Abstract

Digital technologies are transforming grammar instruction within English as a Foreign Language (EFL) programs. However, limited knowledge exists regarding their implementation in Indonesian higher education, where access disparities and varying levels of instructor preparedness pose significant challenges. This research endeavours to bridge that gap by examining the opportunities and obstacles associated with digital grammar teaching across three undergraduate English education curricula. Employing a sequential explanatory mixed?methods approach, the study surveyed 180 undergraduate students (S1) to gather insights on their interactions with mobile grammar applications, artificial intelligence-based grammar checkers, and online quizzes. Subsequently, semi?structured interviews were conducted with ten English faculty members to contextualize the quantitative findings. The results indicate that 72?% of students experienced increased motivation when engaging with digital tools for grammar learning, 69?% reported greater autonomy in their practice, and 65?% perceived enhancements in accuracy. Nonetheless, 31?% of students relied on instructors to interpret automated feedback, and 41?% accepted corrections uncritically, reflecting an overdependence on technological solutions. The qualitative interviews revealed that while digital tools fostered greater engagement and facilitated differentiated assignments, concerns persisted regarding feedback reliability, unequal access to devices, and the necessity for instructor oversight. These findings imply that digital tools have the potential to bolster motivation, autonomy, and precision in Indonesian EFL grammar education when thoughtfully integrated within supportive infrastructural and professional development frameworks. The study underscores the critical need for equitable access, comprehensive instructor training, and deliberate curricular integration to maximize the benefits of digital grammar instruction.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze several aspects, namely: 1) Stages of Academic Supervision Implementation by the Principal of Madrasah; 2) Supervision Approach by the Principal of Madrasah; and 3) Academic Supervision Techniques applied at MA Al-Munawwarah Pondidaha. The research was conducted qualitatively with a narrative approach, which is a form of investigation that presents data systematically, shows logical relationships and has meaning. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Stages of academic supervision are supervision planning, supervision implementation, and supervision evaluation; 2) The supervision approach used is a direct and indirect approach but the approach is closer to human supervision; 3) The supervision techniques used by the Principal of MA Al-Munawwarah Pondidaha are classroom visits, personal meetings (Individual conferences), teacher/staff council meetings, inter-class visits, meetings in work groups/MGMP, and seminars. Then the results of the supervision carried out by the principal of Madrasah MA Al-Munawwarah Pondidaha were able to improve teacher performance in terms of personality competency, professional competency, and social competency.

Abstract

Medical waste is produced in hospitals by a variety of means, including solid waste, gas, and liquid. Therefore, it is necessary to support the analysis of the production of solid medical waste at RS SMS Berjaya District of Kolaka. The purpose of this technical support is to find out the monthly quantity of solid medical waste as well as the solid medical waste disposal system carried out at SMS Berjaya Hospital. Use both qualitative and quantitative descriptions. The accompanying results showed that the solid medical waste produced from medical activities in each room during the observation was a source of non-acute infectious garbage. Class II and III hospital facilities produce the highest percentage of medical garbage 23.13 kg/day (46.26%), and the smallest unit of medical waste in each room is 2.59 kg/ day (5.18%). And in the Infectious Object Garbage, the largest in Class II & III facilities is 1.32 kg/day (29,53%). And Nifas/Perinatology facilities are much smaller than 0.4kg/day (8.95%). SMS Berjaya Hospital has a solid, well-implemented medical waste management system.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to show how transformational leadership and supervision influence the quality of teacher services. Data were analyzed using path analysis with ninety-five teachers as the units of analysis. The findings indicate both direct and indirect effects on each sub-construct. Substructure 1 includes: 1) the effect of transformational leadership on the quality of elementary school teacher services is 0.24 or 24%. 2) In substructure 2, the effect of transformational leadership on the quality of services achieved by supervisors is 0.32 or 32%. 3) the effect of transformational leadership on supervision is 0.48 or 48%. 4) the indirect effect of transformational leadership on the quality of teacher services through supervision is found to be significant at 4.978 with a P-Value = 0.000. Meanwhile, the indirect effect is 0.115 while the total effect is 0.355 or 35.5%. This study shows that the quality of services is influenced by changes in transformational leadership and supervision. Thus, these two factors can be considered in improving the quality of elementary school teacher services. Keywords: Transformational Leadership Style, Supervisor, Teacher Service Quality

Abstract

Achieving food security and nutrition is one of the national development priorities that the government is tasked with realizing. In the 2020-2024 RPJMN there are seven National Priorities (PN). The research design is a depiction of the research paradigm, the author chose a qualitative research approach to reveal and discuss the Implementation of the Performance Policy of the Center for Agricultural Technology Assessment and Development (BBP2TP) towards the Development of Location-Specific Agricultural Innovations. In its implementation, there are many things that influence it. One of the crucial things for the development of location-specific technology is how to harmonize technology development between the Research Center and the Agricultural Technology Assessment Center (BPTP). In the implementation of location-specific technology development policies coordinated by BBP2TP, many interests affect (Interest Affected) the Implementation of Location-Specific Agricultural Innovation Development Policies.

Abstract

Daun jati putih (Gmelina Arborea roxb) merupakan jenis tumbuhan dengan akar, kulit kayu, daun, bunga, dan buah yang biasa digunakan sebagai obat. Flavonoid adalah senyawa utama yang terkandung dalam daun jati putih yang memiliki aktivitas dalam menghambat jalur siklooksigenase 2 (COX 2) pada proses inflamasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak daun jati putih (Gmelina arborea Roxb) terhadap aktivitas antiinflamasi dan analgetik pada mencit jantan (Mus musculus). Penggunaan mencit jantan dipilih karena hewan ini memiliki kemiripan biologis yang tinggi dengan manusia, termasuk kesamaan genetik sekitar 95% dan keserupaan mekanisme respons imun, seperti aktivasi makrofag serta produksi sitokin proinflamasi. Dalam penelitian ini, ekstrak daun jati putih diberikan pada tiga dosis, yaitu 10 mg, 15 mg, dan 20 mg sebagai kelompok perlakuan, sedangkan Natrium Diklofenak digunakan sebagai kontrol positif. Uji antiinflamasi dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi penurunan edema, dan uji analgetik digunakan untuk menilai pengurangan respons nyeri pada mencit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh dosis ekstrak daun jati putih mampu menurunkan pembengkakan dibandingkan kelompok kontrol negatif, dengan penurunan edema paling besar ditunjukkan oleh dosis 20 mg. Pada uji analgetik, data menunjukkan bahwa dosis tertinggi ekstrak menghasilkan efek pengurangan nyeri paling signifikan dibandingkan kelompok kontrol negatif. Dengan demikian, ekstrak daun jati putih berpotensi memiliki aktivitas antiinflamasi dan analgetik yang sebanding dengan obat standar pada model mencit jantan.

Abstract

The city of Banjarmasin has a long history, reflected in the place names (toponyms) scattered across its territory. Toponyms not only indicate locations but also encapsulate historical, cultural, and local wisdom values of the wetland communities. Unfortunately, the use of toponyms as a source for learning local history remains limited, particularly within the educational context. This research aims to identify and describe the toponyms in Banjarmasin, along with their origins and meanings. It also analyzes the connection between toponyms and local history as well as the wisdom of the wetland communities. Furthermore, it seeks to develop a model or teaching material for local history based on toponyms as a contextual learning resource for junior and senior high schools. The research employs historical methods, including heuristics (source collection), criticism (external and internal), interpretation (analysis), and historiography (writing). The study’s findings suggest that Banjarmasin’s toponyms can be integrated into local history education. Through toponyms, students can learn about the relationship between humans and their environment, the dynamics of settlement, the city’s development over time, and support a contextual learning approach.

Abstract

The journey of theater in Indonesia demonstrates a long and dynamic historical process over time. In Banjarmasin, the development of theater arts contributed significantly to the emergence of theater communities within universities, both public and private, through student activity units. Himasindo Theater, under the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarmasin, was officially established in 1995. This study aims to describe and analyze the development of the Himasindo Theater, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, ULM, from 1995 to 2020. The research employed historical methods encompassing four main stages: heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results show that Himasindo Theater experienced ups and downs in its organizational aspects, from lacking a clear organizational structure to becoming a more focused organization. However, its status as a faculty-level Student Activity Unit (UKM) limited its membership, resulting in a decline in membership and decreased productivity. In its creative field, Teater Himasindo displays its distinctive characteristics through experimental, surrealist, and realist styles, influenced by different thinkers from different eras.

Abstract

The phenomenon of low student motivation in History learning at Senior High Schools (SMA) is caused by several factors, such as the lack of creativity from teachers and the limited use of learning media. This impacts students' interest in revisiting learned material and lowers their learning outcomes. As a solution, effective learning media is needed, one of which is multimedia, which can enhance motivation and interaction in the learning process. In this case, the Powtoon animation video application is considered a tool that can facilitate the delivery of material in an engaging and interactive way. This study focuses on training History teachers in Barito Kuala Regency to create video-based learning media using Powtoon. The training aims to improve teachers' skills in creating e-learning supporting videos and making the teaching and learning process more engaging and easier for students to understand. The program involves History teachers who are part of the MGMP History group in Barito Kuala Regency, with the expectation that it will broaden their knowledge of using video-based animation media to improve the quality of History teaching in schools. The use of Powtoon in creating learning media is also expected to address challenges faced by teachers related to time limitations and access to learning resources, while supporting more effective and efficient learning

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini ditujukan kepada guru-guru sekolah menengah atas di Kota Kendari dengan 51 orang guru sebagai sampel yang dipilih secara acak. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan hal-hal sebagai berikut: (1) hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam mengendalikan sekolah berhubungan erat dengan prestasi kerja guru; (2) hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa iklim kerja merupakan salah satu prediktor prestasi kerja guru. Iklim kerja yang dimaksud adalah yang kondusif dan menyenangkan; (3) dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku kepemimpinan dan Iklim kerja secara bersama-sama merupakan prediktor prestasi kerja guru. Dengan demikian maka untuk mewujudkan prestasi kerja guru yang lebih baik maka beberapa faktor penentu harus diperhatikan adalah perilaku kepemimpinan dan iklim kerja. Artinya jika seorang kepala sekolah memilki perilaku kepemimpinan dan iklim kerja yang positif dan kondusif maka prestasi kerja guru akan cenderung meningkat, sebaliknya jika seorang kepala sekolah memiliki perilaku kepemimpinan dan iklim kerja yang negatif dan tidak kondusif maka prestasi kerja guru akan cenderung menurun.   Kata kunci: Perilaku Kepemimpinan, Iklim Kerja, dan Prestasi Kerja.
