Abstract

This type of research is development research with the ADDIE model. This research begins with analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects in this study were media expert validators, material experts, learning experts, students, and teachers. The results of the development in the form of science-based e-modules are in the form of evaluations from expert validators and trials of students and teachers. The assessment of media experts received a score of 92.85 with the category "Very Worthy. Material experts received a rating of 92.85 in the "Very Worthy" category. The results of the assessment of learning experts get a value of 73.21 with the category "Eligible". the assessment of small-scale trials conducted by students gets a score of 95 with the category "Very Worthy" and the assessment of the teacher gets a score of 95 with the category "Very Worthy". The large-scale trials conducted by students got a score of 96.6 with the category "Very Worthy" and the assessment of the teacher received a score of 97.08 with the category "Very Worthy". Based on the results of the research obtained, science-based e-modules are very feasible to be used in the learning process at school.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This study aims to determine the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the adiwiyata program in shaping the character of caring for the environment and to find out supporting factors and obstacles in the implementation of the adiwiyata program in shaping the character of the care for the environment in SD Muhammadiyah Bodon Kotagede. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection methods are done through interviews, observation, and documentation. Research subjects were the principal, the adiwiyata team, teachers, and students. The validity of the data uses triangulation techniques. Analysis techniques using data collections, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of the adiwiyata program in shaping the character of caring for the environment had been integrated in policies that were environmentally friendly and integrated in each subject. The integration was socialized to all school members to create an environmentally friendly school agreement. The supporting factors for the implementation of the adiwiyata program are the beautiful school environment, good cooperation between the schools, adequate budget, and environmentally friendly supporting facilities that support the implementation of the adiwiyata program. Factors inhibiting the implementation of the adiwiyata program include that there are still students who are not yet aware of understanding the concept of being environmentally minded and still lacking land for the process of growing green plants.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan; 1) untuk mengetahui langkah-langkah pengembangan LKPD berbasis STEM pada materi IPA tema 7 subtema 1 kelas V SD; 2) untuk mengetahui kualitas produk LKPD berbasis STEM pada materi IPA tema 7 subtema 1 kelas V SD. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian pengembangan (RnD) menggunakan model ADDIE tetapi hanya tiga tahapan yaitu analyze, design, dan development. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu guru. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi, dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis data kualitatif untuk mengolah data berdasarkan komentar atau saran dari para ahli dan respon guru serta analisis data kuantitatif  untuk mengetahui kualitas produk. Pada uji coba produk menggunakan angket para ahli dan respon guru. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa  nilai akhir dari uji validasi ahli materi mendapatkan nilai 79,00 dengan kategori “Baik”, ahli media mendapatkan nilai 83,00 dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”, ahli pembelajaran mendapatkan nilai 78,00 dengan kategori “Baik”, ahli bahasa mendapatkan nilai 84,00 dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”, dan respon guru mendapatkan nilai 86,00 dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”. Apabila dianalisis data kuantitatif rata-rata nilai uji validasi ahli dan respon guru maka diperoleh nilai 82,00 termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Baik”. LKPD memuat materi IPA pada Perubahan Wujud Benda, Pembuatan alat penangkap kabut, penjelasan Fog Machine, teknik menghasilkan air dan teknik balon udara agar bisa terbang, serta kegiatan mengukur. LKPD juga berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan proses sains terhadap hasil belajar IPA lebih baik daripada LKPD konvensional.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' self-regulated learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SD Muhammadiyah Sambisari. This study used a descriptive quantitative research method. The research subjects were Grade VI students of SD Muhammadiyah Sambisari. The results showed that the self-regulated learning of grade VI Muhammadiyah SD students was in the medium category with a percentage of 13%, high category 40%, and very high category 47%. This shows that self-regulated learning in grade IV at SD Muhammadiyah Sambisari is good, even though the learning has not face-to-face. Good self-regulated learning in a person is also described, as depending on their belief in the ability of themselves to achieve something they want to show.

Abstract

Background: Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) are crucial for students to face the 21st century development. This study aimed to determine higher order thinking skills of the fifth graders at Muhammadiyah elementary school in Demangan and Baitussalam II Islamic elementary school in solving questions on human and animal respiratory organs.Method: A descriptive quantitative approach was employed. It included survey and ex-post factor designs. The research data were collected using tests.Result: The participants of the study achieved medium scores on three categories of HOTS. Thirty nine percent of Ibnu Thufail fifth graders achieved a medium score on judgement and critical thinking, 48% of Ibnu Rusdy fifth graders obtained a medium score on similar category, and 42% of the Muhammadiyah fifth graders got low scores on judgement and critical thinking. Meanwhile in problem-solving, 43% students were in medium category, 39% in low category, and 32% in medium category. Forty eight percent of the students obtained medium scores and 52% achieved poor scores.Implications: The research findings imply that students’ HOTS in natural science need to be improved. Novelty: The present study revealed students’ HOTS based on judgment and critical thinking, problem solving, logic and reasoning skills.

Abstract

Natural science learning in elementary schools is considered difficult by students due to its complexity. Teachers have not been fully able to present the natural science lesson in accordance to the characteristics of elementary school students who are still love to play. Those making the learning process and outcomes have not been maximized and require learning media to overcome the problem. This study aimed to: (1) understanding the way to develop science monopoly in Force learning material; and (2) understanding the quality and feasibility of science monopoly. This study was research and development by ADDIE model in five stages, which are; analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The test of the product was conducted to the 4thgrade students of Muhammadiyah Bausasran 1 Elementary School, Yogyakarta. Instruments have been stated as valid by the expert judgement. The instruments were questionnaire of the feasibility of material, media, and learning expert; questionnaire of students response; and teacher response. Data analysis techniques were qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The assessment score of the media expert validation was 86.5 (very good), subject material expert was 87.5 (very good), learning expert was 85 (very good), teacher response was 100 (very good), and students response was 92.5 (very good).Thus, the learning media of science monopoly on force learning materials for elementary students was already feasible to use as a media of natural science learning.

Abstract

The study aims (1) to know the resulting development HOTS questions for the materials of human and animal respiratory organs for grade V of elementary school, and (2) to test the quality of questions for the materials of human and animal respiratory organs for grade V of elementary school. This study is a Research and Development (RD) with ADDIE methods (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The research subjects were 90 grade V elementary school students. Observation data through interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and tests. The data analysis technique uses qualitative data from Miles and Huberman’s models, while quantitative data uses descriptive and inferential statistical data to calculate the result of the expert test (material and evaluation experts) and empirical test (validity, reliability, Difficulty index, discriminant index, and deception). The study results stated that (1) the validity of the first test that was classified as valid was 13 questions and 32 questions were invalid, while the second test, which was classified as valid, was 44 questions, and 1 question was invalid. The first reliability has sufficient and low criteria, while the second test has high and sufficient criteria. The Difficulty index of the first and second test items has difficult, medium, and easy criteria. The discriminant index of the first test has the criteria of being insufficient, sufficient, good, and some questions do not have a discriminant index, while the second test has the criteria for being insufficient, sufficient, and good. The effectiveness of the first test distractor had 48,89% functional distractor and 51,11% non-functioning, while the second test had 75,55% functional distractor and 24,44% non-functioning, and (2) quality of question development HOTS from the results of material expert validation and evaluation obtained a value of 84,52% with very feasible criteria. Based on these assessment results, the question development is HOTS is feasible to be applied in school.

Abstract

Kelurahan Baciro, Kecamatan Gondokusuman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta berada di pusat kota Yogyakarta, tepatnya berada di samping Stadion Mandala Krida. Kelurahan Baciro terdiri dari 21 RW dan merupakan kelurahan terbesar di Kecamatan Gondoksuman. Penduduk di kelurahan Baciro memiliki agama yang beragam, namun kehidupan beragama di Kelurahan Baciro sangat toleran. Program ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat Gondokusuman dengan berbagai pelatihan dan pendampingan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dan membangun rasa toleransi antar umat beragama. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan secara langsung (direct training) dalam bidang kewirausahaan, senam sehat bagi warga, pembudidayaan TOGA, dan penyelenggaraan lomba menghias makanan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari program ni adalah adanya peningkatan partisipasi dan antusias masyarakat, serta pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat meningkat. Kesadaran hidup sehat semakin membaik dengan diadakannya berbagai program kesehatan seperti senam sehat, jalan sehat, dan lomba budidaya TOGA. Berbagai aktivitas yang dilaksanakan bersama dan gotong royong membuat toleransi antar warna dan rasa kekeluargaan meningkat.

Abstract

Program ini bertujuan untuk melatih guru tentang bagaimana proses pembelajaran dan  pengelolaan kelas berbasis gaya belajar di PAUD dan TK. Dengan adanya pelatihan ini guru dapat mengelola kelas dengan lebih baik dengan mempertimbangkan gaya belajar siswa. Guru diharapkan dapat mengelola kelas dengan baik sesuai gaya belajar masing-masing siswa, sehingga dapat memberikan pendampingan belajar yang sesuai dengan karakter belajar individu. Metode pengabdian ini yaitu pelatihan dan pendampingan. Sebanyak 25 guru PAUD dan TK dari gugus II Desa Munthuk ikut terlibat dalam pelatihan ini. Program dilaksanakan sebanyak dua kali pada tanggal 29 Januari dan 6 Februari 2019. Hasil evaluasi program terukur dengan angket kepuasan pelatihan dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif untuk memperoleh persentase kepuasan peserta terhadap pelaksanaan program. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan dan pendampingan berjalan dengan baik, serta mendapatkan respon yang sangat baik dari peserta.  Kepuasan peserta terhadap pelatihan termasuk dalam kategori baik dengan nilai rata-rata skor diatas 80,00. Harapan setelah diselenggarakan pelatihan ini guru dapat melaksanakan pengelolaan kelas berbasis gaya belajar dengan baik dan tepat untuk seluruh siswa dengan karakteristik siswa masing-masing.

Abstract

Festival anak sholeh merupakan salah satu program kerja bersama yang diselenggarakan oleh mahasiswa KKN UAD yang ada di Dusun Seropan 1. Tujuan diselenggarakannya program festival anak sholeh ini adalah; (1) untuk meningkatkan semangat dalam belajar agama islam; (2) untuk mengembangkan minat dan bakat dalam bidang agama; (3) untuk mengembangkan tingkat kreativitas seni; dan (4) untuk meningkatkan rasa percaya diri anak-anak Dusun Seropan 1. Pelaksanaan program festival anak sholeh terdapat 5 kegiatan yaitu, lomba hafalan surah pendek, lomba adzan, lomba membaca puisi, lomba membaca do’a sehari-hari dan lomba menggambar. Metode pelaksanaan yang diterapkan pada program festival anak sholeh ini menggunakan metode pembekalan, pelatihan, dan praktik. Hasil dari program festival anak sholeh ini berupa anak-anak di Dusun Seropan 1 lebih bersemangat dalam mempelajari agama islam, kemudian anak-anak Dusun Seropan 1 juga lebih berani untuk menunjukkan bakat serta rasa percaya dirinya semakin meningkat setelah mengikuti program festival anak sholeh. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan beberapa anak laki-laki di Dusun Seropan 1 yang semula tidak berani dalam melakukan adzan setelah dilakukannya pelatihan adzan dalam kegiatan festival anak sholeh menjadi berani untuk melakukan adzan.
