Abstract

This study investigates how different leadership styles, such as transformational and transactional, affect employee motivation and organizational performance within the service sector. Through a survey of service-based organizations, the research highlights the relationship between leadership approach, employee satisfaction, and overall productivity. Findings suggest that transformational leadership significantly enhances motivation and performance, offering a strategic advantage in a competitive market.

Abstract

This article analyzes how corporate governance practices influence financial performance in companies within emerging economies. Using data from firms in Asia and Africa, the research examines the impact of board composition, audit quality, and transparency on profitability and shareholder value. Findings indicate that robust corporate governance practices contribute to better financial outcomes, enhancing the stability and attractiveness of companies in emerging markets.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to be able to determine and analyze the legal protection arrangements for electronic sports players (E-Sports) that fall into the category of minors as it is known that children who are in their teens can not do much, therefore the employment agreement requires written permission of the parents. The author uses normative research methods, the nature of analytical prescriptive research. The results and discussion in this study concluded that legal protection for e-sports players with e-sports companies in principle work agreements have been preventively regulated in the law on sports, the Civil Code including special rules PBESI Regulation No. 034/PB-ESI/B/VI / 2021 as a form of regulation of E-sports legal protection in Indonesia. It's just that in terms of repressive legal protection through PBESI Regulation No. 034/PB-ESI/B/VI / 2021 regarding dispute resolution still contains weaknesses, as it is known that children before working ‘must obtain written permission from their parents and a work agreement is made with their parents’, while the regulation does not explain the involvement of parents in dispute resolution. Thus it is necessary to make changes to Article 43 paragraph (1) PBESI Regulation No. 034/PB-ESI/B/VI / 2021 on the implementation of E-sports activities in Indonesia.

Abstract

The challenges of entering the era of Society 5.0 require people to face more complex challenges. These changes have both positive and negative impacts. In connection with the progress of Society 5.0, educational institutions have new challenges, namely not only making their students academically ready but also printing them with character.  The development of the world of communication today requires people to face various complex challenges. The era of society 5.0 has an impact on all human life, both positive and negative. In this context, educational institutions are expected to be pivotal in addressing the challenges. This can be achieved by equipping students with a comprehensive understanding of religious studies. This research is included in library research using the content analysis method. This research used the following procedures: Preparing tools, preparing the work bibliography, timing, analysis, and compiling research notes. The data in the study were obtained from literature in accordance with the research topic. The new concept emerges, intact and up-to-date, from the collected and processed data. This includes gathering references manually and digitally. This research indicates that educators must prepare themselves to face the challenges of the Society 5.0 era. This preparation should entail two key areas of focus, namely character education, which at least includes five characters: religious, independent, nationalist, integrity, and cooperation, and links learning with critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This paper investigates the mechanical properties of eco-friendly concrete incorporating recycled aggregates and industrial by-products. An experimental program was conducted to assess the compressive strength, tensile strength, and durability of various concrete mixes. The results reveal that the use of recycled materials can produce concrete with comparable mechanical properties to conventional concrete. This study highlights the potential of eco-friendly concrete in reducing environmental impacts while maintaining structural integrity.

Abstract

Limbah organik yang membusuk dapat menjadi tempat berkembang biaknya vektor penyakit, sehingga berisiko meningkatkan angka kejadian penyakit menular. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi mengenai pengelolaan limbah organik dalam upaya mencegah penyakit berbasis lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah ceramah dan tanya jawab. Pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan pada 14 November 2024 dan diikuti oleh 33 peserta dari SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo. Kegiatan berlangsung sesuai dengan waktu yang direncanakan, dengan pemaparan materi mengenai pengelolaan limbah organik. Program edukasi yang disampaikan mencakup jenis-jenis limbah organik, dampaknya terhadap kesehatan, serta cara-cara pengelolaannya. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta, yang ditunjukkan oleh hasil post-test yang meningkat dari 59,09% menjadi 73,93%. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo telah berjalan sesuai dengan tujuan dan harapan serta memberikan dampak positif bagi peserta dalam meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai manfaat pengelolaan. Kata kunci: edukasi; limbah organik; lingkungan; siswa Decaying organic waste can serve as a breeding ground for disease vectors, thereby increasing the incidence of infectious diseases. This community service activity aims to provide education on organic waste management as an effort to prevent environmentally-based diseases. The method used in this activity is lectures and question-and-answer sessions. The community service was conducted on November 14, 2024, and was attended by 33 participants from SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo. The activity proceeded as scheduled, featuring the presentation of materials on organic waste management. The educational program covered the types of organic waste, its impact on health, and management methods. Based on the evaluation results, there was an increase in participants' knowledge, as indicated by the post-test scores, which improved from 59.09% to 73.93%. Thus, the community service activity conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo was successfully carried out according to its objectives and expectations, providing a positive impact on participants by enhancing their understanding of the benefits of organic waste management in preventing environmentally-based diseases. Abstract

In the healthcare industry, professionals develop big amounts of disorganized data. The complexity of this data and the loss of computational capability lead to delays in the investigation. Nevertheless, with the advent of Deep Learning algorithms and connection to computing power such as Graphic Processor Units (GPUs) and Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), text and image processing has become usable. Deep Learning (DL) data bring about a big outcome in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and computer perception. The main purpose of this study is to build an undivided approach that can relate social platforms, literature, and scientific records to develop an approach to medicinal education for the public and experts. This study focuses on NLP in the healthcare industry and compiles data by Electronic Medical Records (EMR), medical literature, and social platforms. The framework proposed in this study is one for connecting social platforms, medical literature, and Electronic Medical Records scientific records using Deep Learning algorithms. Linking data sources requires defining the relationships between them, and finding concepts in medical texts. The National Library of Medicine (NLM) introduced the Unified Medical Language System (UMLS) and uses this system as the basis for the proposed system. The dynamic nature of a social platform can be recognized and supervised methodologies can be applied under supervision to develop conception. Named entity Recognition (NER) enables the active eradication of data or individuals by the pharmaceutical literature.
