Abstract

Pembangunan Jalur Lintas Selatan (JLS) Lot 3 Blitar berada pada kawasan berbukit dengan kondisi tanah yang bervariasi, sehingga diperlukan analisis stabilitas lereng yang akurat untuk menjamin keamanan konstruksi. Perbedaan nilai faktor keamanan (Factor of Safety/FoS) antar metode analisis dapat memengaruhi keputusan desain, terutama pada proyek infrastruktur berskala besar. Selain itu, ketidakstabilan lereng berpotensi menimbulkan risiko keselamatan, kerugian material, dan penundaan konstruksi jika tidak ditangani dengan tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan nilai FoS antara Metode Bishop Simplified dan Metode Janbu Simplified menggunakan software Rocscience Slide 6.0 berdasarkan beberapa section lereng dan tiga kondisi analisis, yaitu kering, jenuh, dan berbeban. Pemodelan dilakukan menggunakan geometri desain dan parameter tanah hasil investigasi lapangan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Metode Bishop memberikan nilai FoS lebih tinggi dibandingkan Metode Janbu, dengan selisih 1,40%–31,15% pada analisis per section, di mana area paling kritis berada pada section 3 yang membutuhkan perhatian khusus dalam perencanaan perkuatan lereng. Pada analisis full section, perbedaan FoS antara kedua metode mencapai 25,64% pada kondisi kering, 28,07% pada kondisi jenuh, dan 32,78% pada kondisi berbeban. Secara keseluruhan, Metode Janbu memberikan hasil yang lebih konservatif, sedangkan Metode Bishop menghasilkan nilai FoS lebih besar pada seluruh kondisi. Hasil tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa pemilihan metode analisis harus disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan spesifikasi desain dan kondisi lapangan dalam penilaian stabilitas lereng JLS Lot 3 Blitar.

Abstract

Electric vehicle (EV) adoption is increasing with increasing awareness of clean energy and environmental concerns. However, range anxiety, the uncertainty in estimating driving range, remains a major barrier. This study aims to develop a predictive model for EV range based on technical specifications to provide more accurate estimates and alleviate user concerns. A Machine Learning approach is applied, using Random Forest for feature selection and XGBoost as the primary prediction algorithm. The dataset consists of 478 EV records with 22 attributes, including battery capacity, efficiency, dimensions, and speed. Key features affecting range prediction include battery_capacity_kWh, efficiency_wh_per_km, and height_mm. The XGBoost model demonstrates strong predictive performance with an R² of 0.978, an MAE of 10.555, and an RMSE of 15.180. These results suggest that combining Random Forest and XGBoost offers a promising solution to improve the accuracy of EV range estimation, potentially reducing range anxiety and supporting wider EV adoption

Abstract

This study investigates the electrochemical performance of a biobattery using orange peel extract as the electrolyte. Four experimental groups were evaluated using fresh and dried orange peel matrices combined with either distilled water or seawater. Open-circuit voltage (Voc), short-circuit current (Isc), and power density were measured. All instruments were calibrated prior to testing. The results show that citrus waste can generate measurable electrical energy, with Voc ranging from 0.83 V to 1.36 V and Isc ranging from 0.26 mA to 0.54 mA. Maximum power density achieved was 73 μW/cm². The findings demonstrate that orange-peel-derived electrolytes are promising sustainable alternatives for low-power applications.

Abstract

Fruit peel waste is an abundant organic waste that can be utilized as a raw material for eco-enzyme production through fermentation. Eco-enzymes contain various fermentation-derived metabolites with the potential to function as environmentally friendly biological agents for wastewater treatment. This study aimed to evaluate the physicochemical characteristics of eco-enzymes produced from pineapple, orange, and papaya peels and to investigate their effects on the physicochemical characteristics of commercial textile dye solutions. Eco-enzymes were synthesized using a fruit peel, brown sugar, and water ratio of 3:1:10 (w/v) and fermented for 30 days. The eco-enzymes were characterized by measuring Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), pH, and Electrical Conductivity (EC) before and after fermentation. Subsequently, 50 mL of each eco-enzyme was added to 100 mL of commercial textile dye solution, and the mixtures were monitored for 72 hours. The results showed that fermentation reduced the pH of all eco-enzymes from 4.00 to 2.67 for pineapple peel, from 6.83 to 3.54 for orange peel, and from 5.29 to 2.82 for papaya peel. Variations in TDS and EC values indicated that the type of fruit peel influenced the physicochemical properties of the resulting eco-enzyme. Application of the eco-enzymes to commercial textile dye solutions reduced TDS values in all treatments. Orange peel eco-enzyme exhibited the highest TDS reduction efficiency, reaching 50.46% after 72 hours, followed by pineapple peel (43.39%) and papaya peel (41.62%). These findings indicate that fruit peel-derived eco-enzymes have promising potential as environmentally friendly biological agents for modifying the physicochemical characteristics of commercial textile dye solutions.
