Abstract

This article describes the effect of the ASI (Auditory Visual Self Improvement) model through YouTube digital visualization media to improve students’ poetry reading skills in elementary schools. This research is a classroom action research method, which consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of research in each cycle indicate an improvement. Classically, students were declared to have completed 100% of learning in cycle II, because all students in reading poetry achieved 80 or above. This learning completeness is above the KKM target of 80%. Based on these proportions, the criteria for qualitative data assessment are classified as "very good". It shows that ASI (Auditory Visual Self Improvement) learning model assisted by digital visualization media in general can be used as alternative learning to improve students’ poetry reading skills in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of using interactive teaching materials based on the Dayak Bulusu traditional dance on strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile character in elementary school students. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The participants were fifth-grade students from a public elementary school in North Kalimantan, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a character assessment instrument that referred to the six dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile and were analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The findings reveal a significant improvement in students’ character, particularly in the aspects of mutual cooperation, independent learning, and cultural diversity appreciation, in the experimental group using the interactive teaching materials. These results suggest that integrating local cultural content into interactive learning resources effectively promotes character education aligned with the Pancasila Student Profile. The study recommends that interactive materials rooted in indigenous culture be continuously developed as innovative media in elementary education, especially within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Character education at the elementary school level is a crucial foundation for shaping the nation's moral identity. However, the implementation of a values-based approach often faces methodological and sustainability challenges. This study aims to present a comprehensive synthesis and critical analysis of the implementation of Pancasila values ??using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Through a search of reputable academic databases such as Scopus, ERIC, and Google Scholar, this study examined 25 relevant articles selected based on strict inclusion criteria related to Pancasila character and the values-based approach. The data synthesis identified three dominant implementation strategies: cross-curricular thematic integration, fostering school culture through teacher role models, and implementing a project to strengthen the Pancasila student profile. Although the majority of studies reported positive improvements in student understanding, the critical analysis highlighted two fundamental weaknesses: the inconsistency in program sustainability, which still relies on individual initiative, and the limitations of evaluation methods, which tend to be descriptive and unable to objectively measure value internalization. The study's conclusions emphasize the urgency of developing measurable evaluation instruments and a robust managerial system to ensure the effectiveness and continuity of character education in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study critically examines the implementation of the Deep Learning policy in Indonesian elementary schools by comparing the directives of Permendikdasmen No. 13 of 2025 with empirical findings from a systematic literature review. The review explores how the policy’s vision of mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning aligns with classroom realities. Using a structured analysis of selected studies published between 2020 and 2025, the findings reveal persistent gaps between policy expectations and practice, including limited teacher understanding, inconsistent implementation, and inadequate infrastructure, particularly in rural contexts. These gaps hinder the development of critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and reflective learning that the policy envisions. The study concludes that strengthening teacher competence, improving school support systems, and ensuring equitable digital infrastructure are essential for achieving meaningful implementation. Readers are encouraged to reflect on how systemic alignment can transform policy intentions into genuine learning experiences.

Abstract

This study examines contemporary practices of citizenship education grounded in Pancasila values in Indonesian primary schools through a combined Systematic Literature Review and bibliometric analysis. Rapid sociotechnical changes in the 2020s have intensified the need for pedagogical approaches that not only build civic knowledge but also cultivate value-oriented behavior aligned with the Pancasila profile of learners. The review synthesizes empirical evidence published between 2020 and 2025 to identify effective instructional strategies and the mechanisms through which cognitive, affective, and behavioral dimensions of value internalization are fostered. Using PRISMA-guided procedures, 18 eligible articles were systematically analyzed, complemented by bibliometric mapping of publication trends, co-authorship networks, and keyword co-occurrences. The findings reveal growing scholarly attention to project-based learning, service-based activities, role-playing, and culturally embedded school programs as means to strengthen moral reasoning, cooperation, and democratic dispositions among young learners. Nevertheless, considerable variation remains in pedagogical quality, research rigor, and assessment instruments, with many studies relying on small samples and non-standardized measures. Bibliometric patterns indicate fragmented research clusters and limited interdisciplinary collaboration, highlighting conceptual gaps in operationalizing Pancasila-based citizenship competencies. The study concludes that integrated, experiential, and contextually grounded learning designs hold strong potential to reinforce Pancasila values, yet require more robust empirical validation. The combined SLR–bibliometric approach provides a comprehensive evidence base and research roadmap for policymakers, educators, and future researchers seeking to advance value-based civic education at the primary level.
