Abstract

I'rab learning is one of the aspects that must be studied by a student to help read the Yellow Book, but in fact, there was some student who have difficulty to the understanding  I'rab, therefore, it is necessary to research to find out these problems. This research aims to identify whether the problems of students and teachers in this I'rab learning. This research uses a qualitative method with the case study type, data sources were taken to eight informants through direct interviews using a set of interview protocols. All the data were analyzed thematically using NVivo 12 Software. The research findings found nine main themes about the problems of students and teachers in I'rab learning. The nine themes consist of three problematic students themes: i) low vocabulary mastery (مفردات), ii) difficulty in I'rab sentences (جملة) in the Yellow Book, iii) lack of mastery of I'rab terms. Furthermore, the six teachers of problematic themes in I'rab learning include: iv) the teacher not teaching according to the ability of the students, v) less varied learning, vi) learning is only centered in one direction (Teacher Center), vii) teachers placement by expertise, viii) teachers changes frequently, and ix) mastering the concept of learning by the teacher was lacking. The results of this research can be used as preliminary data for future researchers in examining these problems in the context of different issues.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang ada di lapangan di SDN 09 Air Tawar Barat Padang, ditemukan masih banyak peserta didik yang kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika dalam materi operasi hitung campuran. Kesulitan muncul ketika peserta didik harus menerapkan, memikirkan konsep, dan prosedur untuk memecahkan masalah. Masalah yang sering dihadapi peserta didik saat menyelesaikan soal matematika adalah kemampuannya dalam memahami struktur masalah yang terdapat dalam soal cerita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: “a) kesulitan-kesulitan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita. b) Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan peserta didik kesulitan dalam mengerjakan soal cerita matematika.” Metode penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian kualitatif merupakan penelitian yang menggunakan latar alamiah, Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus. Teknik dan instrumen pengambilan datanya yaitu menggunakan observasi, tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap peserta didik di SDN 09 Air Tawar Barat Padang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peserta didik kesulitan dalam mengubah kalimat soal ke dalam bentuk kalimat matematika, dikarenakan peserta didik kesulitan dalam memahami masalah, sehingga peserta didik salah dalam langkah selanjutnya pada soal cerita matematika. Faktor penyebabnya yaitu Peserta didik kurang menguasai materi yang diberikan dan peserta didik jarang berlatih dalam mengerjakan soal.

Abstract

This research explores the creation of Virtual Reality (VR)-based learning tools for Islamic religious education in Integrated Islamic elementary schools. Following a Research and Development (R&D) methodology, the study employs a six-stage approach: investigation, strategizing, enhancement, assessment, realization, and evaluation (ISI-ARE). The resulting product, a VR-based educational module for teaching the Hajj, undergoes rigorous validation by two VR and animation experts, along with an Islamic religious education teacher. Subsequently, the VR-based learning material is tested on 140 students across four Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools (SDIT) in Padang. Student responses are meticulously collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS version 26.0 software.The outcomes affirm unanimous validation from the three evaluators, establishing the suitability of this media for instructional purposes. Additionally, the analysis identifies eight key aspects of student feedback related to VR-based learning, including comprehensibility of materials, clarity of instructional content, visually stimulating presentation, enjoyable and engaging experiences, a sense of realism, eagerness for repeated VR media utilization, and user-friendly accessibility. This pioneering use of VR-based learning significantly enhances the concreteness, authenticity, and enjoyment of the learning process, introducing novel dimensions and experiences to students. It emphasizes the need to continue designing and developing various VR-based resources to strengthen the teaching of Islamic principles.

Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying cases among students in schools has significantly increased in Indonesia. It has become a trending topic in daily news in various national media both related to the perpetrators and victims of the bullying. Islamic religious education teachers should also be responsible to educate learners to behave based on religious values believed as an alternative to prevent bullying behavior. The study is aimed at identifying how Islamic religion teachers should participate in preventing bullying among students. This study employs a qualitative method of  a phenomenological approach. The data was collected through in-depth individual interviews and group discussions with thirty informants consisting of fifteen Islamic religious education teachers, five principals, five parents and five students in fifteen elementary schools in one of the provinces in Indonesia. To enrich  the main data, the author also conducted a direct observation related to how the actions taken by teachers in preventing bullying. All interview and observation data were thematically analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model assisted by NVivo software. The research findings reveal five themes of Islamic religion teachers' attitudes in preventing bullying among students: i) instilling mutual respect among students, ii) modeling how to get along based on religious values, iii) thematically linking all religious subject matter to prevent bullying behavior, iv) socializing the adverse effects of bullying to the victims, v) working with all school members to develop work strategies to prevent bullying, vi) involving parents as ambassadors of children without bullying behavior. These six attitudes are real examples of how religious teachers respond to prevent bullying.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh permasalahan. Pertama, guru memiliki file portofolio di dalam kelas sebagai bahan untuk penilaian hasil belajar peserta didik, tetapi guru Sejarah belum melaksanakannya dengan baik. Kedua, guru menggunakan portofolio sebagai bahan untuk melihat keefektifan peserta didik dalam belajar sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan portofolio. Penelitian ini bertujuan dapat mengetahui bagaimana Pemanfaatan Portofolio dalam Penilaian Hasil Belajar sejarah Peserta Didik di sekolah menengah atas (SMA) Negeri 2 Bukittinggi. Untuk mencapai tujuan diatas, penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah guru Sejarah yaitu ibu Adjuaryra Roviydjastepharelindis dan juga peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Negeri 2 Bukittinggi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi lapangan, wawancara, serta studi dokumentasi, uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi data. Data meliputi reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan serta verifikasinya.Dari hasil penelitian di peroleh bahwa pada saat pelaksanaan penilaian portofolio dan saat melakukan wawancara dengan peserta didik kelas XI IPS 1 dan guru Sejarah Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Negeri 2 Bukittinggi. Adapun isi dari portofolio yaitu (1) catatan, (2) penilaian harian, (3) ujian tengah semester, dan (4) ujian akhir semester yang diurut sesuai tanggal. Pelaksanaan penilaian portofolio juga efisien dan efektif dilakukan dalam penilaian hasil belajar peserta didik, hal ini terlihat dari peserta didik yang tepat waktu dalam mengumpulkan tugas-tugas, serta tujuan penilaian portofolio yang telah ditetapkan oleh guru Sejarah sebelum memulai pembelajaran. Penilaian portofolio ini dilihat dari kelengkapan isi dari portofolio. Portofolio juga membantu dan memudahkan guru dalam menilai kelebihan dan kekurangan peserta didik, serta memudahkan guru dalam menentukan nilai akhir peserta didik.

Abstract

Islamic studies in public university are merely learnt by college students during one term, meanwhile, the Islamic studies is indeed expected to form the intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual intelligences. However, these intelligence’s types are not easy to be reached in a relatively short time since the deep study is required to be done to view the progress. In relation toward this research, the researcher only focuses to the discussion of the achievement aspect of social brilliance after finishing the Islamic studies. This research used the quantitative method by using survey as a rapprochement. The source of the data was taken through questionnaire that was filled in by four hundred students who had accomplished their studies in one of the public universities in Indonesia. The data were then analyzed descriptively by using SPSS 18.0 version. Overall, the research’s result depicted those Islamic studies during study has been able to form six of social intelligence and they are 1) increasing the attitude to help each other, 2) appreciating the other people’s view, 3) behaving well, 4) speaking politely, 5) being able to keep the relationship with new friends, and 6) respecting the older people. From this research, it can be concluded that although the students studied the Islamic studies concisely, otherwise the result showed that the students had righteous impression and it was capable to construct the student’s social intelligence, as it is known that the social intelligence is one of the key success to accomplish the study in university.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the competence of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in conducting learning evaluations at SD Islam Kreatif Makkah in Padang City. Effective learning evaluation is considered crucial in enhancing overall educational quality. The research seeks to address gaps in understanding PAI teachers' competencies specifically related to learning evaluation. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation studies with PAI teachers at the school under study. Findings indicate that PAI teachers' competencies in learning evaluation tend to vary. Despite possessing strong theoretical knowledge, there are weaknesses in the practical application of learning evaluation. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of enhancing PAI teachers' practical evaluation skills through targeted training. It is anticipated that this approach can improve overall educational outcomes at SD Islam Kreatif Makkah in Padang City, and potentially in similar contexts at other schools. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki kompetensi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam melakukan evaluasi pembelajaran di SD Islam Kreatif Makkah Kota Padang. Evaluasi pembelajaran yang efektif dianggap krusial dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengisi kesenjangan dalam pemahaman mengenai kompetensi guru PAI dalam konteks evaluasi pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi terhadap guru PAI di sekolah yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi guru PAI dalam evaluasi pembelajaran cenderung bervariasi. Meskipun memiliki pengetahuan teoretis yang kuat, terdapat kelemahan dalam penerapan praktis evaluasi pembelajaran. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya peningkatan keterampilan evaluasi praktis guru PAI melalui pelatihan yang ditargetkan. Dengan demikian, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan hasil pendidikan secara menyeluruh di SD Islam Kreatif Makkah Kota Padang dan mungkin juga di sekolah lainnya dengan konteks serupa. Abstract

Children's education is the responsibility of every parent; therefore parents must be able to provide the best quality education for their children, including choosing an educational institution, one of which is the State Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah. This study aims to analyze the motivation of parents to choose religious education institutions as a means of children's education. This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach, data sources were taken from fifteen informants through direct interviews using a set of interview protocols. All data were analyzed thematically using the Miles and Huberman technique. Overall, the study results show five main themes of parents' motivation to choose Madrasah Ibtidaiyaah Negeri as their child's educational institution. The five themes are: i) prioritizing religious learning and general learning, ii) emphasizing character education through religious activities iii) students are able to apply Islamic norms in everyday life, iv) complete infrastructure facilities in Madrasahs, and v) environmental atmosphere nice madrasa. The results of this study can be used as initial data for future researchers in studying parental motivation in the context of different issues.

Abstract

Based on result of the research that has been done, The implementation of fiqih learning evaluation at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah Alamanda has achieved a number of achievements but still faces some challenges. The evaluation is conducted holistically, covering the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of the student. Teachers use various evaluation methods, such as written exams, observations, and projects. The challenges involved limited resources and the use of technology for evaluation. Furthermore, the adaptation of curricula to the evolution of the times and the needs of students became a major concern in improving the effectiveness of the evaluation of fiqih learning. The research recommendations include expanding the use of technology in evaluation, developing training programs for teachers related to evaluation, and improving the curriculum to meet the ever-growing needs of students. By making these improvements, it is hoped that the evaluation of fiqih learning in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah Alamanda can be more effective in producing an optimal quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of android game to improve impaired hearing students vocabulary mastery at one of Special Schools in Padang City, Indonesia. This study used quantitative research method with Single Subject Research (SRR) approach, the research data was taken from one impaired hearing student through seventeen direct lessons using android game. All the data that the authors obtained were analyzed descriptively using visual graph analysis tools, this method of analysis is one of the techniques for analyzing Single Subject Research. The results of the study showed that the use of Android game as a learning media significantly improved the impaired hearing student vocabulary mastery. This increase in ability is proved by the initial test scores of the participants at a score of 10, 10, 20, 20, 20, this score is the score before learning by using android game. Furthermore, after the author did seven times direct treatment, it was found that the students’ scores increased to 40, 50, 70, 80, 70, 70, 70, even students were able to obtain final self-evaluation scores with a score of 50, 70, 100, 100, 100. The results of this study proved that the use of android gamehas succeeded in increasing the vocabulary mastery of impaired hearing students
