Abstract

Anthracnose is one of the main diseases in chili plants that causes a decrease in the quality and quantity of the harvest. This study aims to identify anthracnose disease in red chili (Capsicum annuum) and cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens) in Agrowisata Village, West Rumbai District. Observations were made through observation of symptoms in the field, pathogen isolation, and identification of colony and conidia morphology. The results of the observations showed the presence of typical anthracnose symptoms in the form of circular necrotic spots, dark sunken lesions, and rot on the fruit. Pathogen isolation on PDA media showed variations in colony color in both isolate sources, namely gray and peach in red chili and white and gray in cayenne pepper. Microscopic observations showed cylindrical conidia with both ends fusiform, according to the characteristics of Colletotrichum acutatum. Thus, it can be concluded that anthracnose disease in both types of chili is caused by C. acutatum. These findings are expected to be the basis for developing a more effective and sustainable disease control strategy for chili cultivation in the region.

Abstract

This study aimed to find how Essay Writing class Students at Universitas Negeri Padang's attitudes towards the implementation of collaborative brainstorming as a pre-writing activity. This study employed a quantitative method to collect data and was a descriptive study using a 4-point Likert scale questionnaire with 22 statements: 1 (strongly disagree), 2 (disagree), 3 (neutral), 4 (agree), and 5 (strongly agree). The sample included 28 students who had experienced a collaborative brainstorming activity in their essay writing class. The findings indicate that students generally hold a positive attitude toward the activity. The highest mean score was in the "Negotiated Decision-Making" and “Share Responsibility” indicator (3.30), categorized as very positive. The "Shared Decision-Making" (3.29). Overall, the results suggest that students view collaborative brainstorming activity as a beneficial and effective pre-writing stage.

Abstract

This tree-planting activity was conducted in response to increasing environmental degradation and the decline of green open spaces caused by rapid development and unsustainable exploitation of natural resources. The activity took place on 27 September 2025 at the Education and Training Center Area of Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, Bollangi, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, with the aim of transforming underutilized land into a productive green area with both ecological and economic value. The implementation consisted of two stages: preparation and planting of 200 fruit tree seedlings, including durian, soursop, jackfruit, and crystal guava. The results show that all seedlings were successfully planted in locations appropriate for soil conditions and sunlight exposure, supported by active participation from the participants throughout all stages. The activity not only contributed to increasing green coverage but also enhanced participants’ understanding and environmental awareness through brief training and education. Ecologically, the fruit trees planted have the potential to support carbon absorption, improve air quality, strengthen soil stability, and promote biodiversity. Economically, these trees hold promising value as future sources of marketable fruits and local food diversification. Therefore, this tree-planting initiative can be considered a long-term environmental and economic investment aligned with the principles of sustainable development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of village apparatus performance on the improvement of digital-based public services in Abbokongang Village, Kulo District. The low quality of digital services, limited technological competence of village officials, and minimal assistance provided to the community constitute the background of this study. This research employs a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The respondents consisted of 52 residents of Abbokongang Village selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and interviews, while data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics 26. The results indicate that the performance of village apparatus has a significant effect on digital-based public services, as evidenced by an F-value of 165.275 and a significance level of 0.000. The coefficient of determination of 0.768 indicates that the performance of village apparatus contributes 76.8% to the improvement of digital-based public services.

Abstract

Kenaikan harga cabai menjadi salah satu faktor pendorong inflasi bahan makanan, di mana fluktuasi harga cabai rawit sangat dipengaruhi oleh tingkat produksinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan meramalkan produksi cabai rawit di Kabupaten Sigi agar lonjakan harga akibat keterbatasan pasokan dapat diminimalisasi. Data yang digunakan berupa deret waktu produksi cabai rawit 2015–2024 dari BPS serta data primer melalui wawancara dengan petani, penyuluh, dan instansi terkait. Analisis dilakukan dengan metode Single Moving Average dan Single Exponential Smoothing menggunakan indikator kesalahan MAE dan MSE. Hasil menunjukkan metode Moving Average 3 periode menghasilkan error terendah (MAE 1.092; MSE 2.210.836), sedangkan pada metode Single Exponential Smoothing nilai α = 0,1 paling optimal (MAE 865; MSE 1.436.064). Peramalan produksi tahun 2025–2027 diprediksi sebesar 2.941,12 ton, 2.997,48 ton, dan 3.043,69 ton. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya dukungan program peningkatan produksi melalui bantuan sarana pertanian, pendampingan petani, serta gerakan Pekarangan Pangan Lestari (P2L) demi meningkatkan produksi cabai rawit.

Abstract

Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, permintaan akan tenaga perawat meningkat di seluruh dunia. Sementara itu, WHO memperkirakan pada tahun 2030 secara global jumlah tenaga perawat akan menurun sekitar 15 juta orang. Hal ini berbanding terbalik dengan jumlah perawat di Indonesia yang ‘surplus’ dengan produksi lulusan lebih dari 60.000 pertahun. Fenomena ini tentu seharusnya menjadi peluang bagi perawat Indonesia untuk terus meningkatkan kompetensinya agar terserap di dunia kerja global, khususnya bagi lulusan prodi Keperawatan Universitas Negeri Padang. Sayangnya, saat ini belum banyak perawat lokal yang mengisi lowongan tersebut dikarenakan keterbatasan keahlian dan kemampuan bahasa asing seperti bahasa Inggris. Maka dari itu, pelatihan untuk mengasah kemampuan bahasa Inggris aktif sangat diperlukan. Terdapat kendala dalam belajar bahasa Inggris bagi mahasiswa keperawatan seperti ketidakpercayaan diri, kecemasan berbicara, dan rendahnya keinginan membaca. Sementara faktor eksternal adalah jarangnya interaksi langsung, materi fokus pada tata bahasa, kurang kosakata, dan keterbatasan staf pengajar. Kendala ini bisa diatasi dengan penerpan model community language learning berbasis English for Specific Purposes (ESP).

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the Discovery Learning learning model on students' problem solving abilities in class IV science and science subjects at SD Inpres Samata, Gowa Regency. This type of research is quasi-experimental research with a nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class, each with 27 students, so the total sample was 54 students. The sampling technique uses total sampling. Data collection techniques are carried out through tests, observation and documentation. The instruments used were problem solving ability tests and observation sheets. Data analysis techniques include descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and Independent Sample T-Test. The results of the research show that the average pretest score in the experimental class is 50.89 and the control class is 51.70 which is in the low category. After being given treatment, the average posttest score for the experimental class increased to 77.78, while the control class became 73.67. The results of the hypothesis test show a significance value of 0.004 which is smaller than 0.05, so that H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Discovery Learning learning model has a significant effect on students' problem solving abilities in class IV science and science subjects at SD Inpres Samata, Gowa Regency.

Abstract

The suboptimal use of interactive media in science education at SDN 2 Sigerongan has led to students being less engaged in the learning process. This study aims to develop an interactive student worksheet based on Liveworksheets for the fifth-grade IPAS subject at SDN 2 Sigerongan that is valid and practical for use in learning. This research employed the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of this study were 24 fifth-grade students of SDN 2 Sigerongan. The instruments used included validation questionnaires for media and material experts, as well as response questionnaires for teachers and students. The results showed that the interactive LKPD based on Liveworksheets obtained a validity percentage of 91% from media experts (very valid) and 91% from material experts (very valid), with an overall average of 91% (very valid). The practicality test results indicated that the teacher response reached 92%  while student responses in individual, small group, and large group trials were 91,33%, 91,67%, and 91,87%, respectively, all categorized as very practical. Therefore, the developed Liveworksheets-based interactive LKPD is considered valid and highly practical, making it suitable for use as a learning medium in elementary school IPAS subjects.
