Abstract

This study aims to describe how Sipakalebbi serves as an intercultural communication model in fostering cultural acculturation between the Bugis and Konjo ethnic communities. This research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing intercultural communication perspectives. Data collection methods include observation and in-depth interviews. The data processing and analysis techniques involve three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results reveal that the Bugis and Konjo ethnic communities build their relationships with a high level of Sipakalebbi attitude in fostering cultural acculturation. This intercultural communication model of Sipakalebbi is supported by a strong sense of kinship between the two ethnic groups. Driven by three local principles, namely sipakatau (mutual respect), siammasei (mutual love), and siasseajingeng (brotherhood), it can be ensured that the Bugis and Konjo ethnic communities will not encounter difficulties or obstacles in fostering cultural acculturation between them.

Abstract

Communication style is sometimes more important than the content of the communication. In the context of a country, a president needs to develop a communication style that suits his personality character in order to contribute to the effectiveness of his government. This study aims to describe the communication styles of three presidential candidates—Anies Baswedan, Ganjar Pranowo, and Prabowo Subianto, and to relate them to the tendencies of each individual's personality type. The method used is analyzing documents of news (from Detik.com, Kompas.com and Republika.go.id) with news samples in December 2023-January 2024 highlighting news items that contain the meaning of communication style. The results show that Anies Baswedan's communication style tends to be Argumentative and Precise, Ganjar Pranowo tends to be Open and Impression leaving, while Prabowo Subianto's communication style tends to be Dominant. Based on the tendency of this communication style, Anies Baswedan's personality tends to reflect the Sanguine type, Ganjar Pranowo tends to be Phlegmatic, while Prabowo Subianto tends to be the Choleric type.

Abstract

This study explores the role of collaborative leadership in enhancing the effectiveness of education delivery through school planning and management. Using a systematic literature review with a narrative approach, eight peer-reviewed articles from Google Scholar and SINTA were analyzed. Findings reveal that collaborative leadership fosters participatory, transparent, and student-centered planning processes. Principals, as collaborative leaders, actively engage teachers, staff, and stakeholders in joint decision-making, which strengthens ownership, shared responsibility, and the overall quality of educational services. Key challenges identified include ineffective communication, resistance to change, and limited managerial competence. The study underscores that open, inclusive, and reflective leadership enables schools to adapt planning strategies to evolving challenges and community needs. From a management perspective, the findings highlight that collaborative leadership not only improves operational efficiency but also builds organizational resilience, strengthens stakeholder trust, and promotes sustainable institutional growth. These insights have broader implications for educational management, suggesting that leadership development programs should integrate collaborative competencies as a core component. By embedding collaboration into school planning, educational institutions can create dynamic, responsive, and high-performing learning environments.

Abstract

The training services industry in Indonesia, especially in the city of Batam, is growing rapidly. PT Bina Cipta Indokarya is a K3 training service company that has only been established for less than five years. However, in the midst of this young company's journey, a significant challenge arose, especially in terms of internal communication among its employees. PT Bina Cipta Indokarya faces challenges in maintaining smooth interpersonal communication between employees. This is crucial because ineffective communication can directly affect productivity and coordination between employees. The purpose of this study is to look at organizational communication strategies that can improve interpersonal communication at PT Bina Cipta Indokarya. The method used is qualitative, using a descriptive approach based on Snowball Sampling. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and participant observation. The results showed that the company uses four communication approaches: (1) direct communication between superiors and subordinates (simple control), (2) use of communication technology (technical control), (3) structure of formal procedures (bureaucratic control), and (4) development of a mutually supportive communication culture (concertive control). This study confirms the importance of openness, empathy, and emotional support in corporate culture for improving the effectiveness of interpersonal communication.

Abstract

Hoaxes have become a serious issue in the digital era, especially among new internet users who often lack digital literacy. This study aims to analyze the anti-hoax digital campaign strategy implemented by the Tular Nalar-MAFINDO Program in Batam City. The campaign responds to the increasing spread of false information, particularly among the elderly and students. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the campaign strategy was built on clear audience segmentation, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and media selection tailored to target characteristics. The program consists of two main segments: Akademi Digital Lansia (ADL) and Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK), each applying specific communication approaches. Elderly participants responded better to conventional media such as booklets and leaflets, while students were more effectively reached through digital platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp. Evaluation using pre-tests, post-tests, and behavioral observation showed increased awareness and ability to identify hoaxes. The study concludes that a community-based, participatory, and digitally integrated approach can strengthen public resilience against disinformation. The results are expected to serve as a reference for future digital literacy programs in Indonesia

Abstract

The Influence of Family Support on Interest in Learning Religious Studies at MTs Muhammadiyah Salomekko, Bone Regency. Supervised by Dr. Alamsyah., S.Pd.I., M.H and Rukiana Novianti Putri, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and interest in learning religious studies among students at MTs Muhammadiyah Salomekko, Bone Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational research type. The study population was all 20 students at MTs Muhammadiyah Salomekko. The sampling technique used was total sampling. Data collection was carried out using a family support questionnaire and a questionnaire on interest in learning religious studies. Data analysis used a simple regression correlation test with the help of the SPSS program version 23.0. The results of the study indicate that students' family support is in the moderate category (70%), and their interest in learning religious subjects is also in the moderate category (76.7%). The results of the simple regression correlation test show a calculated r value of -0.060 with a significance of 0.800 (> 0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between family support and students' interest in learning religious subjects at MTs Muhammadiyah Salomekko, Bone Regency. The implications of this study indicate that increasing interest in learning religious subjects is not enough to rely only on family support, but requires the active role of teachers, schools, peer environments, and internal factors of the students themselves
