Abstract

The problem in this study is the responsibility of livestock owners for damage caused by their livestock, in (Sobar Village, Padang Bolak Julu District). Basically, everyone who owns and maintains livestock has full rights and obligations towards their livestock, for the damage caused by these livestock. In the case of damage caused by livestock, the owner of the livestock is obliged to provide compensation to the aggrieved party. This is in accordance with the positive law contained in article 1368 of the Civil Code and in Islamic law contained in surah Al-Baqarah verse 205 and the same is the case with the Perdes village of Sobar. The research method used is field research with a qualitative approach. Data sources consist of primary data, namely the Sobar village community and village officials, while secondary data, namely laws and journals related to the problems discussed in this study. Data collection techniques using interviews and documentation with qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques. The results of the study show that the responsibility of the livestock owner to the injured person is obligatory to compensate based on the agreed rules, but if livestock enter/damage the land but there is no responsibility for the livestock owner, then the land owner has the right to the livestock, because it is compensation from livestock that damage the land. However, in terms of compensation, there are obstacles that are often encountered, namely it is not known for sure who owned the livestock that caused the damage, there is no recognition from livestock owners because they are afraid of compensation. What can be done by landowners to be held accountable for losses caused by livestock through village officials so that they are more assertive in implementing applicable regulations, and specifically make identification marks for each livestock.

Abstract

Masalembu Island is one of the outer islands of the sea area of Sumenep Regency. Most of the population are fishermen from three main tribes: Madurese, Bugis, and Mandar. One of their big problems in education is the large number of children who do not continue their education, either to high school or university level. This qualitative research aims to explore the cultural barriers for the children of Masalembu Island fishermen that cause them not to continue school. The snowball technique produced six participants, namely three children of fishermen, two heads of fishing families, and one teacher. Researchers used semi-structured interviews and observation methods to collect data, which was then analyzed using five techniques carried out iteratively: data collection, data organization, reading and making memos, description and classification, and interpretation. Analysis of research findings produced five main themes regarding the cultural barriers for fishermen's children to continue school: children as economic support for the family, views on the role of women, juvenile delinquency, the passive role of parents, and failure of college graduates to meet cultural expectations. In short, the cultural barriers of Masalembu Island fishermen children in continuing school are related to the mismatch between children's roles at school and their cultural roles in the family.

Abstract

Climate change education is crucial for equipping students to tackle pressing global challenges, yet traditional methods often fail to foster critical thinking (CT) and awareness. This study aimed to develop a digital pedagogical model based on climate change issues integrated with Virtual Reality (VR) technology to enhance students' CT and climate change awareness. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach, involving validation, practicality testing, and effectiveness evaluation. Validity data were obtained through expert validation (involving five validators), while practicality and effectiveness data were gathered through implementation processes involving two observers (evaluating model practicality) and 38 high school students (effectiveness test subjects). Implementation utilized a pretest-posttest design and was analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The findings indicate that the model is valid, with an average validation score of 4.15, and practical, with an implementation score of 4.80 categorized as "very good." The effectiveness test showed significant improvements in students' CT skills, with the average score increasing from the "less critical" to the "moderately critical" category, and in climate change awareness, which rose from the "moderate" to the "high" category. These results highlight the effectiveness of integrating PBL with VR technology in enhancing students’ CT skills and awareness. This study contributes to advancing technology-based education and emphasizes the importance of adopting immersive, problem-based pedagogies in tackling global issues like climate change.

Abstract

This article discusses about a political shari’ah’s view on the implementation of the village’s head election in Daleman-Kedungdung-Sampang. The results of the research conclude that the mechanism of the village’s head election starting from the formation of the committee election, the candidates crawl, the campaign, the voice collecting and counting, and the announcement and the establishment of elected candidates. The election committee has done them according to the procedures and not in conflict with the political shari’ah as well as the Regional Regulation of Sampang No. 5 year 2006 concerning the procedures for the nomination, election, appointment and dismissal of the head of the village. However, in its implementation, there was one of the candidates practiced money politics and intimidation where the money politics is banned by Islamic law, while intimidation violates the basic values of the political shari’ah about welfare. It is not also justified under article 15 of Regional Regulation No. 5, article 15 year 2006 of Sampang. In addition to the money politics and intimidation practice, the village’s head election is also tinged with gambling which is obviously forbidden in Islam. However, the Regional Regulation has not clearly set those practices yet.

Abstract

MSME business actors have a significant role in the Indonesian economy. However, there are still various obstacles faced by MSME business actors, including those related to halal certification literacy. Based on data from the Halal Product Guarantee Organizing Agency (BPJPH), only around 2.8% of MSMEs in Indonesia have been halal certified. The low level of halal certification among MSMEs is caused by a lack of understanding and literacy regarding the procedures and benefits of halal certification. Sipirok Market is one of the traditional markets in Indonesia with the majority of traders selling various food and beverage products, but the majority do not have halal certification. Therefore, it is important to carry out halal certification literacy activities aimed at MSMEs in 'Aisyiyah Branch of Sipirok Market. Data collection was carried out through focus group discussions, observations and questionnaires. Based on an initial survey conducted on 25 MSMEs at Sipirok Market, it was discovered that as many as 18 MSMEs (72%) had not received halal certification from BPJPH. They generally still do not understand the procedures and requirements needed to obtain halal certification. Apart from that, they also don't know the benefits that can be obtained by having halal certification for the products they sell. Based on the results of community service activities, it can be concluded that halal certification literacy for MSME business actors in the Sipirok Market Branch is still relatively low.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) find out and analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the investigation into corruption in the field of procurement of government goods and services in the jurisdiction of the Poso Police and 2) To find out and analyze and evaluate the factors that influence the implementation of the investigation of corruption in the procurement of government goods and services in the jurisdiction of the Poso Police. This study uses a juridical-empirical type of research because the emphasis is on examining the effectiveness of investigations into criminal acts of corruption in the procurement of government goods and services in the jurisdiction of the Poso Police. So, the data needed in this study are primary and secondary. The data collection technique is by conducting interviews to obtain valid data. The results of the study show that: 1) The effectiveness of the Investigation of Corruption Crimes in the Procurement of Government Goods and Services in the jurisdiction of the Poso Police is less effective because of several obstacles such as limited investigator resources, limited laws, limited facilities and infrastructure, and limited information from the community; and 2) Factors influencing corruption law enforcement by investigators from the Poso Police Tipikor Unit in handling corruption cases, namely human resource factors and legal structures, internal and external constraints, while internal constraints are quantity, quality and facilities and infrastructure factors, while external constraints namely Intervention Factors (political) and public support or public trust is still lacking.
