Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concepts of inclusive theology and religious pluralism through a critical examination of the perspectives of religious thinkers from both Islamic theological traditions and modern-contemporary thought. The research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, using descriptive-critical analysis of the ideas of John Hick, Karl Rahner, Nurcholish Madjid, Abdurrahman Wahid, M. Quraish Shihab, as well as critiques from scholars who reject theological pluralism. The findings reveal that inclusive theology seeks to foster an open, tolerant, and dialogical religious attitude while maintaining the internal theological commitments of each faith tradition. Religious pluralism, meanwhile, encompasses a broad spectrum of meanings, ranging from the recognition of socio-religious diversity to theological perspectives concerning salvation and religious truth. The study further finds that the tension between exclusivism, inclusivism, and pluralism is shaped not only by doctrinal issues but also by historical, social, and hermeneutical factors. It concludes that inclusive theology can serve as an ethical and dialogical foundation for harmonious multicultural life, while religious pluralism should be understood critically and proportionally in order to avoid the extremes of both relativism and absolutism.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggali strategi prodi Tasawuf dan Psikoterapi dalam membentuk spiritualitas alumninya. Selanjutanya, untuk mengenali karakteristik spiritualitas alumni, dan untuk mengetehaui sejauh mana nilai-nilai spiritualitas alumni dalam pencegahan penyimpangan perilaku di era modern. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan metode kualitatif-deskriptif. Pendekatan yang diguanakan adalah fenomenologi, tasawuf, dan psikologis. Sumber data meliputi ketua Prodi, sekretaris Prodi, dan alumni angkatan 2017-2023. Adapaun pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, kuesioner terbuka dan juga dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi Prodi Tasawuf dan Psikoterapi melalui kurikulumnya pada pembelajaran formal yaitu melalui mata kuliah di kelas secara teoritis, maupun kegiatan nonformal yaitu manaqib dan studi lapangan di berbagai instansi seperti tarekat, yayasan sosial, BNN, sekolah, dan juga rumah sakit. Kegiatan tersebut berperan dalam membentuk spiritualitas alumni, berdasarkan karakteristik spritulitas dari Imam Al-Ghazali. Aspek spritual pertama yakni tazkiyatun nafs dibuktikan dengan muhasabah dan istighfar sehingga dapat dirasakan ketenangan jiwa dalam menghadapi berbagai persoalan kehidupan. Aspek taqarrub ilallah dijalani melalui dzikir, doa, serta ibadah sunnah. Akhlak dan moralpun tercermin dalam sikap menghargai orang lain, pengendalian emosi serta menjaga hubungan sosial dengan berpikir positif. Aspek zuhud cukup tercapai dengan menyeimbangkan kepentingan akhirat dan kebutuhan duniawinya, namun beberapa alumni dalam implementasinya sering kali tertantang oleh kebutuhan materil dan status sosial. Beberapa maqam seperti sabar dan syukur berhasil diterapkan, meski tidak semua maqam tersebut membuahkan ahwal (kondisi batin) yang ideal dalam pengalaman spiritualnya.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the phenomenon of fundamentalism in Islam from historical, ideological, and contemporary social perspectives. Using a qualitative approach with a literature review method, the research identifies two main dimensions of Islamic fundamentalism: as an expression of piety that seeks to preserve the purity of religious teachings, and as a reactive ideology with the potential to incite violence. The emergence of fundamentalism is driven by multiple factors, including responses to modernity and secularization, identity crises, failures in religious education institutions, and socio-political disparities. The most critical impacts of this phenomenon are social instability, narrowing of scholarly discourse, and the radicalization of youth. This study is expected to contribute to academic discourse on contemporary Islam and serve as a reference in formulating religious moderation strategies in pluralistic societies.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this work is to understand the concept of plurality within the framework of Islamic law. This research uses a literature review method to explore plurality in Islamic law. Data sources include the Al-Qur'an, hadith, and the Medina Charter, with data collection techniques using documentation and interview approaches. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and comparatively, and involved contextual studies to understand historical and social influences on Islamic legal views on plurality. The result of this work is that plurality in Islam, recognized as part of God's design and reflected in the Medina Charter, emphasizes tolerance and recognition of religious freedom. Within the framework of Islamic law in Indonesia, Islam plays a key role in managing plurality with the principles of justice and equality. Even though it is recognized in the 1945 Constitution and is in accordance with Pancasila, the challenges of implementing religious freedom still need to be overcome to create a harmonious society. It is hoped that a deep understanding of the concept of plurality can form an inclusive and fair legal framework in facing the complexities of contemporary times.

Abstract

The indication of the low level of students’ polite behavior can still be seen from several students who display impolite attitudes, such as using inappropriate words, being unserious and tending to joke around during Aqidah Akhlak learning activities, and showing indifferent attitudes when meeting or passing by teachers. This thesis aims to: 1) describe the Aqidah Akhlak learning activities at Madrasah Al-Murahamahtul Islamiyah, Bantaeng Regency; 2) describe the polite behavior of students at Madrasah Al-Murahamahtul Islamiyah, Bantaeng Regency; and 3) analyze whether there is a relationship between Aqidah Akhlak learning and students’ polite behavior at Madrasah Al-Murahamahtul Islamiyah, Bantaeng Regency.This study employed a quantitative ex post facto method with a simple linear regression research design. The research was conducted at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Murahamahtul Islamiyah Banyorang, Tompobulu District, Bantaeng Regency. The population of this study consisted of 73 students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Murahamahtul Islamiyah Banyorang, Tompobulu District, Bantaeng Regency. Based on the calculation results, the value of tcount = 2.276, while ttable = 1.666 at a significance level of 0.05. Since tcount was greater than ttable, it can be concluded that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. This means that there is a relationship between Aqidah Akhlak learning and the polite behavior of students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Murahamahtul Islamiyah Banyorang, Bantaeng Regency.

Abstract

This thesis discusses the influence of the index card match learning model on the learning motivation of sixth grade students at Pannara Public Elementary School, Makassar City. This study aims to: (1) describe the index card match learning model of sixth grade students at Pannara Public Elementary School, Makassar City; (2) describe the learning motivation of sixth grade students at Pannara Public Elementary School, Makassar City; and (3) analyze the influence of the index card match learning model on the learning motivation of sixth grade students at Pannara Public Elementary School, Makassar City. This type of research is quantitative research with an ex post facto approach. This research was conducted at Pannara Public Elementary School, Makassar City. The population of this study was 65 sixth grade students, and the sample was taken using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive statistical analysis and simple regression analysis. The implications of this study indicate that the Index Card Match learning model can be used as an alternative learning strategy to increase students' learning motivation through an active, interactive, and enjoyable learning atmosphere. Therefore, schools and educators are expected to support and implement innovative learning models to create a more effective and meaningful learning process.

Abstract

Mathematics is often considered a difficult and boring subject for elementary school students. This situation encourages teachers to seek more engaging and effective learning media. One technology-based media that can be utilized is the Coolmath4Kids website, which provides interactive materials and games to help students understand basic math concepts in a fun way. This study aims to describe the strategy for utilizing the Coolmath4Kids website in teaching basic arithmetic operations to third-grade students at MI Hidayatul Islam Gembong, as well as to analyze the positive and negative impacts of its use. The uniqueness of this study lies in its focus on the context of an elementary madrasah with limited technological facilities. However, this limitation actually encourages teachers to be more creative in utilizing existing technology optimally. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, employing field research. Data were obtained from third-grade teachers, students, and the principal as primary sources, and supporting documents as secondary sources. Data collection techniques included direct observation and in-depth interviews. The research results show that the Coolmath4Kids utilization strategy was implemented in three stages. First, the planning stage involved developing objectives based on CPL and ATP, selecting features, and setting up the projector. Second, the implementation stage included explaining the material, observing with students, and taking turns answering questions. Third, the evaluation stage involved practice questions and evaluations by teachers and the principal. The use of Coolmath4Kids has had positive impacts, including increased student enthusiasm, easier conceptual understanding, and a more enjoyable learning environment. However, there have been negative impacts, including language barriers, students' focus sometimes shifting to games, and limited internet connection.
