Abstract

Guidance and counseling as a science that is rooted in philosophy. Knowledge in guidance and counseling is defined as the study of regular and systematic processes, procedures or steps to assist individuals (clients) in improving themselves, overcoming problems and achieving other specific goals. The process of human science is a process to seek the truth and obtain knowledge. Likewise knowledge in guidance and counseling, can be seen based on the role of science as a scientific activity carried out by the scientific method and then proven systematically.

Abstract

The study of this article focuses on the value produced by education in Indonesia contained in Article 1 Paragraph 1 of Law No. 20/2003 concerning the National Education System, which explains that education is to create a learning atmosphere and learning process, so that students can actively develop their potential to have religious spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and skills with the aim of having value for themselves, society, nation and country. This is realized consciously and planned by the teachers. Education is successful if the values in developing the potential for religious spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and skills can be implemented properly by the teacher and this potential develops in each student.

Abstract

This study examined learning quality control in PKBM equivalency education programs in Padang City and explored the potential of a Learning Management System (LMS) to strengthen it. Evidence from questionnaires and focus group discussions indicated that while planning and instructional delivery were generally adequate, monitoring of learner engagement, systematic documentation, and data-driven quality improvement remained limited. Quantitative results highlighted gaps between instructional implementation and continuous quality assurance, and qualitative insights revealed fragmented digital practices constrained by partial tool use and varying digital literacy. Respondents expressed a high to very high need for an integrated LMS capable of combining learning delivery, assessment, monitoring, and reporting. Based on these findings, a prototype LMS was designed to address identified gaps and support evidence-based decision-making. This study contributes both practical and theoretical insights by demonstrating how LMS features such as learner activity tracking and automated reporting can operationalize learning quality control in nonformal education contexts.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat melalui program KKN ini berfokus pada pengembangan website pemetaan potensi Desa Sungai Rambai, Pariaman. Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan desa terhadap media informasi potensi yang terpusat, mudah diakses, dapat ditelusuri, dan berbasis lokasi, terutama untuk potensi UMKM dan Non-UMKM. Tujuan kegiatan adalah menyediakan platform digital berbasis peta interaktif yang mendukung visualisasi lokasi, filter kategori, pencarian data, halaman detail informasi, serta fitur awal pengelolaan data oleh admin. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan secara partisipatif melalui identifikasi kebutuhan, pengambilan data, pengolahan data, pengembangan sistem, dan pengujian internal. Hasil kegiatan berupa website pemetaan potensi desa berbasis Next.js App Router, Leaflet, Vercel Postgres, dan dashboard admin. Website ini menyediakan akses informasi potensi desa melalui peta interaktif serta fitur awal pengelolaan data potensi desa.

Abstract

Bullying merupakan bentuk kekerasan berbasis sekolah yang masih menjadi permasalahan serius dan berdampak negatif terhadap perkembangan psikologis serta sosial anak. Observasi awal di SDN 07 Sungai Rambai mengidentifikasi perilaku yang mengarah pada perundungan, seperti candaan fisik berlebihan, ejekan terhadap kondisi fisik, dan pelecehan verbal dengan menyebut nama orang tua. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai bullying, bentuk-bentuknya, dampaknya, serta strategi respons yang tepat. Intervensi dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan video-based learning yang dipadukan dengan pemaparan interaktif, kegiatan ice breaking, dan kuis evaluatif. Kegiatan melibatkan siswa sekolah dasar dengan dukungan pihak sekolah. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa mengenai jenis dan dampak bullying, yang tercermin dari respons mereka dalam diskusi dan evaluasi. Selain itu, siswa menjadi lebih aktif dan percaya diri dalam menyampaikan pendapat. Kegiatan ini mendukung upaya preventif untuk menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang lebih aman dan suportif bagi seluruh warga sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the development of research on technology in the context of adult learning over the last ten years. This study used bibliometric analysis to identify research trends, relationships between concepts, and author collaborations. The data is obtained from the Google Scholar database with relevant keywords, and the number of publications is limited to 1,000 journals. The results show fluctuations in the growth of publications about technology in the context of adult learning from 2014 to 2023. Out of 1,000 publications indexed by Google Scholar, only 628 have information on year and publisher, while 308 do not. The peak of publication growth occurred in 2021, with 105 publications (16.7%), while the lowest number of publications was recorded in 2017, with 50 documents (8%). Research shows that the use of technology in adult learning continues to evolve. Nonetheless, there is still a paucity of research on technology and knowledge of andragogical content in adult learning. This provides an opportunity for other researchers to continue to develop this research trend.

Abstract

This paper discusses the analysis and implementation of basic education as a process of cultural inheritance. This research method uses library research or literature study. In collecting data, the author uses literature studies which are research by collecting data from various sources such as books, journals, the internet, and other relevant sources regarding basic education as a process of cultural inheritance. The results of this study are in the form of: 1) the essence of education and culture, 2) education in the process of culture 3) the function of culture in education, 4) education and the process of cultural transformation (inheritance). The conclusion of this study is that education is basically inseparable from culture because it is an important element in human life. Education plays an important role in preserving and developing culture, as well as helping individuals to become human beings with character and culture. And education functions as a means of inheriting cultural values from one generation to the next.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in shaping a quality generation. However, observations conducted by the researcher on July 15, 2024, revealed that students’ learning outcomes in the Integrated Science and Social Studies (IPAS) subject were relatively low. The Recapitulation of Grade V IPAS Scores over the Past Three Years indicates that many students have not met the established Learning Achievement Criteria (KKTP) of 70. This condition suggests that students’ understanding of IPAS material remains suboptimal. This study employs the theory of basic education as the primary foundation for efforts to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. The research aims to analyze the effect of Project-Based Learning (PBL) assisted by Canva media and digital literacy on the learning outcomes of Grade V students in the IPAS subject. The study adopts a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population consists of all Grade V students in Cluster II of Lubuk Basung District, with two classes selected purposively as samples. Data collection techniques include achievement tests, digital literacy questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Data were analyzed using a two-way ANOVA test with the aid of SPSS 16.0 software. The results show that the Project-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Canva is more effective in improving IPAS learning outcomes compared to conventional teaching methods. There is a significant influence of PBL assisted by Canva on students’ IPAS learning outcomes, a significant effect of digital literacy on IPAS achievement, and a significant interaction between PBL assisted by Canva and digital literacy in influencing IPAS learning outcomes. This study is limited to examining the effectiveness of PBL assisted by Canva and digital literacy in IPAS learning; however, these two factors may also be applicable to other subjects. Therefore, future research is encouraged to explore the effectiveness of this method across different learning areas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca permulaan peserta didik kelas I sekolah dasar yang dipengaruhi oleh kurang tepatnya metode dan media pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh metode reading aloud berbantuan media flashcard dan ketepatan intonasi terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan peserta didik kelas I SD. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest–posttest control group design.Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas I pada SD Negeri 41 Sangkir dan SD Negeri 54 Garagahan, Kecamatan Lubuk Basung, Kabupaten Agam, tahun ajaran 2025/2026.Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling, dengan kelas I SD Negeri 41 Sangkir sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas I SD Negeri 54 Garagahan sebagai kelas kontrol.Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kemampuan membaca permulaan dan lembar observasi ketepatan intonasi.Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas dan homogenitas sebagai uji prasyarat, uji Mann–Whitney untuk pengujian hipotesis pertama dan kedua, serta uji Kruskal–Wallis untuk hipotesis ketiga.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat pengaruh signifikan penggunaan metode reading aloud berbantuan media flashcard terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan peserta didik dengan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,006 < 0,05; (2) terdapat pengaruh signifikan ketepatan intonasi terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan dengan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,001 < 0,05; dan (3) tidak terdapat pengaruh signifikan secara simultan antara metode reading aloud berbantuan media flashcard dan ketepatan intonasi terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan dengan nilai Asymp. Sig. sebesar 0,513 > 0,05. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa intonasi bersifat individual dan dipengaruhi oleh kesiapan fonologis serta kemampuan menyimak peserta didik.

Abstract

Mathematics learning outcomes in Indonesian elementary schools remain a persistent challenge, with national assessments revealing that many third-grade students have not yet achieved minimum competency thresholds. Conventional instruction-dominated classrooms, combined with limited use of concrete learning media, contribute significantly to low conceptual understanding among early-grade learners. This study aimed to examine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model assisted by natural gravel manipulatives on the mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade elementary school students in Cluster 2, Tanjung Mutiara District, Agam Regency, West Sumatra. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design was employed. The experimental group comprised 9 students from SDN 17 Bukik Malintang, while the control group consisted of 12 students from SDN 06 Bukik Malintang, selected through purposive sampling based on the highest inter-school homogeneity. Data were collected through mathematics achievement tests and analyzed using Normalized Gain (N-Gain) scores, Independent Sample t-test, Mann-Whitney U test as a robustness check, and Cohen’s d effect size. Results indicated a statistically significant difference in learning improvement between the two groups (t = 2.609; p = 0.017). The experimental group achieved a mean N-Gain score of 67.58%, compared to 37.18% in the control group. The effect size analysis yielded Cohen’s d = 1.150 and Hedges' g = 1.104, both categorized as large effects. These findings demonstrate that the integration of TGT with natural gravel manipulatives represents a promising, resource-efficient pedagogical intervention for enhancing mathematics learning outcomes in concrete operational stage learners.
