Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the process of development and feasibility of the learning media of Powtoon and analyze student's understanding after using media in the learning. This research is research and development, the models of construction adopted by Borg and Gall. The product is tested for eligibility through validation testing by the content and media experts. The subject of this study was a student of class IV SDN 3 Attack as much as 20 students. Based on the analysis of the data acquired that a learning-based media of Powtoon is declared feasible by the media experts with an average percentage score of 88% and content expert with a percentage of 80%. the response of students with a rate of 98% the which included "excellent," as well as  test of student's understanding, gained an average of scores of 89.25, which belongs to the category of "excellent." From the study, it can to be concluded that learning deserves media of powtoon use in the learning process on the property of light topic.

Abstract

Development of Mathematical Worksheets Based on Scientific Approaches for Elementary School Students. This study aims to develop supporting teaching materials, namely student worksheets in class IV mathematics subjects, especially about the perimeter and area of square, rectangular and triangle. The type of this research is using Research and Development (RnD) that using the 4D model (Four D Model) (define, design, develop, and disseminet). The subjects of this study were 1 teacher and 25 fourth grade students at SDN Serang 02. Data in this study were collected by tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis carried out is qualitative and quantitative. The results of the study obtained an average value of expert validation with an average score of 86.5% and included a very feasible category, the average value of teacher responses to worksheets was 86.2% with a very good category and the average response value of students was 86, 1% with a very good category and an average comprehension test score of 81.4 with a very good understanding category. Based on these data it can be concluded that the mathematical worksheet oriented scientific approach can be used in learning because it is considered feasible to be used as supporting teaching material in mathematics learning and is able to facilitate students' understanding of the material " perimeter and area of square, rectangular and triangle "

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between self-concept and mathematics anxiety towards the freshmen learning results. The method used is the correlation method which was aimed to see how strong and how much influence of self-concept and mathematics anxiety with students’ learning results. The population in this study were all students of mathematics education academic year 2013/2014, the study sample was taken by purposive sampling technique as many as 88 students who took the Calculus I course. The instrument used in this research is scale mathematical self-concept and mathematics anxiety scale. The results showed that there is a positive relationship between self-concept and anxiety towards math-ematics learning outcomes of students. Research showed that there was a positive and sig-nificant relationship between self-concept and anxiety mathematical mathematics with stu-dent results.Keywords : Self Concept, Anxiety Mathematics Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Pengembangan kelas virtual matematika untuk siswa kelas VIII dilatarbelakangi oleh belum adanya inovasi media pembelajaran online yang bersifat fleksibel dan dapat membantu siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu: (1) mengetahui kelayakan kelas virtual sebagai media pembelajaran matematika pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar, dan (2) mengetahui peningkatan kecakapan komunikasi matematis siswa setelah menggunakan kelas virtual pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ciruas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan mengadaptasi model pengembangan ADDIE yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa: (1) secara umum kelas virtual yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan sebagai pendukung pembelajaran dengan hasil uji ahli media dan ahli materi memperoleh kriteria cukup valid, uji praktisi pendidikan memperoleh kriteria sangat praktis, serta uji coba terbatas memperoleh kriteria sangat praktis, dan (2) peningkatan kecakapan komunikasi matematis siswa setelah menggunakan kelas virtual pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar sangat baik karena memperoleh nilai gain ternormalisasi dengan kriteria tinggi. Kesulitan yang ada dalam penelitian pengembangan ini antara lain durasi yang cukup lama untuk menyelesaikan tahap development, dan pengoperasian kelas virtual memelurkan jaringan internet yang kuat. Solusi untuk mengatasi kesulitan tersebut dapat dengan mengoptimalkan kemahiran teknologi dan menyiapkan jaringan internet yang kuat. Kata kunci: pengembangan, kelayakan, kelas virtual, komunikasi matematis, matematika

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of mathematical literacy skills of junior high school students in solving PISA model questions. This study aims to describe the percentage at low, medium and high levels of students' ability in solving PISA questions. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative with the research subjects are 15 year old junior high school students. The data collection technique used is the method of observation, tests, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data in this study used a triangulation technique by comparing the data from tests, interviews and documentation to obtain the same data. The data analysis technique was carried out with data reduction steps, data presentation, verification and drawing conclusions. The result of knowledge is that students' ability to solve PISA type math problems with space and shape content is different. Most students are able to solve level 3 and 4 questions, while only a few students can solve level 5 questions. After the interview process, students did not understand what the question meant, students did not understand what was being asked.  Keywords:  student ability, PISA type math problems, PISA

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of statistical reasoning ability of students who take the course of industry-based statistics eksperiential learning. This study is a quasi-experimental study, in which there are two classes. One class as an experimental class that accepts experiential learning learning and a control class as a comparative class. The population of this study is industrial engineering students, with samples of industrial engineering students who contract industrial statistics courses. By using lecture syntax consisting of stages of concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization and active experimentation. At the beginning and end of the study students are given a statistical skills reasoning test. The data obtained were analyzed quantitatively. The result of the study that the class that received experimental learning learning is good for the students of statistics. Keywords: Statistical Reasoning, Experiential Learning

Abstract

Pre-service teachers need to have mastery of mathematics teaching aids. Meeting intensity in order to master mathematics teaching aids is certainly needed. Obstacles in the form of limited time for learning mathematics teaching aids need to be minimized. One of the benefits of technological advancement is QR Code. Information about a mathematics teaching aid and how to use it quickly will be obtained by integrating mathematics teaching aids with a QR Code so that pre-service teachers can easily learn these mathematics teaching aids. The product developed in this study is a mathematics teaching aid that is integrated with a QR Code. The development model that will be used in this research is the 4D model, which includes: (1) Define, the developer analyzes problems and potentials; (2) Design, the developer makes an initial product (prototype) or a product design tailored to existing needs and potentials; (3) Development, divided into two activities, namely: expert appraisal and developmental testing; (4) Disseminate, at this stage the activity carried out is validation testing. The results of the validator's assessment indicate that the QR Code integrated mathematics teaching aid produced in this study falls into the strong category. The developmental testing and disseminate stages for integrated mathematics teaching aids QR Code cannot be done because they are constrained by the Covid-19 pandemic that occurred at the time of this research.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan belum adanya bahan ajar untuk peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis bagi mahasiswa calon guru matematika sekolah menengah. Mengingat kemampuan penalaran tersebut sangat diperlukan untuk menarik kesimpulan atas permasalahan matematis, maka dirancanglah bahan ajar yang dapat mengembangkan kemampuan  bernalar mahasiswa. Produk dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan bahan ajar dalam bentuk lembar kerja mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah menggunakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model 4D, yaitu meliputi: (1) Define, pada tahapan ini pengembang melakukan analisis masalah dan potensi; (2) Design, pada tahap ini pengembang membuat produk awal (prototype) atau rancangan produk yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan potensi yang ada; (3) Development, pada tahap ini kegiatan yang dilakukan dibagi kedalam dua kegiatan yaitu: expert appraisal dan developmental testing; (4) Disseminate, pada tahap ini kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah validation testing. Adapun hasil dari uji coba ahli menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan termasuk kedalam kategori baik dan layak (80%) digunakan untuk sumber pendukung perkuliahan. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Penalaran, Bahan Ajar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hipotesis lintasan belajar siswa berdasarkan pada lintasan belajar yang dialami siswa sebenarnya. Selain itu juga menganlisis dan mendeskripsikan aktivitas siswa dalam setiap tahapan pembelajaran yang dilakukan melalui pendekatan realistik matematika. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut maka penelitian ini menggunakan tahapan yang mencakup persiapan penelitian, eksperimen pembelajaran dan analisis data yang diperoleh dari tahap retrospective analysis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis Hypotetical Learning Trajectory didapatkan beberapa aktivitas yang sesuai dengan lintasan belajar siswa pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar yaitu kubus dan balok dengan aktivitas labeling product dan menjiplak rusuk. Pada aktivitas labeling product, dimana sekelompok siswa tersebut diperintahkan mengukur luas kubus dan balok, kemudian mereka menempelkan sisi kubus pada kertas HVS dan menggaris pinggiran tiap sisi tanpa putus-putus, serta mengguntingnya dengan rapi kemudian dari kegiatan ini siswa dapat mengetahui bentuk setiap sisi dan juga jumlah sisi dari bangun ruang kubus dan balok. Sedangkan pada aktivitas menjiplak rusuk guru memerintahkan siswa untuk menjiplak kubus dan balok secara tidak putus-putus garis sisinya satu sama lain, dan siswa secara langsung menghitung jumlah rusuk yang ada pada jiplakan gambar tersebut dan mnginformasikan posisi rusuk pada kubus dan balok. Dari kegiatan ini siswa akan mengetahui posisi rusuk dan jumlah rusuk pada kubus dan balok dengan perhitungan yang benar. Kata kunci: Lintasan Belajar, Retrospective Analysis, Realistik Matematika

Abstract

This research aims to develop content of learning management system (LMS) chamilo based smartphone and computer as a media for learning mathematics and to know effectivity of learning management system (LMS) development in enhances self regulated learning of the students. This research is a research and development (R&D) with ADDIE development models. The steps that have been taken in this research are analysising of school’s condition and finding the potential and problems of learning media, designing learning media in appropiate to the result of analysis, developing the result of design that have been made, implementation of learning media to the masters, they are master of learning media and master of mathematics education, and evaluation of learning media that be feasible according to the masters to students. To see the feasibility of learning media, its did validation first product of learning media. In the implementation step, its did validation that had been made, and there is quality level of learning media based on assessment of learning media : 1) Master of Learning Media obtained a percentage of 84% with a very good category, 2) Master of Mathematics Education obtained a percentage of 91% with a very good category. Effectivity of learning media based on evaluation of learning media by the students, the result are Student’s responses of learning media obtained a percentage of 80,03% with a very good category. Beside it, too see self regulated learning of the students has increase from 54,26%to 72,56%. Therefore, learning media that proved is effective used in learning mathematics to enhance self regulated learning of the students.Keywords: Self Regulated, LMS Chamilo.
