Abstract

This article is about the method of resolving conflict in the household through the application of mubadalah jurisprudence. The household conflict in question is like inequality in the division of tasks and responsibilities, as well as the lack of balance in decision-making which often becomes a source of disputes between husband and wife. The formulation of the problem in this article is how mubadalah jurisprudence can be applied as a solution to resolving household conflict and what are the obstacles faced in its implementation. The method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Primary data was obtained through in-depth interviews with married couples who face conflict, community leaders, and family consultants. The location of the research was carried out in urban and rural areas in Lampung Province, Indonesia. Data analysis was carried out using the mubadalah theory which emphasizes the principle of mutuality in husband and wife relations. The results of the study indicate that the application of the mubadalah concept can be an effective solution in reducing household conflict, mubadalah prioritizes a more balanced husband and wife relationship. However, obstacles in implementing this principle include the strong patriarchal cultural factor and the weakness of society regarding the principles of mubadalah. The practical contribution of this research is to the understanding of society and institutions implementing Islamic law, such as the Religious Court and the Office of Religious Affairs, when making peace efforts or fostering the bride and groom to understand the importance of the principles of mubadalah.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the condition of the online class, especially the activeness of students during the synchronous and asynchronous learning process. This study is also to determine the increase in student learning outcomes on vektor material. Learning uses the Group to Group Exchange (GGE) model in online classes and blended learning assisted by WhatsApp. This study uses a classroom action research design which consists of two cycles. The research subjects were students of Class X MIPA 1 SMAN 1 Jetis Ponorogo. Data on student activity includes discussion activities (asking or answering questions), presentations, and giving responses. This data was collected through observation sheets. Data about student learning outcomes are obtained through written tests or quizzes after the cycle takes place. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods. The results of the analysis showed an increase in activity and learning outcomes after learning using the GGE steps. GGE consists of (1) material distribution; (2) group distribution; (3) group discussion in the WA group; (4) presentation and group responses in the class WA group; and (5) evaluation. Class action taken in the form of reshuffling group members and face-to-face meetings. Student activity increased, in cycle I when online using WhatsApp, all student activities were recorded on WhatsApp chat only 54%. Group discussions in the WA group were less than optimal and presentations using photo sharing and voice notes were also less than optimal. While in the second cycle when blended learning, group discussions using WhatsApp group and face-to-face while face-to-face presentations, student activity became 88%. The learning outcomes of students whose scores are greater than the KKM increased from 24% in the first cycle to 72% in the second cycle, with the class average increasing from 48.48 to 81.76. The results of this study indicate that using a GGE based on WhatsApp-assisted blended learning can significantly increase student activity and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The provision of problem-solving, analytical, systematic, critical, and creative skills is important to improve human resources that can be obtained from learning mathematics. Geometry is a field of mathematics that aims to develop logical thinking skills, develop spatial intuition, and interpret mathematical arguments. Several studies show that students' understanding of geometry material is still at a low level, so it is necessary to develop or improve the geometry learning process. The purpose of this study is to describe the increase in students' geometric thinking levels based on Van Hiele's theory with a constructivism approach. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data analysis techniques using the Miles & Huberman model in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that before the learning process using a constructivist approach, students' geometric thinking skills were at levels 1 to 3 or the analysis stage to a formal deduction with the average being at the informal deduction and pre-formal deduction stages. Meanwhile, after the learning process using a constructivist approach was carried out, geometric thinking skills increased at levels 2 to 4 or the informal deduction stage to the rigor with an average increase in the formal deduction stage.

Abstract

The skills involved in the mathematical thinking process are crucial for university students pursuing Mathematics Education. However, most of them lack proficiency in seeing patterns while addressing an issue and articulating the problem in mathematical terms. The objectives of this research are (1) to analyze students' mathematical thinking process skills; (2) to ascertain students' expectations regarding the learning process and assessment in Ethnomathematical education; (3) to develop a performance assessment model design; (4) to evaluate the quality of the performance assessment model within Ethnomathematics-based Project-based Learning (PjBL) for measuring students' mathematical thinking process skills; and (5) to report the outcomes of measuring students' mathematical thinking process skills. This study employs a research and development (R&D) design. This study's population comprises all 6th-semester students enrolled in the Mathematics Education program at Muria Kudus University. The research sample was obtained by a saturation sampling procedure, comprising 107 students. The study instruments employed consist of assessment tools designed to evaluate students' mathematics cognitive processing skills. The acquired data were analyzed descriptively. The research findings indicate that: (1) students' mathematical thinking process skills are suboptimal, with a mean value of 54.14%; (2) students desire greater engagement in an active learning process that connects to real-life situations and cultural contexts, incorporating assessments that reflect individual performance; (3) a performance assessment model design for Ethnomathematics-based Project-Based Learning (PjBL) has been developed, encompassing objectives, components, instruments, syntax, and model guidelines. The created performance assessment approach for ethnomathematics-based project-based learning is both valid and reliable, and the evaluation of mathematical thinking process abilities demonstrates exceptional outcomes.
