Abstract

Kemampuan menulis dan mempublikasikan artikel ilmiah merupakan salah satu indikator penting dalam profesionalisme guru. Namun, banyak guru, termasuk guru MGMP Fisika di Kabupaten Sidoarjo, yang menghadapi kendala dalam memenuhi tuntutan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh guru MGMP Fisika Kabupaten Sidoarjo dalam menulis dan mempublikasikan artikel ilmiah sebagai bagian dari pengembangan profesionalisme. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengkaji berbagai kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru MGMP Fisika di Kabupaten Sidoarjo dalam menyusun artikel ilmiah. Data diperoleh melalui proses observasi dan wawancara, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan tematik guna menemukan pola-pola permasalahan yang teridentifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat lima kendala utama yang dihadapi oleh guru, yaitu keterbatasan waktu yang disebabkan oleh beban kerja harian yang tinggi, rendahnya keterampilan menulis artikel ilmiah, ketidaktahuan tentang platform publikasi ilmiah, tingginya biaya publikasi, serta minimnya dukungan dari institusi. Selain itu, banyak guru yang kesulitan dalam menyusun artikel yang sesuai dengan kaidah ilmiah, serta kurangnya pemahaman tentang pentingnya publikasi ilmiah dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa menulis dan mempublikasikan artikel ilmiah masih menjadi tantangan signifikan bagi guru MGMP Fisika di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Meskipun Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) sering dilakukan, guru menghadapi kesulitan dalam mengubah hasil penelitian menjadi karya ilmiah yang terpublikasi. Sebagai solusi disarankan perlunya langkah strategis, seperti pelatihan intensif dalam penulisan ilmiah, pendampingan dalam proses publikasi, serta kebijakan institusi yang mendukung pengembangan profesionalisme guru.

Abstract

Masalembu Island is one of the outer islands of the sea area of Sumenep Regency. Most of the population are fishermen from three main tribes: Madurese, Bugis, and Mandar. One of their big problems in education is the large number of children who do not continue their education, either to high school or university level. This qualitative research aims to explore the cultural barriers for the children of Masalembu Island fishermen that cause them not to continue school. The snowball technique produced six participants, namely three children of fishermen, two heads of fishing families, and one teacher. Researchers used semi-structured interviews and observation methods to collect data, which was then analyzed using five techniques carried out iteratively: data collection, data organization, reading and making memos, description and classification, and interpretation. Analysis of research findings produced five main themes regarding the cultural barriers for fishermen's children to continue school: children as economic support for the family, views on the role of women, juvenile delinquency, the passive role of parents, and failure of college graduates to meet cultural expectations. In short, the cultural barriers of Masalembu Island fishermen children in continuing school are related to the mismatch between children's roles at school and their cultural roles in the family.

Abstract

Climate change education is crucial for equipping students to tackle pressing global challenges, yet traditional methods often fail to foster critical thinking (CT) and awareness. This study aimed to develop a digital pedagogical model based on climate change issues integrated with Virtual Reality (VR) technology to enhance students' CT and climate change awareness. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach, involving validation, practicality testing, and effectiveness evaluation. Validity data were obtained through expert validation (involving five validators), while practicality and effectiveness data were gathered through implementation processes involving two observers (evaluating model practicality) and 38 high school students (effectiveness test subjects). Implementation utilized a pretest-posttest design and was analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The findings indicate that the model is valid, with an average validation score of 4.15, and practical, with an implementation score of 4.80 categorized as "very good." The effectiveness test showed significant improvements in students' CT skills, with the average score increasing from the "less critical" to the "moderately critical" category, and in climate change awareness, which rose from the "moderate" to the "high" category. These results highlight the effectiveness of integrating PBL with VR technology in enhancing students’ CT skills and awareness. This study contributes to advancing technology-based education and emphasizes the importance of adopting immersive, problem-based pedagogies in tackling global issues like climate change.

Abstract

This study aimed to assess the validity and effectiveness of a Teaching Factory (TEFA) model based on scientific creativity in enhancing students’ soft skills and fostering sustainable entrepreneurship. The TEFA approach was validated through expert evaluations and tested through two production processes involving 15 university students. The research focused on improving soft skills such as communication, teamwork, creativity, leadership, and time management, alongside sustainable entrepreneurship skills like opportunity identification, resource utilization, and entrepreneurial action. Data were collected using observation sheets and analyzed through descriptive statistics and ANOVA to compare students' performance across the two production processes. The results showed significant improvements in students' soft skills and sustainable entrepreneurship, with the TEFA approach based on scientific creativity proving highly effective. Average soft skill scores increased from "Poor" to "Good" after the intervention, and similar improvements were observed in sustainable entrepreneurship scores. The structured pedagogical cycle employed—encompassing need identification, curriculum development, implementation, evaluation, and reflection—successfully bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in entrepreneurship education. However, a limitation of the study was its small sample size, indicating the need for further research with larger and more diverse populations. These findings suggest that the TEFA approach based on scientific creativity can be a valuable addition to university entrepreneurship programs, better preparing students for the challenges of the global business landscape.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia merupakan prasyarat mutlak untuk mencapai tujuan pembangunan. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia tersebut adalah melalui pendidikan. Pencapaian pendidikan yang lebih dikenal di Indonesia dengan sebutan “Wajib Belajar”, terutama pendidikan dasar (9 th). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif. Pendekatan kuantitatif bertujuan untuk menguji teori, membangun fakta, menunjukan hubungan antar variabel, memberikan deskripsi dan menjabarkan hasilnya. Penelitian ini untuk menguji pengaruh variabel X1 (promosi), variable X2 (mutu sekolah) dan Variabel X3 (fasilitas belajar) berpengaruh terhadap jumlah penerimaan siswa baru (Y) di SMK Al Lathifi Gondang Legi Malang. Alasan dipilihnya jenis penelitian ini karena peneliti ingin mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh variabel X terhadap Y. Kesimpulannya adalah Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara promosi sekolah terhadap jumlah penerimaan siswa baru di SMK Al Lathifi Gondang Legi Malang. Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara mutu sekolah terhadap jumlah penerimaan siswa baru di SMK Al Lathifi Gondang Legi Malang, Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara fasilitas belajar terhadap jumlah penerimaan siswa baru di SMK Al Lathifi Gondang Legi Malang, Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara promosi, mutu sekolah dan fasilitas belajar terhadap jumlah penerimaan siswa baru di SMK Al Lathifi Gondang Legi Malang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of mathematical literacy possessed by students related to the completion of HOTS-type questions found in FPB and KPK content. Written exams, interviews, and documentation are the three data collection methods used in this study. The participants in this study were three children at Grade 4 Elementary School 001 Air Tiris. The level of the students' mathematical abilities ranged from high, medium, and low. The ability to solve problems and frame problems, the ability to apply mathematics, and the ability to communicate are the three components of mathematical literacy skills used in this study. The results of the study show that the use of HOTS-type math problems for learning mathematics improves problem solving, application of mathematics, and communication. According to the introduction to the section, There are still wrong answers, so each student's mathematical literacy is unique. Students have demonstrated the ability to understand and construct problems, particularly in the areas of problem solving and problem formulation. Students' conceptual and procedural problem-solving abilities in mathematics are limited, and this limits their ability to adequately apply mathematics to real-world situations. In terms of communicating, not all students are able to write responses in a logical way. In addition, they do not write down clear problem-solving strategies and do not include conclusions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pemetaan mutu dan perencanaan mutu pada Sistem Penjaminan Mutu Internal (SPMI) di SMA NW Kopang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini sebagai berikut. 1) Pemetaan mutu belum sepenuhnya sesuai Panduan SPMI dan belum mencakup keseluruhan standar pendidikan; (2) Penyusunan program mutu diprioritaskan pada peningkatan kompetensi paedagogik dan kompetensi professional guru melalui workshop di sekolah, penambahan jaringan internet, menambah sarana belajar (LCD), dan mengusahaan tambahan insentif bagi guru yang belum bersertifikat. Program peningkatan mutu tersebut dimasukkan dalam Rencana Kerja Sekolah (RKS). Dari hasil dan pembahasan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa SMA NW Kopang telah melaksanakan SPMI meskipun masih banyak kekurangan. Hal tersebut karena keterbatasan sumber daya sekolah dan kompetensi GTK untuk melaksanaan kelima langkah SPMI yang masih kurang memadai.

Abstract

Acacia sp. is widely cultivated in Indonesia's Industrial Plantation Forests (HTI), but orangutan attacks pose a significant threat to its sustainability. If not addressed, these disturbances can lead to substantial losses in Acacia cultivation, reducing the supply of industrial raw materials and hindering economic opportunities for local communities reliant on HTI development. This research aims to identify effective policy scenarios to mitigate the impact of orangutan attacks while ensuring the protection of these legally safeguarded primates. Utilizing the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), insights were gathered from five experts through questionnaires and interviews, with data analyzed using Expert Choice 11 software. The research focused on PT. 'XX" Pengadan Village, Karangan District, East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan. Based on this research, it was found that a stakeholder commitment approach is vital for managing orangutan interactions. Prioritizing the provision, management, and enrichment of conservation areas can help minimize attacks and support both orangutan conservation and the sustainability of Acacia sp. plantations. This balanced strategy aims to secure habitats for orangutans while safeguarding local livelihoods and promoting sustainable HTI practices.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of Ethno-Physics Learning on enhancing students’ critical thinking skills by integrating indigenous cultural knowledge into the physics curriculum. Traditional physics instruction, which often relies on rote memorization and passive learning, has been found insufficient in developing the analytical and problem-solving abilities necessary for both academic achievement and real-world applications. In contrast, Ethno-Physics Learning contextualizes abstract scientific concepts within culturally relevant frameworks, thereby fostering active inquiry and deeper cognitive engagement. Utilizing a quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent control groups, the research involved Grade 10 students from two classes. The experimental group received instruction on the topic of Work and Energy through Ethno-Physics Learning methods, while the control group experienced conventional lecture-based teaching. Both groups underwent pretesting and posttesting to assess their critical thinking skills across various dimensions, including analysis, inference, evaluation, explanation, and decision-making. Statistical analyses, incorporating tests for normality and homogeneity followed by paired samples t-tests, revealed that although improvements were noted in both groups, the experimental group exhibited significantly greater gains in critical thinking abilities. These findings suggest that integrating local ethnoscience into physics education not only makes scientific theories more accessible and meaningful but also cultivates the higher-order cognitive skills essential for effective problem-solving. The study highlights the transformative potential of Ethno-Physics Learning and recommends its incorporation into science curricula to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes in diverse educational settings.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk menganalisis implementasi kebebasan berserikat menurut Undang undang nomor 21 tahun 2000 dan Urgensi Serikat Pekerja dalam mensejahterakan pekerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan yuridis normatif. Hak berorganisasi dengan membentuk serikat pekerja merupakan hak yang prinsip bagi buruh. Oleh karena itu, undang-undang Nomor 21 Tahun 2000 memberikan perlindungan terhadap hak berorganisasi tersebut. Hal ini tercantum di dalam Pasal 28 sampai dengan Pasal 29. Organisasi buruh dapat bubar maupun dibubarkan menurut ketentuan undang-undang seperti konfederasi serikat buruh mempunyai asas yang bertentangan dengan Pancasila dan Undang-undang Dasar 1945, dan (b) pengurus dan atau anggota atas nama serikat buruh, federasi dan konfederasi serikat buruh terbukti melakukan kejahatan terhadap keamanan negara dan dijatuhi pidana sekurang-kurangnya lima tahun yang telah mempunyai kekuatan hukum tetap. Urgensi Serikat Pekerja/Serikat Buruh dalam upaya mensejahterakan pekerja: pertama, Serikat Pekerja /Serikat Buruh dalam pengelolaan organisasinya belum profesional, sehingga posisi tawar-menawar dengan pengusaha sangat lemah dalam memperjuangkan hak-hak normatif anggotanya untuk dapat hidup sejahtera. eksistensi Serikat Pekerja/Serikat Buruh, masih menghadapi kendala umum dalam melaksanakan kewajibannya mensejahterakan pekerja.
