Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of collaboration between actors in achieving sustainable development goals through the implementation of a circular economy in Karangwidoro Village, Malang Regency, East Java, Indonesia. Malang Regency was chosen because it has representative peri-urban characteristics, with rapid urbanization and coexistence between urban and rural elements. The data used are primary data through in-depth interviews and direct observation. Data collection was carried out from February to March 2025. This study uses MACTOR (Matrix of Alliances and Conflicts, Tactics, and Objectives for Risk Analysis) analysis to analyze among 9 main stakeholders, such as managers, partners, government officials, academics, and local communities. The research findings show that strong collaboration between central actors such as local governments, program managers, and academic institutions is critical to the successful implementation of a circular economy. However, challenges remain, especially with peripheral actors such as local communities, whose involvement tends to be sporadic and dependent on external factors. This study concludes that to ensure the sustainability of the program, collaboration between various existing actors is very important in achieving sustainable development goals through a circular economy, by utilizing synergies between government, society, private sector, and academics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of stakeholders in the implementation of circular economy in waste management in Jongbiru Village, Gampengrejo District, Kediri Regency. This village was chosen because it is the location of TPS 3R implementation as a solution to environmental problems, especially waste, through a circular economy approach. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results showed that the implementation of circular economy in TPS 3R Jongbiru has been running although it still faces various obstacles, such as limited human resources and not optimal periodic evaluation. The role of stakeholders is divided into several functions: TPS 3R managers as field implementers, academics as innovation accelerators, Rotation Institute as facilitators and policy creators, and village government as coordinators and local policy makers. Collaboration between stakeholders is a key factor in the sustainability of the 3R-based waste management program and circular economy. This research concludes that multi-stakeholder synergy is needed so that the village waste management model can become an efficient, sustainable system, and contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Abstract

Mental health is a strategic issue in economics because it affects the quality of human resources and regional economic productivity. This study aims to analyze the impact of schizophrenia, depression, and suicidal ideation on economic losses across provinces in Indonesia and to examine the role of depression treatment as a mediating variable. The study employs a quantitative approach using explanatory research and a cross-sectional design based on secondary data from 2023. Data were obtained from the Indonesian Health Survey (SKI) by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia and Regional Gross Domestic Product (PDRB) data from the Central Statistics Agency, with 38 provinces in Indonesia as the units of analysis. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, multiple linear regression, and causal mediation analysis. The results of the study indicate that schizophrenia, depression, and suicidal ideation have a significant negative effect on economic loss, as proxied by per capita GRDP. Depression is the variable with the greatest negative impact on regional economic productivity. Furthermore, treatment for depression was found to act as a significant mediator capable of mitigating the negative impact of depression on economic loss. These findings indicate that improved access to mental health services contributes to increased community economic productivity and a reduction in regional economic losses. This study makes a theoretical contribution to the development of development economics and health economics research through the integration of mental health variables and regional economic productivity. Practically, the research results underscore the importance of integrating mental health services into regional development policies to improve the quality of human resources and reduce economic loss in Indonesia.

Abstract

The development of digital technology and the dynamics of the global job market demand an increase in the career readiness of graduates, especially prospective economics teachers. However, there is still a gap between the competencies of graduates and the needs of the world of work, which are influenced by factors of economic behavior, self-efficacy, social support, and career planning. This study aims to analyze the influence of these factors on career readiness with career motivation as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory method through the analysis of Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The research sample amounted to 247 students of the Economics Education Study Program at three universities in Lampung Province. The results showed that economic behavior, self-efficacy, and career planning had a positive and significant effect on career readiness, while social support had no significant effect. In addition, self-efficacy, social support, and career planning have a significant effect on career motivation, but career motivation does not have a direct effect on career readiness and is unable to mediate the relationship between independent variables on career readiness. These findings confirm that career readiness is more influenced by real competencies, behavior, and strategic planning than motivational factors alone. This research makes a theoretical contribution to the development of Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT) as well as practical implications for the development of curriculum and career guidance programs in higher education.

Abstract

Abstract

The presence of Women's Cooperatives or also known as "Kopwan" in society is crucial for aiding the government in addressing economic challenges, reducing unemployment, enhancing family financial well-being, and tackling gender issues. Despite their significant role, the existence of Kopwan requires careful attention, as many face stagnation at the business level, attributed in part to challenges in effectively managing working capital. This qualitative descriptive research aims to elucidate the meaning, sources, and management of working capital for Kopwan, utilizing data gathered through interviews and observational methods. The qualitative descriptive approach is chosen for its ability to directly depict and interpret the phenomena occurring in the investigated field. The findings reveal that Kopwan views working capital not merely as money but also as trust and networks. The management of working capital in Kopwan encompasses planning, organizing, and monitoring stages, and the applied model has proven effective in helping cooperatives successfully navigate operational aspects and enhance financial performance.
