Abstract

This study examines the moderating role of Islamic spirituality in the workplace on the influence between employee perceptions of organizational justice and job satisfaction on internet misuse at work (or cyberloafing). In this study, the research design was cross-sectional with a survey method. The required data were collected through questionnaires from 232 samples of employees working at private universities (PTS) in East Java. In order to test the research hypothesis, the variant-based structural equation modelling (VB-SEM) technique was used in this study with the help of SmartPLS 4.0. The model testing results showed that organizational justice significantly impacts job satisfaction, and consequently, job satisfaction significantly affects cyberloafing. In addition, organizational justice significantly influences cyberloafing, and finally, organizational justice can significantly influence cyberloafing through job satisfaction. Furthermore, Islamic spirituality at work moderates the impact of organizational justice and job satisfaction toward cyberloafing. These findings contribute to a better understanding of the influence of organizational justice and job satisfaction on cyberloafing and support controlling cyberloafing through Islamic spirituality in the workplace.

Abstract

Tax compliance is the government's goal to achieve the expected tax targets. To achieve this compliance, the government offers a low tax rate to encourage MSMEs to pay its tax debt. On the other hand, taxes are burdensome for MSMEs because they are government expenditures that are deducted from net income so taxpayers look for ways to reduce the taxes paid . This article reviews the influence of income turnover, self-assessment system also tax amnesty on taxpayer compliance with micro, small and medium enterprises , a study of tax accounting literature. Meanwhile From an Islamic perspective, each taxpayer has the responsibility to pay the taxes. The taxpayer compliance in Islamic perspective stated that governments permitted to take some of its citizen’s assets such the taxes. This can be seen in the Hadith recounted by Fatimah bint Qais and Q.S At-Taubah 29. This article aims to develop the hypothesis according connection among variables for further study. This research show several findings, there are: 1) Income Turnover influences Taxpayer Compliance ; 2) The Self Assessment System influences Taxpayer Compliance ; and 3) Tax Amnesty affects Taxpayer Compliance.

Abstract

Fuel sources derived from oil palm plants are abundant but have not been optimally utilized by the community. This study aims to show the performance efficiency of cheap fuel fruitless (Brondolan) using people's stoves as fuel substitutes for kerosene, coal, and Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG). This study uses a quantitative observation method. The types of fuel and stove materials used include (1) conventional kerosene-fired stoves, (2) conventional LPG-fired stoves, (3) gasified biomass stoves fueled with palm fruit, (a) large stove size (Prime Brand), and (b) small stove size (People's Stove Brand). The research procedure is measured by heating 5 liters of water from room temperature to boiling (1000C). The results show that fruitless is more efficient than gasoline, coal, and LPG is more efficient. Based on trials, heat 5 liters of water to a boil at Rp. 200, Gasoline Rp. 1,650, and LPG Rp. 381. The government's role is to provide socialization and policies in applying alternative materials with lozenges to reduce the use of gasoline and LPG. Unrefined fuel can be an alternative material for household scale stoves.

Abstract

Increasing production capacity is one of the key strategies to maintain the competitiveness of tire companies in an increasingly dynamic and competitive market. One of the critical machines in the tire production process is the Rubber Sheet Calender, which currently has a capacity of only 2700 Tires Per Day (TPD). However, based on the sales forecast for 2025, the required production capacity is expected to reach 3000 TPD. This study aims to analyze and enhance the capacity of the Rubber Sheet Calender machine using the Discrete Event Simulation (DES) approach. Data were collected through direct observation, time studies, and interviews with machine operators and production supervisors. A simulation model was developed to represent the actual condition (as-is), and improvement scenarios were tested, including adding labor, increasing buffer capacity, and reducing setup time. The simulation results show that a combination of improvements can significantly increase throughput by increasing machine speed from 4.65 to 6.31 (a 36% increase) and raising production capacity from 3360 to 4962 (a 59% increase). Thus, the improvement recommendations using DES have proven to be an effective decision-support tool for enhancing production capacity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore religiosity indicators which are then confirmed to measure the holistic Islamic religiosity variable. This study uses a mixed method, exploratory sequential design. The qualitative method is carried out with a systematic literature review, with 76 articles in the final selection process. The quantitative method is carried out by collecting data from 403 Islamic Bank customers in Indonesia using a numeric scale questionnaire, and analyzed using exploratory factor analysis (SPSS) and confirmatory factor analysis (AMOS) techniques. The findings in this study indicate that holistic Islamic religiosity can be measured by 2 dimensions (faith and piety), consisting of 4 indicators (faith dimensions) and 3 indicators (piety dimensions). This study focuses on Islamic Bank customers in the Jakarta, West Java and East Java areas. Further research is expected to confirm this measurement in other regions and other wider business sectors, so that the level of generalization can be even wider. The measurement of the Holistic Islamic Religiosity variable can be used as a reference by researchers who involve religiosity variables in their research, especially in consumer behavior research with an Islamic theme.

Abstract

The frond base supports the oil palm tree trunk and distributes photosynthesis results. Frond base fracture (sengkleh) is thought to reduce plant growth performance and production. This study aims to quantitatively analyze the effect of frond base facture on vegetative and reproductive growth of oil palm. The study was conducted for three months at the KUD Sumber Sawit Makmur oil palm plantation, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. The method used was an agronomic survey with observations on six plant blocks: three blocks with healthy trees and three with unhealthy trees (there were more than three sengkleh fronds). Three plant samples were observed in each block. The parameters observed included the number of frond bases facture, new frond growth, number of female flowers, number of bunches harvested, and average bunch weight. Data were analyzed using two-factor ANOVA and continued with a 5% DMRT test if there was a significant difference. The results showed that frond base conditions had a very significant effect on all observation parameters. Plants with normal frond bases showed faster new leaf sheath growth, more female flowers, and higher yields than plants with fractured frond bases. These findings confirm that frond bases can be used as important visual indicators in technical decision making in the field.
