Abstract

Leveraging digital technology in the Society 5.0 era is crucial for tourism marketing to enhance destination attractiveness. However, prior research has often aggregated various digital platforms. A gap remains in understanding which digital variable—be it social media promotion, platform adoption, or pure technological innovation (e.g., AI/VR)—exerts the most dominant impact on destination attractiveness. This study aims to comparatively analyze the influence of social media utilization, digital platform adoption, and digital technological innovation on tourism attractiveness in East Kalimantan. A quantitative method was employed, utilizing a questionnaire survey administered to 120 respondents (comprising tourists and business stakeholders), with data analyzed via multiple linear regression. The results indicate that while all three variables have a positive and significant influence, digital technological innovation (beta=0.356$) exerts the most dominant effect, surpassing social media utilization (beta=0.324$) and digital platform adoption (beta=0.281$). The model successfully explains 65.9% of the variance in tourism attractiveness. This finding underscores the need for tourism marketing strategies to shift from mere social promotion to the development of robust digital experiences. By implication, stakeholders are urged to prioritize investment in technology-based infrastructure and innovation capacity to navigate competition in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

Abstract

The integration of environmental sustainability and financial performance has become a growing concern in emerging economies, particularly within resource-intensive sectors such as the textile industry. This study investigates how environmental performance and working capital management affect firm profitability and firm value. It also examines the mediating role of profitability in these relationships. A quantitative research design was employed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The sample consisted of 15 textile companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2018 to 2023. Data were collected from audited financial statements. Variables include environmental performance, working capital management, profitability (measured by ROA), and firm value (measured by Tobin's Q). The empirical results reveal that environmental performance has a negative and significant impact on profitability but positively influences firm value. Working capital management negatively impacts profitability but does not significantly influence firm value. Furthermore, profitability does not significantly affect firm value and does not mediate the relationship between the independent variables and firm value. The findings suggest that environmental initiatives can enhance firm value independently of short-term financial gains. In the textile industry context, non-financial performance, particularly environmental responsibility, is increasingly recognized by the market, even when profitability does not improve. These findings offer useful insights for corporate managers and policymakers aiming to promote sustainability without compromising market valuation

Abstract

This study investigates the critical determinants influencing the longevity of family businesses, particularly within the context of Money Changers in East Java, Indonesia. The research is grounded in the premise that sustained business success across generations depends on effective succession planning, successor preparation, family commitment, and the involvement of the controlling generation. Using a quantitative approach, the research employs PLS - SEM to analyze the relationships between variables. Data collected from 86 licensed Money Changers in East Java. Findings indicate that succession planning and family commitment significantly influence the involvement of the previous generation in transitioning leadership roles. The research underscores the pivotal role of the controlling generation in ensuring the continuity and stability of family businesses. Recommendations include detailed plans for identifying and preparing successors, enhancing family commitment, and increasing the involvement of the previous generation in decision-making processes. Strengthening these aspects is crucial for ensuring the resilience and long-term viability of family businesses, particularly in the Money Changers sector. Future research should expand its scope to encompass diverse regions and consider customer perspectives to shape robust strategies for sustained family business growth.

Abstract

Abstract

PT PLN (Persero) Project Management Center or called (PLN Pusmanpro) in carrying out its activities managing electricity project management, both power plant projects, transmission, substations and rehabilitation projects, opens opportunities for its employees to innovate in the fields of technology and information systems. The problems that arise in the implementation of the use of the Assignment Monitoring and Reporting System (SIMPP) are that the implementation of this application has been running since 2015 and is still using the old version, then there is no indicator that the use of SIMPP can provide work enthusiasm for employees, because the development of the use of information technology is rapidly changing and increasingly sophisticated, and the level of employee communication and innovation is still relatively poor because there are still limitations to the features in this SIMPP application. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of upskilling, communication and digital capability on employee performance with innovation as an intervening variable. This study uses a quantitative method with primary data sources obtained from distributing questionnaires. The population of this study were all employees at PLN Pusmanpro. The selection of respondents was carried out using the saturated non-probability sampling method with a total of 126 respondents. The data analysis method uses descriptive analysis and SEM-PLS analysis. The results of the study indicate that the variables of upskilling, communication and digital capability have a positive and significant effect on employee performance through employee innovation at PT PLN Pusmanpro.
