Abstract

ABSTRAKThis research examines data-based planning as a strategy to improve school quality, with a case study at SMP Negeri 1 Petungkriyono, Pekalongan Regency. The focus of the research is the use of educational report cards to support targeted and evidence-based strategic planning. A qualitative approach was used through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis to explore the planning process based on educational report card data. The research results show that in 2024 SMP Negeri 1 Petungkriyono experienced improvements in four priority indicators, including literacy, numeracy, security climate and diversity climate, but still faced challenges in student character and learning quality. The main root problems include competency in reading literary texts, algebra domain, and learning methods. To overcome this, the school adopted a data-based planning model with an Identification, Reflection and Improvement approach. The strategy implemented involves teacher training, strengthening education policies, and optimizing facilities and infrastructure. This research emphasizes the importance of a data-based approach in designing more effective, efficient and sustainable education policies. It is hoped that these findings will become a reference for other schools in efforts to improve the quality of education in an integrated manner.

Abstract

This is a qualitative research study seeking to determine how leadership in schools can help in motivating teachers as well as improve on students’ performance. A prospective quantitative study is carried out in Penajam to compare the two research questions on how participatory and transformational leadership affects teacher engagement and its relation to the students’ outcomes. Conducting interviews with the teachers, the work confirms that-being receptive and open to all, the leaders undoubtedly enhance the motivation level of teachers and as a result – the levels of classroom activity, the creativity in approaching the tasks, and the achievements of students are also raised. On the other hand, autocratic leadership and other similar leadership practices were seen to have negative impacts on the motivation of the teachers and thus the students’ performance. The study brings into focus that teacher motivation, backed up by good leadership improves school climate, reduces lumpenism and enhances academic performance. Of particular relevance in the study is the need to maintain leadership support, proper resource provision and organizational support to keep the teachers motivated as well as to support long-term students’ outcomes. The findings of this study may be useful for school leaders as well as policymakers to pay timely attention towards the necessity of better leadership approach in order to improve education.

Abstract

The digital revolution has significantly reshaped the global labor market, yet its benefits remain unequally distributed—particularly along gender lines. Women in many regions face considerable barriers in accessing digital tools, acquiring digital literacy, and participating in digital economies. This research aims to explore the gendered digital divide in the world of work by identifying patterns of inequality, understanding underlying socio-cultural and institutional factors, and proposing inclusive solutions. A mixed-methods approach was adopted, combining a structured survey (n=1,500 across three countries) with in-depth interviews and focus group discussions among female workers from diverse sectors and regions. Quantitative findings reveal that women consistently lag behind men in internet access, digital confidence, and participation in online labor platforms. Only 37% of women reported digital confidence at work compared to 66% of men. Qualitative insights highlight barriers such as gender norms, limited policy outreach, and insufficient institutional support. Moreover, many women are excluded from workplace decision-making in digital transformation processes. These disparities not only restrict individual economic mobility but also hinder broader development goals. The study concludes that the digital divide is both a technological and structural issue requiring holistic intervention—ranging from digital infrastructure to gender-responsive training and workplace inclusion policies. Findings support the need for national and international action to ensure that digitalization advances, rather than limits, gender equality in the labor force.

Abstract

Poor tableware hygiene can play an important role in the growth and spread of diseases and food poisoning. For this reason, the use of natural antiseptics made from lime peel (Citrus aurantifolia) with salt can be used to reduce the risk of contamination of pathogenic bacteria on tableware. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of lime peel antiseptic (Citrus aurantifolia) with salt in concentrations of 30%, 40%, and 50% on the reduction of the number of germs on spoons. This type of research uses a quasi-experimental method with a one group pre-post test design and is carried out in three replications. The total number of samples was 19 sample. The results of the study were analyzed using the paired samples test, the results were obtained with a concentration of 30%, a total decrease of 20 CFU/m2, and a sig value 0.057>0.05 means that there is no significant effect, for a concentration of 40% with a total decrease of 25 CFU/m2, and a sig value. 0.029<0.05 means that there is a significant influence, while the concentration is 50% with a total decrease of 29 CFU/m2 and a sig. 0.035<0.05 means that there is a significant influence on reducing the number of germs on the spoon. The use of natural antiseptics at concentrations of 30%, 40%, and 50% is not able to reduce the number of germs in tableware according to Indonesian Minister of Health Regulation No.1096/MENKES/PER/IV/2011 concerning Hygiene and Sanitation of Food Services, which is 0 (zero) CFU/m2. It is recommended for future researchers to focus not only on spoons, but also on various other types of cutlery such, as plates and glasses
