Abstract

This study aims todescribe the achievement of students' social-emotional development through traditional games in learning at Mutiara Integrated Islamic Kindergarten Makassar. Analyzing the supporting and inhibiting factors of the use of traditional games in learning for the socio-emotional development of students at Mutiara Integrated Islamic Kindergarten Makassar. This type of research is classified as qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The research design used in this study is related questions, prepositions, reviewing literature, data analysis and report writing. Furthermore, data collection techniques are interviews, observations, documentation, and reference searches. Data processing and analysis techniques are carried out through three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the research on the achievement of students' social-emotional development through traditional games in learning obtained a description of the results of self-awareness including showing self-ability, knowing one's own feelings, managing one's own emotions, recognizing other people's emotions, and motivating oneself. A sense of self-responsibility includes knowing their rights, obeying class rules, self-regulation, taking responsibility for their behavior for their own good. Prosocial behavior includes playing with peers, sharing with friends, being cooperative with friends, expressing emotions that are appropriate to existing conditions (happy-sad-enthusiastic, etc.). Supporting and inhibiting factors for the use of traditional games in learning for the socio-emotional development of students, results related to the supporting factors for the use of traditional games include teacher awareness, availability of facilities, recognition of educational values, involvement of the learning community, and family environment. Factors inhibiting the use of traditional games include health conditions, the influence of technology, and diverse interests.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the strategic management approach used to improve teaching standards at Al Bayan Junior High School Makassar City. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques used include notes, interviews, and observations. This research uses three activity streams for qualitative data analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification/conclusion drawing. The data triangulation technique was used in assessing the validity of the data. The findings show that: (1) Al Bayan Junior High School Makassar City conducts integrated, methodical, and comprehensive planning through the following stages in order to realize the quality of education: a) Examining the school's internal environment both material, technical, and human resources. b) Examining the geographical, social, and economic context outside the school. c) Careful observation and in-depth analysis. (2) In implementing initiatives aimed at raising educational standards, Al Irsyad leaders use the following policies: a) Continuous process improvement. b) Creating standards for school improvement and quality assurance. c) Establishing a school culture. d) Modifying the organizational structure. e) Maintaining positive interactions with customers. (3) To verify that a high-quality education program has been achieved, evaluation is also conducted in the following ways: a) by tracking all results from planning and implementing strategic management activities. b) evaluating student and individual performance. c) providing reports on how all actions were carried out; and d) making necessary corrections.

Abstract

This study evaluates the quality management of the Elementary School Teacher Education (PGMI) program at STIT Sunan Giri Bima using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. A descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach was employed. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that: 1) The context aspect shows alignment between the institution's vision and mission with modern needs through technology-based curricula and advanced facilities; 2) The input aspect includes qualified lecturers with master's degrees and dual expertise, supported by facilities such as smart classrooms and laboratories; 3) The process aspect demonstrates innovative technology-based learning and active interaction between lecturers and students, including the use of digital media; 4) The product aspect indicates graduates possess both academic and practical competencies relevant to workforce demands, with many alumni contributing to primary education in society. This evaluation highlights the importance of continuous development, including enhancing lecturer competencies and aligning curricula with global demands. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for improving education quality at STIT Sunan Giri Bima and similar institutions, producing high-quality educators capable of competing at national and international levels.

Abstract

Penelian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi Program 5S (Salam, Sapa, Senyum, Sopan, dan Santun) sebagai langkah untuk memperkuat Akhlakul Karimah di antara siswa MIS Nurul Muttaqin Topoyo dengan menerapkan Model CIPP (Konteks, Input, Proses, Produk). Penelitian ini mencakup analisis mengenai konteks, input, proses, dan hasil dari program budaya 5S (Salam, Sapa, Senyum, Sopan, dan Santun), diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan menyeluruh tentang kelebihan dan kekurangan dalam implementasi atau pelaksanaan program tersebut. Jenis penelitian yang dilaksanakan pada penelitian ini adalah studi lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriftif dengan Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, interviu (wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, data display dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program 5S (Salam, Sapa, Senyum, Sopan dan Santun dapat meningkatkan hubungan sosial antar siswa. Dari segi konteks, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya 5S sebuah program yang sangat penting dan dibutuhkan oleh madrasah dalam rangka mewujudkan visi dan misi madrasah, dari komponen input, menujukkan bahwa ketersediaan juknis dan anggaran menjadi salah satu kunci dalam mewujudkan program budaya 5S, Namun terdapat beberapa kendala terkait dengan keterbatasan fasilitas. Dari segi proses, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan budaya 5S memiliki peluang dan tantangan, akan tetapi kesiapan dan dukungan dari kepala madrasah dan juga guru menjadi salah satu faktor keberhasilan program ini walaupun masih kurangnya keterlibatan orang tua dalam mendukung program ini. Dari segi produk, penerpaan budaya 5S di kalangan siswa memberikan pengaruh terhadap kebiasaan siswa dalam memperbaiki disiplin, dan memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap perkembangan karakter siswa. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, disarankan untuk meningkatkan dukungan sumber daya dan memperkuat kerjasama antara madrasah dan orang tua guna memperbesar dampak program 5S (Salam, Senyum, Sapa, Sopan dan Santun terhadap pembentukan Akhlakul Karimah untuk seluruh siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model integrated with character values on improving students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor competencies in physics learning. The research was conducted using One Group Pretest-Posttest experimental design on class X students at SMAN 1 Jeneponto, South Sulawesi. Data were collected through cognitive tests, psychomotor observation sheets, and affective questionnaires. The results of the analysis showed that the application of PBL-NK model significantly improved all three aspects of student competence. The highest average score was achieved in the psychomotor aspect (86.5), followed by the cognitive (84.6) and affective (80.5) aspects. This improvement was proven through paired t-test with significant results on all variables (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that PBL-NK not only improves the understanding of physics concepts, but also supports the formation of student character in accordance with the Pancasila Student Profile. This model proves to be relevant in answering the challenges of 21st century education through the integration of competency-based learning and character values. It is recommended that teachers receive special training to apply this model, and the development of PBL-NK-based teaching materials is carried out to support the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in various subjects.

Abstract

The choice of a major in college is a complex academic decision influenced by various factors such as academic achievement, interest, and external motivation. This study explores the relationship between high school learning achievement and interest in choosing a Biology Education major at the State Islamic University (UIN) Alauddin Makassar. This study uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto method, involving 77 students of the 2017 intake as samples. Data were collected through documentation of report card grades and a questionnaire on interest in choosing a major, then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including the Pearson correlation test. The results showed no significant relationship between learning achievement in high school and interest in choosing a Biology Education major (significance value = 0.424; p > 0.05). Additional analysis based on gender and school origin also showed no significant differences. These findings indicate that the choice of major is not entirely based on previous academic achievement but can be influenced by other factors such as social influence, family expectations, and career prospects. In addition, around 37.66% of students who choose this major have a low level of interest, which has the potential to affect their motivation and academic success in college. The implications of this study highlight the need for a re-evaluation of the freshman selection process as well as the importance of academic counseling services to ensure students have a better understanding of their academic options.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the PIBA program at UIN Alauddin Makassar, with a specific focus on Arabic language instruction. The evaluation covers key components such as instructional procedures, supporting facilities, student engagement, and the challenges encountered throughout the program. Employing a qualitative approach and field research methods, the study involved leaders, instructors, and third-semester PIBA students as participants. The findings showed that Arabic language teaching within the PIBA program employed a range of instructional methods and models. Although lecture and discussion formats facilitated student interaction, the limited use of interactive strategies such as simulations and technology integration reduced active student participation. Moreover, the instructional materials were not sufficiently adapted to address the diverse needs of students, indicating the necessity for more flexible and competency-based modules. Time constraints during classroom sessions also hindered in-depth exploration of the content. Based on these findings, the study recommends innovations in teaching approaches through the integration of technology, the development of adaptive learning resources, and improved time management to enhance program effectiveness. Periodic evaluations are also considered essential for ensuring continuous improvement in Arabic language education at UIN Alauddin Makassar and for positioning it as a relevant instructional model in the digital era.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan modul ajar fisika berbasis PBL-NK yang valid dan didukung media digital Canva. Penelitian merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, namun dibatasi pada tiga tahap awal: analisis, desain, dan pengembangan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, dan lembar validasi. Observasi dan wawancara digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan guru dan peserta didik, sedangkan lembar validasi menilai aspek isi, bahasa, penyajian, integrasi nilai karakter, dan penggunaan media Canva. Data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan teknik Gregory, sementara data kualitatif dianalisis melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul ajar berbasis PBL-NK dengan dukungan media digital Canva dinyatakan valid berdasarkan penilaian para ahli, serta berpotensi untuk digunakan sebagai inovasi pembelajaran yang selaras dengan Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1)Mengembangkan bahan ajar handout bervisi SETS(Science, Environment, Tecnology, and Society) pada pembelajaran IPA peserta didik kelas IVSDN 27 Bontoramba Kabupaten Jeneponto. 2) Menganalisis tingkat kevalidan,kepraktisan, keefektifan pengembangan bahan ajar handout bervisi SETS (Science,Environment, Tecnology, and Society) pada pembelajaran IPA peserta didik kelas IVSDN 27 Bontoramba Kabupaten Jeneponto. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitianpengembangan atau research and development (R&D) dengan desain penelitianmenggunakan model pengembangan 4-D yang dikembangkan oleh S. Thiagarajan &Semmel yaitu: (1) tahap pendefinisian (define), (2) tahap perancangan (design), (3) tahappengembangan (develop) dan (4) tahap penyebaran (disseminate). Adapun sumber datapenelitian ini adalah para ahli (ahli materi dan ahli media), guru wali kelas dan seluruhpeserta didik kelas IV berjumlah 12 orang, serta buku paket. Selanjutnya, metodepengumpulan data dan instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket, tes, danobservasi. Lalu, teknik pengolahan dan analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis datakevalidan, analisis data kepraktisan, dan analisis data keefektifan melalui rumus. Hasilpenelitian ini adalah: 1) Produk berupa bahan ajar handout bervisi SETS (Science,Environment, Tecnology, and Society) dengan judul “Teori Gaya di Sekitar Kita” padapembelajaran IPA kelas IV. 2) Hasil uji validitas oleh para ahli (ahli materi dan ahlimedia) diperoleh nilai rerata total 3,25 yang berada pada interval 2,5 ≤ V ≤ 3,5 dengankategori valid, hasil uji kepraktisan melalui respon guru dan peserta didik diperoleh nilaipersentase masing-masing 100%, yang berada pada interval 50-100% dengan kategorilayak/praktis, dan hasil keefektifan bahan ajar dilihat dari 3 aspek yaitu kemampuanguru mengolah pembelajaran diperoleh nilai rerata total persentase sebesar 89,2%,peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran dieroleh nilai rerata total 87,9%, yang keduanyaberada pada interval 80-89% dengan kategori baik. Dan nilai rata-rata ketuntasan hasilbelajar peserta didik, diperoleh nilai persentase sebesar 92% yang berada pada interval85-100% dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Kemudian, diperoleh nilai persentase 67% padakategori sangat tinggi dengan jumlah 8 peserta didik, 25% pada kategori tinggi denganjumlah 3 peserta didik, dan 8% pada kategori sedang dengan jumlah 1 peserta didik.Berdasarkan uraian tersebut, maka bahan ajar handout bervisi SETS yang dikembangkanvalid, praktis, dan efektif digunakan.
