Abstract

This research is conducted using 4 lines data with 750 meters in length. Tomography resistivity with Wenner-Schlumberger configuration is used as this research methodology to take the data with a = 50 meters and n=1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Resistivitymeter OYO 2119C McOHM-ELmodel is used as the instrument. Furthermore, the data is processed with two softwares; Res2Dinv ver. 3.56.22 to get 2D resistivity section and RockWork16to make 3D model of the site. The underground river’s chamber is made by hollow carbonate rocks with the resistivity of >412 Ωmand 117,6 Ωm – 412 Ωm for limestone’s resistivity as its capsrock. Researching to the depth of 173 meters, underground rivers are shown in the line 2 in the depth of 65 to 134 meters, 65 to 173 meters in the line 3, and in the cross section of line 3 and line 4. While in the first trajectory, another chamber is found within the depth of 12.5 to 40 meters. It is expected that the underground river is flowing to the south because of the chamber in third and fourth trajectory are lower than second trajectory.

Abstract

Non-conventional hydrocarbon exploration is one way to develop shale potential to increase oil and gas reserves in Indonesia. Shale is a rock that is rich in organic material and is a target for non-conventional exploration, because it functions as a source and reservoir rock with a large shale volume and low permeability. Isopach maps can represent the thickness of shale layers and have the potential to become non-conventional exploration targets located in thick shale layers. Based on this background, this research will identify shale layers in the offshore fields of the North East Java Basin for non-conventional oil and gas exploration. The methods used are well logging and seismic methods. This research focuses on determining the location of shale layer depocenters based on isopach maps as a first step in localizing areas that will be targeted for the development of non-conventional hydrocarbon exploration. This research uses 29 2D seismic lines and 2 well data, namely NP-1 and NP-2 wells and the research target is the Kujung Formation and Ngimbang Formation in the offshore area of the North East Java Basin. The results obtained from the isopach map show that the depocenter location of the Kujung Formation is in the northwest direction with a shale thickness of 600-800 meters, while the Ngimbang Formation is in the east direction with a shale thickness of 1000-1300 meters. From the depocenter location, it can be seen that this location has a wealth of organic material so it has the potential to become a source rock and reservoir.

Abstract

The geophysics test using electrical resistivity method has been conducted in the area of UNS Campus to indicate the lithological of subsurface. This method is categorized as a Non-Destructive Test (NDT) due to the data acquisition is done at the ground level and no destruction during the test, which is more advantageous than destructive method such as drilling and SPT test. This study was performed with Schlumberger configuration in three location by electrical resistivity sounding. The acquisition data uses Resistivity meter OYO 2119 McOHM-EL with the track length is 100 m, while the data processing use IPI2Win to get a logarithmic graph between distance and resistivity and Origin to obtain graphic of resistivity and SPT. The result of this study indicates that electrical resistivity has a good correlation with SPT data. The electrical resistivity graph shows a linear increase along with increment of the depth, which is similar to the SPT graph. The slope difference at the first location is 2.44±1,197, the second location is 2.028±0.822, and the third location is 0.622±0.735.

Abstract

In the context of new energy exploration, oil shale is currently a source of energy that is being developed so that it can be used as an alternative energy in the future. Based on this background, it is important to research the conversion method of oil shale to liquid hydrocarbons. The method used is using clay (kaolinite) catalyst and  iron (Fe)-pillared clay (kaolinite) catalyst. Clay catalyst products are capable of making organic mature faster and even requiring a lower temperature for the changes (through thermal cracking of non-volatile organic material). The addition of Fe metal in the clay catalyst product to oil shale, causing the surface area of the natural clays were significantly increased, then the volume of micro pore were also increased, it causes the organic material to mature faster and the temperature required for the change is less than the shale material without Fe. The catalyst method by the pillarization technique able to increase the surface area and pore volume, thus accelerating the reaction and changing the reaction rate to be greater. It is observed that clay catalyst products can serve as catalysts for accelerating organic maturation reactions. if compared between the clay material  of OD1-Ast1 (50% clay-50% organic), OD1-Ast2 (33% clay-67% organic), and the OD1-Ast3 shale material (67% clay - 33% organic),then OD1-Ast3 has a faster reaction rate. Comparison of clay material is smaller than organic, then the properties of the catalyst product to accelerate the reaction are reduced, such as the OD1-Ast2 shale material has a slow reaction rate compared to the OD1-Ast3 shale material. The addition of Fe metal in the clay catalyst product to the OD1-Ast2 shale material, resulting in OD1-Ast2-Fe shale material (75% OD1-Ast2 and 25% Fe) having a faster reaction rate than before the addition of Fe metal. The design of heavy (%) clay (kaolinite) and Fe pilaration on oil shale were greatly influence the change of TOC values when heated, then affecting maturation and Tmax. The temperature of maturation and Tmax as the main parameters of conversion of oil shale to liquid hydrocarbon. This method supports the development of science and technology in the field of exploitation and processing of natural resources.

Abstract

Abstract: In this paper, we discuss a tool to detect potholes on highways. This tool uses ultrasonic sensors to detect potholes. Ultrasonic sensors will detect the depth of the road so that data is obtained in the form of length, width, and height of the road hole. Then the position data is used to calculate the volume of holes on the road by multiplying the maximum number of holes, the maximum width of the holes, and the average depth of the holes and the results are displayed on the LCD. In the series of sensors, the sensors are arranged in parallel with the program that contains the standard distance of the sensor to detect objects. If the distance detected by the sensor exceeds the standard distance, it is counted as a pothole.

Abstract

The role of tobacco in economic conditions in Indonesia is very large considering the amount of excise tax applied as state revenue. The higher the production and export of tobacco, the higher the state revenue. The study aims to explain the influence of domestic tobacco price factors, tobacco export prices, tobacco production, rupiah exchange rate, real Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and tobacco product excise on the volume of tobacco exports in Jember Regency. This type of research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research uses monthly time series secondary data from 2019 to 2021. The data is analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software program. The results of the research show domestic tobacco prices, tobacco export prices, tobacco production, rupiah exchange rate, real GDP, and excise on tobacco products together have a significant effect on the volume of tobacco exports in Jember Regency. The partial test shows that domestic prices and tobacco export prices influence the volume of tobacco exports. These two variables are influential because price decreases and increases will always be related to the level of demand which will also affect export volume.
