Abstract

: This study aims to analyze the leadership synergy between School Leadership Principals and School Committees in improving the quality of education from the perspective of elementary school teachers. The research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. The population consists of all teachers at public elementary schools in Ilir Barat I District, Palembang, totaling 113 individuals. A sample of 88 teachers was selected using a proportional stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 26.00. The results indicate that both teacher perceptions of the leadership of School Leadership Principals and the role of School Committees have a positive and significant impact on the quality of education, both individually and simultaneously. These findings highlight that synergy between visionary and participatory school principals and active school committees can serve as a strategic force in supporting the improvement of basic education quality. The implications of this study can serve as a foundation for educational policy formulation and for strengthening collaboration among school stakeholders.

Abstract

Design Thinking is a creative approach to solving human-centered problems, emphasizing empathy, ideation, prototyping, and testing solutions. This approach is useful in creating student-centered learning innovations, providing positive experiences, and increasing learning engagement and outcomes. In the context of education, Design Thinking helps educators understand student needs through five stages: empathy, definition, ideation, prototype, and testing. Implementation of this method allows learning to be more effective, efficient, and interesting. This Community Service (PkM) is designed to socialize the concept of Design Thinking to educators through the delivery of materials and direct practice. The stages of activity include preparation, implementation: pretest, delivery of materials along with examples of design thinking concepts, creating interview instruments, reflection, and posttest, and program evaluation. Participants are trained to understand the concept of Design Thinking, identify implementation challenges, and create instruments to find and solve educational problems. The results obtained from this PkM activity are: (1) the average increase in understanding of the material on Design Thinking using N-Gain is 0.50, included in the moderate category (2) recapitulation of participant satisfaction with the PkM activities that have been carried out by the PkM team of the Mathematics Education and PPG Study Program obtained an average of 83.7% of participants strongly agree and 36.3% agree. From the results of this PkM activity, it can improve the competence of educators in implementing Design Thinking as an innovative learning method that is centered on students, so that "Design Thinking can Develop Creative Competence and Student Mindsets.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach on elementary school students' numeracy literacy skills based on Gender. The method used is an experimental method with a posttest-only control group design. The research subjects consisted of two fifth-grade classes at SDN 6 Palembang: the experimental class received PMRI-based learning, while the control class received conventional instruction. The instrument used was an essay test designed to measure students’ numeracy literacy skills. Data analysis using two-way ANOVA revealed that: (1) the PMRI approach had a significant effect on students’ numeracy literacy skills; (2) there was no significant difference in numeracy literacy based on Gender; and (3) there was no significant interaction between the teaching approach and Gender in affecting students’ numeracy literacy. Therefore, the PMRI approach is proven to be effective in improving students’ numeracy literacy skills, regardless of Gender

Abstract

This development research aims to produce valid, practical, and effectivelearning equipment. The developed learning equipmentincludesemester learning plans (RPS), student worksheets (LKM), and test questions in basic statistics courses using the PMRI approach oriented to statistical reasoning ability. This study employs the ADDIE development model. The quality of the product was assessed based on the validity, practicality, and effectiveness aspects. The result shows that the validity quality of the learning equipment has fulfilledthe valid criteria indicated by the average score of semester learning plans of 3.75 and the average score of the student worksheet of 3.70. The practicality of learning equipmenthas met the practical criteria indicated by the students’ questionnaire responsesscore of 3.125 and the results of learning implementation observation of 90.17. The effectiveness shows a score of 15% with low effective criteria, although based on the results of students’ answers as a whole, the students' statistical reasoning is at level 3 (Procedural Reasoning).

Abstract

This research aims to produce e-module products based on Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) on sequences and series materials that are valid, practical, and have potential effects. This research is a type of research and development using the ADDIE model, namely analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation. The object of research is the quality of PMRI-based e-modules on sequence and series material. Before being tested, the e-module was validated by material experts and media experts. In addition, there is also a student response questionnaire regarding the developed e-module and test questions. The validity of the e-module has an average score of 92%, which is determined based on the results of the assessment of the e-module by experts consisting of 2 lecturers and 1 mathematics teacher. The practicality of the e-module has an average score of 87%, which is determined based on the student response questionnaire to the e-module. The potential effect aspect has an average score of 87% obtained based on student learning outcomes tests. The results of expert validation, student response questionnaires, and tests show that the e-module developed is very valid, very practical, and has a very high potential effect. Overall, PMRI-based e-modules on the sequences and series material for SMA class XI are suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

This research aims to see the effect of the problem-based learning model on mathematical reasoning abilities based on students' self-regulated learning on the circle material. The method used in this research is an experimental method (quantitative) with a  factorial design. The sampling technique in this research is cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques used in this research include tests to measure mathematical reasoning abilities and questionnaires to measure self-regulated learning. Based on the results of the research data analysis, it was concluded that there was an effect of the PBL model on students' mathematical reasoning abilities which was carried out through the overall final test and there were differences in the results of the reasoning ability tests and SRL given the PBL and conventional models. There are differences in mathematical reasoning abilities based on self-regulated learning, from the results of calculations using the two-way ANOVA test, while the interaction between the learning model and self-regulated learning of SMP Negeri 15 Palembang students is not found or there is no interaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal’s strategies in planning, implementing, and evaluating Merdeka Curriculum and its contribution to improving the quality of education at SD Negeri 3 Margo Bhakti, Mesuji District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. As the first School leader (Sekolah Penggerak) in the area, SDN 3 Margo Bhakti has emerged as a pioneer and reference point in educational transformation, with the highest number of students among nearby elementary schools. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed to explore the leadership strategies adopted by the school principal in navigating the challenges and opportunities of Merdeka Curriculum implementation. The findings show that the principal’s strategy is organized into three main steps: planning, which uses SWOT analysis and matches the school’s goals; implementation, which focuses on teamwork among teachers, technology use, community participation, and clear budget management; and evaluation, which happens regularly through supervision and analysis of academic data. Merdeka Curriculum has greatly improved the quality of education at the school, making learning more flexible, enjoyable, and meaningful, while also promoting character development through the Pancasila Student Profile. Additionally, teachers receive ongoing training, mentoring, support from Merdeka Mengajar platform, and varied teaching methods. With strong leadership and steady execution, SDN 3 Margo Bhakti has successfully built an innovative, inclusive, and forward-looking learning environment.
