Abstract

This article examines the living Qur’an and hadith through programmatic activities in madrasah ibtidaiyah (MI). During this time, the study of living Qur’an and hadith is dominated by the area of social research, both within the scope of certain communities and the wider community. In fact, this study is important to be developed in educational institutions, as an effort to restore the “spirit” of Islamic education and to make the Al-Qur’an hadith “living text” in MI. For this reason, this study analyzes al-Qur’an hadith learning and and programmed activities at MI Nurul Ummah. The main data was obtained through interviews, observations and study of documents focused on routines, rituals, and moral guidance in MI. The focus of these activities, in terms of oral, aural, writing, and attitude aspects. Thus, fulfilling the four aspects of something is referred to as the effort to live the Qur’an and hadith.

Abstract

Bali is one of the most popular destinations chosen by foreign tourists for their visits to Indonesia. Accordingly, Bali often is the primary basis by which foreigners assess the entire nation. Tourist attention is drawn to Bali’s natural beauty and its cultural exoticism. They show various perspectives on Balinese religious and cultural life, those that are generally closely related to Hinduism and tourism. Through qualitative approach, this study aims to analysis the religious life of the Muslim communities in Bali for completing the various viewpoints while revealing another side of Balinese exoticism. The Gelgel village of Klungkung regency is a longestablished village inhabited by Muslims in the midst of strong influences of Hinduism. This village is of interest as the oldest Muslim village in Bali to be accorded designation as a banjar dinas, and even while having a slim territory. Notably, the people in the village are generally able to live peaceably side-by-side with adherents of other religions. This is enabled through local wisdoms that have allowed and encouraged harmony withcastle, temple, and Balinese customs.

Abstract

Historically, the current Islamic thought is essentially a continuation of the result of Islamic thought theorizing that peaked in the Golden ages (III - V H). As a consequence of bayaniyyun domination the product of Islamic thought in the Golden ages has succeeded to build an image that Islamic Arabic thought inherited by us currently is nothing but an "Islamic law" civilization. This can be viewed from epistemological fact; the wriggle of Islamic Arabic thought is always present at the firm hegemony of bayani reason structure attaining a supremacy momentum from Islamic humanism and scholasticism movements.Furthermore, the bayani reason structure has subsequently permeated into Islamic education as a cultural "reason" for education at that time. Then, this permeating has caused appearing of "the religious-conservative" education school that less is appreciated to every rational impact from "outside", so that tends to make marginal intellectual sciences. It was natural in its development, "intellectualism" becomes overcast from the realm of Moslem consciousness. This reality has been made worse by madrasa as a par excellence institution in the Islamic world that has changed its function as only a "wagon" mover of bayani tradition. This article tries to investigate the process of awakening of bayani epistemology and its linkage with Islamic Education in the Golden ages with Islamic education in the Golden ages.

Abstract

There are some scholars, such as Clifford Geertz, Geoffrey Robinson and Miquel Covarubbias who pay much attention to the patterns of the religious and cultural life of Balinese. They show various perspectives on Balinese religious and cultural lives, those that are generally closely related to Hinduism and tourism. For this reason, a study on the religious life of the Muslim communities in Bali is interesting because it represents various viewpoints while revealing another side of Balinese exoticism. Pegayaman Muslim village of Buleleng regency is an old village inhabited by Muslims amidst strong Hindu influences. This village is unique and recognized as one of the oldest Muslim villages in Bali. In general, the people in this village are able to live side by side peacefully with the adherents of other religions through local wisdom by building harmony with puri(castle), pura (temple), and Balinese customs, like actualization of Menyama Beraya in daily life and Sokok Base that are presented at procession of Maulid festival every year.

Abstract

Abstract: These research aims to identify and explain Wasathiyah Islamic Values ​​(NISWA) on the theme of Nusantara Islam in the MTS Level SKI Student Book published by the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia in 2015 and 2020 as well as to explain the similarities and differences along with the factors that cause them. As a library research, the data collection technique of this research is through documentation with content analysis techniques in analyzing the data. The results showed that there was NISWA in the two Student Books. This study also shows that there are similarities in the context of NISWA development which include the quantity and type of NISWA, one-to-one correspondence with several NISWA, the spirit of dynamics and creativity through the development of NISWA, the use of a consistent cultural approach and the selection of figures in the learning materials. The difference is seen in the total quantity of NISWA and the focus of its development in each chapter. The factors that cause differences in the development of NISWA in the two Student Books are the direction of the basic paradigm, reference sources and the distinction of Islam Nusantara in the form of material about Islamic boarding schools which is only found in the 2020 Student Book Published.

Abstract

Worship gives peace of mind to its adherents, worship also makes the distance between God and humans close. Indonesian people in performing religious rituals or what is commonly referred to as worship have their own way, usually, there is a sector sect in Islam that makes Muslims worship different ways according to the guidelines held, although they have differences in practising worship, Muslims still within the established scope of the law. This study aims to find out how Muslims pray and the differences. This research uses the literature review method. The results in this study, praying in a way that is believed by each individual according to the guidelines they hold respectively. The differences in performing these worship procedures exist and do not make Muslims divided because both have a foundation in doing so.

Abstract

Islamic education has been considered the number two education of public education. Starting from aspects of the quality of education to the funding of education itself. In this paper the author analyzes critically the book of Islamic education philosophy by Muhammad As Said. The results of the analysis showed that the book of Islamic education philosophy by Muhammad As Said, did not explain clearly the origin of the philosophy of Islamic education. In the book, it cites and discusses the philosophy of western education. This book also explains that general philosophy has a very close relationship with the philosophy of education because education is the executor of philosophical views and rules in the field of humanitarian experience called education. However, it is not explained the relationship between Islamic philosophy and Islamic education philosophy and has not been clearly seen the basic framework of islamic education philosophy building. The content of the book also discusses more common philosophical issues such as idealism, neoskolatism realism, pragmatism, and existentialism.

Abstract

Penjajahan memiliki dampak yang sangat kuat terhadap sistem pendidikan di Indonesia sehingga mendorong Ki Hajar Dewantara untuk melakukan langkah revolusioner untuk mengubahnya. Menurut pandangannya, sistem pendidikan Indonesia harus dibangun berdasarkan pada budaya nasional dan pengembangan karakter yang mendorong kesadaran siswa untuk memegang teguh falsafah hidup nasional. Sistem pendidikan yang mengedepankan among di antara guru dan siswa lebih cocok untuk diterapkan bagi masyarakat Indonesia. Selain itu, Ki Hajar Dewantara juga menyusun tri pusat pendidikan dan trilogi kepemimpinan pendidikan. Trilogy kepemimpinan pendidikan yang dimaksud adalaj Ing Ngarsa Sun Tulada (di depan guru memberikan teladan), Ing Madya Mangun Karsa (di tengah guru menciptakan karsa dan ide), dan Tut Wuri Handayani (di belakang guru memberikan dorongan untuk maju). Apakah nilai-nilai tersebut relevan dengan kondisi pandemi covid-19? Artikel ini menggunakan metode kajian pustaka untuk menunjukkan relevansi nilai-nilai Ki Hajar Dewantara di masa pademi. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi nilai-nilai pendidikan Ki Hajar Dewantara masih relevan di masa pandemic covid-19. Berdasarkan konsep tri pusat pendidikan, para orang tua merupakan pengganti guru selama belajar di rumah. Selain itu, berdasarkan trilogi kepemimpinan pendidikan, para orang tua memiliki peran yang sama dengan guru di sekolah.

Abstract

Local wisdom is recognized as a vital social capital in empowering society. This has showed by the achievement of KWT Dewi Sri in enlarging it’s public role through adaptive strategies. In a pluralistic society, with a poor of socio-economical condition after the earthquake, certainly it was a difficult for the women to empower theirselves, their families, and their society. But such unlucky conditions have been managed successfully by KWT Dewi, even they  have stepped forward like the incarnation of Dewi Sri(Sri godless)  that in Javanese mythology being convinced as a source of prosperity for farming of villagers, and gradually have succeeded in refuting a view of feminization of poverty.

Abstract

Akhlak merupakan sebuah sistem yang mengatur tindakan dan pola sikap manusia dalam menjalani kehidupan sehari-hari. Dalam ajaran agama Islam, sistem nilai tersebut merupakan sumber ijtihad sebagai salah satu metode berpikir secara islami. Ajaran Islam mengenai akhlak begitu luas cakupannya meliputi bagaimana seseorang berinteraksi terhadap sesamanya maupun sang pencipta. Demikianlah pentingnya akhlak dalam Islam hingga hal-hal kecil pun tetap diajarkan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan akhlak dan muamalah secara eksplisit dalam konteks ajaran Islam. Dengan demikian, tulisan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran kita mengenai apa yang telah Islam ajarkan dari segala macam aspek kehidupan demi tercapainya kesejahteraan kehidupan di dunia maupun di akhirat.
