Abstract

This study aims to 1) determine the feasibility of smart apps creator-based learning media used in learning activities, and 2) determine the effectiveness of Smart Apps Creator-based learning media to improve Critical Thinking and Problem Solving skills in Global Warming Materials for Class X Students of SMAN 4 Berau. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study which refers to the ADDIE model. This research was conducted on 30 students in limited trials and field trials using class X1 and X3 students each of 32 students. The results of the study are that the learning media developed meet the eligibility based on expert judgment and effective learning media in improving critical thinking skills and problem solving abilities. The results of the Manova test show a sig value of 0.000 <0.05, namely Ha is accepted so that there are differences in critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities between students who use Smart Apps Creator learning media and PowerPoint learning media. The N-gain test of learning media on critical thinking skills gets a score of 68.82 which means it is quite effective and for problem solving skills it gets a score of 91.64 which means it is effective.

Abstract

Internet becomes more popular over time. Everything can be connected with the internet with larger coverage area which makes everyone have a higher dependence on it. Along with that, internet-based technology development and application is also moving to its best pattern. In the development, there are a lot of devices that can be used for Internet-of-Things system development. However, Internet-of-Things system has the following security vulnerabilities especially for access control and data protection. For the data privacy protection, it becomes more critical especially when using a standard TCP/IP based application layer protocol to secure the data before its transmitted from the client to the server. This work will be focused on the data privacy security development using a cryptographic scheme for Internet-of-Things system. Attribute Based Encryption (ABE) is one of cryptographic scheme that can be one of the best choices for data protection implementation in embedded device using NVIDA Jetson Nano. It will demonstrate the design of Key-Policy Attribute Based Encryption (KP-ABE) scheme to generate a symmetric key that will be used for Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) while encryption and decryption process. The result shows the execution time of key generation, data encryption and decryption using unique number of attributes.

Abstract

Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa peningkatan sifat mekanik material sprocket imitasi setelah dilakukan proses carburizing dan membandingkannya dengan sprocket original tanpa perlakuan. Adapun variabel bebas yang digunakan sprocket genuine part, dan sprocket imitasi yang sudah mengalami perlakuan panas, media pendingin (air, oli bekas, silikon oil, dan udara), dengan variasi temperatur (850 dan 900 °C) dengan penahanan waktu 1 jam dengan media karbonisasi arang kayu gelam dan serbuk cangkang remis sebagai katalis. Pengujian yang dilakukan  adalah pengujian komposisi kimia dan kekerasan dengan metode Rockwell hardness tester B. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah peningkatan nilai kekerasan optimum pada sprocket imitasi dengan proses carburizing pada temperatur 900 °C dengan penahanan waktu 1 jam dengan media pendingin air, kekerasannya meningkat sebesar 43.07% dibanding dengan sprocket imitasi tanpa proses carburizing, dan lebih tinggi 13,94% diatas nilai kekerasan sprocket original. Dan pada pengujian komposisi kimia, sprocket imitasi dengan proses carburizing kadar karbonnya meningkat dari 0,159% menjadi 0,29%C, dimana karbon berfungsi sebagai unsur pengeras dalam struktur baja.

Abstract

This study explores subjective well-being's influence on employee performance at PT X, a company in the building chemical industry sector in Jakarta. This research is based on the importance of employee well-being in achieving optimal performance and how subjective well-being can be a determining factor, as supported by several studies that show a positive influence between subjective well-being and performance. Initial observations showed high employee performance results, with most employees able to complete work quickly and precisely, as well as a work atmosphere full of happiness and positive emotions based on the results of an initial survey of 30 employees. This study used a quantitative approach with data collected through an online questionnaire distributed to 165 employees of PT X. The instruments used included the Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) and Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE) to measure subjective well-being, as well as the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ) to measure employee performance. Using a simple regression test, the analysis results obtained an R square value of 9.7% and a significance level of p < 0.05, indicating that subjective well-being significantly affects the employee performance of PT X in Jakarta.

Abstract

PT X is one of the companies engaged in Fast Moving Customer Goods (FMCG) in Indonesia, located in Jakarta. The achievement of PT X certainly must maintain the role of qualified employees so that the company can increase its productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness to excel in competition in the era of globalization. The intense competition in the FMCG industry encourages PT X's Foods unit employees to withstand pressure and rise from failure to continue to grow. To encourage employee performance, PT X applies several values to support the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving targets, one of which is a growth mindset. Some previous research results show ambiguity in the relationship between a growth mindset and employee resilience. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of a growth mindset on employee resilience in the PT X Foods unit. Research data were obtained through the distribution of Google Forms to 87 employees who met the criteria for research characteristics. The results of this study's data analysis indicate an effect of a growth mindset on employee resilience in the Foods unit of PT X with a Sig value. 0,000 < 0,05. In addition, the coefficient of determination shows that the effect of growth mindset on employee resilience is 15%, while other variables influence the remaining 85%.

Abstract

PT X is one of the largest companies in Indonesia engaged in manufacturing and is located in Tangerang. The development of PT X does not escape the role of its human resources in being able to continue to compete with other similar companies. For this reason, human resources are an asset for the Company and play an important role because they will affect the development and productivity of the organization. At PT X, some employees show that they enjoy their work, and some of them feel very proud and attached, but others look less excited when working. Work engagement is one of the things that influence it. Work engagement is defined as the extent to which employees psychologically feel bound and connected to their work. Work engagement is characterized by vigor, dedication, and absorption. This study uses quantitative methods to look at work engagement in employees at PT X. Participant data was obtained through the Utrecht Work Engagement Scales questionnaire consisting of 17 items (UWES-17). Participants in this study amounted to 106 employees at PT X aged 21-55 years. The results showed that PT X employees were classified as high (M = 4.83) and had high scores in each dimension, with the highest scores in the dimensions of dedication (M = 5.21), vigor (M = 4.84), and absorption (M = 4.43). These results show that some PT X employees have high work engagement. Thus, it can have a positive impact on the success of the Company.

Abstract

One important factor determining this quality is the dilution process, which aims to maintain sperm motility and viability during the freezing process. Low storage temperatures can causecold shock, namely damage to the plasma membrane of cells which can cause the death of spermatozoa.This study aims to evaluateThe effect of adding L-Arginine on total motile spermatozoa (TSM)in frozen Boer goat semen. The fresh semen used had a minimum individual motility of 80% and a mass motility of ++. The diluent used was Tris-aminomethane egg yolk, with varying concentrations of L-Arginine.Fresh semen is evaluated macroscopically based oncolor, odor, volume, consistency, and pH, then continued with observation of total motile spermatozoa after the freezing process to assess the effect of adding L-Arginine.This research usesCompletely Randomized Design (RAL)with 4 treatments and 10 replications, namely:P0: 0 mM L-Arginine (control), P1: 5 mM L-Arginine, P2: 6 mM L-Arginine P3: 7 mM L-Arginine. The results of this study: The average percentage of Total Motile Spermatozoa (TSM) after freezing is:P2 (6 mM): 28,25 ± 2,38%, P0 (0mM): 25,00 ± 2,38%, P3 (7 mM): 24,15 ± 2,38%, P1 (5 mM): 23,20 ± 2,62%. Addition L-Arginine 6 mM (P2) provided the best results in increasing the total percentage of motile spermatozoa after freezing. Thus, a concentration of 6 mM L-Arginine can be recommended as the optimal.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The nutritional content of feed ingredients is one of the factors considered in formulating livestock rations. Generally, the determination of nutritional content uses conventional methods, but these methods are destructive, expensive, and time-consuming, making them unsuitable for measuring nutritional content during ration formulation. This study aims to determine the accuracy of crude protein and crude fat content in rice bran using Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) based on NIRS absorbance data. This study used 60 rice bran samples from various regions representing West Sumatra. NIR spectral data were obtained using a Portable Fourier Transform Near Infrared (FT-NIR) device with a wavelength of 1000 nm-2500 nm. The results of the estimated nutritional content of rice bran were analyzed using an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) with 3, 5, 7, and 9 hidden nodes and 25,000, 30,000, 35,000, 40,000, and 50,000 iterations. The NIR absorbance data was pretreated by normalizing it using Unscrambler software and treating it using the PCA (Principal Component Analysis) method in IBM SPSS Statistics 21. The best estimation results can be seen in the lowest Standard Error of Prediction (SEP) and Coefficient of Variation (CV) values. The results showed that the use of JST with the developed model could estimate the crude protein and crude fat content of rice bran well and closely approximated the actual values. The crude protein estimation results have low SEP and CV values, namely SEP 1.26% and CV 14.91%, while the crude fat estimation results have SEP 1.21% and CV 15.12%.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi Artificial intelligence (AI) atau kecerdasan buatan telah menghadirkan peluang baru dalam transformasi sistem pendidikan, termasuk pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Namun, sebagian besar guru masih menghadapi keterbatasan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan memanfaatkan teknologi ini untuk mendukung proses belajar mengajar. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kapasitas guru dalam menerapkan AI sebagai inovasi pembelajaran yang adaptif dan kontekstual. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 3 Meulaboh dengan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif melalui serangkaian kegiatan sosialisasi, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, dan diskusi reflektif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam literasi digital guru, baik pada aspek pemahaman konsep maupun kemampuan mengoperasikan aplikasi berbasis AI seperti ChatGPT, Canva AI, dan Wordwall dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini juga menumbuhkan kesadaran kolektif untuk membangun jejaring belajar antarguru sebagai upaya berkelanjutan dalam penerapan teknologi digital di lingkungan sekolah. Melalui kegiatan ini, universitas berperan aktif dalam menjembatani kesenjangan teknologi di dunia pendidikan dasar serta mendukung terwujudnya ekosistem pembelajaran yang inovatif dan inklusif di era digital.

Abstract

Sebagai salah satu komponen utama dari Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, pengabdian kepada masyarakat berfungsi untuk menghubungkan teori akademis dengan praktik di lapangan. Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (Kukerta) merupakan implementasi konkret dari pengabdian ini, di mana mahasiswa menerapkan ilmu mereka untuk mengatasi masalah sosial dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Salah satu inisiatif yang diusulkan dalam kerangka ini adalah pengembangan camping ground berbasis edu-ekowisata di Dusun Kebuh Tengah Desa Empat Balai, Provinsi Riau. Program ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan potensi alam dan budaya pada desa untuk menciptakan destinasi wisata yang berkelanjutan. Metode perancangan ini mencakup survei lapangan dan wawancara dengan masyarakat setempat untuk menghasilkan desain yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan lokal. Hasil perancangan mencakup master plan, site plan, animasi 3D, dan DED yang memperhatikan aspek fungsional, estetika, serta keberlanjutan, berupa penataan dan desain kawasan zona camping, fasilitas pendukung, dan aktivitas edukatif yang mendukung pemahaman tentang ekosistem lokal. Area camping ground di Dusun Kebuh Tengah dirancang dengan menerapkan konsep "Revitalizing the Riverside" yang kemudian ditransformasikan menjadi "Alam Membentuk Budaya", yang diharapkan dapat memperkuat identitas lokal dan memastikan bahwa kegiatan wisata yang berkembang tidak mengganggu keseimbangan ekosistem alam sekitar.
