Abstract

The Qur'an was the handbook of Muslims to guide and direct the lives of Muslims throughout the world. In addition, the Al-Quran was also a basic reference or source in determining law in all aspects of life. Muslims were required to read, study, and practice the contents of the Qur'an. The existence of the Qur'an began to appear since the messenger of Allah Swt, namely Muhammad bin Abdullah Saw, received revelations sent through the angel Gabriel to inform orders, prohibitions, news, descriptions of unseen things and tell the previous people and determine the law for an incident that occurred. there at that time. The essence of studying the Koran was to understand deeply and in detail about the Koran, so the right effort for this was to understand asbabun nuzul. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with a focus on literature study. Thus, this study explained in detail about Nuzulul Qur'an, Sabab An-Nuzul and Tafsir Ilmi.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of education, particularly Islamic Religious Education, in addressing gender issues and inequalities faced by women in various aspects of life. Gender, as a social construction, is different from biological sex and plays an important role in social and cultural dynamics. This research, which is descriptive-critical in nature, uses a literature approach to analyze data sources and related literature. The main focus is on how education, especially Islamic religious education, can be used as a tool to combat ingrained gender prejudices and stereotypes in society. Islamic Educationis seen as a means to spread the values of equality, freedom, democracy and justice, and to overcome gender-biased interpretations of religious texts. The article emphasizes the importance of an inclusive and gender justice based curriculum in shaping young people's attitudes and understanding of gender issues. This includes addressing gender stereotypes in educational materials and promoting critical thinking among students. In addition, this article highlights the need to recognize that the challenges in realizing gender equality lie not only in education, but also in social and cultural practices. Therefore, it is proposed that gender justice-based Islamic Educationcan be a catalyst in promoting a more balanced and inclusive understanding of gender roles, which is essential for the development of a more tolerant, just and egalitarian society.

Abstract

This research aims to explore local wisdom in a pluralistic society that has been employed by the Female Farmers Group (Kelompok Wanita Tani), also called KWT Dewi Sri, in taking a social role for empowering rural cross-faith women in the hamlet of Kemasan. To implement its vision for local prosperity, KWT Dewi Sri has helped rural women by facilitating socio-empowerment services and informal education for those who are in need. KWT Dewi Sri has given interreligious social services so that the women can build social harmony and thus overcome the cynical assumption that poverty is the fate of being a woman. While embracing the value of benevolent citizenship, KWT Dewi Sri has persuaded these interfaith women to use rational choices to eradicate prejudice against others in general and stigmatisation against women in particular. This research used the qualitative approach with empirical inquiry to explore the females’ accounts of empowering their fellow women and maintaining social harmony in the hamlet. The findings showed that by using adaptive strategies, KWT Dewi Sri demonstrated the benefits of applying preventive programs to counter the take for granted-assumption that being female always necessitates impoverishment. Amid such help and success, many women in the hamlet hold a view, as in Javanese mythology, that KWT Dewi Sri is the reincarnation of the goddess of prosperity (Dewi Sri) descended to empower the local women. This research will discuss the cultural values of KWT Dewi Sri in establishing harmonious lives among people of the hamlet and in empowering the local women, and the obstacles KWT Dewi Sri encounters in embracing its roles.

Abstract

Kupang City, located in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province, stands out for its notable success in fostering tolerance among religious communities. Its significance lies in (a) being the largest city in NTT, (b) having a longstanding history of Islamic development, and (c) the proclamation of local leaders demonstrating a firm commitment to preserving Kupang as an exemplar of religious harmony. In light of these aspects, the authors conducted qualitative field research on Muslim village communities in Kupang to explore how harmony is maintained among religious groups. This research is based on the theoretical assumption that understanding the world requires a native point of approach, relying on the researcher's perspective. The findings reveal that a crucial foundation for harmony among religious communities is the residents' highly tolerant attitude, reflecting the active tolerance embedded in local wisdom. This local wisdom is further reinforced by the recognition of diversity as a defining feature of Kupang City's identity. The actualization of this value is evident in religious and cultural traditions, exemplified by the Siripuan tradition in Airmata Village. The dynamic nature of harmony among religious communities is underscored, with one contributing factor being the lower positive feelings experienced by minorities compared to the majority. Addressing this discrepancy is crucial for anticipating and mitigating potential challenges among Muslim minorities.

These research findings are: (1) the reason Pesantren al-Maqbul still insists on maintaining the traditional education system cannot be separated from the construction of its educational philosophy; (2) the influence of the educational ontology basis of the Pesantren al-Maqbul on its educational goals can be identified from the tendency of monism which places Allah's revelation in the form of Al-Qur'an Hadith as the only authoritative source of knowledge; (3) the influence of the educational epistemological foundation of Pesantren al-Maqbul on its educational goals can be seen from Bayani's tendencies in its epistemology; (4) the influence of the axiological basis (values) on the educational goals of the Pesantren al-Maqbul can be seen from the tendency of Irfani's reasoning, which is visible in the Pesantren al-Maqbul.

Abstract

This article examines multicultural education through the lens of Amin Abdullah, a notable Indonesian Muslim scholar. Using a descriptive-qualitative approach, it reviews his works to elucidate his perspective. Abdullah’s ideas address Indonesia’s diverse social and cultural landscape, emphasizing intercultural understanding and tolerance, particularly in the post-Suharto era, marked by the resurgence of ethnic and religious identities. The article defines multicultural education and its goals, explores the influence of organizations like Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama on Abdullah’s thought, and discusses the implications for Indonesian education. It advocates for inclusive curricula, tolerance promotion, teacher training, and multicultural materials, while addressing challenges such as resistance from conservative groups. Integrating perspectives from other scholars, it offers a comparative analysis within the broader discourse on multicultural education, enhancing understanding of integrating cultural and religious diversity into Indonesian education, while noting potential limitations and practical application difficulties

Abstract

The research explores the efficacy of MPQu-Berkah, a harakah-based digital media, in enhancing tajwid skills among schoolchildren (Elementary Students), specifically focusing on Makhārijul hurūf and Ṣifātul hurūf. Utilizing a Nonequivalent Pretest-posttest Control Group Design, the study compares the tajwid proficiency of students engaging with MPQu-Berkah to those following traditional learning methods. The methodology encompasses pretests and posttests, alongside an independent t-test for statistical analysis, to evaluate the impact of the learning media on Quranic reading accuracy and fluency. Findings reveal a significant improvement in the experimental group's tajwid abilities, highlighted by an 11% average competency increase, evidencing MPQu-Berkah's effectiveness. The developed media, tailored for elementary education in the digital era, features audio-visual content designed to facilitate accessible and engaging tajwid learning. Despite the positive outcomes, the study acknowledges limitations due to its experimental setting and suggests future research to investigate the wider application and sustained impact of digital learning tools in religious education. This research underlines the potential for integrating multimedia tools in educational curricula, proposing a shift towards technology-enhanced learning environments to cater to the digital-native generation's needs. The findings advocate for a paradigm change in Quranic education, indicating that technological integration can substantially improve learning outcomes, contributing to the fields of educational technology and linguistic skill teaching.
