Abstract

The yellowfin tuna hand line fishing business in Jambula Village, Ternate City is an activity that aims to exploit yellowfin tuna fish resources with the aim of obtaining continuous profits, therefore it is necessary to carry out scientific studies related to evaluating the feasibility of the yellowfin tuna long-line fishing business in Jambula City Village. Ternate. The aim of this research is to analyze the feasibility of the yellowfin tuna hand-line fishing business in Jambula Village, Ternate City. The research was carried out in Jambula Village, Ternate City from June to November 2003. The research method used was a survey method. Data on investment costs, fixed and variable operations, fish prices, and the average number of catches per trip were obtained through interviews with owners of yellowfin tuna hand-line fishing businesses because generally the fishermen who catch them are the business owners. Considering that the number of yellowfin tuna hand-line fishermen in Jambula Subdistrict is 30, a sample of 6 (20%) fishermen respondents was taken as a representative of yellowfin tuna hand-line fishermen in that sub-district.The results of the research show that the yellowfin tuna ulura fishing business in Jambula Village, Ternate City is worth continuing and developing, with the resulting economic feasibility indicator being an average profit of IDR. 45,208,333.33/year, average net present value Rp. 254,476,531.14, average value of net benefit cost ratio 3.83, average value of internal rate of return 77.83%, average value of break event point Rp. 205,899,999.94, and the average payback period value is 1.66 years.

Abstract

Gastropods are one of the macrobenthos associated with seagrass ecosystems. The purpose of this research is to determine the structure of the gastropod community in the seagrass ecosystem in the Bama waters of Baluran National Park. Collecting data on gastropods in seagrass ecosystems uses quadrat transects. The research was conducted in February 2024. Based on the research results, it was found that the richness of gastropod species in the seagrass ecosystem in the waters of Baluran National Park was in the low category at each station. The gastropod species diversity index value in this study was in the low category. The evenness index has a stable category, while the dominance index in this study does not have species dominance in gastropods. Seagrass density in this study was in the rare and dense categories.

Abstract

This study was compiled to find out how the quality of public services at the Population and Civil Registration Office during the Covid-19 pandemic in Gowa Regency. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Collecting data through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. Service quality in this study focused on the dimensions of Realibility, Responsivness, Tangible, Assurance, and Empathy. The results showed that the quality of public services at the Office of Population and Civil Registration, Gowa Regency, which was carried out in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, was considered quite good. Although public services are carried out with limitations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the community is still well served. The ability of employees who serve well even with strict health protocols, are responsive to providing information to the public, facilities and infrastructure that conform to health protocols but still make the community comfortable, guarantee clear time and costs, and friendly and courteous service. Public services are carried out with strict health protocols, carried out online and offline so that people get quality services.

Abstract

Food security of the Indonesian population is threatened because climate change has the potential to reduce technical efficiency of rice production. To adapt and reduce these negative impacts, farmers implement climate change adaptation strategies. This study aims to determine how the effect of climate change adaptation on the technical efficiency of rice farming. Research data was collected through interviews with 112 rice farmers in Sleman Regency. We carried out two stages of analysis, namely stochastic frontier analysis to determine the production function and efficiency level, and tobit regression to determine the effect of adaptation strategy on technical efficiency. The findings indicate that most farmers use short-lived varieties and apply two types of adaptation strategies in one growing season. By increasing the number of adaptation strategies, the technical efficiency of rice farming will increase. These results have important policy implications for increasing the adoption of adaptation strategies by farmers. The government and farmers should collaborate to formulate adaptation strategy policies to provide farmers with a choice of adaptation strategies. Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of progressive relaxation techniques on the anxiety of Bua Raga Fc sepak takraw athletes. This research used Pretest-Posttest Design; giving a pretest before treatment, and a posttest afterward in the experimental group. The population in this study is all 15 Bua Raga Fc sepak takraw athletes. The sample is 15 Bua Raga Fc sepak takraw athletes. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling where all members of the population are sampled in this research. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire or questionnaire which uses an anxiety test instrument by (Tangkudung, 2018). Research data was analyzed descriptively, testing requirements; data normality and homogeneity tests, paired sample t-test. according to the significant levelα= 0.05. The results of the study show that there is a significant influence of progressive relaxation techniques on the anxiety of Bua Raga Fc sepak takraw athletes, with a t = calculated value of 17.905, this value is bigger than t = table 2.131 or t= count of 17.905 > t=table 2.131 and the result is sig. (2-tailed) which is 0.000 < 0.05. The average pretest anxiety score is 51.27 and the average posttest anxiety score is 40.67, there is a difference between groups of 10.6. The conclusion is that there is a decrease in athlete anxiety after being given progressive relaxation techniques. Thus, the progressive muscle relaxation technique is effective in reducing anxiety in Bua Raga Fc sepak takraw athletes.

Abstract

Land suitability is one aspect that determines the success of vannamei shrimp cultivation in coastal pond areas. Cultivation of vannamei shrimp in ponds has a spatial component as well as differences in the biophysical and socio-economic characteristics of each location. Many ponds that are intensively managed have not taken advantage of the advantages of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) in selecting locations and managing vannamei shrimp culture, which is important to do to avoid business failure. This study used a survey method to collect data on water quality parameters (acidity / pH, temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen / DO, nitrate, and phosphate). Analysis of land suitability for vannamei shrimp cultivation in ponds using the scoring method, each water quality parameter is weighted and a score is then divided into 4 land suitability classes, namely classes S1 (Very Suitable), S2 (Sufficiently Suitable), S3 (Conditional Appropriate), and N (Unsuitable). The results showed that the vannamei shrimp pond land suitability map produced a thematic map of the suitability of the vannamei shrimp pond land which had a total area of 13.65 ha of vannamei shrimp and had 4 levels of suitability, namely very suitable class (S1) with an area of 3.96 ha, a class that appropriate (S2) has an area of 7.8 ha, a moderately suitable class (S3) has an area of 0.85 ha, and an unsuitable class (N) has an area of 1.04 ha.Keywords: Litopenaeus vannamei; Water quality; Land Suitability; Geographical Information SystemsAbstrakKesesuaian lahan merupakan salah satu aspek yang menentukan keberhasilan kegiatan budidaya udang vannamei di wilayah tambak pesisir. Budidaya udang vannamei di tambak memiliki komponen keruangan serta perbedaan karakteristik biofisik dan social ekonomi dari setiap lokasi. Banyak tambak yang dikelola secara intensif belum memanfaatkan kelebihan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) dalam melakukan pemilihan lokasi dan pengelolaan budidaya udang vannamei, dimana hal tersebut penting dilakukan untuk menghindari kegagalan usaha. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei untuk pengambilan data parameter kualitas air (keasaman/pH, suhu, salinitas, oksigen terlarut/DO, nitrat, dan fosfat). Analisis kesesuaian lahan budidaya udang vannamei di tambak menggunakan metode skoring, parameter kualitas air masing-masing diberi bobot dan skor yang kemudian dibedakan menjadi 4 kelas kesesuaian lahan yaitu kelas S1 (Sangat Sesuai), S2 (Cukup Sesuai), S3 (Sesuai Bersyarat), dan N (Tidak Sesuai). Hasil penelitian didapatkan peta kesesuaian lahan tambak udang vannamei menghasilkan peta tematik kesesuaian lahan tambak udang vannamei memiliki total luas tambak udang vannamei seluas 13,65 Ha serta memiliki 4 tingkat kesesuaian yaitu kelas sangat sesuai (S1) dengan luasan sebesar 3,96 Ha, kelas yang sesuai (S2) memiliki luasan sebesar 7,8 Ha, kelas yang cukup sesuai (S3) memiliki luasan sebesar 0,85 Ha, dan kelas yang tidak sesuai (N) memiliki luasan sebesar 1,04 Ha.Kata Kunci: Litopenaeus vannamei, Kualitas Perairan; Analisa Kesesuaian; Sistem Informasi Geografis

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur kepuasan kerja karyawan PT Smartfren Telecom Makassar dan menunjukkan bahwa ada korelasi antara kepuasan kerja PT Smartfren Telecom Makassar dan kinerja karyawan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-kuantitatif, dengan mendeskripsikan pengamatan dan menganalisis data yang diperoleh di lapangan. PT Smartfren Telecom Makassar menggunakan rumus korelasi product moment untuk pengumpulan data untuk melihat korelasi antara kepuasan kerja dengan kinerja karyawan. Setelah menganalisis kemudian disimpulkan bahwa kinerja karyawan PT Smartfren Telecom Makassar berada pada kategori tinggi yaitu 82%. Artinya, Kinerja karyawan PT Smartfren Telecom Makassar seperti yang diharapkan, tetapi mereka masih perlu meningkatkan diri untuk menjadi lebih baik. Dengan menghitung rhitung = 0,317 > rtabel 0,176 pada tingkat kepercayaan 95%, PT Smartfren Telecom Makassar menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara kepuasan kerja dengan kinerja karyawan. Mengenai pentingnya korelasi, ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kepuasan kerja dan kinerja karyawan. Artinya, t hitung 3,67 > t tabel 2,617 pada tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Oleh karena itu, hipotesis yang diuji diterima.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh disiplin pegawai dan pelayanan publik terhadap kepuasan masyarakat di Kantor Kecamatan Bontocani Kabupaten Bone. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis deksriptif merupakan suatu metode yang bertujuan untuk memberikan deskripsi mengenai subjek penelitian berdasarkan data variabel yang di peroleh dari kelompok subjek tertentu dan analisis statistik inferensial teknik yang digunakan untuk mengkaji, menaksir dan mengambil kesimpulan berdasarkan data dari sempel untuk menggambarkan karakteristik dari suatu populasi. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh memberikan koefisien regresi ganda yang dituangkan dalam persamaan garis regresi, yaitu: Ý=104.800+0,531 X1+0,061 X2. Sumbangan efektif variabel bebas secara bersama-sama terhadap variabel terikat 0,592 atau 59,2 %. Sementara masih ada 40,8 % karena pengaruh faktor lainnya. Variabel bebas yang paling kuat korelasinya terhadap variabel terikat adalah variabel disiplin pegawai yaitu sebesar 0,592 atau 59,2 %. Sedangkan variabel pelayanan publik korelasinya hanya 0,061 atau 6,1%.

Abstract

Issues regarding attitudes and perceptions about English and its cultural politics have been widely and significantly reported in literature. As an international language, English signifies multiple and complex benefits and challenges. This paper aims to extend the discussion by interrogating students’ attitudes and unpack their views towards promises of English in Indonesian Islamic higher education (HE) settings. Participants in this study were undergraduate English Literature students who had engaged with the introductory principles of (Critical) Applied Linguistics (CPL). Data was collected through questionnaires (with closed and open-ended questions) from 58 participants, 19 males and 39 females, and semi-structured interviews with four students. The findings elucidated different views on varieties of English as students showed a quite moderate view of varieties of English from non-inner circle countries instead of treating them as something deficient. Dependency on native speakers’ English variety, however, seems to be negotiated in that the participants view intelligibility as more important in communication than, for instance, correctness. Moreover, students in the present study view speaking English with a local accent as something acceptable. Although not absolutely certain, they still presume that having competence in English can offer better hope in their future.

Abstract

The implementation of this community service focuses on increasing the enthusiasm for reading and memorizing the Qur'an through the Qur'an learning process using the Kauny method so that children feel comfortable, happy and relaxed in learning the Qur'an in terms of getting used to reading and then getting used to memorizing the Qur'an. The author conducted two stages of writing methods of socialization and beginner training in the process of learning the Qur'an using the Kauny method. The findings of this study are by applying the Kauny method to TPQ children in Wibawamulya village makes them enthusiastic in memorizing, not easily bored and saturated because of the nature of learning that is not monotonous. And in each lesson there is a story that describes the verse being studied, making it easier for children to imagine and explore the verse and its meaning through movement. This is able to sharpen their brain power in the memorization process.
