Abstract

Communication style is sometimes more important than the content of the communication. In the context of a country, a president needs to develop a communication style that suits his personality character in order to contribute to the effectiveness of his government. This study aims to describe the communication styles of three presidential candidates—Anies Baswedan, Ganjar Pranowo, and Prabowo Subianto, and to relate them to the tendencies of each individual's personality type. The method used is analyzing documents of news (from Detik.com, Kompas.com and Republika.go.id) with news samples in December 2023-January 2024 highlighting news items that contain the meaning of communication style. The results show that Anies Baswedan's communication style tends to be Argumentative and Precise, Ganjar Pranowo tends to be Open and Impression leaving, while Prabowo Subianto's communication style tends to be Dominant. Based on the tendency of this communication style, Anies Baswedan's personality tends to reflect the Sanguine type, Ganjar Pranowo tends to be Phlegmatic, while Prabowo Subianto tends to be the Choleric type.

Abstract

This study explores the role of collaborative leadership in enhancing the effectiveness of education delivery through school planning and management. Using a systematic literature review with a narrative approach, eight peer-reviewed articles from Google Scholar and SINTA were analyzed. Findings reveal that collaborative leadership fosters participatory, transparent, and student-centered planning processes. Principals, as collaborative leaders, actively engage teachers, staff, and stakeholders in joint decision-making, which strengthens ownership, shared responsibility, and the overall quality of educational services. Key challenges identified include ineffective communication, resistance to change, and limited managerial competence. The study underscores that open, inclusive, and reflective leadership enables schools to adapt planning strategies to evolving challenges and community needs. From a management perspective, the findings highlight that collaborative leadership not only improves operational efficiency but also builds organizational resilience, strengthens stakeholder trust, and promotes sustainable institutional growth. These insights have broader implications for educational management, suggesting that leadership development programs should integrate collaborative competencies as a core component. By embedding collaboration into school planning, educational institutions can create dynamic, responsive, and high-performing learning environments.

Abstract

Climate change has significant impact on fishing communities. The decline in fishermen's catches affects economic and psychological welfare. A traditional group that is able to maintain its existence as fishermen is the Bajo tribe in East Tanete Riattang District, Bajoe Village, Bone Regency. This research aims to describe survival strategy by Bajo fishermen in climate change, identify challenges in implementing strategy, and describe the influence of strategies on conditions in achieving psychological welfare. The research uses qualitative phenomenological approach method. Data was obtained from observations and interviews. Research results show that Bajo fishermen apply active, passive, and network strategy to fulfill economic needs. In implementing these efforts, fishermen face challenges of technical problems, decreased catch quality, and incompatibility with government programs. Nevertheless, the strategies have had a positive impact on economic prosperity and also positive impact on the psychological well-being of Bajo tribe fishermen, which are indicated by six aspects.

Abstract

This research investigates the construction of religious messages and the efficacy of cultural preaching (da’wah) within the Pepe’-pepeka ri Makka (Fire in Mecca) dance tradition in Paropo Village, Makassar. While traditionally viewed as a cultural spectacle, this dance functions as a sophisticated medium for Islamic proselytization. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, this study utilizes Charles Sanders Peirce’s semiotic framework—comprising signs, objects, and interpretants—to analyze the ritual’s poetry and choreography. Data were collected through participatory observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews with key informants, including traditional maestros and religious figures. The findings reveal that the dance is a complex symbolic system representing core Islamic tenets, specifically Tawhid (monotheism), angelic hierarchies, and Thaharah (ritual purification). The fire serves as a potent index of divine light (Nur) and a symbol of spiritual resilience, echoing the miracle of Prophet Abraham. However, the analysis through the Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) model indicates a significant gap in public reception. While the performance elicits strong affective responses, such as awe and emotional engagement, the cognitive and behavioral impacts remain limited. This disconnect is attributed to linguistic barriers in the classical Makassarese poetry and the lack of explicit narrative interpretation. The study concludes that for cultural da’wah to achieve its transformative potential, "intersemiotic translation" is required to bridge the gap between traditional symbolism and contemporary public understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the interconnected roles of mentoring, coaching, modeling, and supervision in supporting personal and professional development. A systematic literature review was conducted, sourcing 29 articles to clarify definitions, roles, and distinctions among these frameworks. Through mentoring, individuals gain structured guidance; coaching fosters self-discovery; modeling provides behavioral examples; and supervision ensures adherence to ethical standards. The results reveal unique and overlapping functions of these roles, especially emphasizing coaching supervision’s value in maintaining quality and ethical practices. This study’s novelty lies in its comprehensive integration of these concepts within a single framework, highlighting synergies that enhance developmental outcomes. Consequently, this work contributes to the field by offering a holistic approach for practitioners to optimize human potential across educational and professional contexts.

Abstract

This study analyzes the contribution of Digital Instructional Leadership (DIL) and Distributed Leadership (DL) in improving teacher performance through the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach in the context of Indonesian value education. The research uses a qualitative method with data collection through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and focused group discussions. The study found that the implementation of DIL facilitates the integration of digital technology in the learning process, while DL encourages effective collaboration between teachers. Coaching Supervision based on the Ki Hadjar Dewantara Education Trilogy is a key element that mediates the effective implementation of PjBL. However, this study also identifies challenges such as resistance to change, limited technological facilities, and lack of technological competence of teachers. As a solution, it is recommended to strengthen technology training, collaboration between teachers, and intensive supervision support. This research emphasizes the importance of synergy between DIL, DL, and PjBL in creating meaningful learning that instills national values.

Abstract

Swamp forage has the potential as an alternative feed for ruminants. This study aimed  to evaluate the chemical quality of Guinea grass (Panicum maximum) based rations through a combination of different types of swamp forage. This research was conducted for 3 months at the Animal Feed Nutrition Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments consisted of R0 (70% Guinea grass + 30% Concentrate), R1 (40% Guinea grass + 30% water mimosa + 30% Concentrate), R2 (40% Guinea grass + 30% giant molesta + 30% Concentrate), R3 (40% Guinea grass + 30% water chestnut + 30% Concentrate). The variables observed were dry matter (DM), organic matter (OM), crude protein (CP), crude fiber (CF), extract ether (EE), tannin and saponins. The results showed that the treatment had a significant effect (P < 0.05) on the content of DM, OM, CP, CF, Tannins and Saponins, while the extract ether content had no significant effect (P > 0.05). Furthermore, highest DM (82.45%), OM (76.96%) and CP (16.35% were obtained in R1, CF (22.34%) in R0. Tannin best concentration (1.09%) in R3 and saponins (2.16%) in R1. The conclusion of this study showed that the combination of 40% Guinea grass + 30% water mimosa + 30% concentrate could improve the chemical quality of the ration.

Abstract

The process of the new commissioner election and the amendment to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) received public attention due to the controversial agenda and arguably had weakened the KPK. The purpose of this study is to describe the discourse of Kompas.com, CNN Indonesia, and Republika.co.id regarding corruption after the amendment of the KPK law using Teun Van Dijk's critical discourse method and news text analysis unit from 21 December 2019-29 February 2020. The results found that at the level of macro structure, superstructure, and micro structure, the three online media discourse advocacy and support for the KPK and criticism of Joko Widodo's government in detail, systematically, and with minimal lexicons and metaphors, and represent public aspirations for the KPK as an independent institution in eradicating corruption. The results on the macro, superstructure, and micro-level showed that Kompas.com established defense and support discourse to the Commission to Eradicate Criminal Acts of Corruption through detailed, systematic reporting, without lexicons and metaphors. Contrastingly, CNN Indonesia emphasized on the facts of real actions taken by the Corruption Eradication Commission in combating corruption and the amount of losses. Moreover, Republika.co.id emphasized on the weakness in the revised law of the KPK and reinforces its hypothesis of the news with the proper metaphor.

Abstract

Perkembangan ekonomi digital membuka peluang besar bagi mahasiswa untuk memperoleh pendapatan pasif melalui bisnis berbasis teknologi, salah satunya adalah affiliate marketing. Namun, potensi ini terhambat oleh minimnya literasi digital dan keterampilan optimalisasi media sosial. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, kegiatan Workshop Optimalisasi Media Sosial untuk Affiliate Marketing dilaksanakan sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kewirausahaan digital mahasiswa. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital, melatih keterampilan affiliate marketing mulai dari pembuatan konten hingga monetisasi, serta menciptakan peluang wirausaha digital berkelanjutan. Pelatihan dilaksanakan secara interaktif dan praktis, mencakup pembuatan akun afiliasi, optimasi media sosial yang dimiliki setiap peserta dan produksi konten video. Pendampingan pasca-workshop juga tetap dilakukan untuk memastikan implementasi keterampilan yang diperoleh sehingga melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan mampu meningkatkan keterampilan kewirausahaan digital mahasiswa. Hasil keterampilan tersebut dapat dibuktikan dengan aktifnya akun media sosial, khususnya shopee affiliate yang bisa dimanfaatkan oleh peserta sebagai upaya meningkatkan passive income dan mendorong terciptanya wirausaha mandiri berbasis teknologi berkelanjutan.
