Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh sebagian besar peserta didik kemampuan numeriknya rendah, maka efeknya tingkat kemampuan penyelesaian soal Fisika juga rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu (1) menganalisis kemampuan numerik siswa kelas XI MIA1 MAN 2 Aceh Barat, (2) menganalisis kemampuan penyelesaian soal-soal Fisika siswa pada materi Getaran Harmonis, serta (3) menganalisis hubungan kemampuan numerik dengan kemampuan penyelesaian soal-soal Fisika pada materi Getaran Harmonis. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian korelasional bersifat ex post facto, dengan menggunakan desain studi hubungan dan sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas XI MIA1 MAN 2 Aceh Barat dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu simple random samping. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu soal Tes Numerik dan soal Tes Fisika materi Getaran Harmonis. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan metode tes yaitu Tes Kemampuan Numerik dan Tes Kemampuan Penyelesaian Soal Fisika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Sebagian besar kemampuan numerik siswa termasuk kategori sangat kurang (rentang nilai 0-49), sedangkan kemampuan penyelesaian soal termasuk kategori sangat rendah (rentang nilai 0-54), dan diperoleh koefisien korelasi dengan nilai rhitung = 0,958 dan rtabel = 0,3515, sehingga nilai rhitung rtabel artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kemampuan numerik dengan kemampuan penyelesaian soal Fisika pada konsep Getaran Harmonis kelas XI MIA1 MAN 2 Aceh Barat.

Abstract

This research explores the implementation of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach assisted by papan takalintar media to enhance mathematics learning outcomes among fourth-grade students at MIN 8 Southwest Aceh. The study was motivated by students' difficulties in performing multiplication calculations, especially with large-digit numbers, and their lack of accuracy in solving problems. The research aimed to analyze teacher activities, student engagement, and student learning outcomes following the application of this approach. Using a Classroom Action Research (PTK) methodology, the study involved 31 students from class IVA. Data collection techniques included observations and tests, with results analyzed using percentage techniques. The findings showed a significant improvement in teacher activity, which increased from 57.64% in cycle I to 94.11% in cycle III. Similarly, student activity rose from 58.82% in cycle I to 91.76% in cycle III. Student learning outcomes also showed a steady increase, from 48.38% in cycle I to 83.87% in cycle III, meeting the criteria for classical completeness. These results suggest that the integration of the RME approach with papan takalintar media is an effective strategy for improving students' mathematical understanding and accuracy in multiplication operations. This study highlights the potential of contextual learning tools in enhancing student engagement and performance in mathematics education.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kanker paru dikenal sebagai salah satu penyebab utama kematian dengan prognosis yang buruk dibandingkan kanker lainnya serta memberikan dampak buruk terhadap health-related quality of life pasien. Maka dari itu dibutuhkan suatu sikap yang positif untuk meningkatkan health-related quality of life, salah satu usaha yang bisa ditempuh melaui self-compassion. Menumbuhkan self-compassion bisa menjadi salah satu jalan yang baik untuk memperoleh kehidupan yang lebih positif dan membahagiakan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-compassion dengan health-related quality of life pada pasien kanker paru yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasi. Sebanyak 85 penderita kanker paru di Aceh dipilih menggunakan teknik convenience sampling dan berpartisipasi dalam pengisian instrumen European Organization for Research and Treatment Quality of Life Questionnaire C30 (EORTC QLQ-C30) dan Skala Welas Diri (SWD). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (p) = 0.013, (r) = 0.269, yang dapat diartikan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara self-compassion dengan health-related quality of life pada penderita kanker paru, dengan tingkat hubungan yang rendah. Di sisi lain, hasil temuan juga menemukan bahwa pasien kanker paru dalam kajian penelitian ini dominan berada pada tingkat sedang untuk Self-Compassion dan juga Health-Related Quality of Life. Abstract

The stable and efficient management of water distribution remains a critical challenge in water storage systems, especially in applications requiring precise flow control. This study aims to design and implement a water flow control system based on the Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) algorithm to maintain stable flow rates and water levels in a storage tank. The system employs an HC-SRF04 ultrasonic sensor to monitor water level with an accuracy of 99.77%, and a YF-S201 flow sensor to measure water flow rate with an exceptional accuracy of 99.997%. All components are integrated and controlled by an Arduino Uno microcontroller, the system’s core processing unit. Flow rate regulation is achieved using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to control the water pump, driven by the PID algorithm with a target flow rate (setpoint) of 4 liters per minute (LPM). The optimal PID parameters are obtained using the Ziegler-Nichols tuning method, yielding the constants ????ₚ = 12.96, ????ᵢ = 1.102 seconds, and ???????? = 0.2755 seconds. Experimental results show that the system achieves a rise time of 0.296 seconds, an initial overshoot of 2.5%, and a settling time of 10 seconds. This system demonstrates strong potential to support water management efficiency and automation across industrial, agricultural, and household applications, offering fast and stable control responses to maintain flow rate setpoints under dynamic conditions.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of open-ended and guided inquiry-based learning modules in enhancing Science Process Skills (SPS) among pre-service science teachers in Indonesia. The study responds to the limited research on SPS development under the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. A quasi-experimental non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design was employed involving 204 pre-service teachers enrolled in Environmental Education courses, distributed across open-ended inquiry, guided inquiry, and conventional learning groups. Data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA and factorial MANOVA (3×2), considering gender and study program (Biology and Physics) as moderating variables. The results reveal statistically significant improvements in SPS for both inquiry-based groups compared to the conventional group (p < 0.001). Gender-based differences were also observed: female participants outperformed males in the guided inquiry group, while males performed better in the open-ended group. In addition, no significant differences were found between study programs. The findings underscore the potential of inquiry-based learning modules to foster key scientific competencies and suggest that gender-responsive strategies may further optimize SPS outcomes. This study contributes to international discussions on competency-based science teacher education and offers practical insights for curriculum design in national and global contexts.

Abstract

Learning physics in senior high school is often a challenge because the material requires theoretical and mathematical understanding, especially if the learning method does not pay attention to the learning style of students. This study aims to analyze articles related to physics learning outcomes based on the learning styles of high school students using a meta-analysis approach. This research is a meta-analysis of previous research published in the 2015-2024 timeframe. This research provides guidance for teachers in designing effective learning strategies according to the needs of students. The results showed that visual learning style is the most dominant in supporting physics concept understanding, followed by auditory style, and finally kinesthetic style. However, other factors such as motivation and teaching methods also affect learning outcomes. The conclusion of this study states that learning style is not the only factor that affects physics learning outcomes. A multimodel learning approach is important to improve learning outcomes effectively and inclusively.

Abstract

Latar belakang masalah penelitian ini yaitu kurangnya kemampuan siswa untuk bekerjasama dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini terjadi disebabkan karena guru cenderung menggunakan metode diskusi dalam pembelajaran sosiologi, namun proses pembelajaran dengan cara kerja kelompok pada metode diskusi tidak berjalan semestinya, dimana siswa harusnya memiliki sifat kerjasama dengan temannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan model role playing untuk meningkatkan kerjasama siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan model dua siklus oleh Kemmis dan McTaggart. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi observasi dan dokumentasi dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa lembar observasi. Teori yang mendasari penelitian ini adalah teori belajar humanistik oleh Carl R. Rogers. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I dan siklus II mengalami peningkatan kerjasama siswa dengan penerapan model role playing yaitu pada siklus I pertemuan pertama persentase peningkatan kerjasama memperoleh 32,64 % pada pertemuan pertama, 42,11 % di pertemuan kedua. Pada siklus II memperoleh 65 % pada pertemuan pertama, 76,70 % pada pertemuan kedua. Maka dari itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya penerapan model role playing dapat meningkatkan kerjasama siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Meureudu pada materi bangun ruang melalui penerapan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Adapun subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 17 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan berpikir kritis, observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, serta wawancara terhadap respon siswa. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II, di mana ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 58,82% menjadi 88,24%. Aktivitas guru dan siswa juga mengalami peningkatan signifikan dari kategori cukup menjadi baik. Respon siswa terhadap penerapan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education positif, dengan pembelajaran yang lebih menyenangkan dan mudah dipahami. Kesimpulannya, pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education sebagai suatu pendekatan pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi bangun ruang di SD Negeri 1 Meureudu.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of varying facial image dataset sizes on the accuracy of facial recognition using the Haar Cascade Classifier method. The dataset sizes examined were 150, 100, and 50 facial images, all captured under consistent conditions using a Raspberry Pi Camera v1.3. The dataset collection, image training, and facial recognition processes were conducted on a Raspberry Pi 4 Single Board Computer (SBC). The study controlled for lighting conditions to ensure they did not affect the results. The facial images were trained using the Local Binary Pattern Histogram (LBPH) recognizer and the Haar Cascade Classifier detector. Recognition tests were conducted at distances of 25cm, 50cm, 75cm, 100cm, 125cm, and 150cm from the camera. The study found that the highest recognition accuracy of 98% was achieved with a 150-image dataset at a distance of 75cm. In contrast, the accuracy dropped to 0% at 125cm and 150cm distances across all dataset sizes. The findings suggest that increasing the number of facial images in the dataset improves the accuracy of facial recognition. Further research is recommended to explore the effectiveness of the Haar Cascade Classifier method in facial recognition systems.

Abstract

Solar energy is an alternative energy that is abundant, renewable, and does not produce greenhouse gas emissions, so it has the potential to be developed into energy to replace fossil energy as a source of electricity generation. The main technology in the utilization of solar energy is solar panels, solar panels consist of solar cells made of semiconductor materials, such as silicon. These solar cells convert photon energy from sunlight into electrical energy through the photovoltaic effect. Changes in the temperature of solar cells are affected by the ambient temperature, clouds, and wind speed where the solar panel is placed. Very high air temperatures can affect the performance of solar panels where the optimal temperature of solar panels is 25°C, any increase in ambient temperature can reduce the output power and also the output voltage on solar panels. This research focuses on analyzing a solar panel cooling system that combines the use of solid salt hydrate and heatsinks. Solid salt hydrate has the ability to absorb heat as it melts, making it an effective cooling material. Meanwhile, the heatsink plays a role in enhancing heat transfer from the solar panel to the surrounding environment. The combination of solid salt hydrate and heatsink is expected to provide a solar panel cooling solution that is not only effective and efficient, but also environmentally friendly. By using these two components, this research is expected to contribute to the development of more efficient and sustainable solar panel technology. In addition, the results of this research also aim to provide optimal solar panel cooling system design recommendations for various environmental conditions, so as to improve the performance and longevity of solar panels002E
