Abstract

Ceiba pentandra (Kapok) is a tropical plant belonging to the Malvales that contain palm oil. Naturally, Pure Plant Oil (PPO) can be used as a renewable energy source that is a promising energy alternative instead of fossil. Somehow, one of the effects of the quality of Pure Plant Oil (PPO) is the presence of unsaturated bonds and the presence of oxygen. The most appropriate method to overcome these problems is hydrodeoxygenation using a batch system autoclave reactor. In the present work, we synthesized of Green Diesel using hydrodeoxygenation and NiMo/-Al2O3 catalyst to saturate double bonds and remove oxygen. The yield of pure plant oil was 42.77-74.72% while the yield of green diesel at pressure conditions of 30 and 50 bar and at temperatures of 300, 350 and 400C produced 76.73 94.06%. Then, the best condition for the hydrodeoxygenation reaction for the biggest yield is at a pressure of 50 bar at 350C. The results of the characterization of gas products using GC-TCD showed the composition of gases H2, O2, CO, CH4, and CO2. Whereas for green diesel liquid products, pure plant oil, and kapok seed oil were analyzed using GC-MS obtained hydrocarbon compounds with interval C10-C20. Quality analysis of kapok seed oil, pure plant oil, and green diesel has been in accordance with quality standards except for FFA and viscosity.

Abstract

Abstract Alzheimer's contamination is a neurodegenerative sickness brought about by a decline in the blend of acetylcholine because of the breakdown of acetylcholine into choline and the determination of acidic corrosive by the compound Acetylcholinesterase (Hurt). Compounds known to have heartbeat restraining developments are promising medications for the treatment of these contaminations. In this investigation, in-silico studies were done on the blend found in Miana (Coleus) further to see whether this combination could be utilized as a remedial application in the treatment of Alzheimer's illness utilizing sub-nuclear docking procedures. From the consequences of the examination, it is realized that the Pyrazolopyridine compound is the best medication contender with a limiting energy and stable limitation benefit of - 6.96 kcal/mol and 7.95 µm separately, with hydrogen securities happening in the destructive development of amino SER 293. Abstract

Abstract

Urinary tract infection (UTI) is one of the most common types of infection caused by the growth of microorganisms in the human urinary tract. Nitrite can be detected using spectroscopy, electrochemistry, chemiluminescence, chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, and flow injection analysis methods. However, this method takes quite a long time. So, this method is not suitable for rapid screening because it requires time for bacterial incubation and adequate sample preparation. So, there is a need for a fast-screening method that can diagnose UTIs through a nitrite colorimetric sensor. The colorimetric method is based on nanoparticles, which are relatively cheap and can provide visual and rapid detection. Nitrite is an indicator in diagnosing UTI. This research aims to determine the synthesis of Ag nanoparticles using avocado leaf bio-reductors (Persea americana Mill.) and chitosan as a stabilizer, which can be used as a colorimetric nitrite detector to minimize the use of dangerous and environmentally unfriendly inorganic materials. Characterization and analysis in this research used a UV-Vis spectrophotometer, FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infra-Red), and PSA (Particle Size Analyzer). The Ag nanoparticle synthesis process was carried out by varying the bioreductant volume, synthesis time, and chitosan concentration. It was found that the optimum synthesis time was 4 hours with an SPR value of 428 nm, an absorbance of 2.112 and a nanoparticle size. Apart from that, the optimum concentration of chitosan was obtained at a concentration of 2.5% with an SPR of 435 nm and an absorbance of 1.341 with a nanoparticle size. The results obtained from AgNPs/chitosan as a colorimetric nitrite detector showed a color change to purple with an LOD value of 0.1303 µM and an LOQ of 0.4345 µM. Abstract

The incorporation of mangrove leaf powder into food systems offers an emerging strategy for enhancing the functional value of confectionery products. This study evaluated the effects of Sonneratia alba (S. alba) mangrove-leaf powder on the physicochemical properties, antioxidant capacity, and sensory quality of dark chocolate. Leaves were processed into fine 60-mesh powder and added at concentrations of 0–5.5% (w/w). The analytical assessments included moisture content, total phenolic content (TPC), antioxidant activity using the DPPH method, CIELAB colour parameters, texture hardness, and consumer acceptance. The product underwent enrichment with S. alba produced significant (p < 0.05) increases in TPC (49.06–64.37 mg GAE/g) and antioxidant activity (60.45–69.45%). A strong linear relationship between TPC and DPPH inhibition (R² = 0.934) indicated that phenolics contributed directly to enhanced radical-scavenging performance. Colour measurements showed elevated a* and b* values with increasing leaf concentration, reflecting intensified red–yellow chromaticity from plant pigments. Meanwhile, hardness decreased from 135.33 to 98.95 g/F, suggesting that fibre components disrupted fat crystallisation and softened the chocolate matrix. Sensory evaluation demonstrated that intermediate enrichment levels (4.5%–5.5%) provided the most favourable consumer responses, yielding the highest scores for flavour, texture, and overall acceptance. Collectively, these results indicate that powder from S. alba leaves serves as an effective natural fortifying agent capable of improving the functional profile of dark chocolate without compromising sensory desirability. The findings highlight opportunities to use mangrove biomass as a sustainable, phenolic-rich ingredient for developing clean-label, functional chocolate products.
