Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMA kelas X dalam memecahkan masalah SPLTV. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester genap tahun 2020/2021. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskripstif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini ada 31 orang dari kelas X IPA1. Proses pemilihan subjek dengan menggunakan nilai rata-rata ulangan harian. Metode pengumpulan data adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian bahwa kemampuan siswa kelas X SMA berada pada kategori rendah dengan persentase 43,01%. Kemampuan berpikir kritis untuk aspek interpretasi dengan persentase 38,71%, aspek analisis dengan persentase 58,06%, aspek inferensi dengan persentase 41,94%, aspek penjelasan 9,68%, dan aspek regulasi diri dengan persentase 48,39% berada pada kategori rendah sedangkan aspek evaluasi yang berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase 61,29%. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya, agar meneliti faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi rendahnya kemampuan bepikir kritis pada jenjang SMA/sederajat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan capaian kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal tipe PISA konten change and relationship. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes kemampuan literasi matematis dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas X SMAN Mojoagung Tahun Pelajaran 2021/2022 yang masing-masing satu orang berkemampuan tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Data yang didapatkan kemudian direduksi dan dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan memperhatikan indikator-indikator kemampuan proses matematis siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa berkemampuan tinggi mampu menunjukkan kemampuan literasi matematis yang baik, yakni siswa mampu memenuhi ketiga aspek proses matematis yakni formulate, employ dan interprete dengan baik. Siswa berkemampuan sedang hanya mampu memenuhi dua indikator pada aspek proses matematis yakni formulate dan employ. Siswa berkemampuan rendah tidak dapat memenuhi seluruh indikator pada aspek proses matematis, siswa berkemampuan rendah hanya memenuhi satu aspek proses matematis yakni formulate. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya, agar meneliti faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi rendahnya kemampuan literasi matematis pada jenjang SMA/sederajat.

Abstract

21st century mathematics learning is learning that refers to the four learning characters formulated in 4C, namely communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving, creativity and innovation. One important aspect that needs to be improved is mathematical communication skills. This can be seen from the results of initial observations that the mathematical communication skills of students are still relatively low. This type of research is classroom action research with the aim to improve students' mathematical communication skills through the cooperative learning model gallery walk type. The research subjects were 32 students of semester V offering 2017 2017 State University of Malang 2019/2020 academic year. The material used is the limit function and derived functions. The results showed that the mathematical ability test scores in cycle I and cycle II were 69.6 and 78.1. The percentage of students who completed the first cycle and the second cycle was 67.5% and 80%. Based on the results of Cycle I and Cycle II, it can be seen that studying with a gallery walk type cooperative learning model can improve the mathematical communication skills of semester V students offering E 2017 2017 State University of Malang 2019/2020 academic year.

Abstract

Representation is the interpretation of students' thinking to a problem in the form of words or verbal, text, tables, graphs, or symbols of mathematics as an aid instrument to solve problems. Representation is an important process standard in mathematics learning. There are 3 representation process standards in learning. One of the materials that requires the ability of representation at junior high school level is relation. This study aimed at describing the mathematical representation process standard in learning mathematics in relation material. This study used a qualitative approach to the type of descriptive research. The research procedures in this article were (1) designing learning instruments, (2) implementing learning design in peer teaching, (3) conducting learning analysis related to the abilities. The results of the study showed that the first process standard was seen in apperception activity, Activity 1 on LKS (student worksheet), Activity 2 on LKS (student worksheet), group presentations, and exercises. The second process standard was seen prominently in the exercise activities, while the third process standard was seen prominently in Activity 2 on LKS (student worksheet). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the three process standards have been seen in almost all learning activities

Abstract

Keterampilan proses berpikir matematis mahasiswa masih rendah dikarenakan siswa kurang memahami persoalan secara kontekstual. Salah satu jenis asesmen yang digunakan untuk mengukur keterampilan proses berpikir matematis dalam pembelajaran matematika yaitu asesmen kinerja. Asesmen ini kemudian diintegrasikan dengan pada pembelajaran PjBL berbasis etnomatematika. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk membuktikan kelayakan model asesmen kinerja pada pembelajaran etnomatematika berbasis proyek untuk mengukur keterampilan proses berpikir matematis mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu tiga orang validator yang ahli dalam bidang evaluasi pendidikan matematika, pembelajaran matematika, dan etnomatematika. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu angket validasi. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar validasi ahli untuk menilai prosedur, panduan, dan instrument asesmen kinerja pada pembelajaran PjBL berbasis etnomatematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan validitas isi yang diperoleh dari ahli mendapatkan nilai sebesar 3,67 pada prosedur asesmen, panduan asesmen sebesar 3,85, dan instrumen asesmen sebesar 3,85. Perangkat dan instrumen tes termasuk pada kriteria sangat layak. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif yaitu dengan cara menentukan rata-rata skor penilaian kemudian mendeskripsikan penilaian perangkat dan instrumen pembelajaran dari validator. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa model asesmen kinerja pada pembelajaran etnomatematika berbasis proyek layak digunakan untuk mengukur keterampilan proses berpikir matematis mahasiswa. Students' mathematical thinking process skills are still low because students do not understand the problem contextually. One type of assessment used to measure mathematical thinking process skills in mathematics learning is a performance assessment. This assessment is then integrated with ethnomathematics-based PjBL learning. The purpose of this study was to test the performance appraisal model in project-based ethnomathematical learning to measure students' thinking process skills. The type of research used in this research is development research. The subjects of this research are three validators who are experts in evaluating mathematics education, learning mathematics, and ethnomathematics. The data collection technique in this study is a validation questionnaire. The instrument in this study is an expert validation sheet to assess procedures, guidelines, and performance assessment instruments in ethnomathematics-based PjBL learning. The results showed that the validity obtained from the expert was 3.67 in the assessment procedure, the assessment guide was 3.85, and the assessment instrument was 3.85. The test kits and instruments include very feasible criteria. The data analysis technique was carried out qualitatively, namely by determining the average score of the assessment and then describing the learning tools and instruments from the validator. Thus, the performance keyword in project-based ethnomathematical learning is appropriate to be used to measure students' thinking skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the condition of the online class, especially the activeness of students during the synchronous and asynchronous learning process. This study is also to determine the increase in student learning outcomes on vektor material. Learning uses the Group to Group Exchange (GGE) model in online classes and blended learning assisted by WhatsApp. This study uses a classroom action research design which consists of two cycles. The research subjects were students of Class X MIPA 1 SMAN 1 Jetis Ponorogo. Data on student activity includes discussion activities (asking or answering questions), presentations, and giving responses. This data was collected through observation sheets. Data about student learning outcomes are obtained through written tests or quizzes after the cycle takes place. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods. The results of the analysis showed an increase in activity and learning outcomes after learning using the GGE steps. GGE consists of (1) material distribution; (2) group distribution; (3) group discussion in the WA group; (4) presentation and group responses in the class WA group; and (5) evaluation. Class action taken in the form of reshuffling group members and face-to-face meetings. Student activity increased, in cycle I when online using WhatsApp, all student activities were recorded on WhatsApp chat only 54%. Group discussions in the WA group were less than optimal and presentations using photo sharing and voice notes were also less than optimal. While in the second cycle when blended learning, group discussions using WhatsApp group and face-to-face while face-to-face presentations, student activity became 88%. The learning outcomes of students whose scores are greater than the KKM increased from 24% in the first cycle to 72% in the second cycle, with the class average increasing from 48.48 to 81.76. The results of this study indicate that using a GGE based on WhatsApp-assisted blended learning can significantly increase student activity and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Geometry is one of the most important branches of mathematics. At the junior high school level there are several geometry materials taught, including triangles and quadrilaterals. However, in the field, it was found that many students still made mistakes in solving geometry problems. Errors are deviations from the correct solution of a problem, both conceptually and in the procedure for solving it. Errors in solving geometry problems can be used as a reference to find out what difficulties are made by students. One of the efforts in helping students who have difficulty in solving geometry problems is by analyzing the results of students' completion of the problems given. The purpose of this study was to determine the types and causes of student errors in solving geometry problems. This study used a qualitative approach by using a test question instrument. The subjects of this study were 3 of 33 students of class VII A MTs Surya Buana Malang. From the results of the analysis of student answers and interviews conducted, it was obtained data that the types of errors made by students included: conceptual errors, procedural errors and errors in understanding the questions. Conceptual errors made by students include: error types of triangles, properties of quadrilaterals, definitions of quadrilaterals, concepts of operations on numbers, and concepts of perimeter and area of triangles and quadrilaterals. Procedural errors made by students are errors in giving units of circumference or area and calculation errors. And errors in understanding the problem. While the causes of these errors include students who are less able to distinguish between angles and line segments, are less able to distinguish types of triangles based on angles and based on sides, do not understand the concept of operations on numbers, are less precise, do not understand the difference in area and the number of angles in triangles, lack of variety of questions. given by the teacher and do not understand the perimeter and area of a quadrilateral.

Abstract

Koneksi matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang penting untuk dimiliki siswa dalam belajar matematika. Dengan kemampuan koneksi, siswa dapat menghubungkan antar konsep matematika, antara konsep matematika dengan ilmu lain dan dengan dunia nyata. Artikel ini berisi hasil penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dalam pembelajaran di kelas pada materi logaritma. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan dalam bentuk observasi dan analisis pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMAN Taruna Nala Malang sebanyak 30 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi pada proses pembelajaran di kelas. Data hasil observasi kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematis yang baik pada saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Siswa dapat mengaitkan materi logaritma dengan materi matematika yang lain serta dapat mengaitkan materi matematika dengan suatu permasalahan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.Kata kunci: pembelajaran matematika, koneksi matematis, logaritma.

Abstract

Pemahaman matematis adalah kemampuan yang penting untuk dimiliki siswa. Namun demikian pemahaman matematis siswa secara umum masih rendah. Artikel ini berisi tentang hasil penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman matematis siswa. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA F4 SMAN 5 Malang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 2 siklus dengan 4 pertemuan tiap siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model penemuan terbimbing dapat meningkatkan pemahaman matematis siswa pada materi turunan. Hasil dari tes pemahaman matematis siswa mengalami peningkatan dari rata-rata hasil tes pada siklus I yaitu 70.1 menjadi 85.54 pada siklus II. Dari penelitian ini disarankan untuk para guru untuk memberikan pengetahuan prasyarat untuk materi yang akan diajarkan supaya siswa bisa memprediksi apa yang akan dipelajari. Selain itu guru disarankan memberi scaffolding secara khusus kepada siswa supaya siswa lebih aktif dalam berdiskusi dan dapat membangun pengetahuannya sendiri.

Abstract

HOTS menjadi salah satu reformasi dan prioritas penerapan pembelajaran di Indonesia. Hasil wawancara bersama teman sejawat didapatkan informasi bahwa peserta didik sulit memahami materi Persamaan dan Fungsi Kuadrat. Kesulitan ini terjadi karena peserta didik sering menghafal rumus dalam menemukan akar-akar atau menyelesaikan persamaan kuadrat. LKPD yang digunakan saat ini rata-rata berisi materi, contoh soal, latihan, dan jarang mengajak peserta didik menemukan konsep. Peneliti memandang perlu dikembangkan LKPD berciri penemuan terbimbing secara daring materi Persamaan dan Fungsi Kuadrat yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif. Berpedoman pada model pengembangan Plomp, dengan menguji validitas, praktis dan efektivitas LKPD dalam pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata kepraktisan dari observer adalah 3.0, artinya LKPD yang digunakan praktis dengan tingkat kepraktisan tinggi. Rerata respon peserta didik melalui angket sebesar 3.67 menunjukkan sikap yang positif, dan rerata penguasaan bahan ajar 79.56 dengan tingkat ketuntasan 78% menunjukkan bahwa LKPD Guide Discovery berbasis HOTS efektif.HOTS is one of the reforms and priorities for implementing learning in Indonesia. The results of interviews with colleagues obtained information that students had difficulty understanding the material on Quadratic Equations and Functions. This difficulty occurs because students often memorize formulas in finding roots or solving quadratic equations. LKPD is currently used on average contains material, sample questions, and exercises, and rarely invites students to find concepts. Researchers consider it necessary to develop LKPD characterized by the online guided discovery of Quadratic Equations and Functions that meet the valid, practical, and effective criteria. Guided by the Plomp development model, by testing the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of LKPD in learning. The results showed that the average practicality of the observers was 3.0, meaning that the worksheets used were practical with a high level of practicality. The average student response through a questionnaire of 3.67 shows a positive attitude, and the average mastery of teaching materials is 79.56 with a completeness level of 78% indicating that the HOTS-based LKPD Guide Discovery is effective.
