makassar achieved an N-Gain score of 0.91 (high category).Conclusions: These findings indicate that the developed web-based learning platform is valid, practical, and demonstrates preliminary effectiveness in improving students’ knowledge of reproductive health and sexual violence prevention.Limitations: This study was conducted as a limited pilot test without a control group and relied on short-term knowledge measurement.Contributions: This platform can be used as a supporting educational tool to enhance students’ understanding of reproductive health, self-protection, and awareness of sexual violence risks.Keywords: Digital media 1, Teenagers 2, Reproductive Health 3.

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan zaman dan kemajuan teknologi telah memudahkan dalam penyajian informasi, utamanya proses belajar mengajar Namun, di era serba digital ini, ada masyarakat yang belum bisa merasakan pesatnya kemajuan teknologi, terutama anak-anak muda penyandang disabilittas dan anak-anak yang kesulitan belajar langsung karena kendala ekonomi. Maka dari itu diperlukannya media pembelajaran yang interaktif bagi anak-anak penyandang disabilitas yang mengalami kesulitan dalam pembelajaran langsung. Dengan tujuan agar mereka mendapat media pembelajaran yang khusus dirancang untuk mereka. Media pembelajaran interakrif yang akan dibuat adalah pembelajaran menggunakan metode Computer Assisted Learning (CAL) saat ini berkembang pesatt dengan segala bentuk inovasi. Metode ini dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif dari metode klasikal yang bisa digunakan guru untuk mengajar di kelas. Computation Learning (CAL) adalah sutu pendekatan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar yang memberikan dukungan media untuk penyajian, penguatan materi, dan pengukuran materi selama pembelajaran, biasanya disajikan dalam elemen interaktif menggunakan multimedia.
