Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti pengaruh model learning cycle 5E terhadap penguaaaan konsep elastisitas dan hukum hooke peserta didik kelas XI. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan ialah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pre test dan post test kontrol group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMAN 7 Mataram berjumlah 214 peserta didik yang terbagi menjadi 6 kelas. Pengambilan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sehingga terpilih peserta didik kelas XI IPA 6 sebanyak 30 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 5 sebanyak 25 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan berupa pembelajaran menggunakan model learning cycle 5E, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan model konvensional. Nilai rata-rata pre test dan post test yang diperoleh kelas eksperimen sebesar 77,29 dengan kriteria baik dan kelas kontrol sebesar 65,73 dengan kriteria cukup baik . Data pre test dan post test untuk kedua kelas homogen dan terdistrbusi normal. Data penguasaan konsep peserta didik dianalisis menggunakan uji-t cuplikan kembar. Hasil analisis data pre test dan post test diperoleh nilai  sebesar 5,60 dengan nilai  sebesar 2,00 dengan taraf signifikan 5%.  Hasil analisis uji persentasi N-Gain diproleh untukkrlas eksperimen 51,44 kriteria sedang dan kelas kontrol sebesar 27,10 dengan kriteria rendah. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan model learning cycle 5E terhadap penguasaan konsep elastisitas dan hukum hooke peserta didik kelas XI.

Abstract

Perubahan kurikulum berpengaruh terhadap bahan ajar suatu sekolah salah satunya menuntut peserta didik untuk berkolaborasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation terhadap penguasaan konsep fisika pesserta didik kelas X SMAN 1 Praya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperiment dengan desain penelitian non equivalent control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas X MIPA SMAN 1 Praya dengan jumlah 468 peserta pedidik, teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sumpling dengan kelas X MIPA 6 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas X MIPA 7 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Kelas kontrol diberi perlakuan berupa model pembelajaran konvensional dan kelas eksperimen diberi perlakuan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation. Pada sebelum dan sesudah diberi perlakuan, kedua kelas diberi tes penguasaan konsep fiska yang berjumlah 23 soal. Hasil tes awal dan tes akhir penguasaan konsep fisika dianalisis homogenitas dan normalitasnya untuk melakukan uji hipotesis. Analisis uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation terhadap penguasaan konsep fisika peserta didik kelas X SMAN 1 Praya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan media animasi terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida dinamis. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMAN 7 Mataram yang berjumlah 214 orang dan terbagi ke dalam enam kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 6 yang berjumlah 29 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 5 yang berjumlah 26 sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes tulis berupa soal pilihan ganda berjumlah 19 soal yang sudah lulus uji instrumen. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan behwa nilai rata-rata kelas XI MIPA 6 yaitu 70,0 dan nilai rata-rata kelas XI MIPA 5 yaitu 58,8. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan kedua kelas homogen dan data terdistribusi normal. Menggunakan rumus t-test polled varians diperoleh  sebesar 2,2 dan  sebesar 2.0, sehingga  lebih besar dari , maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengeruh model pembeljaran berbasis masalah berbantuan media animasi terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida dinamis.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought transformative changes to education, particularly in the field of physics, where complex concepts often pose significant challenges for students. This narrative review explores the role of AI in physics education by analyzing various tools and methods currently applied in learning environments, including intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning platforms, and interactive simulations. The study aims to assess the benefits and limitations of these technologies, as well as their potential to enhance learning outcomes through personalized, adaptive, and interactive experiences. Utilizing the SCOPUS database, a wide-ranging literature search was conducted with relevant keywords to capture studies that contribute to understanding AI’s impact on physics education. Results indicate that AI-driven tools significantly improve student engagement, accessibility, and understanding of abstract concepts by offering tailored learning pathways, real-time feedback, and immersive simulations. Additionally, AI provides alternative access to learning for students from diverse backgrounds, fostering inclusivity in physics education. However, challenges such as dependency on AI, ethical issues related to data security, and the potential digital divide are noted as barriers to effective implementation. To address these issues, the review recommends a balanced approach where AI complements traditional teaching methods, ensuring that it enhances rather than replaces human instruction. This review highlights the transformative potential of AI in physics education, advocating for further research to develop structured, ethical, and inclusive integration strategies that maximize the educational benefits of AI while addressing its limitations.

Abstract

Creative thinking skills are essential competencies that students must develop, particularly in physics education, which involves problem-solving and the application of complex concepts. One effective method for enhancing these skills is blended learning, which combines both face-to-face and online learning. This study aims to examine the impact of blended learning on the creative thinking skills of students in the Basic Physics course, specifically in the topics of Waves and Optics. The research used a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test approach, involving 20 first-semester students selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using the N-gain formula by Hake to measure improvements in students' creative thinking skills, which included indicators of fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration, and sensitivity to problems. The results showed a significant improvement in students' creative thinking skills, with an average pre-test score of 44.65 and a post-test score of 84.25, yielding an N-gain of 70.56%, which falls into the high category. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that blended learning is effective in enhancing students' creative thinking skills, particularly in the context of basic physics education. The implementation of blended learning positively contributes to the development of students' creativity through a combination of face-to-face and online learning.

Abstract

Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi dan keterampilan masyarakat Desa Bengkaung dalam mengekstrak tanaman obat melalui penggunaan teknologi sederhana yang berbasis kearifan lokal. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam program ini melibatkan pemanfaatan bahan-bahan lokal, seperti kayu manis, kayu gaharu, kulit kayu Bridellia micrantha, serta alat tradisional gerabah untuk proses ekstraksi tanaman obat. Program ini tidak hanya bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan praktis dalam pengolahan tanaman obat, tetapi juga untuk melestarikan dan mengembangkan kearifan lokal yang sudah ada di desa tersebut. Variabel utama yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini meliputi peningkatan keterampilan ekstraksi, pemanfaatan bahan lokal, kesadaran terhadap pelestarian kearifan lokal, dan penggunaan alat tradisional yang ramah lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan program ini meliputi pelatihan langsung kepada masyarakat melalui workshop dan pendampingan, serta evaluasi hasil melalui metode pre-test dan post-test. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan masyarakat Desa Bengkaung dalam mengekstrak tanaman obat dengan alat sederhana. Para peserta pelatihan dapat mengidentifikasi dan memanfaatkan bahan-bahan lokal secara efektif untuk proses ekstraksi, serta memahami pentingnya keberlanjutan dan pelestarian kearifan lokal. Selain itu, penggunaan alat tradisional gerabah sebagai media ekstraksi juga terbukti tidak hanya efektif dalam menghasilkan produk ekstraksi, tetapi juga mendukung upaya pelestarian budaya lokal yang ramah lingkungan. Dengan demikian, PKM ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat Desa Bengkaung, tidak hanya dalam aspek keterampilan teknis, tetapi juga dalam penguatan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang berbasis pada keberlanjutan dan penggunaan bahan-bahan alami. Program ini juga berpotensi menjadi model bagi pengembangan masyarakat berbasis kearifan lokal lainnya dalam rangka meningkatkan literasi dan keterampilan berbasis budaya yang berkelanjutan. Community Partnership Program: Fostering Literacy and Skills in Extracting Medicinal Plants Through Simple Technology with a Focus on Local Wisdom  Abstract This Community Partnership Program (PKM) aims to enhance the literacy and skills of the residents of Bengkaung Village in extracting medicinal plants using simple technology based on local wisdom. The approach employed in this program involves utilizing local materials, such as cinnamon, agarwood, and the bark of Bridellia micrantha, as well as traditional clay tools for the medicinal plant extraction process. The program not only aims to improve practical skills in processing medicinal plants but also seeks to preserve and develop the local wisdom already present in the village. The key variables analyzed in this study include the improvement of extraction skills, the utilization of local materials, awareness of preserving local wisdom, and the use of environmentally friendly traditional tools. The methods applied in the implementation of this program include direct training through workshops and mentoring, as well as evaluating the outcomes using pre-test and post-test methods. The results of the program show a significant improvement in the abilities of Bengkaung Village residents in extracting medicinal plants using simple tools. Participants were able to identify and effectively utilize local materials for the extraction process and understand the importance of sustainability and preserving local wisdom. Additionally, the use of traditional clay tools as extraction media proved not only effective in producing extraction products but also supported efforts to preserve environmentally friendly local cultural practices. Thus, this PKM has made a significant contribution to empowering the Bengkaung Village community, not only in terms of technical skills but also in strengthening values of local wisdom based on sustainability and the use of natural materials. This program also has the potential to serve as a model for other community development initiatives based on local wisdom to enhance literacy and skills in a sustainable cultural framework.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan kecenderungan penelitian dosen FKIP Universitas Mataram terhadap isu-isu strategis nasional pada tahun 2020 dan 2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus. Data primer dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan dosen dari empat jurusan di FKIP Universitas Mataram, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari laporan penelitian hibah PNBP tahun 2020 dan 2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar penelitian dosen berfokus pada bidang pendidikan, sosial, ekonomi, hukum, dan humaniora, dengan tingkat kesesuaian meningkat dari 94,32% pada tahun 2020 menjadi 98,25% pada tahun 2021. Namun, ditemukan kendala berupa ruang lingkup sub-topik penelitian yang terlalu sempit, serta tidak adanya penelitian di bidang ekonomi dan hukum meskipun relevan dengan program studi yang ada. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya perluasan sub-topik penelitian dan optimalisasi pemetaan riset untuk mendukung pencapaian visi FKIP Universitas Mataram sebagai LPTK unggul dan berdaya saing internasional. BP3MF's Contribution in Realizing Mataram University as an Excellent and Internationally Competitive LPTKAbstractThis study aims to map the research trends of FKIP lecturers at Mataram University on national strategic issues over the past two years (2020–2021). A descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method was employed. Primary data were obtained through interviews with lecturers from four departments at FKIP, while secondary data were sourced from the 2020 and 2021 PNBP grant research reports. The results indicate that most lecturers' research focused on education, social sciences, economics, law, and humanities, with an increase in alignment from 94.32% in 2020 to 98.25% in 2021. However, the narrow scope of sub-topics limited exploration of national strategic issues, and no research was conducted in the fields of economics and law. This study recommends expanding the scope of research sub-topics and strengthening research mapping to support the institution's vision of becoming a quality and internationally competitive LPTK based on research.

Abstract

Salah satu masalah di institusi pendidikan adalah semakin maraknya perilaku perundungan di kalangan peserta didik. Untuk mengatasinya, perlu diadakan sosialisasi betapa berbahayanya perundungan dan cara mencegahnya. Kegiatan ini penting dilakukan dengan harapan kesadaran peserta didik meningkat betapa berbahayanya perundungan di kalangan pelajar, yang berdampak jangka panjang terhadap kesehatan fisik dan mental. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah metode ceramah dan diskusi. Setelah mengikuti seluruh kegiatan pengabdian ini, peserta didik di SMA Negeri 1 Terare menyadari betapa berbahayanya akibat tindakan perundungan, karena berdampak panjang terhadap kesehatan fisik dan mental.

Abstract

Physics education is essential for fostering scientific literacy and critical thinking, yet it faces persistent challenges, including declining student engagement, curriculum irrelevance, and the complexities of integrating technology. This study adopts a literature review method, analyzing peer-reviewed studies published in the last five years, sourced from databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar, using keywords like “physics education,” “student engagement,” and “curriculum reform.” The findings highlight that the abstract nature of physics, traditional lecture-based methods, and a lack of real-world applications contribute to reduced student interest. Addressing these issues requires the adoption of interactive, inquiry-based pedagogies and the development of contextualized curricula that align with contemporary societal challenges. Technology integration, including simulations and virtual experiments, enhances engagement but faces obstacles such as resource disparities and insufficient teacher training. Teacher preparedness remains pivotal, emphasizing professional development programs that enhance subject expertise, pedagogical skills, and technological proficiency. Additionally, educational reforms often face implementation challenges due to exam-centric systems and misalignment with classroom practices. This review advocates for a holistic approach, combining curriculum reforms, balanced technology use, and sustained investment in teacher development to revitalize physics education. By addressing these interconnected issues, physics education can become more engaging and relevant, equipping students with critical skills to navigate a technology-driven world. This work provides a foundation for future research and policy initiatives aimed at fostering inclusive and impactful physics education practices.

Abstract

Incorporating knowledge of culture and local wisdom values (ethnosciences) into scientific investigation is a new breakthrough in the current study. The integration of ethnosciences and scientific investigation is a valuable pathway that serves not only as a tool for acquiring new knowledge but also for developing critical thinking (CT) skills essential in solving real-world problems. This research aims to enhance CT skills among prospective science teachers (PSTs) through a teaching program that integrates ethnosciences with inquiry-creative learning. This particular investigation employs a mixed method approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative study utilized a randomized pretest-posttest control group design, with traditional expository teaching employed as the comparison group. Qualitative methods were specifically used in this study through semi-structured interviews with lecturer, particularly regarding the PSTs’ engagement in the implementation of learning program. CT skill tests and interview forms were used as data collection instruments. The study findings reveal that integrating ethnosciences with inquiry-creative learning has a significant effect on the development of CT skills compared to traditional instruction. The findings highlight the effectiveness of this approach in improving CT skills among PSTs and contribute to future research in the field of science education.
