Abstract

AbstractThe research aims to know and describe the effectiveness of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach in the trigonometry topic at class XI of SMK SMTI Negeri Pontianak Mechanical Engineering Department. The aspects that want to be knowand describe are the implementation of the learning process, student’s learning activities, student’s respond and student’s outcomes. The research method is descriptive method. The research subject is students in class XI TP 2. Based on the data analysis from four aspects are: (1) the implementation of the learning process categorized very good with average score 3,73; (2) student’s learning activities categorized active (77,55%); (3) student’s respond categorized positive with 3 student (8%) give a very positive respond and 33 student (92%) give a positive respond; and (4) student’s outcome is not reached classical completness with only 75% of student can achieve the minimum completeness criteria. Because only three out of four aspects that achieved, the coclusion  of this research is the implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach less effective in the trigonometry topic at class XI TP 2 SMK SMTI Negeri Pontianak. Keywords:  Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach, Trigonometry Subject, Effectiveness

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to know and describe the teacher’s class management, student’s learning activities, student’s respond and student’s outcomes in the implementation of cooperative learning with Group Investigation (GI) type in the operation of fraction topic at class VIIA SMPN 8 Pontianak. The research method is descriptive method. The research subject is students in class VIIA. Based on the data analysis that review four aspects, the results are: (1) the teacher’s class management categorized very good with average score 3,56; (2) student’s learning activities categorized active (72,35%); (3) student’s respond categorize positive with 6 student (25%) give a very positive respond and 18 student (75%) give a positive respond; and (4) student’s outcome is not reached classical completeness with only 41,67% of student can achieve the minimum completeness criteria. Because only three out of four aspects that achieved, the conclusion of this research is the implementation of cooperative learning with Group Investigation (GI) type less effective to apply in the operation of fraction topic at class VIIA SMPN 8 Pontianak. Key words: Cooperative learning, Group investigation, Effectiveness

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to develop a mathematical representation test by analyzing the Rasch model and explaining the mathematical representation ability of junior high school students in Pontianak. This research is in the form of research and development with the type of research is the development instrument. The representation test was developed through the formative research stage, which is the preliminary stage; the preparation and design phase, then followed by the formative evaluation stage; one-to-one, expert review, small group with Rasch model analysis, and field tests. Based on the results of the item analysis, it was found that the mathematical representation test instrument analyzed by the Rasch model was precisely in accordance with the specified criteria, so that it could be used to measure students' mathematical representation abilities. Based on the results of the analysis of the answers, it was found that the mathematical representation of junior high school students in Pontianak mostly had difficulty in translating forms of image representation into verbal representations and translating forms of verbal representations into image representations. Keywords: Instruments Development, Representation Test, Analysis Of The Rasch Model

Abstract

ABSTRAKThis research purposed to obtain the overview of mathematical disposition of student mathematics education, especially the students who took number theory subject. In obtaining these overview will be applied by humanis mathematics learning model. The specific purpose of this research are: 1) describe mathematics disposition of the students; 2) describe the process of application model to increase mathematic dispositions of the student; 3) describe the effectiveness of application model. The purposes are achieved through several stages, including: 1) analyze the theoretical; 2) explore the characteristics of a mathematical disposition; (3) identify and analyze problems; (4) reviewing the learning model; (5) applying model to increase mathematic dispositions that based on observation; 6) gives a questionnaire about mathematical disposition; and 7) analyzing the data. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Based on the purpose that disclosed, the results of research: 1) mathematical disposition of the students after the application model, shows 74% very positive attitude; 24% positive attitude; and 2% doubtful attitude; 2) the process of application model that facilitates appearance of a mathematical disposition of the students based on ability cognitive domain, affective domain, and domain skills, showing the criteria very well and good; and 3) the application of humanis mathematics learning model effective to increase mathematics disposition of the students in Number theory subject. Abstract

Early age is generally the period of playing for children. The interaction among them when they are playing together actually shows social values. The values such as helping each other, togetherness are built up within them when they are playing. This social system consists of children activities where their interaction, contact, and togetherness are based on certain patterns. The children are directed toward psychological situation and condition to develop happiness, enjoying beauty, expressing feeling through words and rhythm which make learning more enjoyable. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui  miskonsepsi siswa pada materi himpunan di kelas VII SMP Santa Monika Kubu Raya dan penyebab miskonsepsi yang berasal dari siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah tes diagnostik dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian yaitu 8 siswa kelas VII SMP Santa Monika. Subjek ditentukan berdasarkan jawaban tes diagnostik dan skor CRI yang diberikan siswa. Berdasarkan analisis data, miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa pada materi himpunan seperti miskonsepsi pengeneralisasian, miskonsepsi penspesialisasian dan miskonsepsi notasi. Penyebab miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa disebabkan oleh: 1) pemahaman yang tidak lengkap seperti catatan yang tidak lengkap; 2) pemikiran siswa sendiri seperti gabungan dalam materi himpunan sebagai gabungan dua kelompok benda, gabungan tidak memiliki irisan, himpunan memiliki sifat berkelompok, mendaftarkan anggota sama dengan keanggotaan himpunan, konsep himpunan bagian sama dengan irisan,   dan irisan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sama dengan irisan yang ada pada materi himpunan.   Kata kunci : Miskonsepsi, Penyebab Miskonsepsi, Materi Himpunan Abstrak: This case study research is aims to know misconception in material set of VII grade student’s of SMP Santa Monika Kubu Raya and the causes of students misconception derived from the students. The method of this research is used descriptive. The instrument that been use diagnostik test and interview. The subjek of this reseacrh is eight students of VII SMP Santa Monika. The subject is decided based on their answer on diagnostik test and CRI score that student’s had  given. Based on data analysis, misconceptions  experienced by students on material set such as misconceptions about overgeneralizing, misconceptions about overspecializing, and misconceptions about notation. The causes of the students misconception experienced by students caused by: 1) incomplete comprehension as incomplete notes; 2) students thoughts as union is a combination of two different groups, union don’t have intersection, set characteristic are groups, equate set elements enroll with set affilations, equate subset with intersection, and equate  intersection in every day life  with intersection in material set.   Keywords: Misconceptions, causes of students misconceptions, set in mathematics

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada materi trigonometri yang dikaji dari self concept siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Kubu Raya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 9 siswa. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan mengambil 3 siswa yang memiliki self concept tinggi, 3 siswa yang memiliki self concept sedang, dan 3 siswa yang memiliki self concept rendah. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada materi trigonometri untuk siswa yang memiliki self concept tinggi adalah sangat baik, kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada materi trigonometri untuk siswa yang memiliki self concept sedang adalah baik, dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada materi trigonometri untuk siswa yang memiliki self concept rendah adalah cukup baik.   Kata kunci : Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah, Self Concept, Trigonometri Abstract: The research aims to describe the problem-solving ability on the materials about trigonometry of students’ self concept in SMA Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Kubu Raya eleven grade. The method is used descriptive method with case study of research. The sample of research was 9 students. The sample determination is done by taking 3 students who have high self concept, 3 students who have average self concept, and 3 students who have low self concept. The results of data analysis showed tha the problem-solving ability on the materials about trigonometry for students who have high self concept is very good, problem-solving ability on the materials about trigonometry for students who have average self concept is good, and problem-solving ability on the materials about trigonometry for students who have low self concept is good sufficient. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengaktifkan pengetahuan awal dengan penerapan strategi know-want-learn berstruktur multirepresentasi. Metode deskriptif dengan bentuk studi kasus digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan. Subjek penelitian adalah kelas VIII D sebanyak 5 orang. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes pengetahuan awal dalam materi aljabar. Tes dalam penelitian ini berupa pretes dan postes. Pretes diberikan untuk mengetahui kesulitan siswa mengaktifkan pengetahuan awal. Kesulitan siswa yang sudah diidentifikasi selanjutnya diberikan treatment berupa strategi know-want-learn berstruktur multirepresentasi. Postes diberikan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan awal siswa setelah diberikan treatment. Hasil tes dianalisis berdasarkan tiga indikator keaktifan pengetahuan awal yaitu memprediksi makna, membuat kesimpulan dan menghubungkan keterkaitan antar informasi yang disajikan. Hasil analisis data pretes menunjukan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan mengaktifkan pengetahuan awal dan analisis data postes menunjukan bahwa treatment dapat meningkatkan keaktifan pengetahuan awal siswa.Kata kunci : Strategi know-want-learn, multirepresentasiAbstract: The purpose of this research is to activate prior knowledge with implementation of structured multiple representation know-want-learn strategy. Descriptive methods with case study forms are used to achieve the objectives. The five subjects of the study were students of class D of eight grade. The tools for collecting data is prior knowledge test on algebra. Test of this research are pretest and postest. Pretest was given to know the difficulty activate student prior knowledge. The difficulties are identified then given treatment in the form of structured multiple representation know-want-learn strategy. Postest is given to know the prior knowledge after being given treatment. The test result are analyzed based on three indicators are predict meaning, make a conclusions and connecting linkages between the information presented. Pretest data analysis result showed that student have difficulty activating their prior knowledge and postest data analysis result showed the treatment improve student prior knowledge.Keyword : Know-want-learn strategy, multiple representation

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation terhadap pemahaman konseptual matematika dan kecerdasan emosional siswa dalam materi sistem linear tiga variabel kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Pra-eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pretest posttest. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X MIA 1 yang berjumlah 37 siswa. Sampel ditentukan melalui teknik cluster sampling. Hasil analisis data menggunakan Effect Size (sebesar 0.95) menunjukan bahwa pemahaman konseptual siswa termasuk pada kategori tinggi. Untuk data kecerdasan emosinal siswa menggunakan perhitungan skala likert terdapat  97% siswa memiliki kecerdasan emosional tinggi. Hal ini menggambarkan bahwa Pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation (GI) memberi pengaruh tinggi terhadap tingkat pemahaman konseptual matematika dan kecerdasan emosional pada materi Sistem Linear Tiga Variabel (SLTV) kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak.   Kata kunci : Pemahaman Konseptual, Kecerdasan emosional. Abstrak: This research aims to ascertain the effect of cooperative learning Group Investigation of the mathematics conceptual understanding and emotional intelligence of students in System of Linear in Three Variable in class X SMA 4 Pontianak. The method used is a pre-experimental and research design is one group pretest posttest. The sample in this research is a class X MIA 1, amounting to 37 students. The sample was determined by cluster sampling technique. The results of analysis data with Effect Size (at 0.95) showed that students' conceptual understanding included in the high category. For Students’s emotional intelligence data using a Likert scale calculations contained 97% of students have a high emotional intelligence. This illustrates that the type of cooperative learning Group Investigation (GI) gives a high influence on the level of mathematics conceptual understanding and emotional intelligence on the subject System of Linear in Three Variable (SLTV) in class X SMA 4 Pontianak.   Key words : Conceptual Understanding, emotional intelligence

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan siswa pada materi bangun datar segi empat di kelas VII SMP Negeri 17 Pontianak. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Hasil analisis pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang terkait proses berpikir siswa dan dibantu oleh hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa proses berpikir siswa kelompok atas sudah berada pada tahap deduksi informal, sedangkan proses berpikir siswa kelompok menengah dan kelas bawah berada pada tahap analisis. Hasil posttest yang dilaksanakan menunjukkan bahwa 63,2% siswa  tuntas. Siswa mendapatkan aktivitas-aktivitas yang sesuai dengan tahap berpikir mereka pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran yang sudah dikembangkan sesuai bagi siswa di kelas VII SMP Negeri 17 Pontianak. Kata Kunci : bangun datar segiempat, teori Van Hiele Abstract: This research aims at developing the appropriate learning model on quadrilateral planar material for the 7th Grade students of SMPN 17 Pontianak. The methods used in this study were researching and developing. Based on the analysis on the learning process in relation to the  students’ thinking process and the interview, it was shown that the thinking process of the upper group of students was on the level of informal deduction. As for the middle and lower groups of students, the level was on analysis. The posttest revealed that 63.2% of students passed the material. The students experienced the activities in accordance with their ways of thinking during the learning process. In conclusion, the learning model developed for the 7th Grade students of SMPN 17 Pontianak is already appropriate. Key word : quadrilateral planar, Van Hiele’s theory
