Abstract

Robusta green coffee contains a large quantity and variety of polyphenols and flavonoids which are known to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. This research to investigate the immunomodulatory activity of Robusta green coffee extract on macrophage activity stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and lymphocyte proliferation. Macrophages were isolated from mice peritoneal tissue, and Lymphocytes were isolated from lymph organs. The immunomodulatory activity on macrophages was evaluated based on Active Phagocytes Cells (APC) and the proliferation of lymphocytes was evaluated by the MTT Assay which was previously given extracts with varying concentrations (20 µg/ml, 40 µg/ml, 50 µg/ml, 60 µg/ml, 70 µg/ml), then the data were analyzed by ANOVA (α=0.05). The aqueous extracts of Robusta green coffee significantly affects macrophage activity and lymphocyte proliferation in vitro. The extract was decrease the percentage of phagocytosis (PP) macrophage stimulated with LPS, however there was increase phagocytosis capacity (PC) and lymphocyte proliferation stimulation index is 3, illustrating the extract has a low immunomodulatory effect on lymphocyte proliferation. Based on these results, Robusta green coffee extract holds potential as an immunomodulatory agent, affecting against macrophage phagocytosis and lymphocyte proliferation.

Abstract

This research objective was to analyse the influence of special supervising teachers' classroom management on creating inclusive student learning motivation in urban areas. This research used quantitative methods with a case study approach. A sampling of special supervisor teachers for inclusive classes in Serang City or urban areas. Data analysis used hypothesis testing with SPSS software version 23.00 with correlation between variables. The research results showed a positive influence between the class management of the class supervisor on creating inclusive student learning motivation with an influence contribution of 70.9%. The results showed a significant influence between accompanying teachers' classroom management and student learning motivation in inclusive elementary schools throughout urban areas. The research implied that the better the accompanying teacher's classroom management, the higher contribution to inclusive student learning motivation and vice versa; the less good the accompanying teacher's classroom management, the lower the creation of inclusive student learning motivation.

Abstract

Background. The Grammar-Translation Method (GT) and Audio-Lingual Method (ALM) are two main approaches to English language learning that have long been used in Indonesian university settings. GT emphasizes understanding grammatical structures and classical texts, while ALM focuses on repeated practice and the use of audio as a source of language input. Purpose. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Grammar-Translation and Audio-Lingual Methods in English language learning in Indonesian universities, taking into account the views and experiences of lecturers and students. Method. Data were collected through an online survey asking respondents' opinions regarding the effectiveness of GT and ALM in English language learning. The survey included structured questions about respondents' perceptions of these learning methods. Results. Data analysis showed polarized opinions among respondents regarding the effectiveness of GT and ALM. Most respondents saw GT as effective in understanding language structures and classical texts, while ALM was considered effective in improving speaking and listening skills through repeated practice and audio. Conclusion. As a result of this study, it can be concluded that GT and ALM have their own advantages and disadvantages in English language learning in Indonesian universities. Therefore, a holistic and integrated approach that combines elements of both methods can be the most effective approach in preparing students for effective English communication in various contexts.

Abstract

Legal protection for debtors who use standard clauses in fintech (Financial Technology) agreements and legal certainty for fintech (Financial Technology) debtors. This research is a normative research. The research approach is legislation, conceptual, case. The research method used in this study is using a legal sociology approach with an activity plan carried out in this study for 8 months. The materials used in this study are primary legal materials and secondary legal materials and use data collection techniques used in the form of inventory, systematization and interpretation which are descriptive analysis. The results of the study indicate that the issuance of Law Number 21 of 2011 concerning the financial services authority marks the significant development of legal protection for debtors. Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions in Article 18 paragraph (1) determines that Electronic Transactions are stated in an Electronic Contract that binds debtors in an agreement. So that with the existence of a binding contract, there are legal consequences for the debtors, where the debtors have rights and obligations which if violated or not fulfilled, legal action can be taken in the form of filing a lawsuit either in court or outside the court.

Abstract

Keterampilan berbicara pada siswa kelas V SDN 13 Batu Gadang Kota Padang masih rendah. Kebanyakan siswa cenderung diam saja ketika guru meminta untuk berbicara. Apabila siswa menunjukkan keterampilan berbicara, siswa masih terbata-bata, malu, dan ragu-ragu. Selain itu kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran di kelas. Hal ini tentu membuat proses pembelajaran terhambat sehingga siswa tidak dapat berpartisipasi aktif dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini secara umum adalah menguji pengaruh penggunaan podcast terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V SDN 13 Batu Gadang Kota Padang. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan factorial design 2x2. Kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol dipilih dengan purposive random sampling. Data dianalisis dengan uji t-test dan analisis varian dua arah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara siswa yang diajar dengan penggunaan podcast daripada siswa yang diajar dengan pendekatan konvensional, dan antara kelompok siswa yang bermotivasi belajar tinggi dan rendah

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model, enhanced by video, in improving students' learning outcomes and motivation, specifically in understanding complex physics topics like sound waves. Traditional teaching methods often struggle to engage students with abstract content, creating a need for innovative approaches that bridge theory with practical applications. The CTL model aims to make learning more meaningful by connecting academic material with real-world contexts. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group was employed, involving two randomly selected groups from 50 students at SMAN 1 Masbagik. The experimental group was taught using the CTL model with video assistance, while the control group followed conventional methods. Data collection included learning outcome tests and motivation questionnaires, analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and t-tests to evaluate differences between groups. Results showed that the experimental group achieved a significantly higher posttest average score (78.92) than the control group (74.20), indicating improved comprehension. Additionally, motivation scores in the experimental group averaged 83.5, categorized as "motivated," suggesting increased engagement. The t-test confirmed a statistically significant difference in learning outcomes, underscoring the effectiveness of video-assisted CTL in enhancing both comprehension and motivation. These findings support the integration of video within the CTL model as a valuable educational strategy to create a more interactive, engaging, and effective learning environment. This study offers insights into how technology-enhanced teaching models can address the challenges of modern education and better prepare students for real-world problem-solving.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of integrating the scientific approach within the problem-based learning (PBL) model on students' creative thinking and design thinking skills, specifically in the context of physics education. The primary objective is to evaluate whether this combined approach significantly enhances these higher-order thinking skills compared to conventional teaching methods. A quasi-experimental design was employed with non-equivalent control groups, comprising two eighth-grade classes: an experimental group receiving the PBL model with a scientific approach, and a control group taught using traditional methods. Pretests and posttests were administered to assess the students’ creative and design thinking abilities. Data were analyzed using parametric statistical methods, including normality and homogeneity tests, followed by a paired t-test to evaluate the hypothesis. The results indicated that students in the experimental group showed significantly higher improvements in both creative and design thinking skills compared to the control group. Key dimensions such as comfort with uncertainty, attention to process, and confidence in creativity were notably enhanced in the experimental group. The findings suggest that integrating the scientific approach within PBL fosters an engaging and effective learning environment, promoting not only cognitive development but also collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. These results have important implications for educational practices, highlighting the value of adopting student-centered learning models to equip students with the critical skills needed for future challenges.

Abstract

Desa Pondok Waluh merupakan salah satu desa sasaran PkM-BR kelompok inafas 10. Desa ini terletak di Kecamatan Kencong, Kabupaten Jember. Program kerja yang dilaksanakan oleh mahasiswa PkM-BR di Desa Kencong bertemakan peningkatan potensi sumber daya alam yang diimplementasikan dalam beberapa bidang kegiatan yaitu pendidikan, pelatihan dan sosialisasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Kegiatan PKM-BR ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam peningkatan kemampuan Sumber Daya Manusia agar masyarakat mampu mengelola Sumber Daya Alam yang tersedia di Desa Pondok Waluh secara efektif untuk meningkatkan taraf hidup mereka.

Abstract

Purpose: The community service aims to enhance Natural Science teachers’ knowledge related to learning assessment and their skills in processing data using Rasch analysis. Methodology/approach: The community service runs as hybrid training (offline and online) for a teacher community called a Natural Science MGMP, which included 34 Junior High School Natural Science Teachers in the Sumenep Regency. This activity was carried out as training and mentoring for two days, where participants learned Rasch analysis based on theory and practice. They were then required to fill in the pretest and post-test to obtain data regarding participants’ knowledge and skills related to this training. Results: The results of the pre-test and post-test were analyzed using the paired t-test for the knowledge aspect. There was a significant increase after being given Rasch analysis material, since the standard deviation of the post-test was higher than that of the pre-test. On the other hand, the skill aspect also showed a significant increase after Rasch analysis, with a higher standard deviation after treatment. Furthermore, the N-Gain Score was used to determine the extent to which participants’ knowledge and skills differed after training in the Rasch analysis. Limitations: This community service has several limitations including technical problems and participants. Some participants found it difficult to install and operate Ministep/Winstep because such software is not compatible with their device or new software. Moreover, several teachers did not fill in the pre-test and post-test; hence, it was difficult to assess their progress after the training. Contribution: This program can contribute to improving Natural Science teachers’ knowledge and skills in learning assessment, especially for teachers in Sumenep Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus untuk mengkaji lebih lanjut mengenai pengaturan hukum kekerasan seksual terhadap anak dalam perspektif hukum pidana dan kantaka sodhana serta bagaimana perlindungan hukum yang dilakukan oleh Lembaga Perlindungan Anak Kota Mataram terhadap anak yang menjadi korban kekerasan seksual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara normatif pengaturan hukum kekerasan seksual pada anak dan untuk menganalisis perlindungan hukum yang dilakukan oleh lembaga perlindungan anak dalam menangani permasalahan tersebut. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian hukum normatif-empiris serta pendekatan statute approach, sosiologis, dan conceptual approach. dianalisis dengan menggunakan Teknik deskriptif, argumentatif beserta interpretasi gramatikal. Kekerasan seksual terhadap anak merupakan suatu perbuatan pidana yang merampas hak asasi anak tersebut, serta mengganggu perkembangan anak baik dari segi fisik maupun mental. Dalam hukum pidana kekerasan seksual terhadap anak terbagi menjadi dua yaitu kekerasan seksual secara fisik dan non-fisik pengaturan hukum tersebut terdapat pada KUHP, UU Perlindungan anak dan UU TPKS sedangkan dalam kantaka sodhana kekerasan seksual hanya secara fisik yang diatur pada Manawa Dharmasastra VIII. 345,364,367 dan IX.171. Kemudian terdapat dua perlindungan hukum yang dilakukan oleh Lembaga Perlindungan Anak Kota Mataram terhadap anak korban kekerasan seksual yaitu perlindungan secara preventif dengan melakukan sosialisasi dan penguatan kualitas pelayanan terpadu sedangkan secara represif dengan melakukan advokasi baik hukum maupun medis
