Abstract

Teacher professionalism is a crucial factor in improving the quality of education, particularly at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) and elementary school (SD) levels. In practice, the development of professionalism is not solely dependent on individual capabilities but is also influenced by teacher collaboration and participation in Teacher Learning Communities. This study aims to analyze teachers’ perceptions of professionalism and examine the role of collaboration and Teacher Learning Communities in enhancing teacher professionalism. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects of the study are MI/SD teachers involved in collaborative activities and learning communities, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that teachers have a comprehensive understanding of professionalism, encompassing competencies, attitudes, and a commitment to continuous learning. Teacher collaboration through discussions, teamwork, and experience sharing has been shown to improve teaching competence and reflective practices. Furthermore, Teacher Learning Communities significantly contribute to fostering a sustainable learning culture and enhancing teachers’ confidence in teaching. Therefore, collaboration and Teacher Learning Communities play an essential role in supporting teacher professionalism at the MI/SD level.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the role of kyai leadership in reforming the pesantren education system to make it more adaptive to the challenges of the modern era. The kyai functions not only as a spiritual guide but also as an educational leader responsible for curriculum direction, innovation, and institutional management. This study adopts a literature review method by analyzing relevant journals and academic literature from the last five years. The findings indicate that kyai who apply transformational leadership styles can integrate Islamic values with modern demands, such as comprehensive curriculum design, digital technology utilization, and character building. These efforts contribute to making pesantren education more adaptive, competitive, and relevant to current societal needs. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kepemimpinan kyai dalam mereformasi sistem pendidikan pesantren agar lebih adaptif terhadap tantangan era modern. Kyai tidak hanya berperan sebagai pemimpin spiritual, tetapi juga sebagai manajer pendidikan yang menentukan arah kebijakan, kurikulum, dan inovasi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian pustaka terhadap literatur dan jurnal ilmiah lima tahun terakhir. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa kyai yang menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional mampu mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai keislaman dengan tuntutan zaman, seperti penguatan kurikulum terpadu, pemanfaatan teknologi digital, dan pengembangan karakter santri. Perubahan ini berdampak pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan pesantren yang lebih adaptif, kompetitif, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat saat ini.

Abstract

Generation Alpha, born after 2010, has unique traits as digital natives. They need a different educational system. However, in the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) setting, there is a significant gap between students' visual-interactive learning styles and the traditional teaching skills of teachers. Objective: This study aims to look at the learning style traits of generation Alpha, pinpoint the challenges MI teachers face, and create a relevant teacher competency framework for the digital age. Methods: This research uses a qualitative approach through library research, combining various sources related to generation Alpha education and TPACK competency. Results: The findings show that generation Alpha prefers visual learning, has a short attention span, and can multitask, but they are also at risk for character decline and low social empathy. The main challenges for MI teachers include limited digital skills, inadequate infrastructure, and heavy administrative tasks. As a solution, a teacher competency framework was developed, combining Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), Social Constructivism Theory, and the reinforcement of Islamic moral values. Conclusion: Changing teachers from traditional instructors to digital facilitators, who also provide spiritual guidance (digital parenting), is crucial for successful education in today's Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis strategi branding sekolah Islam melalui media sosial serta dampaknya terhadap citra lembaga pendidikan Islam di era digital. Penggunaan media sosial sebagai instrumen branding telah menjadi fenomena yang semakin masif di kalangan lembaga pendidikan Islam, mulai dari madrasah, sekolah Islam terpadu, hingga pesantren modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka (library research) yang mengumpulkan dan menganalisis literatur ilmiah yang relevan dengan tema branding pendidikan Islam, media sosial, dan citra lembaga. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis tematik model Braun dan Clarke yang meliputi enam tahapan: familiarisasi data, pembuatan kode inisial, pencarian tema, peninjauan tema, definisi dan penamaan tema, serta produksi laporan akhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi branding sekolah Islam melalui media sosial meliputi tiga dimensi utama, yaitu: (1) strategi konten kreatif dan konsisten yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai keislaman dengan kebutuhan komunikasi digital, (2) pemanfaatan berbagai platform media sosial secara terintegrasi untuk menjangkau target audiens yang lebih luas, dan (3) interaksi dua arah yang membangun hubungan emosional antara lembaga dan masyarakat. Dampak implementasi strategi branding tersebut terhadap citra lembaga menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam hal daya tarik pendaftaran, kepercayaan publik, dan reputasi institusi. Namun demikian, terdapat tantangan yang perlu diantisipasi, termasuk risiko konten negatif, konsistensi identitas visual, serta kapasitas sumber daya manusia dalam mengelola media sosial secara profesional

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the implementation of the Mudharabah Muthlaqah contract in the Tarawi Savings Program as a mechanism for collecting charitable funds at BMT NU Glenmore Branch. The Tarawi Savings Program, also known as the Ukhrawi Savings Program, is a saving product based on the Mudharabah Muthlaqah contract that enables members to save while simultaneously engaging in charitable activities without reducing their principal balance. This research employs a qualitative method through field observations, interviews, and documentation analysis. The findings indicate that the management of the Tarawi Savings Program at BMT NU Glenmore has been carried out effectively, transparently, and in accordance with sharia principles. All collected funds are accurately recorded in the administrative system and managed to generate profit, which is subsequently distributed to the poor, orphans, and other social beneficiaries. The strategy for collecting charitable funds includes excellent customer service, a deposit pick-up system, and religious based approaches that encourage member participation. The profit-sharing system where 50% of the profit is allocated to social and charitable activities allows members to contribute sustainably to social welfare. Members are motivated to participate because of spiritual values, social concern, and the belief that saving through the Tarawi Savings Program brings both worldly and ukhrawi (spiritual) benefits. Overall, the Tarawi Savings Program serves as an innovative sharia-based financial service that successfully integrates economic and social functions, empowers the community, and strengthens public trust in BMT NU Glenmore.
