Abstract

The UK has incorporated the strict liability principle in dealing with the environmental offence in its legislations. However, the principle application has some detrimental impacts. This article aims to discuss strict liability crimes in the UK’s environmental legislations and civil penalties in the UK, the detrimental effects of applying its principle and the reasons for supplementing criminal penalties for environmental offences with civil penalties. This will be done through the adoption of a doctrinal legal research method. The incorporation of strict liability principle in the UK’s legislations can be found in the Environmental Protection Act 1990, the Water Resources Act 1991, Part 2A of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 (SI 2010 No. 675). The detrimental effects of the principle application are the ignorance of mens rea element, unfair trial, ineffective environmental damage prevention, and contradictory to release right. The reasons for applying civil penalties of criminal law violation in regard with violating environmental law are this punishment is possible to be imposed on companies, it strengthens another kind of non-criminal sentence sanction, it is a peaceful solution, a polluter may manage by himself to repair the damage, it has no stigma on the polluter and it has wider law enforcement form. There is a dearth of literature looking at the latest UK’s legislation incorporating strict liability principle application. This article will fill this literature gap.

Abstract

Research on hygiene and sanitation courses has been carried out on students of the tourism study program at STIPAR Soromandi Bima. This study aims to develop a hygiene and sanitation learning tool based on typical food "Mbohi Dungga" using the PBL model to improve students' creative thinking skills. By using a 4-D model (developmental research) which include of RPS Textbooks, Worksheets and Instruments of students' creative thinking skills. Based on the objectives and results of the study, it can be concluded that the procedure for developing hgyene and sanitation learning devices based on typical food "Mbohi Dungga" using Problem Based Learning Models to improve creative thinking ability of STIPAR Soromandi Bima students by using the Four-D research development model is in the "GOOD" category. Thus, the learning tools developed can be declared "FEASIBLE" to be used in the learning process in the Hygyene and Sanitation course at STIPAR Soromandi Bima.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the 2024 independent curriculum program for PAI subjects at SMK Mulia Bakti Purwokerto. This research examines the program, implementation and impact of the independent curriculum on PAI subjects. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach with a case study design. This research carries out observations, interviews and documentation so that it can describe the research object without affecting the situation and as it is. The results of this research show the obstacles faced by schools both in terms of teacher components, infrastructure, supporting resources and of course students. However, this can be anticipated with solutions such as following training, equalizing paradigms and being consistent. In implementing the independent curriculum in PAI lessons, there are not too many changes from the previous curriculum. Student activities are the main thing or student-centered learning (student center). The sustainability of the implementation of the independent curriculum must be adjusted to the ability and consistency in its implementation. Of course, there are various obstacles and evaluation can be used as a solution in implementing the independent curriculum. As we know, the independent curriculum is a refinement of the previous curriculum. However, what makes this independent curriculum different is that there are different projects in each subject, making learning more fun and varied.

Abstract

This study tries to examine the transformation of education in Islamic BoardingSchool of Hasan Jufri, Sangkapura, Bawean, Gresik. The results of this study revealthat the role of Kiai’s leadership is very significant in education transformation.To respond to the contemporary challenges, Kiai conducts the process oftransformation by establishing a formal education institution. In addition, theprocess of transformation also requires the transformation of educational systemsamong such as redefining goals, curriculum, methods, as well as providing thenecessary facilities. However, the educational transformation held in IslamicBoarding School of Hasan Jufri also brings about some implications, both negativeand positive. The positive implication is that the quality of education has increasedsignificantly, while its negative implication is that some students tend to behaveunfavorably, such as undermining some religious norms and imitating urban lifestyles.

Abstract

 Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan untuk melakukan pendampingan kegiatan perencanaan Gapura Rumah lamin Dayak dalam  membantu meninggkatkan citra visual bagi masyarakat kampung dayak, Kecamatan Balikpapan Utara, Kota Balikapapan. fasilitas umum berupa Gapura yang didesain vernakular yaitu mencerminkan lokal dan konstektual di lingkungannya. Dengan desain yang baik secara arsitektural, diharapkan mampu menampilkan tradisi lokal dan akan dapat menumbuhkan kembangkan kegiatan Pariwisata nantinya. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahapan, yaitu studi lapangan proses desain grafis dan visualisasi. Survei lapangan digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data situs, seperti mengukur luas situs dan menganalisis kondisi yang ada. Hasil pengukuran tersebut menjadi awal dari proses perencanaan dasar, yang kemudian berlanjut ke desain ruang pertemuan berupa visualisasi dan perhitungan struktur bangunan.. Hasil dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah : (1) telah diperbantukan dalam proses perencanaan desain Lamin, Kecamatan Balikpapan Utara, Kota Balikpapan; (2) penyusunan rencana anggaran biaya pelaksanaan pembangunan lamin dan perhitungan struktur bangunan Lamin; (3) dari hasil perencanaan ini akan ditindaklanjuti sebagai Artikel koran daerah yaitu desain Lamin yang kontekstual dengan lingkungannya.

Abstract

Peranan guru dalam pembelajaran IPS mempunyai hubungan erat dengan dengan cara mengaktifkan siswa dalam belajar, terutama dalam proses pengembangan kemampuan dan keterampilan.Untuk mengurangi sifat verbalisme siswa dan membantah pemahaman konsep yang terdapat dalam materi IPS yang terdapat di SD, guru diharapkan memiliki kemampuan untuk mengembangkan model interaktif dalam pembelajaran IPS serta mengidentifikasi sumber-sumber pelajaran. Salah satu model interaktif yang bisa diterapkan guru salah satunya adalah model pembelajaran kontekstual atau Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Pembelajarn kontekstual merupakan suatu proses yang bertujuan untuk membantu siswa memahami materi pelajaran yang sedang mereka pelajari dengan menghubungkan pokok materi pelajaran dengan penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.Dari hasil kegiatan penelitian tindakan kelas yang telah dilakukan dalam dua siklus terhadap siswa kelas VIA di SDN Pinggir Papas 1 Kecamatan Kalianget Kabupaten Sumenep, dan berdasarkan seluruh pembahasan dari hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwaOptimalisasi Pembelajaran IPS pada Siswa Kelas VIAmelalui Metode Contextual Teaching And Learning(CTL) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa memahami materi pembelajaran IPS, sehingga berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa, serta siswa menjadi aktif dan tertarik mengikuti proses pembelajaranyang dilaksanakan oleh guru di kelas.

Abstract

This research discusses the study of egalitarianism in the social life of the Osing community in Banyuwangi, by highlighting aspects of welfare, justice and equality. The Osing people have a strong belief in the principles of egalitarianism which prioritize social equality and justice in the treatment of individuals, regardless of background or social position. The method used in this research is the research method used is a qualitative research method. Research was conducted on the Osing community in Banyuwangi. The collection technique uses data triangulation where the collection uses primary data and secondary data. The results of this research can be concluded that the study of egalitarianism in the social life of the Osing community in Banyuwangi has important implications in understanding and promoting the values ​​of equality, justice and prosperity in the context of that society. This study provides a richer picture of how the values ​​of egalitarianism are reflected in the life patterns of local communities and helps in formulating strategies and policies that can increase equality and prosperity for all members of the Osing community.

Abstract

Dalam perkembangannya penari gandrung perempuan terus menerus mendapat berbagai stereotype. Penilaian individu mengenai karakteristik dalam suatu kelompok yang bisa bersifat positif atau negatif. Namun kebanyakan stereotip atau stigma kepada para penari gandrung perempuan justru bersifat negatif. Hal ini dapat diketahui dari seringnya terdapat sindiran dan dianggap melakukan pekerjaan yang tidak sesuai dengan norma yang berlaku di masyarakat. Serta sering kali menerima perlakuan tidak baik secara verbal maupun non verbal. Sehingga berdampak buruk bagi para penari gandrung perempuan itu sendiri. Berdasarkan masalah yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini, maka jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Dengan jenis pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sejarah dan etnografi. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan teknik purposive sampling karena peneliti yakin bahwa sampel yang diambil lebih mengetahui masalah sedang diteliti. Diketahui para penari Gandrung mendapatkan perspektif negatif dari sebagian masyarakat yang sering dikaitkan dengan seorang penghibur. Hal tersebut lambat laun sudah berubah seiring berkembangnya Pariwisata di Banyuwangi yang membuat tari Gandrung menjadi sebuah kesenian dan bukan sekedar hiburan. Dapat diketahui Rekontruksi Identitas dari penari Gandrung berubah semenjak Tari Gandrung sering ditampilkan untuk menyambut tamu kehormatan ataupun sebagai sebuah kesenian yang harus terus dilestarikan

Abstract

Gandrung is one of the works of art that became a means to express the inner state of Banyuwangi people during the Dutch era, Gandrung became an important icon. This is why the regeneration of Gandrung dancers is very important, requiring a strategy to attract the sympathy of the younger generation regarding the Meras Gandrung tradition. The purpose of this research is to be an important contribution to the development of effective cultural strategies, bridging the gap between tradition and the times, and ensuring the continuity of a cultural heritage that is very valuable to the people of Banyuwangi. The form of this research is descriptive qualitative. The theory used is the theory of cultural inheritance by Edward T. Hall. Data collection techniques using interviews, observations, and document studies. The results of the research show that the existing strategy is an important movement so that students or even the general public know that to become a Gandrung must go through the Meras Gandrung Tradition, the infrastructure created by the government is an important forum for Gandrung maestros and fairies to convey the meaning of Gandrung, besides that the Meras Gandrung Performance is an important strategy because it involves young Banyuwangi dancer students to know the process and meaning of Gandrung. This can be studied using the theory of cultural inheritance according to Edward T. Hall, in his theory of cultural inheritance, emphasizes the importance of the cultural level dimension. He understands that the values, norms and communication patterns of a culture can be passed on and maintained through generations. His concept of cultural level dimensions includes differences in such things as perceptions of time, interpersonal space, and ways of communicating, all of which contribute to how culture is passed on and continues in a society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of lesson study in enhancing collaboration among faculty members in a higher education setting, specifically within the Study Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP). A qualitative research method was employed, using in-depth interviews with five faculty members involved in lesson study activities. The findings indicate that lesson study provides a positive experience for faculty in sharing teaching ideas and practices, as well as increasing their engagement and motivation. Despite challenges such as time constraints and differing viewpoints, faculty reported significant changes in their teaching practices, such as improved responsiveness to student feedback and greater willingness to experiment with new methods. The study concludes that lesson study is an effective strategy for strengthening faculty collaboration and enhancing the quality of learning. Further support from the institution and additional training for faculty are needed to address existing challenges. Limitations of the study include the small sample size and specific context, which may limit the generalizability of the findings across all study programs.
