Abstract

Background: In Pati District KTD cases in adolescents aged <17 years as much as 43.8%, which affectsthe marriage at an early age is increasing. This research aims to describe the response of parents and teens junior who experience unwanted pregnancy, and the effects of marriage at an early age.Method: This research method was qualitative case study design. With a purposive sampling and data collection using in-depth interviews. The main informants were adolescent who experienced unwanted pregnancy 5 people. Informants triangulation parents 5 people.Results: The results showed the phenomenon of early marriage makes parents and teens are not afraid of an unwanted pregnancy, as a result people who previously regarded premarital sex behavior that violates norms, are now more likely to be accepted by society. Parents and teenagers who live rural areas provide a response to resolve the problem by marrying unwanted pregnancy informant. While living urban areas, asking informants to have an abortion, but after failing informant eventually wed. Marriage was a solution unwanted pregnancy experienced by adolescents because of the permissive society towards marriage early age and culture in the community who think if the domestic sector only female duties, so that the nature of women is to be a housewife. Suggested provide information to adolescents and parents about the effects of early marriage. The government particularly Health Provider can further provide youthfriendly health services since the junior level.Keywords: unwanted pregnancy, early marriage, adolescents of junior high school

Abstract

ABSTRAKBerdasarkan SKRT-surkesnas 2001 menunjukkan bahwa prevalensi karies gigi dan mulut adalah 10 (sepuluh) kelompok terbanyak yang dikeluhkan masyarakat. Peneltian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor – faktor yang mempengaruhi ketrampilan perawat gigi dalam melaksanakan kegiatan promosi dan prevensi kesehatan gigi dan mulut di Kota Kupang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode explanatory study dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara dan observasi dengan jumlah sampel 31 orang parawat gigi.Ketrampilan perawat gigi dalam melaksanakan kegiatan promosi dan prevensi kesehatan gigi dan mulut termasuk kategori kurang (77.4 %), sedangkan yang baik hanya 22.6 %. Variabel yang berhubungan langsung dengan ketrampilan perawat gigi adalah tingkat pendidikan, masa kerja, pengetahuan dan konsultasi dan pembimbing. Variabel yang paling berpengaruh terhadap ketrampilan perawat gigi adalah tingkat pendidikan perawat gigi.Kata Kunci : ketrampilan perawat gigi, kegiatan promosi dan prevensi, kesehatan gigi dan mulut.ABSTRACTThe Dental Nurses’s Skill In Conducting Promotion And Prevention Of Oral Health In Kupang City;Based on the 2001 Household Health Survey-SURKESNAS, dental and oral disease is the high prevalence rate abaout 60% from the 10 groups of people complained of most diseases. It’s necessary for dental nurses who have good skills in carrying out these activities. This study aims to determine factor-factor that affects dental nurses skills in conducting promotional activities and prevention of oral health in the Kupang City. This study uses explanatory method with cross sectional approach. Data collection by interviews and observations with number of samples of the 31 dental nurses. Skills of dental nurses in carrying out promotion activities and prevention of oral health including less categories (77.4%) and only 22.6% is good categories. The variable that most affect to skill level of dental nurse is the education of dental nurse.Keywords: dental nurse skills, promotion and prevention, oral health.

Abstract

Information and Counseling Center for Reproductive Health Youth (PIK KKR) Adolescent Care and Health Services (PKPR) are not fully utilized by adolescents. This study aimed to find out the description of adolescent reproductive health service utilization in Batang Regency. Data were collected through Focus Group Discussion and in-depth interviews involving 42 people in FGD and 12 insider in-depth interview. Utilization of reproductive health services is still low rod. Most teens have not learned of adolescent reproductive health services in Batang. Some teens perceive the existing services are not innovative, boring and not attractive because the use of inappropriate delivery of media, youth service officer for the clinic is not friendly, discriminate-distinguish and not concern for teenagers. Adolescent reproductive health services needed by adolescents is a service which is located in strategic places, special places, the official collaborationbetween physicians, psychologists, substitute teachers, adolescent, with care official, could keep a secret, do not discriminate and competent. The case of unwanted pregnancy requires special services for psychological therapy and involves active participation of service personnel to conduct home visits.

Abstract

Di Kabupaten Magelang kasus HIV positif pada remaja mulai muncul tahun 2008 dan selalu muncul pada tahun berikutnya, demikian juga untuk perkawinan dibawah umur pada tahun 2011 meningkat 3x lipat dari 2009 yang mayoritas disebabkan kehamilan tidak diinginkan. Remaja sangat membutuhkan informasi mengenai seksualitas dan ibu sangatlah penting. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku ibu dalam memberikan pendidikan seksualitas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juni s.d. Juli tahun 2012. Sampel sebanyak 92 ibu yang memiliki anak remaja berusia 10-14 tahun dan tergabung dalam BKR Percontohan di Kabupaten Magelang yang dipilih secara cluster sampling. Pengumpulan data dengan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data meliputi univariat, bivariat dan multivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hanya 44,6% ibu yang berperilaku baik dalam memberikan pendidikan seksualitas. Ada hubungan antara pendidikan ibu (p=0.001), keikutsertaan ibu dalam organisasi kemasyarakatan (p=0.001), tingkat pengetahuan ibu tentang KRR (p=0.000), tingkat pengetahuan ibu tentang pendidikan seksualitas (p=0.000), persepsi ibu akan kemampuan dirinya dalam memberikan pendidikan seksualitas (p=0.000), sikap ibu mengenai pendidikan seksualitas (p=0.002) dengan perilaku ibu dalam memberikan pendidikan seksualitas. Sedangkan variabel yang paling berpengaruh adalah persepsi ibu akan kemampuan dirinya dalam pendidikan seksualitas (p=0.001, OR=6.72).Kata kunci: perilaku, ibu, pendidikan seksualitasABSTRACTIn Magelang HIV positive cases in adolescents began to emerge in 2008 and always comes up in the next year, also in 2011 the marriage under age 3x increase from 2009, the majority due to unwanted pregnancies. This type of research is an analytic correlational with cross sectional approach. This research due on June-Juli 2012. Sample of 92 mothers of adolescents aged 10-14 years belonging to the BKR Pilot Magelang selected by cluster sampling. Data collection by interview using a questionnaire. Data analysis includes univariate, bivariate and multivariate analyzes. The results showed only 44.6% of mothers who behaved well in giving sexuality education. There are relationship between mother’s education (p=0.001), the participation of mother in society organizations (p=0.001), mother’s level of knowledge about the ARH (p=0.000), mother’s level of knowledge about sexuality education (p=0.000), mother’s perception of her ability to provide sexuality education (p=0.000), mother’s attitudes toward sexuality education (p=0.002) and mother’s behavior in providing sexuality education. While from the above variables are most influential is mother’s perception of the ability in giving sexuality education (p=0.001, OR=6.72).Keywords: behavior, mother, sexuality education

Abstract

ABSTRAKWPSTL termasuk dalam kelompok resiko tinggi dalam penyebaran kasus IMS dan HIV&AIDS karena pekerjaan mereka yang terselubung. Survei STBP 2011 dan Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan kondom pada WPSTL masih sangat rendah di Indonesia. Di Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah dukungan manager terhadap praktik penggunaan kondom pada WPSTL dalam upaya pencegahan IMS dan HIV/AIDS di Kota Ambon. Metode penelitian ini adalah Explanatory Research dengan pendekatan Cross sectional Study. Metode pengambilan sampel adalah Simple random sampling sebanyak 100 WPSTL. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner. Data dianalisis secara univariat, bivariat dan multivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden (61%) tidak konsisten dalam praktik penggunaan kondom selama 1 bulan terakhir. Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan dukungan manager memiliki hubungan yang siginifikan dengan praktik penggunaan kondom. Analisis multivariat dukungan manager paling berpengaruh terhadap praktik penggunaan kondom dimana WPSTl yang mendapat dukungan dari manager kemungkinan 4,8 kali lebih besar untuk melakukan praktik penggunaan kondom yang konsisten dibandingkan WPSTL yang tidak mendapat dukungan manager. Perlu pembinaan bagi pihak manajemen tempat hiburan dalam mendukung program penanggulangan IMS dan HIV/IDS.Kata kunci : Praktik Penggunaan Kondom, Wanita Pekerja Seks Tidak Langsung, Dukungan ManagerABSTRACTKaraoke Manager Role Against Condom Use Practices for Prevention of STI and HIV/AIDS in Ambon; Indirect sex worker is a part of high risk group in the case of the spread of STIs and HIV & AIDS because their jobs are covert. IBBS Survey 2011 and Research indicates that the use of condoms on indirect sex worker still very low in Indonesia. On the purpose of this study is to support the practice manager at indirect sex worker condom use in preventing STIs and HIV / AIDS in in Ambon City. This research method is explanatory research with cross sectional approach. The sampling method is simple random sampling 100 indirect sex workers. Data collection instrument in the from questionnaires. The data were analyzed by univariate, bivariateand multivariate. The results showed that majority respondent (61%) inconsistent condom use in practice during the last 1 month. Bivariate analysis shows that support from manager are related with practice of using condom. multivariate analysis support manager most influence on the practice of condom use where indirect sex worker who has the support of the managerlikely 4.8 times more likely to practice consistent condom use compared indirect sex worker who do not have the support manager. Abstract

Background : Indonesian young people have been facing significant challenges to their health and well-being. This situation has causing an increased vulnerability to health hazards of various kinds, specially related to reproductive and sexual health, including the growing threat of HIV/AIDS. These adolescent health issues, most of which are preventable, can lead to significant morbidity and mortality.Method : This paper reports on findings from a recent study, which seeks to identify predictor factors of youth sexual behaviour and their need for services, in order to derive practical policy for enhancing youth sexual and reproductive health services. Involving a total 2000 sample derived from youth population aged 18-24 years old. 1000 samples were each randomly selected from factory employers and university students.Result : The findings show that the overall pattern of sexual and reproductive youth health risk is relatively low in comparison to that in many other countries, this is partly related to distinctive and positive characteristics of the culture of Central Java. The findings also showthat Self-efficacy is the strongest predictor of youth sexual behaviour.This study recommends that future policy and program should address how to protect oneself if engaging in sex, rather than only focusing on how to abstain from sex. Such policies and program development should be addressed to the ways to maintaining young people’s positivenorms and values in line with existing culture and religion by enhancing their self efficacy and life-skill through school-based sexual and reproductive health education and services.Keywords : Health services, reproductive and sexual health, sexual behaviour, javaneseyouth.

Abstract

ABSTRACTEffect of Perceived Knowledge and Behavior Control Of Intention Men having sex with Men (MSM) For Doing VCT In Madiun; MSM realize that risky sexual behavior that they do so may cause transmission of HIV and AIDS, but there is a dilemma that prevents them from doing VCT. This study was conducted to determine the effect of knowledge and perceived behavioral control on intention MSM for VCT. This research is survey explanatory research with cross sectional approach with a large sample of 170 LSL. Bivariate analysis using chi square test and multivariate analysis using logistic regression. The results showed that 53.53% of respondents have the intention to do VCT. Results of bivariate test variables associated with intention MSM VCT is perceived behavior control of the VCT and MSM knowledge about HIV / AIDS and VCT. To improve the intention MSM VCT Madiun district KPA should improve IEC in the MSM community and provide mobile VCT services.Keywords: Men who have sex with men (MSM), the intention VCT, HIV/AIDS

Abstract

Background: Filariasis is chronic infectious disease due to filariasis worm infection which transmitted through mosquitoe bites. There were 241 districts as filariasis endemic districts in Indonesia. More than 50% of the population in endemic areas are potential to contract with this disease. High prevalence of filariasis cases, can cause the increasing mortality cases if the disease did not treat it properly and prevent it early. There were 21 new cases found and three cases of them have died. This study aims to analyze the supporting factors influence to prevention behaviour of filariasis.Method: This study is a quantitative study with a cross sectional design involved 178 respondents as total sampling. The people who live surrounding the filariasis sufferer (≤ 100m) were recruited as a sample. Data collected using face to face interview by standard questionnaire. Data were analyzed using univariate, Chi-square test and multiple logistic regression.Results: The results shows that the support of family, neighbors, and community leaders were not significant associated to the filariasis preventive behavior of respondents (P value> 0.05) while the support of health workers and the exposure of health promotion programs were significant associated the filariasis prevention behavior of the respondents. According to multivariate analysis, exposure on health promotion programs and supporting from health provider influenced the prevention behaviour of respondents with Odds Ratio 11.237 and p value 0.023. The role of health providers in the prevention programs to the community was greatly important to improve knowledge, attitude, and people behaviour to prevent this disease. To reduce disease incidence is needed community empowerment program to improve community participation in preventing disease.Keywords: filariaris, supporting factors, behaviour of preventing filariasis

Abstract

Background: Comfortable workplace is one of the factors supporting morale. The work environment is hot and humid will reduce labor productivity, it will also have negative impacts on health and safety. Warmer temperatures result in lower performance primarily thinking. Decreased ability to think happened after the temperature has exceeded 32 0 C. The temperature within the furnace area of 34.9 0 C, which exceeds the standardized NAV of 30.5 0 C. The purpose of this is to research analyze control of heat stress on the workforce section furnace PT.X Pangkalpinang Bangka Belitung.Method: This study used a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews on 8 key informants, 5 labor section of the production and management 3. Analysis of the data using content analysis.Results: The results showed that all informants reveal the temperature within the furnace hot work area in accordance with the results of temperature measurements in the field at 34.9 0 C exceeds the threshold standardized, control heat stress with training (education or training on heat stress control and controlling the risk of heat stress) is not routinely executed, control with fluid replacement has been provided by the company but the rules and patterns of consumption have not been implemented, control with acclimatization yet implemented in the company.Keywords: heat stress, control, worker

Background : The cumulative case of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) in Indonesia by the year 2007 was reported transmitted mostly through drug injection. We understand that injecting drug users facing a high risk to be infected by HIV / acquired immunodeficiency syndrome from two different source of transmission. First, through needlesharing and second through unsafe sexual intercourse this usually came along the drug use. This study is aimed to analyze factors related to needle sharing practise among injecting drug users in Semarang City.Method : This was an explanatory study, employed a survey method and cross sectional as the research design. Target population in this research was all injecting drug users in Semarang City. There were 75 respondents from 56 minimum sample size required involved in this research, selected by applying snowball sampling technique. Chi – Square analysis and biserial correlation were applied to measure bivariate correlation and logistic regression was used for multivariate analysis.Results : Out of the 75 injecting drug users, 34,7% IDUs experience needle sharing during the last six month. It was found that needle sharing associated with knowledge of HIV/AIDS, perceived barrier of using sterile needle, low self-efficacy, needle exchange program use, availability of sterile needles, voluntary counseling and testing, and peer norms. Needle sharing was also associated with frequency of IDUs met outreach worker, but not associated with perceived susceptibility of HIV, perceived severity of AIDS, and perceived benefit of using sterile needle. Logistic regression found needle sharing to be more likely among injecting drug users have less knowledge of HIV/AIDS and low self-efficacy.Key words : needle sharing practise, injecting drug users, HIV/AIDS
