Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of the Case Method in teaching Calculus courses, focusing on enhancing student participation, learning motivation, and multi-directional communication in the context of both online and offline learning, thereby creating a dynamic and lively classroom. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach, where descriptive analysis and literature review are used as the main techniques for data analysis. The subjects of this study are students who participate in learning using the Case Method. The instrument used for data collection is task-based interviews, which allow for the collection of qualitative data regarding students' experiences and perspectives related to this method. The results of the study show that students with high abilities can follow the learning process with the Case Method very well, students with moderate abilities can follow it well, and students with low abilities can follow it fairly well. The discussion of these results highlights how the Case Method can enhance student engagement and learning motivation across different ability levels and create effective communication in learning. The implementation of this research emphasizes the importance of adapting the Case Method in teaching to create an interactive learning environment that supports the development of communication skills and active student participation, both in online and offline learning

Abstract

Salah satu arsip terpenting di desa adalah arsip dokumen tanah Letter C. Letter C merupakan surat pendaftaran tanah yang terdapat di desa sebagai bukti kepemilikan tanah secara turun-temurun. Pemetaan kepemilikan tanah Letter C di desa Pandanarum, Sutojayan oleh perangkat desa sementara masih dilakukan secara manual dan pemetaan terhadap tanah akan terus berlanjut seiring dengan berjalannya waktu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sistem informasi geografis untuk pemetaan tanah Letter C desa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian R&D (research and development) dengan model pengembangan waterfall yang meliputi Requirements Definition, System and Software Design, Implementation and Unit Testing, Integration and System Testing, serta Operation and Maintenance. Hasil penelitian menghasilkan sebuah website pemetaan Letter C Desa yang memuat data latitude dan longitude untuk koordinat peta yang akan ditampilkan serta nama pemilik, NOP, alamat, jenis tanah, sebagai data yang didapatkan dari buku DHKP, dan gambar rumah sebagai pelengkap

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the correlation between the area of oil palm plantations and oil palm production in Indonesia, especially in the Sumatra and Kalimantan regions which are the centers of oil palm plantation distribution. Data collection using secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), this study aims to determine the relationship between the increase in land area and oil palm plantation production over the past 10 years. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlative approach. Data analysis was carried out using a bivariate correlation Pearson correlation test to determine the positive relationship between plantation area and oil palm production. The results of the analysis showed a significant positive relationship between the land area variable and oil palm production in both the Sumatra and Kalimantan regions, this is indicated by a positive number and a strong correlation of 0.852 for the Sumatra region and very strong, namely 0.996 for the Kalimantan region. In addition, the results of the interpretation of the correlation by looking at Sig. (2-tailed) also show that between the land area variable and production there is a significant correlation, namely 0.002 for the Sumatra region and a value of 0.000 for the Kalimantan region. Although the correlation between land area and production shows a positive value and has a very strong correlation, there are still other factors such as technology, climate, and management practices that also play a role in influencing palm oil production results.

Abstract

Global climate change and its impact on the movement of people and goods pose new challenges to Indonesia's national security and economy. Based on data from 91 observation stations from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the normal air temperature for the period 1991–2020 in Indonesia is 26.8 °C, with an average air temperature in 2022 of 27.0 °C. In Indonesia and the world as a whole, 2016 was the hottest year with a temperature anomaly of 27.4 °C. Indonesia is recorded as contributing 259.1 million metric tons of CO2 in 2021 and is projected to increase by 29.13% to 334.6 million metric tons of CO2 in 2030. As a response to climate change, the idea of green customs has emerged. The aim is to increase customs capacity, monitor and facilitate legal trade, and prevent illegal trade in environmentally sensitive commodities with Multilateral Environmental Agreements. Various countries in the world are required to realize Green Customs. This study aims to determine the implementation of Green Customs in various countries and recommend policies to support the implementation of Green Customs in Indonesia. The method used in this research is a systematic literature review. The results of the study show that the World Customs Organization focuses on implementing green customs through cooperation between parties; United States Customs releases a green trade strategy; countries in Africa make use of AcFTA; and ASEAN member countries need to harmonize non-tariff measures. Policies that can be considered include providing green trade incentives, strengthening environmental law enforcement, accelerating green innovation, increasing climate resilience and resource efficiency, maximizing the use of free trade agreements for green products, maximizing export financing institutions for green industries, and harmonizing non-tariff measures

Abstract

This research aims to compare the Springate and Grover bankruptcy models, evaluating their accuracy in predicting bankruptcies among transportation sector companies listed on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) before and during Covid-19 (2018-2021). Conducted as quantitative research, the study utilizes secondary financial report data. Findings reveal significant differences between the two models, with the Grover method demonstrating higher accuracy in predicting bankruptcy among transportation sector companies on ISSI before and during the pandemic. Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan proses interaktif dan dinamis di mana guru dan siswa saling berinteraksi dengan lingkungan dan masyarakat untuk menciptakan generasi yang unggul dengan karakter kuat dan potensi maksimal, pendidikan fisika memegang peran penting dalam kurikulum Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA), memastikan pemahaman yang baik bagi siswa. Tujuan dari tinjauan literatur ini adalah untuk menganalisis dampak prinsip-prinsip perkembangan siswa dalam pembelajaran fisika serta menawarkan solusi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas. Studi ini menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan untuk mengeksplorasi, mengevaluasi, dan menganalisis teori-teori inovatif yang relevan dalam konteks pendidikan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran yang menarik dapat mengoptimalkan hasil belajar siswa dan memperdalam pemahaman mereka terhadap fisika, dengan menekankan identifikasi konsep fisika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Selain itu, dapat membuat peserta didik lebih berani untuk mengemukakan pendapatnya dengan percaya diri dan lebih aktif dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang efektif juga dapat membantu pendidik memahami karakteristik individu siswa, mendorong mereka untuk belajar dengan semangat, giat, dan konsisten dalam memahami fisika. Dengan penelitian ini guru dapat mengetahui cara agar dapat membuat peserta didik lebih aktif dan giat dalam proses pembelajaran fisika dan membantu peserta didik untuk memahami konsep fisika serta menerapkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari

Abstract

Penurunan kapasitas Bendung Air Malawele di Kabupaten Sorong disebabkan oleh sedimentasi, yang terlihat dari banyaknya tanaman merambat di area bendung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik sedimen dasar (bed load) dan menghitung volume sedimen dasar menggunakan metode Meyer-Peter Müller (MPM) dan metode Einstein. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dalam analisis tingkat sedimentasi, dengan melibatkan analisa saringan untuk distribusi ukuran butir sedimen dan perhitungan laju sedimentasi dasar (bed load) dengan kedua metode tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berat jenis sedimen di area bendung sebesar 2,58 gram/cm3 dan termasuk tanah lempung organik. Berdasarkan ukuran butir, d55 sebesar 0,244 mm dan d90 sebesar 0,68 mm, sedangkan menurut klasifikasi American Geophysical Union (AGU), sedimen dasar tergolong dalam jenis fragmen pasir halus dan pasir berkwarsa. Analisis menggunakan metode MPM menunjukkan angkutan sedimen sebesar 31,025 m³/tahun, sedangkan metode Einstein menghasilkan angka yang lebih besar, yaitu 42,533 m³/tahun, dengan selisih sebesar 11,508 m³/tahun. Dari kedua metode ini, metode Einstein menghasilkan estimasi angkutan sedimen yang lebih besar dibandingkan metode MPM.

Abstract

In the power system, transformers are crucial electrical equipment that require an insulator or dielectric material, such as paper immersed in insulating oil, to prevent electrical contact between components. The dissolved gas analysis (DGA) test is important for diagnosing and determining the maintenance recommendations for transformers. The duval triangle method (DTM) is commonly used to identify faults in transformers. The data used in this article are from DGA test of power transformers in East Java and Bali transmission main unit (UIT JBM). The DGA data were analyzed based on the IEEE C57.104-2019 standards, and by using the developed random forest (RF) classifier-based DTM for easier software implementation and better accuracy. The results of fault identification in 6 transformers case study showed a low-thermal fault (T1)300 °C in transformer 1, where methane gas increased, stray gassing (S) in transformer 5 due to escalating hydrogen gas production, overheating (O)≤250 °C indicated in transformers 2 and 6 due to rising ethane gas production. Transformers 3 and 4 were found in normal condition. This fault identification is done to enhance the accuracy of maintenance recommendation action based on DGA.

Abstract

The system of linear equations is a material that is studied from the junior high school level to the lecture level so that this material is very important material in learning mathematics. The purpose of this research is to find out what methods are easy and widely used by students in solving the system of linear equations. This research is a qualitative research with case study type. The participants of this study were 10 students of Indraprasta PGRI university. Data were collected by task-based interviews which aimed to dig deeper into the easiest and fastest method to solve the system of linear equations. The data analysis technique used in this study uses Bogdan Biklen technique with stages: data reduction, coding, determining themes, concluding. The results showed that there are 5 methods that can be used in solving the system of linear equations, namely: Cramer Method, Ajoin Matrix Method, Gaus Method, and Gaus Jordan Method. Of the four methods, according to the results of student tests, the best value is obtained with the Cramer Method, this is reinforced by the results of interviews conducted by students who said that the Cramer method is the easiest and fastest method to solve the system of linear equations. While the Gaus method is the most difficult method to solve the system of linear equations.Keywords: System of linear equations, Method, Case Study
