Abstract

This study aimed to develop teaching materials using an IT-based PMRI approach for junior high school students. The type of this research was a research and development model. This study employed the ADDIE development model consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The teaching materials were validated by material experts and media experts before being tested. In addition, this study involved a student response questionnaire investigating the IT-based teaching materials. The validity of teaching materials revealed an average score of 4.40 determined by the results of the teaching material assessment conducted by two expert lecturers, and an average score of 4.80, determined by the results of the teaching material assessment conducted by mathematics teachers at SMP Negeri 56 Palembang. The practicality of teaching materials (student books) had an average score of 4.27 determined by the students' responses to teaching materials. The results of validating material experts, media experts, subject teachers, and student response questionnaires indicated that the teaching materials developed were valid and practical. Overall, this study has shown that the teaching materials developed are very suitable for learning. In addition, the teaching materials developed can improve student learning outcomes on arithmetics materials.

Abstract

This development research was conducted in order to (1) develop valid and practical computer-based interactive learning materials on circles and (2) identify their effect on the leraning outcomes after they learned the materials at SMP Nurul Iman Palembang. The subjects of this research were the 34 students class VII. 7 of this school. The data were collected from walk through, documentation, observation and language. The average results were 87,11%. The materials were practical as shown by one to one try outs. The stedents achieved an average score of 73,33 that feel in the good range, and were involved the learning activities the very active (66,7%) and active (33,3%) ranges. In small group work, the students achieved an average score of 73,33 (good category) and showed levels of very active (50%). The rest were active (16,67%), fairly active (16,67%) and less active (16,67%) resepectively. Based on field test results, the materials gave effect on the students’ potential and learning outcomes. The final results of the students’ achievement were as follow : very good (20,59%), good (58,8%), adn fair (20,59%). In term of their activity levels, they were grouped into very active (27,45%), active (45,10%) and fairly active (27,45%).   Key words :  interactive learning materials, circles, developments, tangent line on the circle. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.22342/jpm.8.1.1861.55-70

Abstract

Berpikir kreatif merupakan titik mula lahirnya kreativitas individu. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengembangkan kreativitas peserta didik dimulai dari mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Hal ini dapat dilakukan melalui pendidikan matematika. Kreativitas berpikir matematis siswa akan nampak atau muncul jika didukung oleh suatu proses pembelajaran. Pembelajaran yang menimbulkan kreativitas berpikir matematis sangatlah bergantung pada cara penyampaian pembelajaran oleh guru. Salah satu pembelajaran yang dapat menimbulkan kreativitas berfikir matematis adalah pembelajaran berkarakter. Nilai karakter yang diperlukan dalam pembelajaran antara lain nilai spiritual, solidaritas, kedisiplinan, kemandirian, serta kemajuan dan keunggulan. Keberhasilan pendidikan karakter di sekolah adalah keberhasilan peserta didik dalam membangun karakter pribadinya, serta keberhasilan guru dalam membangun karakter peserta didik.

Abstract

The research is purposed to generate a  learning trajectory that supports students to understand the concepts of exponential through the context vegetative propagation in animals. The Design Research was chosen as the exact method to achive the objective. Hypotetical learning trajectory in the design research played an important role as the design and research instrument. Hypotetical learning trajectory was designed as the preliminary design and was examined to 50 students from the ninth graders of YPI Tunas Bangsa Junior high school.  (e.g 6 students from pilot experiment and 44 students from teaching experiment). The result of the learning experiment showed that drawing activity of the process of animal vegetative propagation could motivate the students to see the form of the animal multiplication. While seeing the animal multiplication through modeling (scheme, chart, and diagram), the students had an idea to calculate new animals had been formed, and used multiple numeral to determine the sum of the new animals. From the multiple numeral, an idea to state it in terms of repetitive numeral would bring the students into a definition of exponential. Based on the result above, it's suggested that context containing multiplication form be used, let the students see multiplication, and the students do it mathematically into the basic concept when they are learning exponential.

Abstract

This study aimed at determining the effect of work motivation and principal managerial competence on teachers’ performance. This research used descriptive quantitative. The populations of the research were 150 teachers as State High School in Banyuasin. The samples were 60 teachers. Sampling technique in this research was Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. The instruments were nquestionnaires. Data were analyzed using correlation and multiple regressions. The results showed that 1) teachers’ work motivation influences the teachers’ performance in SMA Banyuasin with 89,3%; 2) the principal’s managerial competence influences teachers’ performance in SMA Banyuasin with 76,6%; and 3) teachers’ work motivation and principal’s managerial competence influence teachers’ performance in SMA Banyuasin with 89,3%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop TPACK-based learning videos in fraction material for fourth grade elementary school students that are valid, practical and have a potential effect on student learning outcomes. This research is research and development using the ADDIE model with five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research took place at SDN 79 Prabumulih. The research subjects were 20 fourth grade elementary school students. Data collection was carried out by means of a media expert validation questionnaire, material expert, student response questionnaire, and student test questions. The data are analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The validation results of the validators got an average validation score of 95.43% with a very valid category. The results of student responses based on small group trials got an average score of 94.87% with a very practical category. The results of the large group trial get an average of 88.25% in the very good category or have a potential effect on student learning outcomes. It can be concluded based on the results of data analysis of TPACK-based learning videos in fraction material for fourth grade elementary school students including learning videos that are valid, practical, and have a potential effect on learning outcomes. Abstract

This study aims to produce an E-Module based on discovery learning in thematic learning of theme 6 sub-theme 1 for class II SD which is valid and practical and to determine the potential effects of development. This research is included in research and development, referring to the development of ADDIE. The research took place at SDN 199 Palembang. The research subjects were 24 second grade elementary school students. Data collection was carried out by means of a media and language expert validation questionnaire, material expert, mathematics teacher questionnaire, student response questionnaire, and student test result data. The data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that the validation of the validators got an average validation score of 88.66% with a valid category. The results of student responses based on trials got an average score of 91.58% in the practical category. The results of the test questions distributed to 24 students contained 21 students who completed and 3 students did not complete, the average student score was 84.50% in the very good category or had a potential effect on student learning outcomes.Keywords: E-Module, ADDIE, Discovery Learning, Thematic Theme 6 Sub-theme 1

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk melaksanakan tri darma perguruan tinggi serta penyususnan dan pengiriman artikel ilmiah ekonomi bagi peserta untuk penyempurnaan dan pengembangan indikator statistik sosial BPS Provinsi Sumatera Selatan.  Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakt (PkM) ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode ceramah, tanya jawab dan workshop atau praktek penyusunan dan pengiriman artikel ilmiah ekonomi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan selama satu hari. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan selama kegiatan berlangsung terjadi iteraksi timbal balik yang baik antara pemateri dan peserta, dimana peserta sangat aktif dan antusias dalam menyimak dan bertanya mengenai materi yang dipaparkan dan perperan aktif dalam menyusun artikel dan langsung praktek dalam pengiriman artikel  ilmiah ekonomi yang diinginkan. Selain itu juga dengan adanya kegiatan ini peserta sudah dapat mengetahui bagaimana menyusun dan mengirim artikel ilmiah ekonomi serta mengetahui jurnal-jurnal yang akan menjadi rujukan dalam mempublikasikan artikel ilmiah yang sudah disusun.Abstract: The aim of this service activity is to carry out the tri darma of higher education as well as the compilation and delivery of economic scientific journals for participants to improve and develop social statistical indicators of BPS South Sumatra Province. The method of implementing Community Service activities (PkM) is carried out using the method of lectures, questions and answers and workshops or the practice of compiling and sending economic scientific journals. The activities are carried out for one day. The results of the activity showed that during the activity there was a good reciprocal reaction between the presenters and the participants, where participants were very active and enthusiastic in listening and asking questions about the material presented and playing an active role in compiling journals and direct practice in sending the desired economic scientific journals. In addition, with this activity, participants can already know how to compile and send economic science journals as well as find out which journals will be a reference in publishing scientific articles that have been compiled.

Abstract

This study aimed at determining the principal's strategy to manage work stress conflicts in female teachers as the impact of implementing Full Day School. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with the type of phenomenological research. The research sites were SMAN 1 Talang Kelapa and SMAN 1 Betung Banyuasin Regency. The data in this study were in the form of observations, documentation, and interviews. Checking the validity of the data with source triangulation and method triangulation. Data analysis using the Spradley model The results in this study indicate that the principal conducts three strategies to manage work stress conflicts in female teachers as the impact of implementing Full Day School so that it does not interfere with teacher performance, student comfort, and does not hinder the achievement of school goals. The strategies adopted by the principal are 1) identifying the forms of work stress for female teachers, 2) identifying conflicts that arise as the effects of work stress for female teachers, and 3) resolving conflicts through personal approaches, official services, and religious approaches.

Abstract

Pada masa covid 19 ini setiap guru tentulah memerlukan suatu media pembelajaran untuk menyampaikan materi pembelajarannya. Penyampaian pembelajaran yang berkualitas dan menarik sangatlah diperlukan. Setiap guru dalam proses pembelajarannya telah membuat Rencana Proses Pembelajaran (RPP) yang dilengkapi dengan media pembelajaran. Sebagian besar guru telah membuat media pembelajaran yang salah satu media pembelajarannya adalah aplikasi Power Point (PPT). Aplikasi ini dapat menampilkan teks, gambar, suara, dan video. Setelah dilakukan wawancara kepada guru, diperoleh informasi tentang beberapa permasalahan yang ada yaitu para guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran seperti PPT masih sederhana, belum membuat media menjadi interaktif, media PPT yang dibuat belum menampilkan gambar, suara, dan video. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan guru dalam pembuatan PPT Animasi masih harus dikembangkan. Dari permasalahan yang diungkapkan oleh guru, dipilih permasalahan yang akan diselesaikan terlebih dahulu sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Tujuan kegiatan PKM ini adalah untuk mengenalkan kepada guru cara membuat PPT animasi.
