Abstract

This study aims to analyse the curriculum development strategy of the Nahdatul Ulum Sarampu Islamic boarding school in facing the challenges of globalisation and modernisation in education. In the context of today's competitive era, Islamic boarding schools are required to be adaptive and innovative in order to produce graduates who are not only excellent in religious studies but also competitive in the professional world. This study uses a qualitative approach with field research. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews with the Islamic boarding school leadership and the Head of the Education Bureau as the main sources, supported by observation and documentation. Data analysis was conducted inductively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing based on the dynamics of the process in the field. The results of the study indicate that the curriculum development strategy at the Nahdatul Ulum Sarampu Islamic Boarding School is formulated based on the institution's vision and mission, taking into account community needs and global challenges. Curriculum planning is carried out systematically through in-depth studies by the pesantren leadership to determine the direction and objectives of the education programme. The strategy is implemented through the establishment of new educational units such as Tahfidzul Qur'an, Tartil Qur'an, and the Al-Miftah method, as well as the development of external activities that foster independence and skills among students in creating employment opportunities. The contribution of this research lies in emphasising the importance of integrating traditional pesantren values with the demands of educational modernisation, thereby producing a curriculum development model that is relevant, adaptive, and remains based on Islamic principles.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the beliefs of EFL students about vocabulary learning. The data was taken from 20 students of an English Education Study Program at a University in the second semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. Qualitative data is the design of this study using a reflective journal as instrument. The result of study reveals how the students' beliefs about vocabulary learning are; learners’ reactions in vocabulary, learners’ belief about difficulties in learning vocabulary, learners’ belief of proficiency in vocabulary learning, learners’ belief on the benefits of vocabulary learning, learners’ belief on strategies in vocabulary learning, learners’ belief of perceived confidence used English in communication. These research methods use descriptive data analysis techniques. Furthermore, this study would provide information to readers about the importance of knowing the beliefs of EFL students so that students can improve their skills in learning vocabulary.Keywords: EFL learners, vocabulary learning, learner’s belief

Abstract

Based on the results of research at SMA Negeri 2 Wajo, information was obtained that there are several factors that influence students' learning difficulties in the eyes of students in economic subjects, namely the interest factor, the talent factor, the motivation factor, the learning ability factor, the teacher factor, the friend factor, parent factor. The procedure for this research was carried out by using the classical assumption test and the normality test of the data of the research subject as many as 67 students from class XI IPS 1 and XI IPS 2. The data collection technique used was by giving student questionnaires to SMA Negeri 2 Wajo. Based on the quantitative analysis of the data obtained, it is concluded that the interest factor, talent factor, motivation factor, learning ability factor, teacher factor, friend factor, and parental factor affect learning difficulties at SMA Negeri 2 Wajo.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan perlindungan hukum terkait pemenuhan pekerja anak jalanan, Dampak kebijakan pemerintah Kota Makassar dalam perlindungan  pekerja anak jalanan  di Kota Makassar. serangkaian kegiatan penelitian ini melibatakan tahapan mulai dari analisis kebutuhan hingga pengembangan akhir. Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif deskkriptif, dengan Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah sumber primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlindungan Hak Anak jalanan dilakukan dengan bentuk perlindungan secara refrseif dan preventif, untuk perlindungan secara   preventif  dalam bentuk Pembinaan Pencegahan dengan: a. Pendataan, b. Pemantauan, Pengendalian, dan Pengawasan, Sosialisasi dan Kampanye dan Pembinaan Lanjutan terdiri dari: a. Perlindungan dan Pengendalian Sewaktu-waktu, b. Penampungan Sementara, c. Pendekatan Awal, Pengungkapan, dan Pemahaman Masalah (Assessment), dan d. Pendampingan Sosial dan Rujukan 2) Dampak Kebijakan Pemerintah Kota Makassar Dalam Pemenuhan Hak Anak Jalanan yakni : Pengaruh program pembinaan Dinas Sosial bagi anak jalanan belum menunjukkan hasil yang optimal sehingga anak jalanan masih saja turun melakukan aktivitas di jalananKata Kunci: Perlindugan hukum dan pekerja anak

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaturan hukum yang mengatur pemenuhan hak mendapatkan pendidikan yang layak bagi anak didik pemasyarakatan di LPKA Kelas II Maros (2) faktor penghambat dan pendukung terjaminnya pemenuhan hak pendidikan yang layak bagi anak didik pemasyarakatan di LPKA Kelas II Maros. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif dengan Teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, validasi data yang digunakan adalah triangulasi sumber (data). Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Pengaturan hukum pemenuhan hak mendapatkan pendidikan yang layak bagi anak didik pemasyarakatan sesuai dengan :Undang – Undang Nomor 22 Tahun 2023 Tentang Pemasyarakatan Peraturan Pemerintah No. 32 Tahun 1999 Tentang Syarat dan Pembinaan Tata Cara Pelaksanaan Hak Warga Binaan Pemasyarakatan, Keputusan Menteri Hukum dan HAM Nomor M.HH-03.OT.02.02 Tahun 2014 Tentang Pedoman Perlakuan Anak di Balai Pemasyarakatan (BAPAS), Lembaga Penempatan Anak Sementara (LPAS), Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak (LPKA) di Lingkungan Kementrian Hukum dan HAM , telah terimplementasi di LAPAS Kelas 2 Maros. (2) Faktor Penghambat Dan Pendukung Terjaminnya Pemenuhan Hak Pendidikan Yang Layak Bagi Anak Didik Pemasyarakatan di LPKA Kelas II Maros, yaitu faktor penghambat berupa kurangnya tenaga pendidik, kurangnya dukungan orang tua, pihak sekolah tidak kooperatif, minimnya minat atau atusias anak didik pemasyarakatan. Sedangkan faktor pendukung berupa kolaborasi dengan pihak eksternal serta sarana dan prasarana.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the business development strategy of the Muhajir furniture industry in Rumaju Village, Bajo District, Luwu Regency. Established in 2016, this company faces tight competition and limited innovation and marketing. Informants in this study include the owner of the Muhajir furniture industry, production employees, and customers. This study uses a qualitative research method with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews using questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is SWOT with the Competitive Positioning Analysis approach. The results of this study indicate that strengths such as having various adequate production machines so that they can produce quality products and can facilitate production, but some weaknesses include dependence on wood suppliers as raw materials and lack of online infrastructure. The opportunities for this furniture business include market expansion, which can open up opportunities to reach more consumers, thus increasing furniture sales. Threats include competition with other furniture industries serving the same segment in the Luwu and Palopo regions, as well as machine breakdowns that could hamper production. Through SWOT analysis, development strategies such as digital marketing, product diversification, and risk management are formulated to increase competitiveness and sustainable growth.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan pelatihan literasi dan etika digital bagi masyarakat agar mampu menggunakan teknologi secara bertanggung jawab pada era Society 5.0. Program pelatihan dirancang untuk membantu peserta memahami risiko, peluang, serta tata cara mengelola aktivitas digital secara aman. Pelatihan dilakukan melalui asesmen awal, workshop interaktif, praktik simulatif, dan pendampingan lanjutan. Hasil awal menunjukkan bahwa sebagian peserta belum memahami keamanan akun digital, pengelolaan privasi, serta cara mengidentifikasi informasi kredibel. Kondisi tersebut dipetakan melalui pre-test yang menjadi acuan dalam pemberian materi pelatihan. Selama kegiatan berlangsung peserta mengikuti sesi pemaparan konsep literasi digital, praktik mengatur keamanan akun, serta menganalisis keaslian informasi sebelum membagikan kembali kepada orang lain. Hasil post-test memperlihatkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta terutama dalam mengenali fitur keamanan digital, menghindari penyebaran informasi meragukan, serta menyusun unggahan berbasis etika bahasa. Pendampingan pascapelatihan membantu peserta menerapkan keterampilan yang diperoleh dalam aktivitas digital harian. Program ini menggambarkan adanya perubahan perilaku digital peserta dari sekadar sebagai pengguna teknologi menjadi individu yang lebih selektif, reflektif, dan bertanggung jawab dalam berinteraksi di ruang digital. Pelatihan memberikan manfaat dalam penguatan literasi digital melalui pembelajaran terstruktur serta pengalaman praktik langsung sehingga peserta mampu memanfaatkan teknologi secara aman dan etis.

Abstract

Developing superior human resources through higher education is crucial for national progress. However, interest in pursuing higher education in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), particularly Central Lombok, remains a challenge that requires empirical study. This study aims to examine the impact of social support on interest in pursuing higher education, as well as the mediating role of self-efficacy in this relationship. This quantitative study, using a survey approach, involved 100 active university students in Central Lombok Regency as a sample, selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling - Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results showed that social support had a positive and significant effect on interest in pursuing higher education and self-efficacy. A key finding was that self-efficacy fully mediated the effect of social support on interest in pursuing higher education (R2 = 60.9%). Theoretically, this indicates that social support must first be internalized into self-efficacy to effectively increase interest. Policy implications highlight the importance of intervention programs that not only provide social support, but also strategically focus on strengthening individual self-efficacy to encourage higher education participation in the region.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memainkan peran penting dalam perekonomian daerah, namun sering terhambat oleh rendahnya inovasi dan keterbatasan pemanfaatan strategi digital. Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh entrepreneurial mindset, inovasi usaha, dan Social Media Marketing terhadap pertumbuhan omzet UMKM kuliner di Kecamatan Bontoala, Kota Makassar, dengan daya saing sebagai variabel mediasi. Pendekatan penelitian bersifat kuantitatif eksplanatori; sampel terdiri dari 223 pelaku UMKM kuliner, dan analisis dilakukan menggunakan Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) melalui perangkat SmartPLS 4.0. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ketiga variabel independent entrepreneurial mindset, inovasi usaha, dan Social Media Marketing memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap daya saing dan langsung terhadap pertumbuhan omzet. Selain itu, daya saing terbukti memediasi hubungan antara ketiga variabel tersebut dan pertumbuhan omzet, yang menegaskan peran keunggulan kompetitif sebagai saluran penting untuk mengubah kapasitas internal menjadi hasil finansial berkelanjutan. Temuan ini memperkaya literatur tentang orientasi kewirausahaan dengan mengintegrasikan aspek pola pikir kewirausahaan, inovasi kontekstual, dan pemasaran digital dalam satu model komprehensif, serta memberikan implikasi praktis bagi pengembangan strategi peningkatan daya saing dan omzet UMKM kuliner di era digital.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of gamification in Pancasila Education at the senior high school level within a resource-constrained learning environment. It aims to analyze the design and implementation of gamification, identify challenges encountered during its application, and formulate optimization strategies to enhance student engagement and participation. Using a qualitative descriptive case study approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis involving one Pancasila Education teacher and eight eleventh-grade students at a public senior high school in West Sinjai Regency. Data were analyzed using an interactive thematic analysis model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that gamification was implemented through structured stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation, incorporating game elements such as points, levels, challenges, badges, and leaderboards via digital platforms including Kahoot, ZepQuiz, Wordwall, and Bamboozle. The application of gamification enhanced student engagement across behavioral, emotional, cognitive, and social dimensions. However, several challenges emerged, including unstable internet connectivity, limited digital devices, uneven student digital literacy, and learner anxiety related to individual competition. To address these issues, teachers adapted instructional designs by employing group-based leaderboards, hybrid online–offline learning activities, and peer-assisted learning strategies. This study demonstrates that gamification can serve as an effective pedagogical approach in Pancasila Education when supported by adaptive instructional design and contextual sensitivity. The originality of this research lies in its evidence that gamification can be meaningfully implemented in value-based subjects within digitally limited school contexts.
