Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning activities and cognitive learning outcomes, particularly related to local knowledge, in the subject of Basic Culinary Arts, specifically in the chapter Indonesian Food Processing, sub-chapter Javanese Dishes, through the implementation of the Cooperative Peer Instruction model integrated with ethnogastronomy. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were students of Class X-Culinary 2 at SMK YPM 2 Taman in the academic year 2024/2025. The instruments used included pre-tests and post-tests in each cycle, checklist-based observation sheets, and field notes. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. Based on observations from Cycle I and Cycle II, there was an increase in the percentage of students' learning activities and cognitive learning outcomes. Respectively, the students' activity percentages were 59.03% and 70.48%, while the percentage of cognitive learning mastery was 62.5% and 78.125%. It can be concluded that the implementation of the Cooperative Peer Instruction model integrated with ethnogastronomy in the chapter Indonesian Food Processing, sub-chapter Javanese Dishes, in this study was able to improve students' learning activities and cognitive learning outcomes in the learning process.

Abstract

Hybrid learning at SMK Negeri 2 Jombang greatly affects students' understanding of the learning outcomes of double application coloring (tipping). This study aims to analyze the effect of the implementation of a scientific approach that affects the learning outcomes of double application coloring (Tipping) of grade 11 students of SMK Negeri 2 Jombang. The research method used is an experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample used in this study was class 11 Beauty of SMK N 2 Jombang. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of a scientific approach on the learning outcomes of double application coloring (tipping) on ​​students' cognitive learning outcomes as evidenced by the results of the t-test sig value of 0.000 which was smaller than the real price of 0.05 or 0.000> 0.05. In addition, there was a difference in the average posttest results in the control class of 66.50 and the experimental class of 81.96

Abstract

The aims of this study is to enhance the understanding of vocational high school students in the Culinary Department, Phase E, regarding Dessert material by utilizing Quizizz as an interactive learning medium. The research employs Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection was carried out through pre-tests and post-tests to measure students' comprehension improvement. The findings indicate that implementing Quizizz effectively enhances students' understanding, with a learning outcome increase of 16% in the first cycle and 30% in the second cycle. The use of Quizizz not only boosts student engagement in the learning process but also creates a more interactive and enjoyable learning atmosphere. This study proves that integrating technology as a learning medium can be an effective solution to improving education quality, particularly in the culinary field at vocational high schools

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the Problem Based Learning in improving students' cognitive abilities in Danish Pastry material. The type of research used is classroom action with Kemmis & McTaggart model design which includes two cycles. Each cycle includes the stages of planning, implementation, observation, reflection. The population of the study was 32 culinary class XI students. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used a cognitive test result completion test, analysis of teacher and student activities through observation sheets, and the N-gain test. The results showed that application of PBL significantly increased the activities of teachers and students. With the percentage of teacher activity increasing from (95.29%) to (97.17%) while student activity increased from (85.63%) to (88.12%). Cognitive learning outcomes increased from pre-test (15.63%) to post-test (62.50%) in cycle I and increased further to reach completion reaching (100%) in cycle II. The results of N-Gain analysis showed a significant increase from the medium category (0.339) to the high category (0.942). The conclusion of this study is that application of PBL is effective in improving students' cognitive understanding, allowing students to be more active in problem solving, critical thinking, and understanding concepts in depth

Abstract

This study examines Bima Arya's political communication strategy in his efforts for personal branding on Instagram, using a pragmatism paradigm and a qualitative approach. In the rapidly growing digital era, social media has become an important platform for politicians to build and manage their public image. This research uses a qualitative method with a constructivism paradigm, as the aim of the study is to gain a deep understanding of how Bima Arya communicates his self-image through Instagram and how the audience responds to and constructs meaning from this communication. The findings show that content emphasizing direct engagement, transparency, and responsiveness to public issues has proven effective in increasing audience engagement and strengthening a politician's positive image. Bima Arya has successfully maintained his brand image as "Kang Bima," a politician close to the people, through four stages of political communication strategy on Instagram, with consistency in managing his image, visiting various places with different social issues, and demonstrating that he is still loved by the people of Bogor even after no longer serving as the mayor.

Abstract

The highest frequency of landslides in Kebumen Regency is observed in the Ayah Subdistrict and Buayan Subdistrict, which are in the southern part of the Karangbolong Hills. This area are the targets for the construction of the 14.03 km Ayah-Jladri Southern Cross Road (JJLS). Consequently, the objective of this study is to create a landslide susceptibility map utilizing the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) methodology. Some causative factors are used to develop landslide susceptibility maps i.e. elevation, slope gradient, aspect and curvature, lithology and lineament density, distance from streams, land use and distance from roads. A total number of 128 landslide events are considered in the study. This method identified five susceptibility zones based on LSI value: very low (141.79-241.74), low (241.75-293.73), moderate (293.74-334.52), high (334.53-374.89), and very high (374.90-460.50). The landslide susceptibility map was validated, with an AUC value of 0.749, suggesting that the map provides good results.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) menjadi fokus utama dalam upaya meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan tata kelola manajemen UMKM di Kecamatan Kebon Pedas, Sukabumi, guna mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal dan peningkatan taraf hidup masyarakat. Metode penelitian melibatkan studi literatur, survei lapangan, wawancara, dan analisis data.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa UMKM di Kecamatan Kebon Pedas memiliki potensi yang dapat ditingkatkan melalui pengembangan tata kelola manajemen yang efektif. Berbagai hambatan seperti minimnya pemahaman manajemen, keterbatasan akses ke pasar, dan kurangnya dukungan dari pemerintah perlu diatasi untuk mempercepat pertumbuhan UMKM. Dalam rangka pemberdayaan, perlu dilakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan bagi pelaku UMKM untuk meningkatkan keterampilan manajerial mereka.Penelitian ini mengusulkan strategi penguatan tata kelola manajemen UMKM, termasuk penggunaan teknologi informasi, pembentukan koperasi, dan peningkatan akses pasar melalui pemanfaatan platform digital. Dengan menerapkan strategi ini, diharapkan UMKM dapat lebih efisien, berdaya saing, dan mampu memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap kesejahteraan keluarga di Kecamatan Kebon Pedas, Sukabumi. Kesimpulan penelitian ini memberikan pandangan mendalam tentang pentingnya pemberdayaan UMKM dan pengembangan tata kelola manajemen sebagai langkah strategis untuk mencapai kesejahteraan keluarga di tingkat lokal.

Abstract

This training was designed to introduce ecoprint techniques to members of the Women's Dharma Association of the West Papua Provincial Forestry Service, emphasizing its potential as a community-based business opportunity. The activity utilized natural materials readily available in the surrounding environment, such as butterfly pea leaves and flowers, teak leaves, and other local foliage. The training was conducted in stages, beginning with an introduction to the basic concepts of eco-printing, followed by hands-on practice using two main techniques: pounding and steaming. These techniques were applied to cloth tote bags and ceramic mugs. The results showed that participants demonstrated a higher level of proficiency in producing eco prints using the steaming technique compared to the pounding method.

Abstract

Reflecting the substance of the Preservice science teachers must have the ability to teach science appropriately. This ability is related to pedagogical and content knowledge. Teaching with inquiry is important in the development process of teacher professionalism. This is an urgency for preservice science teacher students to be equipped with teaching skills inquiry and the ability to reflect in learning. This research aimed to analyze the validity and practicality of the developed Inquiry Reflective Teaching (IRT) model; and to find the effectiveness of the IRT model in improving PCK. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method. The data collection techniques used were IRT model assessment, practicality questionnaire and Pedagogical Content Knowledge test. The data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. Quantitative data analysis techniques were used to determine the validity and practicality categories of the IRT model. Qualitative data analysis techniques were used to analyze data in the form of suggestions from experts, practitioner lecturers, and preservice science teacher students. The results of this study showed that the validity assessment was in a very valid category. Likewise, the results of the assessment of the practicality of the IRT model were categorized as very practical. The IRT model can effectively improve the PCK of preservice science teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing management and financial management of goat farming in Bantar Panjang Village, Tigaraksa District, Tangerang Regency. Goat farming is one of the main sources of income for the local community, yet it still faces challenges in marketing and effective financial record-keeping. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through interviews, field observations, and document studies with local farmers. The findings show that the marketing strategy is still conventional, relying on local networks, while financial record-keeping is not well-structured, making it difficult to make long-term economic decisions. The study recommends the implementation of a digital marketing strategy, enhancing the farmers' capacity in business management, and using a simple but systematic financial recording system to improve the efficiency and sustainability of the goat farming business.
