Abstract

The objective of this research describes the method of lecturers to teach problem-solving skills. Problem-solving skills is one of the skills needed in the 21st-century learning. Generally, Islamic boarding schools tend to use classic methods such as recitation, Bandongan, Sorogan. The study is survey research. It is a case study at the Islamic boarding school of Jagad ‘Alimussirry in the second semester of the academic year 2016/2017. Students live in Islamic boarding schools every day. The data were obtained through questionnaires and observations. Questionnaires were consisting of 12 items with a statement of Rosenberg's self-esteem scale. It’s given to the 46 students and five lecturers after learning. The respondents were randomly chosen. The study also conducted observations at the time of learning in 5 courses. Two observers made the observations. The results showed that the problem-solving skills had been taught with a "good enough" category. The learning method is discussion, exercise, and modeling. It is done with 5 phases of problem-solving. The findings are three methods to teach problem-solving skills in the Islamic boarding school. It is a discussion, exercise, and modeling with five problem-solving phases and six learning schemes. Therefore, this study can be used as consideration for education practitioners on how to teach problem-solving skills in Islamic boarding schools. Indonesia has 28 thousand Islamic boarding schools. In addition, this becomes a frequent correction to repair the learning of problem skills in Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia.

Abstract

Motivation in learning will influence the student to be a success. Four aspects that became part of the motivation is the fundamental aspects of attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction. The purpose of this research is to know the extent to which students ' motivation of elementary school teacher education on the basic concept of subject science. The method used is descriptive quantitative survey method; in this case, use the question form of student motivation. This research was carried out in April 2016. The subject of research is the 234 students distributed in University of Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya and the State University of Surabaya. The results showed that students ' learning motivation of elementary school teacher education in aspects of attention, relevance, and satisfaction are on the category quite nicely, while confidence is at a type less well this defines the that required increased efforts of student learning motivation on the subject the basic concept of science.

Abstract

Abstract : The aim of this research was to produce ecosystem module-based inquiry with fishpond as a learning resource that met valid and practical criteria. This method of research development used ADDIE from Branch. The result showed that validation of module is 98.78% it meant that compliance criteria were very valid and from the subject, an expert was 100%, the result of practicality was 98% it meant that compliance criteria were very practical and the mean result of the student’s response was 91,65%.  It meant that students gave a positive response to the module. Based on this result, it could be concluded that ecosystem module-based inquiry with fish pond resources that met valid, practical criteria can be further implemented to grade X.Abstrak : Penelitiian ini bertujuan untuk rnenghasilkan produk berupa rnodul ekosistem berbasiis inkuiri bersumber belajar tambak yang memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis. Penelitian ini rnenggunakan rnodel pengernbangan ADDIE dari Branch. Hasil uji kevalidan modul oleh ahli bahan ajar sebesar 98,78% yang menunjukkan kriteria sangat valid dan oleh ahli materi sebesar 100%, hasil uji kepraktisan sebesar 98% yang memenuhi kriteria sangat praktis dan hasil rerata respons siswa terhadap modul sebesar 91,65% yang menunjukkan bahwa siswa memberikan respons positif terhadap modul. Berdasrkan hasil tersebut dapat disirnpulkan bahwa rnodul ekosistern berbasis inkuiri bersumber belajar tambak memenuhi kriteria valid  serta praktis dan dapat diimplementasikan lebih lanjut ke siswa kelas X.

Abstract

Abstract: The objectives of this research are to design a valid inquiry-based learning material about ecosystem and environmental pollution for grade X of Senior High School 3 Malang and to discover its effect towards critical thinking ability, conceptual comprehension, and attitude of grade X of Senior High School 3 Malang students. This research was conducted in two phases. The first phase is making the learning material including syllable, course outline, handout, student worksheet, and scoring instrument. The second phase is a quasi-experiment. Two sample groups are given different treatment to see the effect for critical thinking skills, conceptual comprehension, and student attitude. The results of the study showed that the learning material based on inquiry learning is valid and could be used for grade X students of Senior High School 3 Malang and there is a significant effect of the learning material towards the students critical thinking ability, conceptual comprehension, and attitude. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua tahap. Tahap pertama adalah perancangan perangkat pembelajaran seperti silabus, RPP, handout, LKS, dan instrumen penilaian. Tahap kedua adalah eksperimen quasi. Pada tahap ini, dua sampel kelompok diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda untuk melihat pengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis, pemahaman konsep, dan sikap siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri valid dan dapat digunakan pada siswa kelas X SMAN 3 Malang dan terdapat pengaruh signifikan perangkat pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis, pemahaman konsep, dan sikap siswa. Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to study the effect of Connect Extend Challenge learning through concept maps and different levels of metacognitive awareness to the students’ scientific reasoning. This study was done in a quasi-experimental design is using a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The results showed that CEC combined with concept map learning increased scientific reasoning ability by 59.826% compared to the conventional learning, metacognitive awareness level affect the reasoning ability. The highest reasoning ability was achieved by the high metacognitive awareness level group.Key Words: connect extend challenge, scientific reasoning, metacognitive awarenessAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran Connect Extend Chal-lenge melalui peta konsep dan tingkat kesadaran metakognitif yang berbeda terhadap kemampuan penalaran saintifik siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan rancangan quasi experimental yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan rancangan pretest-postest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran CEC melalui peta konsep meningkatkan kemampu-an penalaran saintifik sebesar 59,826% dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional, kesadaran metakognitif berpengaruh terhadap penalaran saintifik siswa. Rata-rata penalaran saintifik siswa yang paling tinggi adalah pada siswa yang memiliki kesadaran metakognitif tinggi.Kata kunci: connect extend challenge, penalaran saintifik, kesadaran metakognitif

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of the study was to analyze the social attitudes, communication skills, and environmental literacy of class XI students at SMAN 2 Malang. The type of research is mixed, through a quantitative approach to describe environmental literacy, and qualitative, to describe social attitudes. The research population is all students of class XI. The samples in this study were students of class XI science, the independent variables were students of class XI, the dependent variable was social attitudes, communication skills, and environmental literacy. The research instrument is a questionnaire. The analysis technique is that the research data is reduced, verified, and presented. The results showed that the scores were not balanced, the values of social attitudes, communication skills, and environmental literacy were scored 77.25, 75.75, and 75.67.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian menganalisis sikap sosial, keterampilan komunikasi, dan literasi lingkungan siswa kelas XI di SMAN 2 Malang. Jenis penelitian yakni campuran, melalui pendekatan kuantitatif untuk menjabarkan literasi lingkungan, dan kualitatif, untuk menjabarkan sikap sosial. Populasi penelitian yakni seluruh siswa kelas XI. Sampel pada penelitian yakni siswa kelas XI IPA, variabel bebas siswa kelas XI, variabel terikat yakni sikap sosial, keterampilan komunikasi, dan literasi lingkungan. Instrumen penelitian yakni kuisioner. Teknik analisis yakni data hasil penelitian direduksi, diverifikasi, dan disajikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai belum seimbang, nilai sikap sosial, keterampilan komunikasi, dan literasi lingkungan mendapat nilai yakni 77,25, 75,75, dan 75,67.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to describe the knowledge and behavior of students related toSustainableReserveFoodGarden Program (SRFGP). The research was conducted in June 2016 at Miftahul Ma’arif Islamic Boarding House Central Lombok. The type of this research is descriptive quantitative. Sample were collected through Purpossive Sampling technique. The number of respondents were 26 students. The result showed that the knowledge and behaviour of students related to SRFGP were very low, 26,4% and 5,8%, respectively. We need further action to improve the knowledge and behavior to implement SRFGP in environment preservation and awareness.Key Words: SustainableReserveFoodGarden Program (SRFGP), Student Knowledge, Student BehaviorAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengetahuan dan manifestasi perilaku santri yang berkaitan dengan program Kawasan Rumah Pangan Lestari. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juni 2016 di pondok pesantren Miftahul Ma’arif Lombok Tengah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah  deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan sampel secara Purpossive Sampling. Jumlah responden sebanyak 26 santri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan santri mengenai KRPL sebesar  26,4% dan perilaku yang berhubungan dengan KRPL sebesar 5,8%.. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pengetahuan dan perilaku santri  tentang program KRPL sangat rendah, sehingga perlu dilakukan tindakan lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkannya dalam upaua pelestarian dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan.Kata kunci: Kawasan Rumah Pangan Lestari (KRPL), Pengetahuan santri, Perilaku  santri

Abstract

Abstract: Problem-solving skills in the field of Biology have an important role in representing problems, finding relationships, making predictions, and verifying or checking solutions. This study aims to implement an augmented reality-assisted problem-based learning e-module on bioindicator materials to improve problem-solving skills. The research method used is a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design involving 29 biology students at the State University of Malang for the 2020/2021 academic year. Paired T-Test results show that the e-module has a significant effect on improving students' problem-solving skills.Abstrak: Keterampilan pemecahan masalah pada bidang Biologi memiliki peran penting dalam merepresentasikan masalah, mencari hubungan, membuat prediksi, dan memverifikasi atau memeriksa solusi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas e-module pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan augmented reality melalui implementasi dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design dengan melibatkan 29 mahasiswa biologi Universitas Negeri Malang tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Hasil uji T berpasangan menunjukkan implementasi e-module berpengaruh secara signifikan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to know the local community knowledge and attitude about Sustainable Reserve Food Garden (SRFG). The research was conducted in July 2016 in Jorong Lubuk Agam, Kenagarian Ampang Kuranji Koto Baru Dharmasraya West Sumatra. This research is descriptive quantitative research.The sample collection techniques employed Accidental Random Sampling. The number of respondents is 33 families. The research results showed that the knowledge and behavior of KRPL still law, respectively 44.1% and 47.27%. The conclusion of this study is the knowledge and behavior of a third of the public about SRFG program is still low, thus we need further action to improve the knowledge and attitude of the community in applying the concept SRFG.Key Words: sustainable reserve food graden program, public knowledge, behavior societyAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan dan perilaku masyarakat tentang Kawasan Rumah Pangan Lestari (KRPL). Abstract

Persoalan sampah tidak henti hentinya untuk dibahas, karena berkaitan dengan pola hidup serta budaya masyarakat itu sendiri. Kota Ternate adalah salah satu kota yang mengalami pertumbuhan penduduk dan ekonomi yang cukup memicu meningkaknya kegiatan jasa, industri, bisnis dan sebagainya di wilayah Ternate sehingga akan memicu meningkatnya produksi limbah buangan atau sampah. Kota Ternate mengalami permasalahan pengelolaan persampahan yakni masalah pengangkutan sampah, berdasarkan data bahwa jumlah ketersediaan prasarana pengangkutan hanya mampu mengngkut timbulan sampah sebesar 214 m³/hari, dinas kebersihan kota Ternate, (2012) sedangkan berdasarkan hitungan bahwa timbulan sampah tahun 2012 adalah 413 m³/hari didasari pada jumlah penduduk kota Ternate saat ini yakni 172.559 jiwa BPS Ternate dalam angka, (2011) bararti menyisakan 52% sampah tidak terangkut ke TPA. Meningkatnya produksi sampah tanpa sistem pengolahan yang tepat menjadi alasan tidak terciptanya lingkungan yang bersih. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode analisis data distribusi frekuensi dengan dilakukan analisis terhadap sistem pengelolaan sampahan di Kelurahan Dufa-Dufa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pengelolaan persampahan di Kota ternate belum cukup baik, beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhui sistem pengelolaan sampah di Kelurahan Dufa-Dufa masih mengalami permasalahan yakni budaya sikap dan perilaku masyarakat, timbunan dan karakteristik sampah, serta sarana pengumpulan, pengangkutan, pengelolaan dan pembuangan akhir sampah.
