Abstract

The ERP system is an integrated system that supports the core business activities of a company. These activities include manufacturing, logistics, finance and accounting, sales and marketing, and human resources. The ERP system will help related departments in a company to share data and information, cost reduction, and improved management of business processes, which will have an impact on work activities become more efficient and more effective. The method in this research is a case study approach, analysis, evaluation of documents and data collection. This study aims to discuss how the role of the ERP system and changes in work patterns as an effort to improve the performance of companies backed by the role of the ERP system.

Abstract

Technological development that grows so rapidly and the mounting business competition force a company uses technology that can support the work activities quickly and precisely. At this time, the business processes run by XYZ Company is still done manually which hamper the running business processes. This research aims to analyze the company's current business processes, provide functional recommendations, and design an information system for sales, inventory, and purchasing goods that can support the company's operations. The research uses several methods such as literature study, analysis and design of information systems. The study produces an information system for sales, inventory, and purchases which is able to facilitate the transaction recording, up-to-date, and reliable. The results prove that the new system is able to help the company's performance in running several activities in sales, inventory records, and purchase monitoring to support business processes running more quickly and precisely.

Abstract

That optic business is increasingly mushrooming followed by a decrease in market share, forces Optik XYZ to have competent management strategies to achieve a strong position in competing in similar industry. Therefore a study was conducted to provide a structured and systematic analysis of management strategies required by Optik XYZ. Stages of study were initiated by data collection from interviews, literature studies and field studies, followed by qualitative and quantitative analysis and implementation of management strategies. The study generated a formulation of management strategy proper for Optik XYZ. Management strategies formulated in this study can help carrying out the company's activities in decision making, so that the business processes run optimally.

Abstract

This work is aimed at concluding the process of jeruk purut articulation in Sapardi Djoko Damono’s short story: “Daun di Atas Pagar”. Articulation is Stuart Hall’s theory in Cultural Studies which is conceiving cultural or structure as fragments of wholeness. It aimed to fuse two different elements or more and also investigating how ideology find it subject. Articulation means to utter, to forth also against myths while building it. The result is indicated in some cases. First, jeruk purut become an equal culture within autonomy with workers society of the modern city. Second, jeruk purut was no longer as a function only but fused with a meaning. Third, jeruk purut as a meaning have an equal level with the human.

Abstract

The objectives of the research are to find out: (1) the use of figurative language, (2) the function of each figurative language to build the essence of the novel. The research is descriptive qualitative. The research data are the series of events using figurative language. The source is a novel entitled ‘Anak Semua Bangsa’ by Pramoedya Ananta Toer published by Hasta Mitra Jakarta. The research instrument is independent research concentrating on the types and the functions of figurative language. The technique of collecting data is observation; meanwhile, the technique of analyzing data is descriptive qualitative. Based on the analysis, research results can be drawn. Firstly, 70 (97.2%) of 72 figurative languages are a figure of speech. Secondly, 35 (50%) of 70 figure of speech, are simile and epic simile, 6 (8.6%) hyperbolic, and 1 (1.4%) synecdoche. The functions of simile are to express purity, surprise, and description. The functions of metaphor are to raise internal emotion and build concrete sense. The dominant functions of personification are to revive imagination, explain elaboration, and reflect the inanimate objects. The functions of hyperbolic are to strengthen the meaning and empower the impression. The function of synecdoche is to point out the essential part of an object.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the process and form of resistance done by the natives to colonialism. This study belongs to qualitative descriptive research. The data are in the form of units of event containing the relations that include the process and form of resistance made by the natives to colonialism.  The qualitative data used in this research are collected through observation, while the source of the data is a document in the form of novel Jejak Langkah published by Hasta Mitra Jakarta. The instrument used in this research is the researcher himself equipped with a set of postcolonial theory, particularly the concepts of mimicry and resistance. The technique used in collecting the data is observation, while the technique applied in analyzing the data is qualitative, descriptive, and interpretative one on the basis of postcolonial theories, mainly the theories of mimicry and resistance. In this novel, the resistance of the natives is done by the figure of resistance, that is Minke. The process of resistance begins with soft resistance called mimicry (language of technology and life devices,livelihood systems, arts, and systems of knowledge/ways of thinking). After reaching the power of quality to resist, the resistance is done radically, both through actual actions and textual productions.

Abstract

This paper is a journal review that became the main reference research of Penelitian Dosen Pemula, Ristek Dikti 2017 entitled "Desain Pembelajaran Kelas Anti-Klithih Berbasis Intrapersonal Intelligence dengan Media Audio-Visual Pada SMA/SMK/Sederajat Se-Kabupaten Bantul". The selected journals are the last three (3) years of recent journals on violence, learning, and school curriculum. Journals are international journals obtained through ebscohost and google scholar with the keywords: bullying in schools and school violence. As a result, the six journals each encourage constructive learning design efforts that take into account the role of social, democratic leadership, expertise, multiculturalism, and regulation

Abstract

Ayuak is a vocal technique used by traditional pedendang in dendang ratok, this ayuak technique is very distinctive in giving dendang ratok paninggahan melodic ornaments. In its history this art was once performed when a family member of the Paninggahan community died, to express feelings of grief. and deep sorrow for the family members left behind. This work, the author begins with the game Saluang and Mansi Solok, where the initial part is played simultaneously with the intention of being the basic tone of the melody to be played. The composition of the saayuak musical is the result of the worker's interpretation of the ayuak technique that the author works on in the form of a musical composition with an approach work on tradition, which aims to maintain the spirit of tradition in this work.Keywords: Ratok Paninggahan, Ayuak, Tradition Approach, DendangABSTRAKAyuak adalah sebuah teknik vokal yang digunakan oleh pedendang tradisi dalam dendang ratok,teknik ayuak ini sangat khas sekali dalam memberikan ornamen melodi dendang ratok paninggahan.Dalam sejarahnya kesenian ini dulunya dilakukan apabila salah seorang anggota keluarga dari masyarakat Paninggahan meninggal dunia, gunanya untuk mengekspresikan perasaan duka dan kesedihan yang mendalam bagi anggota keluarga yang ditinggalkan. Karya ini pengkarya memulainya dengan permainan Saluang dan Mansi Solok yang mana bagian awal ini dimainkan secara bersamaan dengan maksud sebagai nada dasar dari melodi yang akan di mainkan.Komposisi karawitan saayuak adalah hasil interpretasi pengkarya terhadap teknik ayuak tersebut yang pengkarya garap dalam bentuk komposisi karawitan dengan pendekatan garap tradisi, yang bertujuan untuk tetap mempertahankan roh tradisinya di dalam karya ini.Kata Kunci: Ratok Paninggahan,Ayuak, Pendekatan Tradisi, Dendang

Abstract

In the 2019 general election, the Indonesian people simultaneously elected the President and Vice President and legislative members. The Indonesian people are waiting for who will lead the next five years, especially for the President and Vice President with figures Joko Widodo - Ma'ruf Amin and challenger Prabowo Subianto - Sandiagan Uno. This study aims to determine the perceptions of first-time voters in the two-figure Presidential election in 2019. This study uses a quantitative descriptive study, data obtained from the sample of the study population were analyzed according to the statistical methods used. Descriptive research in this study is intended to get the perception of novice voters at SMAN 5 Surakarta of the presidential candidates in the 2019 general election. There are several things that can affect perceptions about the figure of the President, namely leadership, anti-corruption, welfare, nationalism and change for a more Indonesian state good. All factors are obtained through social media owned by novice voters. Beginner voters in SMAN 5 Surakarta are in the category of critical voters because with knowledge of social media and issues in the media are able to assess whether the prospective leader is eligible to be elected in the general election.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know the students’ ability in learning modal auxiliaries, especially in using forms and understanding meanings of modals. This research was conducted at SMPN 184 East Jakarta. In sample, the writer used purposive or selected random sampling, she just took 43 out of 160 second year students. She gave a test to the students, it was focused on modals. In conclusion, most of the second year students have difficulty in learning modal auxiliaries. It shows that mean score in using the form of modals is 5.90 and the mean score in understanding the meaning of modals is 5.84. Based on Gronlund standard of six, it is bad because it has not got 6. While many students got low score in the meaning is 51.16% and in the form of modals is 46.51%.Key words: Kinds of modal auxiliaries, forms of modals, meanings of modals
