Abstract

Education in 21st Century has supported use of the 2013 Curriculum which demands skills, one of which is creative thinking skills. This skill demand is inversely proportional to the real conditions in class XI MIPA 3 SMAN 2 Malang. Initially, creative thinking skills showed an average of 50.20%, indicated that student still had difficulty writing many different answers and were not equipped with details, used the language of books and the internet, did not see problems from various directions. Low cognitive learning outcomes are proven by the 2020/2021 odd semester exam scores with 41.39% of students getting scores below the KKM. Teachers have difficulty implementing learning models during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research aims to improve creative thinking skills and cognitive learning outcomes using the POGIL model combined with a digital mind map based on online learning. The research aims to improve students’ creative thinking skills and cognitive learning outcomes using POGIL model combined digital mind map based on online learning. The method uses Classroom Action Research with Kemmis & Mc Taggart design. Collecting data through creative thinking questions from UKBM, digital mind map, and pretest-posttest. The results of the cycle I and cycle II showed an increase in creative thinking skills from 78.37 to 86.26 (UKBM) and 83.74 to 91.50 (digital mind map), the average class cognitive learning outcomes from 78.90 to 80.29, and classical cognitive completeness by 80.65% to 87.10%. The increase was due to the integration of guided inquiry, cooperative, and digital mind map that we're able to create an active atmosphere, creative thinking, teamwork, and concept formation. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jbt.v11.i2.28827

This study uses a descriptive survey to obtain quantitative data without special treatment. The population is students of PGSD Universitas Islam Raden Rahmat for the 2022/2023 academic year who program science courses (125 students). The sample was selected by random sampling technique, which was 84 students. Creative thinking skills are measured by an essay test totaling 8 questions that refer to indicators of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The data was analyzed descriptively by calculating the percentage of each indicator to be further adjusted to the level of creative thinking indicator. The results show that students' creative thinking skills is still low in all indicators and included in the non-creative level.  Creative thinking skills on the 'fluency' indicator received ‘enough’, while 'flexibility', 'originality', and 'elaboration' were still at the 'low' and 'very low'.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly transformed the landscape of education. Initially, learning activities were face-to-face, then it switched to online activities. Various schools use application programs to assist learning activities between teachers and students. Bani Hasyim Islamic Elementary School developed a media called PANDAWA, which means online student guidelines (Panduan Daring Siswa). Teacher creativity in developing online learning media is interesting to be studied. The research objectives are (1) to describe model instructional using PANDAWA in school. (2) To describe the impact model instructional by using PANDAWA. The research employed descriptive qualitative conducted at SD Islam Bani Hasyim. Sources of data are the school principal, teachers, students and documents. Methods of data collection are namely interviews, observations, questionnaires, and document collection. PANDAWA media was developed by Bani Hasyim Islamic Elementary School teachers from the Google Form application and Microsoft Office PowerPoint. PANDAWA has features ranging from opening, classroom, materials, assignments and closing. Teaching materials are presented in the form of writing, infographics, and videos included in the features. PANDAWA is set with a password or code based on the classroom. Every morning, the teacher gives a code via WhatsApp to the class group to open PANDAWA. The impacts of PANDAWA on learning activities are (1) learning activities are carried out independently, (2) assignment-based activities to students, (3) PANDAWA does not yet have a virtual face-to-face feature; as a result, students only carry out virtual face-to-face meetings 2-3 times a week using the Google Meet, Zoom, and Whatsapp Groups applications, (4) evaluation of student learning cannot yet be detected objectively, (5) students experience boredom which affects student learning interest. PANDAWA makes it administratively more accessible for teachers to collect assignments.
