Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in students’ mathematical communication skills among those taught using the cooperative learning models Think Pair Share (TPS), Think Talk Write (TTW), and Teams Games Tournament (TGT). This research employed an experimental design. The population consisted of all fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 148 Palembang in the 2024/2025 academic year, distributed across four classes. The research sample included classes IV.A, IV.B, and IV.C, selected using a cluster random sampling technique with a posttest-only control group design. Data were collected through a mathematical communication skills test. The results of the one-way ANOVA analysis showed no significant difference in students’ mathematical communication abilities among the three cooperative learning models. However, based on the posttest results, students who were taught using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model demonstrated slightly better mathematical communication skills compared to those in the TPS and TTW groups. Therefore, although statistically insignificant, the TGT model appeared to provide a more engaging learning environment that supports the improvement of students’ mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the PMRI approach on mathematical problem-solving skills based on the self-esteem of students at SD Negeri 31 Palembang. This research method is quasiexperimental. The research population is from grade 1 to grade 6 SD Negeri 31 Palembang. The sample used is the experimental class V.a totaling 26 students and the control class V.b totaling 25 students. The sampling technique in this research is random sampling. The treatment design was a posttest-only control design. data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and tests. The data collection technique was two-way ANOVA with a significance of 0,05. The result of this research is that there is a significant effect of the PMRI approach on mathematical problem-solving ability. There is a significant difference in the average mathematical problem-solving ability based on self-esteem. there is a significant interaction between learning approaches and self-esteem there is a mathematical problem-solving ability.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan kesulitan belajar dan untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar matematika materi pecahan kelas III di SDN 140 Palembang. Metode penelitian digunakan adalah kualitatif. Teknik analisis yang digunakan teknik analisis data deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan data tes, wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data yang diambil dan dikumpulkan bersumber dari guru kelas dan siswa kelas III. Analisis data yang dilakukan melalui tiga tahap pelaksanaan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data yang digunakan yaitu dengan triangualasi. penelitian yang telah dilakukan hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan belajar matematika materi pecahan pada kelas III SDN 140 Palembang yaitu kesulitan dalam memahami konsep, menerapkan prinsip, dan kesulitan menyelesaikan masalah verbal. Faktor yang mempengaruhi kesulitan belajar matematika materi pecahan terdiri dari faktor internal dan eksternal. Yaitu, minat dan motivasi belajar yang kurang, kemampuan dalam memahami pelajaran (intelegensi), daya ingat, suasana belajar yang kurang kondusif, dan penggunaan media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk dapat mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik pada materi segiempat dan segitiga. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode Deskriptif Kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas IV SDN 3 Kayuagung tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Peserta didik diberikan soal tes berupa essai. Selanjutnya hasil tes tersebut dianalisis berdasarkan pencapaian indikator penalaran matematis peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal yang diberikan. Menganalisis pencapaian tiap indikator kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik pada materi segiempat dan segitiga. Setelah dianalisis diperoleh rata-rata persentase kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik dari kelima indikator yang meliputi: peserta didik mampu menarik kesimpulan yang logis sebanyak 77,50%, peserta didik mampu memberikan penjelasan dengan model, fakta, sifat-sifat, dan hubungan sebanyak 57,00%, peserta didik mampu memperkirakan jawaban dan proses solusi sebanyak 53,31%, peserta didik mampu menggunakan pola dan hubungan untuk menganalisis situasi atau membuat analogi dan generalisasi sebanyak 53,50%, dan peserta didik mampu menyusun dan menguji konjektur sebanyak 40,00%. Jadi keseluruhan kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik pada materi segiempat dan segitiga termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai rata-rata persentase 56,26%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di SDN 21 Palembang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen Posttest Only Control Design. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas V di SDN 21 Palembang sebanyak 3 kelas yang berjumlah 70 siswa. Sampel penelitian dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik Purposive Sampling, kelas yang terpilih yaitu kelas VB sebagai kelas eksperimen berjumlah 22 siswa dan kelas VC berjumlah 23 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut (1) Ada pengaruh pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SDN 21 Palembang, dan (2) Ada korelasi kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SDN 21 Palembang.

Abstract

Perancangan pembelajaran inovatif melibatkan integrasi teknologi, kreativitas, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis, dengan fokus pada pendekatan, model, dan metode pembelajaran yang mendukung kolaborasi antara peserta didik dan guru. Meskipun konsep ini menawarkan banyak manfaat, terdapat beberapa tantangan dan permasalahan dalam implementasinya di Indonesia. Permasalahan tersebut antara lain adalah keterbatasan guru dalam kemampuan dan akses terhadap teknologi, dan kurangnya pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Kegiatan Pengabdiak kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menerapkan rancangan pembelajaran inovatif di abad 21 di SMA Negeri 16 Palembang. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi dan pelatihan secara tatap muka, dengan fokus pada peningkatan efektivitas pembelajaran, kreativitas guru, penggunaan sumber daya, dan kemampuan pembelajaran. Hasil dari pelaksanaan PkM menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan kepuasan guru terhadap perancangan pembelajaran inovatif, meskipun masih dihadapkan pada berbagai tantangan seperti keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana, serta rendahnya kemampuan penggunaan teknologi informasi. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan perancangan pembelajaran inovatif mampu meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam merancang pembelajaran yang efektif dan menarik di abad 21, dengan rekomendasi untuk pelatihan lanjutan yang lebih bervariatif dalam teknologi pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the principal’s policies in improving teacher performance at public junior high schools (SMP Negeri) in Keluang District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The principal plays a strategic role as an educational leader who is responsible for directing, guiding, and developing human resources—particularly teachers—so that they can perform professionally in accordance with the demands of the Merdeka Curriculum. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis. The research subjects include principals, teachers, and school supervisors. The findings reveal that the principal’s policies to improve teacher performance are implemented through four main strategies. First, enhancing teacher competence through training, workshops, academic supervision, and continuous professional development activities. Second, implementing reward and sanction systems to foster motivation and discipline among teachers. Third, building a collaborative work culture through subject teacher discussions (MGMP), regular meetings, and reflective teaching activities. Fourth, strengthening participatory leadership by involving teachers in school planning and evaluation processes. These policies have proven effective in improving teachers’ sense of responsibility, creativity, and instructional innovation. Thus, the principal’s role as a transformational leader is crucial in creating a conducive work environment and fostering efforts to improve the quality of education at the junior secondary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the professional competence of teachers as an effort to improve teacher performance at SMP Negeri 1 Muara Padang and the efforts made by the principal in developing professional competence of teachers in improving teacher performance at SMP Negeri 1 Muara Padang. The method used is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study can be concluded that the Professional Competence of Teachers as an Effort to Improve Teacher Performance at SMP Negeri 1 Muara Padang, is very good, from the results of the author's research that some teachers have been able to foster student interest in learning. professional competence, and the Principal's efforts in Improving Professional Competence of Teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Muara Padang include attending Training, and attending KKG, conducting Classroom Action Research (PTK), and actively participating in professional organizations. And provide coaching to teachers, provide supervision, hold training, conduct visits between schools, and provide opportunities for teachers to continue their education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the principal's leadership in improving teacher competence. This study was conducted at SMK in North Indralaya Regency. The method used in the study was a qualitative method. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using qualitative techniques. The results of this study indicate that efforts to improve teacher competence through various activities that include pedagogical, personality, social, and professional competence. Teachers actively participate in training, utilize ICT, and discuss to improve learning. Educators are encouraged to be role models and establish good relationships with parents of students and the community. Teachers continue to improve their mastery of ICT materials and skills. The principal plays an important role as an educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator, and motivator. The principal shows commitment to the curriculum, provides opportunities for teacher development, ensures the implementation of educational standards, supervises, becomes a role model, encourages the use of ICT, and requires participation in MGMP for all teachers.

Abstract

The background to this research is that the critical thinking skills of students in class V are still in a fairly low category and the delivery of learning material is still very simple, namely using a conventional teacher-centered learning approach. The method in this research is an experimental sequence and the population in this research is all class V at SD Negeri 93 Palembang. The technique used in this research was cluster random sampling so that a sample of class VC was obtained as the experimental class and class VB as the control class. There are two data collection techniques in this research, namely a critical thinking ability test and a non-test (questionnaire) on interest in learning and the data analysis technique used is Two-Way ANOVA. Based on the results of the data analysis carried out, the results obtained are: (1) There is an influence of the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach on the critical thinking abilities of students at SD Negeri 93 Palembang (2) There are differences in critical thinking abilities based on students' interest in learning (high, medium, low) SD Negeri 93 Palembang (3) There is no interaction between learning approaches and interest in learning on students' critical thinking skills at SD Negeri 93 Palembang.
