Abstract

Poros baling-baling kapal memegang peran krusial dalam sistem propulsi, mengalirkan tenaga dari mesin utama ke baling-baling untuk menciptakan daya dorong. Poros ini menopang beban tarik dan puntir yang dapat menyebabkan kegagalan fatik pada material. Fokus utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu ada pada uji tarik Stainless Steel (SS 304), Stainless Steel (SS 316), dan Stainless Steel (SS 316L) sebagai bahan poros baling-baling kapal, dengan tujuan memastikan kecocokannya sesuai standar Badan Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI). Spesimen uji dibentuk sesuai ASTM A370 dan dianalisis dengan mesin UTM (Universal testing machine). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SS 304 memiliki kekuatan tarik maksimum 800,4 MPa dengan kekuatan luluh 692,4 MPa, SS 316 dengan kekuatan tarik 769,9 MPa dan kekuatan luluh 553 MPa, serta SS 316L dengan kekuatan tarik 706,2 MPa dan kekuatan luluh 567,5 MPa. SS 304 menonjol sebagai pilihan superior berdasarkan nilai kekuatan. Uji kekuatan tarik telah memenuhi standar BKI, menandakan bahwa SS 304 dapat diandalkan sebagai bahan poros baling-baling. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan kritis terkait performa material dalam lingkungan maritim, memberikan kontribusi penting pada pengembangan teknologi kapal yang aman dan efisien.

Abstract

The Islamic calendar, which is based on the lunar cycle, plays a vital role in determining the timing of religious observances such as Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, and Eid al-Adha. Differences in methods for determining the beginning of the lunar month often lead to a lack of synchronization among Muslims worldwide. Muhammadiyah offers a solution through the Unified Global Hijri Calendar (KHGT), which is unifying in nature and based on contemporary astronomical calculations (hisab hakiki). A community service program was carried out at the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PDM) of Pangkep to enhance public literacy regarding the KHGT and improve the astronomical calculation skills of Muhammadiyah members. This was achieved through awareness campaigns, training sessions, and the distribution of pocketbooks. The results of the program showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of the KHGT concept. The KHGT not only addresses the need for a standardized Islamic calendar but also strengthens Islamic brotherhood (ukhuwah Islamiyah) and unity among the ummah. It is hoped that this training will produce human resources capable of disseminating KHGT knowledge at the branch and grassroots levels.

Abstract

This Research was conducted to (1) Determine the influence of education leveland minimum wages on labor absorption in 13 districts/cities in South KalimantanProvince; (2) Determine the most dominant factor in influencing labor absorption inthe Province of South Kalimantan.This Research is included in the type of quantitative descriptive Research.While the location of this study is 13 districts / cities in South Kalimantan Province,and the object of this study is the data of education level and minimum wage in SouthKalimantan during 2014 - 2018. The data obtained is then processed using panel dataregression analysis with fixed-effect models using the EVIEWS 10 program.The results of this Research indicate that (1) The level of education andminimum wages simultaneously have a significant effect on labor absorption in theProvince of South Kalimantan in 2014 - 2018; (2) The results of this study alsoindicate that the level of education is the most dominant factor affecting laborabsorption in South Kalimantan in 2014 – 2018

Abstract

Muhammadiyah's determination of Fajr prayer time using a sun angle of -18° has elicited varied responses from the community. This study aims to analyze Muhammadiyah’s scientific approach and the accompanying social dynamics. The research employed a qualitative case-study method, involving literature studies, field observations, and semi-structured interviews with religious leaders and congregants at Muhammadiyah mosques in Makassar City. Key findings indicate that 76.19% of Muhammadiyah Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM) members accept the Muhammadiyah Central Board’s criteria for determining Fajr time; however, only 66.67% have implemented these criteria. This moderate implementation rate reflects a significant gap between theoretical acceptance and practical application, indicating issues of community readiness and internal communication effectiveness. Supporting factors for implementation include the availability of recent astronomical data, Muhammadiyah's spirit of tajdīd (renewal), and the integrity of falak (Islamic astronomy) methodology. Conversely, limiting factors include low public literacy, insufficient socialization at mosque-level, and congregants’ apprehension about change due to unfamiliarity with the revised criteria. Analysis based on maqāṣid al-sharī'ah is relevant in this context. Principles such as ḥifẓ al-dīn (preserving religion), ḥifẓ al-nafs (maintaining inner peace), and ḥifẓ al-‘aql (maintaining rationality) are essential considerations in contemporary ijtihad. This approach ensures that religious renewal, including the revision of Fajr prayer time, is valid in terms of Islamic law, ethical, educational, and socially acceptable. The implication of this study is the necessity to integrate astronomical aspects with strategic socialization and educational programs to enable rational acceptance of Islamic legal transformations and reduce community resistance effectively.

Abstract

Challenges in procuring wood as the primary material for ships have led to a decline in overall quality. Meeting the demands of shipbuilding often involves neglecting consideration for the quality and characteristics of construction materials. Additionally, the shipbuilding process commonly overlooks technical and operational aspects associated with construction specifications. Ship damages frequently result from the selection of wood types, sizes, and ages that do not meet construction criteria or fall below the standards for achieving optimal construction. Many ship constructions are identified that fail to meet the requirements for ensuring the safety and security of the crew, ship, and cargo during operations. This research aims to numerically assess the transverse strength of fishing vessels operating in Penajam Paser Utara using Ansys software. Survey results indicate an average size of fishing boats in this area as 10 – 20  meters in length. 2.6 - 3.5 meters in width, and 1.6 – 2.5 meters in height. The stress analysis results from Ansys Workbench were recorded at 2.3402 MPa

Abstract

The formation of children's character is a fundamental aspect of individual development, in which discipline becomes one of the essential values that must be instilled from an early age. This study aims to analyze the influence of parenting styles on the development of children's discipline, particularly at the elementary school age. The method used is a literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data from various relevant journals and scientific articles. The results of the study show that democratic parenting has a significant positive impact on children's learning motivation and discipline. Children raised in a supportive environment where they are involved in decision-making processes tend to be more independent and responsible. Conversely, authoritarian and permissive parenting styles show negative impacts. Children raised with an authoritarian approach often face challenges in social interactions and tend to have low self-confidence, while permissive parenting may result in low levels of independence and social skills. In conclusion, the application of a balanced and democratic parenting style is crucial in supporting the development of children's disciplinary character. Therefore, parents, teachers, and policymakers should design more targeted educational approaches.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran memainkan peranan penting dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara yang dilakukan kepada guru bahasa Jerman di Sulawesi Selatan diperoleh informasi bahwa sebagian besar guru hanya menggunakan metode mengajar yang konvensional dan cinderung menggunakan media pembelajaran yang sama untuk segala situasi dan kondisi tanpa memperhatikan kebutuhan siswa dan materi yang diajarkan. Oleh sebab itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru Bahasa Jerman dalam memanfaatkan teknologi mobile learning sebagai media pembelajaran yang inovatif, interaktif, dan sesuai dengan siswa generasi Z. Penggunaan perangkat mobile learning menjadi kebutuhan dalam mengatasi keterbatasan ruang dan waktu. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah para guru Bahasa Jerman yang belum optimal dalam menggunakan aplikasi mobile learning sebagai sarana pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini menggunakan beberapa tahapan yaitu, penyampaian materi, demonstrasi aplikasi mobile learning, serta praktik langsung oleh peserta. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan, pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam merancang serta mengimplementasukan strategi pembelajaran bahasa Jerman berbasis mobile learning. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif terhadap kualitas pembelajaran Bahasa Jerman dan mendorong adopsi teknologi dalam dunia pendidikan secara lebih luas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana kualitas dan kredibilitas akun Instagram @abouttng berpengaruh terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi para pengikutnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan paradigma positivisme. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode non-probability sampling, khususnya purposive sampling, yang menargetkan pengikut akun @abouttng selama periode penelitian Maret–Agustus 2023, dengan total 1 juta pengikut. Penentuan ukuran sampel dilakukan menggunakan Rumus Slovin dengan tingkat kesalahan sebesar 5%, sehingga diperoleh 400 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas informasi yang disajikan oleh akun Instagram @abouttng berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi pengikutnya. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui hasil uji T yang menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,004, sehingga Ho1 ditolak dan Ha1 diterima. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga membuktikan adanya pengaruh signifikan kredibilitas akun Instagram @abouttng terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi pengikutnya, yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 dalam uji T, sehingga Ho2 ditolak dan Ha2 diterima. Uji koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa kualitas informasi dan kredibilitas akun Instagram @abouttng secara bersama-sama memberikan kontribusi sebesar 23,4% terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi para pengikutnya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the Effect of Working Capital and Labor on Sales of Traditional Snack Businesses (Case Study on Home Businesses in Kelayu Village, Selong District, East Lombok Regency). The type of research used was a quantitative approach with primary data. The population was 32 traders, with details of 5 semprong snacks, 2 elephant ear snacks, 4 keciput snacks, 3 bangkit snacks, 3 tujeq snacks, 3 tempani snacks, 5 tempeyek snacks, 4 shallot snacks, 1 temberodok snack and 2 sticky rice tepe traders. The data collection techniques used were observation and questionnaires in the form of questionnaires containing questions about Working Capital, Labor and Sales. The analysis tool used was multiple linear analysis using the SPSS version 25 program, which was continued with the godness of fit test (t-test). The results of this study indicate that working capital has a significant effect on sales of traditional snack businesses. Labor has a significant effect on sales of traditional snack businesses. Research findings indicate that working capital is the most important part in running a business, the capital owned will greatly affect sales and business development.
