Abstract

This study aimed at investigating the students’ mathematical communication abilities on geometry materials through Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model. The type of research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with data collection instruments are test of mathematical communication skill, lecturer observation sheets, and student observation sheets. This research was given to 31 first-year students of Malang State University in the academic year 2019/2020. This classroom action research stopped at cycle II. Based on the research results obtained, the percentage of students’ mathematical communication abilities in the first cycle had an average value of 68.097% while that in the second cycle had an average value of 82.000%. The average increase from cycle I to cycle II was 13.903%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model by providing material reinforcement in the form of written summaries as material reinforcement at the end of learning can improve mathematical communication skills of first-level students on geometry materials

Abstract

Technological developments open up opportunities for education to continue to develop, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, optimal use of technology is necessary. The need for adjustments to the LKPD (student worksheet) which is a learning medium and is an important component in teaching and learning activities to suit the current situation. The results of the observations found that there was no adjustment to this matter. This study aims to develop digital worksheets based on the geogebra classroom on set material, especially set operations. This study uses the DDD-E method with the stages of decide, design, develop and evaluate. The subjects of this research were 32 students of class 7D UM Laboratory Junior High School. The trial process is carried out during class. The digital LKPD (student worksheet) based on the geogebra classroom for set material, especially on set operations, has been developed. The developed learning media has been validated and obtained a media validation score of 3.49 and material validation 3.45 which indicates that this media is valid. The results of the practicality test obtained from the questionnaire distributed to students got a score of 3.24. As for the effectiveness of getting a score of 3.25 and help 78% of all students reach a KKM. This shows that the media developed is both practical and effective. Based on the results of validation, effectiveness and practicality, the developed digital worksheet based on the geogebra classroom can be used to study the topic of set operations. 45 which indicates that this media is valid. The results of the practicality test obtained from the questionnaire distributed to students got a score of 3.24. Abstract

Adanya pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan proses pembelajaran harus dilaksanakan secara dalam jaringan (daring) bagi sebagian besar sekolah di daerah terdampak. Pada pembelajaran secara daring, terdapat keterbatasan waktu dan ruang bagi guru dalam membimbing siswa mempelajari materi. Penggunaan video pembelajaran melalui Youtube yang dapat diakses secara daring merupakan salah satu alternatif solusi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap penggunaan video Youtube sebagai media pembelajaran daring matematika. Respon siswa ini berguna untuk mengetahui sejauh mana tanggapan dan reaksi siswa terhadap media pembelajaran yang digunakan, sehingga dapat dijadikan bahan refleksi serta referensi dalam merancang pembelajaran di masa yang akan datang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan angket untuk mendapatkan data respon dari siswa. Berdasarkan angket respon yang diberikan kepada 238 siswa SMKN 1 Malang, diperoleh hasil rata-rata persentase skor keseluruhan indikator mencapai 82%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa respon siswa terhadap penggunaan media video Youtube pada pembelajaran matematika adalah sangat positif. Namun perlu adanya perhatian khusus terkait penyajian tampilan video dan struktur penyampaian materi sehingga siswa lebih tertarik dan percaya diri setelah menggunakan media.

Abstract

Abstrak Kemajuan teknologi yang pesat memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pembelajaran di sekolah. Bahan ajar merupakan komponen penting dalam proses belajar mengajar. Bahan ajar yang ideal adalah bahan ajar yang dapat memfasilitasi peserta didik dalam memahami materi yang diajarkan dengan memanfatkan berbagai kecanggihan yang ada, serta dikemas dengan tampilan yang menyenangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan dan hasil pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis aplikasi android berbantuan 3D Pageflip Professional pada materi transformasi geometri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model prosedural yaitu model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima langkah, yaitu Analysis-Design-Develop-Implement-Evaluated. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket validasi produk, dan angket respon user (pengguna). Subjek dalam penelitian dan pengembangan ini meliputi validator ahli bahan ajar, dan 23 peserta didik kelas IX di SMP NU Pakis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kebutuhan yang dilakukan melalui wawancara, secara garis besar meraka menyukai pembelajaran yang menggunakan bahan ajar elektronik. Sehingga diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa peserta didik membutuhkan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan. Hasil validasi produk kepada ahli bahan ajar, diperoleh skor 3,3 dengan kesimpulan akhir yaitu bahan ajar yang dibuat telah valid dan dapat digunakan. Pada hasil uji coba yang melibatkan 23 peserta didik, diperoleh rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 3,52 dengan kesimpulan akhir yaitu bahan ajar dinyatakan valid dan dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: pengembangan bahan ajar, aplikasi android, materi transformasi geometriAbstractRapid technological advances have had a significant impact on learning in schools. Teaching materials are an important component in the teaching and learning process. Ideal teaching materials are teaching materials that can facilitate students in understanding the material being taught by utilizing various existing advances and are packaged with a pleasant appearance. This research aims to describe the development process and development results of teaching materials based on the Android application assisted by 3D Pageflip Professional on geometric transformation material. This research is development research with a procedural model, namely the ADDIE model which consists of five steps, namely Analysis-Design-Develop-Implement-Evaluated. The instruments used are product validation questionnaires and user response questionnaires. The subjects in this research and development included expert validators of teaching materials and 23 class IX students at NU Pakis Middle School. Based on the results of the needs analysis conducted through interviews, in general, they like learning that uses electronic teaching materials. So it can be concluded that students need developed teaching materials. The results of product validation with teaching materials experts obtained a score of 3.3 with the conclusion that the teaching materials created are valid and can be used. Based on the results of trials involving 23 students, an overall average of 3.52 was obtained with the conclusion being that the teaching materials were declared valid and could be used in the learning process.Keywords: development teaching materials, Android applications, geometric transformation materials

Abstract

Melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan strategi reciprocal teaching merupakan salah satu alternatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dan dibagi menjadi dua siklus, yaitu Siklus I yang terdiri dari tiga sesi pertemuan di kelas, dan Siklus II yang terdiri dari dua sesi pertemuan di kelas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada materi program linier yang dibuktikan dengan peningkatan nilai rata-rata dan ketuntasan klasikal. Jumlah siswa Kelas X Farmasi adalah 24 orang. Pada saat pretest didapatkan nilai rata-rata kelas siswa adalah 70,9 kemudian pada siklus yang pertama nilai rata-rata kelasnya meningkat menjadi 81,9 dan kemudian pada siklus yang kedua nilai rata-rata kelas meningkat lagi menjadi 87. Dengan demikian jika dilihat dari presentase ketuntasan, maka pada saat pretest sebesar 50% artinya siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 12 siswa dan tidak tuntas tesnya sebanyak 12 siswa, sedangkan pada siklus I sebesar 66,67% artinya siswanya berjumlah 16 yang tidak tuntas dan 8 siswa tuntas. Kemudian yang terakhir pada siklus II presentasi ketuntasannya sebesar 87% yang berarti bahwa siswa yang tidak tuntas sebanyak 3 siswa dan siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 21 siswa.

Abstract

Metacognition is one aspect that supports individual success in solving mathematical proof problems because using metacognition when solving problems will produce effective results. This research aims to collect information about students' metacognition in solving mathematical proof problems. This research applies a qualitative  escriptive approach. There were 30 Mathematics Education students involved in this research from Universitas Negeri Malang. The way to obtain data in this research uses a mathematical proof test and interviews. The results obtained from this research reveal that the metacognition experienced by students consists of awareness, regulation, and evaluation. However, the metacognitive activities of the first student were different from other students. This is because each individual’s metacognition is different even though both have the same problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

Dalam dinamika zaman yang terus berkembang, perspektif keseimbangan antara tradisi dan modernitas menjadi semakin relevan dalam konteks hukum keluarga Islam. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menggali lebih dalam prinsip-prinsip hukum keluarga Islam, menelusuri hingga akar tradisinya, dan mengadopsi perspektif yang seimbang antara nilai-nilai yang dianut secara turun-temurun dan tuntutan-tuntutan zaman modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode teori dasar yang menggunakan data dari bahan-bahan yang bersifat kepustakaan (library research), dengan mengutamakan penggunaan jurnal-jurnal yang berkaitan dengan prinsip-prinsip hukum keluarga Islam dalam tradisi dan modernitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mencari keseimbangan antara tradisi dan modernitas memungkinkan hukum keluarga Islam untuk tetap relevan dan berfungsi efektif dalam masyarakat modern. Memahami konteks sosial dan budaya serta melakukan pembaruan dalam hukum keluarga Islam menjadi kunci untuk menjawab tuntutan zaman yang terus berkembang. Artikel ini memiliki implikasi dalam memperkuat pemahaman tentang prinsip-prinsip hukum keluarga Islam, membuka jalan menuju pembaharuan yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai universal tentang keadilan, kesetaraan, dan kesejahteraan keluarga.

Abstract

The low numeracy skills in Indonesia are one factor affecting the quality of mathematics education, so reflective thinking is needed to improve this ability. This study aims to describe prospective mathematics teachers' reflective thinking process in solving numeracy problems at the critical reflection stage based on prior knowledge. This study used a qualitative, descriptive research methodology. The research participants were 34 prospective mathematics teachers at the State University of Malang, East Java. The instruments used are numeracy tests and interview guidelines. Data analysis includes data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed notable differences in reflective thinking based on prior knowledge levels at the critical reflection stage. Subjects with high prior knowledge tried various solutions, were confident in their answers, and accurately drew conclusions and explained their reasons. Subjects with medium prior knowledge tried different methods but needed more confidence in their results. They could conclude but struggled to explain their reasons. Subjects with low prior knowledge used the same method, needed more confidence, and needed help explaining their reasons despite concluding. These findings imply creating a better training program for prospective mathematics teachers, emphasizing numeracy and reflective thinking growth.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the theory and practice of constructivism in learning mathematics. This research is qualitative research using library research methods. Data was obtained by collecting various literature sources such as books, journals, and online research articles that are appropriate to the research problem. Data analysis in this study was carried out by content analysis. The research results show that teachers need to give students the freedom to experiment and provide relevant contexts for their theory development. In practice, teachers must consider that each student is unique and different in the way they understand and construct their knowledge. Therefore, teachers need to facilitate the learning process by considering the individual differences of students, ensuring that they have useful experiences and gain a deep understanding of the topics being taught.

Abstract

Cases of STI (Sexually Transmitted Infections) and HIV / AIDS are quite common among adolescents. Various types of STIs and HIV / AIDS are very influential on a person's health level in general and reproductive health conditions in particular because in general, various STI and HIV / AIDS infections are directly related to the human reproductive system. Even HIV / AIDS can have an impact on death. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to knowledge of HIV / AIDS in adolescents. This research is an analytical survey research in which the research will be conducted is a research using cross sectional research method (cross-cutting) because in this study the independent and dependent variables will be observed at the same time. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the distribution of adolescent knowledge about HIV / AIDS at SMK Gema Gawita Tangerang in 2019, namely Not Good as many as 54 respondents (58.7%) and Good as many as 38 respondents (41.3%). The distribution of adolescent knowledge about HIV / AIDS based on gender was 46 respondents (50%) and 46 respondents (50%), based on The role of parents were 60 respondents (65.2%) and 32 respondents (34.8%) had a role. %), based on the Attitude of students who have negative Attitude as many as 45 respondents (48.9%) and positive ones as many as 47 respondents (51.1%), based on the environment where there are as many as 24 respondents (26.1%) and those who support 68 respondents (73.9%), based on Information Technology, there were 31 respondents (33.7%) and 61 respondents (66.3%) made use of it.
