Abstract

ABSTRAK SJS/TEN merupakan reaksi yang melibatkan kulit dan mukosa yang berat dan mengancam jiwa. SJS dan TEN merupakan kejadian yang jarang terjadi, yaitu 1,4 – 12,7 kasus per 1 juta orang per tahun mengalami SJS dan TEN, dengan angka mortalitas 5% pada SJS dan 30-35% pada TEN. Obat merupakan penyebab utama SJS (50-80% dari kasus) dan TEN (80%). Tujuan: Mengetahui median total biaya per hari pasien SJS/TEN, serta pengaruh lama rawat inap terhadap total biaya SJS/TEN. Penelitian observasional analitik dengan sudut pandang masyarakat. Pengambilan data secara retrospektif menggunakan total sampling pasien rawat inap SJS dan TEN di RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta tahun 2014-2018. Analisis data dengan menghitung median (range) dan regresi linear pada SPSS IBM versi 22.0 untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama rawat inap terhadap biaya SJS/TEN. Terdapat 29 pasien yang dianalisis. Median total biaya per hari pasien SJS/TEN Rp 1.139.963 (Rp 665.294-Rp 8.776.895), dengan Rp 1.139.963 (Rp 740.267-Rp 8.776.895) pada SJS dan Rp 1.166.084 (Rp 665.294-Rp 1.514.607) pada TEN. Hasil signifikansi uji regresi linear lama rawat inap terhadap total biaya SJS/TEN adalah 0,093 (p>0,05). Median biaya per hari SJS/TEN adalah Rp 1.139.963 (Rp 665.294-Rp 8.776.895), dan lama rawat inap tidak mempengaruhi total biaya SJS/TEN.  Kata Kunci—Stevens Johnson Syndrome, Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis, analisis biaya, cost of illness  ABSTRACT SJS/TEN is a reaction that involves heavy and life-threatening skin and mucosa. SJS and TEN are rare events, 1,4 – 12,7 cases per 1 million people per year experiencing SJS and TEN, with a mortality rate of 5% in SJS and 30-35% in TEN. Drugs are the main cause of SJS (50-80% of cases) and TEN (80%). Objective: To determine the median total cost per day of SJS and TEN patients, and the effect of length of stay on the total cost of SJS/TEN. This study used an observational analytic with cross sectional design and societal perspective. The data was collected retrospectively using total sampling of SJS and TEN inpatients at RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta in 2014-1018. The data was analyzed by calculating the median (range) and linear regression in IBM SPSS version 22.0, to determine the effect of length of stay on SJS/TEN costs . There were 29 patients analysed. The median total cost per SJS/TEN patient was IDR 1.139.963 (IDR 665.294-8.776.895), with IDR 1.139.963 (IDR 740.267-8.776.895) on SJS and IDR 1.166.084 (IDR 665.294-1.514.607) on TEN patients. The significance linear regression of the length of stay in SJS/TEN was 0,093 (p> 0,05). Abstract

Cancer has been a global health issue. In 2018, cases related to cancer reached 18.1 million and the number of cancer-related deaths was 9.6 million. Pharmacists, play a crucial role in preventing and addressing Drug-Related Problems (DRPs) through pharmaceutical services. This research aims to examine the overview of Drug-Related Problems (DRPs) in inpatient cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and to define the pharmacist's interventions regarding DRPs in cancer patients at RSUP Dr. Kariadi Semarang. This study employed a retrospective data collection approach. The materials were obtained from pharmacist prescription reviews and the medical records of cancer inpatients undergoing chemotherapy in January 2022. The classification of Drug-Related Problems (DRPs) followed PCNE V9.1 guidelines. A total of 239 DRPs were identified. The main issues were related to treatment effectiveness (44%), treatment safety (43.9%), and others (12.1%). Common causes of DRPs included dosing selection (63.7%), drug selection (28.4%), and treatment duration (0.4%). Pharmacists' interventions were carried out at the prescription writing level in 376 cases (61.4%) and at the drug utilization level in 294 cases (38.6%). The verification of prescriptions by clinical pharmacists before drug preparation is a crucial step to reduce the potential occurrence of DRPs

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that remains a global health problem, with a high mortality rate, exceeding that of HIV/AIDS. In Indonesia, the incidence of TB-HIV reaches 36,000 cases, while cases of drug-resistant TB (TB-RO) are estimated at 12,000. The role of pharmacists in pharmaceutical services at primary healthcare facilities is very important, especially in drug management and clinical pharmacy. However, their role in TB preventive efforts does not yet have clear implementation standards. This study aims to develop guidelines related to TB preventive efforts in pharmaceutical services at primary healthcare facilities. This study used a qualitative method through in-depth interviews with officials from the Directorate of Pharmaceutical Services of the Ministry of Health and the central board of the Indonesian Pharmacists Association. The interviews aimed to obtain preliminary data for the development of a questionnaire that was then used in a cross-sectional study of pharmacists in primary healthcare facilities. The results showed five main domains in TB preventive efforts by pharmacists, namely: roles in clinical pharmacy services, drug management, TB case finding, community empowerment, and TB management. This study is expected to serve as a basis for the development of standardized standards for the role of pharmacists in TB prevention in primary healthcare facilities to improve the effectiveness of TB services and control in Indonesia.

Abstract

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) remains a major public health concern in Indonesia due to its high prevalence and potential to cause various long-term complications when glycemic control is not adequately maintained. Medication adherence and barriers to treatment are important factors that may influence therapeutic outcomes. This study investigated medication adherence, insulin-related treatment barriers, and their association with glycemic outcomes among patients with T2DM at RSPAU dr. Suhardi Hardjolukito Hospital, Yogyakarta. Employing a cross-sectional approach, this research gathered data between September and October 2024. Criteria for eligibility included adult individuals with T2DM who were treated with oral antidiabetic agents, insulin, or both and provided informed consent. Medication-taking behavior was evaluated by utilizing the Medication Adherence Report Scale (MARS-5) framework, while barriers to insulin therapy were evaluated using a specific questionnaire. Associations between adherence status and glycemic parameters were examined through Fisher's Exact Test. A total of 73 patients participated, most of whom were receiving oral therapy (65.8%), a combination of metformin and glimepiride (19.2%), or metformin and acarbose (11.0%). Among insulin users, the majority had low barriers to insulin use (92.0%). Statistical analysis yielded p-values of 0.038 and 0.000 for the associations between medication adherence and fasting blood glucose as well as HbA1c levels, and for the relationship between adherence status and random blood glucose measurements, a p-values = 0.542 was obtained. The findings demonstrated that therapeutic compliance is significantly correlated with both HbA1c and fasting blood sugar levels among individuals suffering from type 2 diabetes mellitus at RSPAU dr. Suhardi Hardjolukito Hospital, Yogyakarta. These results highlight the contribution of adherence behavior to successful glycemic management. Therefore, healthcare professionals are advised to implement strategies that encourage medication adherence to optimize glycemic control.

Abstract

A bibliometric analysis was conducted to assess the interest and significance of research on the Health Belief Model. The bibliographical information provides insights into the Health Belief Model concerning parents of children receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. As of January 25, 2023, data for the study were obtained from the Scopus database. Our analysis identified 876 articles with the keywords: Health Belief Model, Parents, and COVID-19 Vaccine. Articles were exclusively selected in English, and the analysis was performed using the R Studio 4.2.2 application for Bibliometric Analysis. China hosts the top five most productive authors, with Peking University contributing the highest number of articles (66 in total). The Vaccines Journal emerges as the primary publisher, while the majority of collaborative research on COVID-19 involves authors from the United States. Frequently used keywords include Human, Female, Male, Adult, COVID-19, and Article. The increasing trend in Health Belief Model articles related to the COVID-19 vaccine from 2020 to 2023 underscores the widespread interest in and appeal of this subject for discussion. Given the study's limitation, including only publications released before January 25, 2023, it is plausible that some more recent publications were unintentionally overlooked.
